"So, you want me to give you info on an unknown girl that has no record other than in the ruins?" A lizard monster questioned as she adjusted her glasses to fit her snout. The two skeletons were at a lab in hot land. Where they came to see the shipping crazed magnet and royal scientists Dr. Alphyus. Papyrus gave a strong nod as Sans was sitting on one of Alphies's messy desks. He looked extremely annoyed to be here as there was only one thing for sure about the good doctor. That she would do "ANYTHING" to get a date with the leader of the Royal "Harem." (A/N:? discomfort)

And sense Papyrus was good friends with her, he was confident that Alphyus would find a way to get the girl, Sans was looking for. Behind Alphyus stood a large computer with multiple cameras linked to it. Alphyus had a tendency to spy on couples for "scientific purposes".

"Let's see what I can do." She muttered as she launched a full-scale search.

Like the writer Frisk was regretting ever coming out of the ruins. There were street dancers working for money in skimpy clothes, people kissing in public and bars the full show everything.

She sure got some looks herself with that scarf wrapped so gosh darn tight. Hopefully Frisk wouldn't need to talk to anybody drunk or flirty. She prayed that there was just one "Normal" looking person in this whole entire town. Frisk noticed a burned down building not too far off. Curious she wanted to investigate before heading to her targeted destination. She looked at all the rubble with a bit of sadness. There was a misspelled sign that said Librarby burnt half way. This town was messed up in a lot of ways but to burn books was drawing the line. Toriel HAD told her that the king burned their history back in the day.

Walking away from the scene Frisk tripped a motion camera that was hidden underneath the sign. "Hey I think I found something!" Alphyus announced a bit shocked that the boys were telling the truth. Alphyus knew pretty much everyone in the underground thanks to her position as R.S. and this girl she had never seen before. Sans looked at the screen now a bit curious. Was this skinny scarf faced monster the girl in the cave or behind the door? " get a close up Alph. I got to hear them speak to be sure." Sans ordered, now at her side looking very hard at this new face he was seeing.

Frisk found the place on the map alright, but Toriel left out one thing. It was a STRIP BAR! Good lord Frisk's face was heated as she didn't want to go in. However, knowing if she didn't come back home without the item Toriel would be disappointed in her. Puffing up her chest Frisk took a moment before going inside, and out of the range of the camera. Making a mental note to only look up at the ceiling or at the floor until she could meet the owner of the bar. Sitting down she dinged the bell for service, and gave a few more breaths, despite the fowl smells already wafting in the air.

"May I help you, young lass?" A flaming fire monster approached with a strange looking halter top and purple sunglasses. Frisk still felt uneasy as she flipped the map over on its other side. Revealing Toriel's order. The flame monster raised an eyebrow at the strange girl before leaning over to read it.

"Ah, it's been a while sense I've spoken with the queen. Uh wait here and I will return with the jar." He smiled making Frisk exhale a bit as this seemed impossible to do. Suddenly somebody decided to sit right next to her, and setting off major stranger danger vibes. It looked like a robot wearing glasses. His jet-black hair glistened in the party lights as he leaned over and notice Frisk's pendant. His eyes went wide as he then looked up at the girl before him.

"Uh excuse me for starring I just.. That pendant..." Frisk looked down as best she could as she held her necklace in her hand. The robot seemed nervous as he looked over at any other monster in the room that might be in ear shot. "I would hide that if I were you." He began pointing at said accessory. Frisk pulled back as she didn't like where this was going. "Listen my name is Mettaton, I'm an entertainer of sorts." He whispered quietly, making Frisk immediately get nervous again.

"That is the necklace of the fallen. Which means your human right?" Frisk looked at this robot questioning what did he know about this thing. How did he know she was human? Mettaton went on to speak as Frisk listened. "You know the queen and yet you haven't guessed about that necklace?" Frisk gave Mettaton a look that said hurry up. This robot wasn't making much sense to her and she was getting annoyed. "Okay look. Every human that falls down here meets the queen. She grows fond of them, treats them like family, and then gives them that necklace." He explained under his breath. Frisk was stunned to hear this. Why would her moth-Toriel do something like this? Frisk demanded a better explanation as she slammed the counter in a fit. Mettaton tried to hush her to keep it down, before going on. "The old girl has her reasons okay. Yes, it protects you but she's done it so much that it labels you human and there for a target." Mettaton explained in a sad but exasperated voice.

A LOT of the humans that fell took her necklace and ran. Leaving her behind in the ruins, only to die later on. Magic doesn't last forever without its source to replenish it. That was a fact that Frisk took to heart. "Are you running too?" Mettaton asked as he sipped a glass he had ordered earlier. Sitting straight and acting like that conversation never happened.

Frisk gave a hard look before shaking her head no. The reason Toriel did all this was to protect her. Now she understood why. she sent them out here, because she trusted them.

Did, did Toriel know that Mettaton would be here?
