"Faster!" Frisk repeatedly thought as she ran for her life. Bumping into a dog couple kissing on the outskirts of the town. She didn't know what they would do to her if she was caught. So, she didn't take that chance. Surprised that Frisk was that fast, Sans chased after her leaving a startled group of people to gossip to themselves.
"Damit! I just wanted to talk to them some more!" Sans grunted as he saw them reach the forest up ahead. They were getting close to the door now and he was running out of time to stop them. One more turn up a hill and they would be safe. Frisk smiled as she could see her way home just twenty feet away.
Having enough of this running Sans decided to use his magic and teleported in front of the door. He was nervous but he wanted to speak his mind. Doubting that they would listen to him if he didn't do something. Sans began a fight and sealed them off from escaping. Frisk looked up at him wanting nothing to do with him but to let her go.
"Look I know I was being insensitive earlier and I'm... Sorry." Sans began looking at her apologetically. "Can ya throw this skeleton a bone? All I want is to talk to ya." Sans scratched the back of his skull as he was being honest. Frisk seemed a bit too uptight from what he could tell. (Besides the fact he was keeping her) Frisk scoffed at his offer. He was trying to be friendly? Now of all times! He could have turned her over to Asgore right now and then she wouldn't be able to see Toriel or Rose ever again. "What is it you want Sans? To be friends? I don't think you realize that your king wants me dead" Frisk spoke, gripping her hands tightly. Sans frowned at that thought. He didn't want them to leave but he also didn't want them dead. He... liked them...
"If... If you want, I can keep an eye socket out for ya?" Sans asked trying to regain his once confident self. Frisk raised her eyebrows in questionable shock as she looked at this guy in disbelief. Then again if she accepted, he would let her go right?
Frisk gave a sigh as she looked at his sorry face. "Okay Sans I'll bite. If you want to talk, we'll talk." Frisk answered trying to convince him to let her go, which he did. She waited for him to step by, which he did but, there was something stopping her from wanting to run. Why was this skeleton wanting to just talk? He seemed more genuine this time around. Instead of leaving she sat down on the snow and waited for him to do the same. Sans did sit and gave a small chuckle as he thought how silly it sounded to just talk. When clearly, he had done a LOT more to other female monsters. This human was special as it seemed as other humans that were thrown down here were just into well, sex.
The two ended up talking for an hour revealing that Sans wasn't always into this kind of work. That he liked to make people laugh every now and then and his brother meant a LOT to him. Frisk cracked a smile and listen to his stories with interest. As she agreed. Then Sans asked her questions giving her a turn to speak. Her likes, dislikes her life with the humans and with Toriel. It was a pleasant conversation. Then the question why she was down here to begin with was brought up. Frisk didn't want to answer as it haunted her nightmares.
"I can't... Sans." Frisk frowned as she crossed her arms and hid her face from site. She hated this feeling that she just couldn't shake. Fear, trama, anguish, Frisk had been beaten and hurt once before, literally and mentally. It was understandable now how she feared for her safety here. Having found others that don't mistreat her and chose to love her like a family. She wanted nothing more than to live again.
Sans gave a hesitated nod. "I understand Frisk. I won't push ya anymore." Sans smiled coming to an understanding of how Frisk saw him. He got up to leave but was stopped in his tracks. There at the bottom of the hill was Papyrus.
"SANS! IS THAT A HUMAN?"
