Sands of Change
Lady Countryrose
Ch. 12
When Hermione came back to camp to Lucy. Only to find the blonde come at her with a hugging tackle.
"I couldn't help but hear you two talking. I want to thank you for getting him to give me a chance."
Hermione huffed, trying to get out of the hug. "Don't thank me yet. It's going to be hard work."
Draco had told her to bring Lucy out to the beach with her. Once on the beach, he had shoved them into the moonlit water. Telling them to just bathe and meditate, by picturing the moon being sucked in through their skin.
They did as they were told. Only to be reminded of what they were doing, three times. But manage to get some moonlight into their systems. The next was to give off a small energy blast.
That was the beginning of their training. Between training sessions, archeologists were able to talk to Draco. Getting first-hand information.
Hermione found out that the disease had started at a far off place. Where most of the Wizarding Britain had thought that it would never come. For the better part of three months, it was like that. Until it evolved to be carried by non-magical beings. When it hit Britain, it became a firestorm. Transforming magic from what it was.
Stating that no one was ever the same. Slytherins became Dragon, Gryffindors into Godly beings, Ravenclaw into mages and Hufflepuffs into exceeds. But only those that had gone to Hogwarts. Making the first beings of the new world.
Hermione was sorry for those that had gone through the change. But if she had known. She would still want to come.
The time had passed. Marking the month since being on the island. Giving the two young women a strong ability. They were Celestial Dragon Slayers, and they were going to let the world know about them.
"I am not calling you my children," Draco roared at them. When Lucy had voiced a hundred times, "But we're Daughters of Draco."
Hermione felt her curves filled out from the training she had done. Her muscles had been fine-tuned. She even had gotten a new set of clothing, thanks to Virgo. Even Lucy had to get new clothes.
At first, Lucy hated it. She wanted her cute, sexy clothes. But Draco growled that they weren't practical. Nor would stand to test the power of a Dragon Slayer. It sure didn't hold up when she had used her own power in practice.
Hermione was embarrassed how little clothing was still covering Lucy. On top of that, Draco shoved her into the ocean. Just so she was out of his sight.
The last night on the island. Lucy had called Scorpio out. Only for the scorpion man to cry. Before, the two had given each other a hug.
"What shall we do, when we get back," asked Lucy.
Popo huffed, "Back to Bickslow I go." He sounded sad to Hermione.
One night, she had asked him why he came with her. Only to find that he wanted to protect her. Since there was no Harry or Ron to help her. She was never brave enough to ask about Ron.
Hermione groaned, "Not looking forward to seeing how the guys act."
"Oh, the mating issue," voiced Lucy. Shivering in her seat.
"What about you? You're facing the same thing," Hermione pointed out.
The two suddenly became hot and blushed at the possibility of things going out of hand. Especially when they had no idea of what to expect or with whom. Both had battled with dreams of the sexual nature. Enough they wanted to scream. Hermione could never see the guy's face. Just knowing that he was strong.
"You two hormonal females need an ice bath," hissed Draco from the beach. Enjoying his time under the night sky. Since he won't be out and about. Once they left the island.
Hermione huffed, feeling herself get up. Enjoying the feel of Celestial leather on her body. It felt like silk next to her skin. Moving with her body.
"Draco," she called, when she reached the beach. "Do you miss it?"
Hermione had asked many times in a month. Only rewarding her with more training.
"Being human, not as much as I used to. My friends and family, everyday. When I had thought I might have died. The Celestial King, giving me another option. I had to take it, even if it was to train you."
Hermione had thought long and hard about a question she wanted to ask. But always afraid to.
"Who is the Celestial King?"
Draco had started to laugh, long and hard. It had caused the island to shake. Causing people and things to fall to the ground.
"Oh, Hermione Granger! I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yet." Causing a sense of doom to build up in the pit of her belly. "Harry, 'the boy who lived', Potter, is the Celestial King!"
"WHAT!" Hermione cried in disbelief. If she hadn't fallen from Draco's laugh. She would have from that revelation. "H… how?"
Draco huffed, "You're asking me to explain the magic disease anomaly that happened. That changed Potter into a Celestial God?"
Hermione gaped at him. Filled with all sorts of emotions. Only for the tears to rain down her eyes. She could accept that Harry was long dead. But finding out he is an unreachable being. That alone caused a world rattling despair.
"HARRY!" She cried out into the night sky. Within a moment, the sky changed. Only to see a wave of change, before the stars moved away from the center point. Just before, a giant being stood in the middle of the anomaly.
"Hermione," the Celestial King spoke in soft tones. But it was strong enough to be heard. "You're back, no one has told me." He turned to Draco with a harsh look.
"I am not the only one, Potter. You should start with your lion."
The Celestial King waved his hand. Summoning Loke, before him. The lion stood next to Hermione with a sad look in his eyes.
"Why didn't you tell me," asked the Celestial King.
Loke waved his hand towards Hermione. Seeing her cry non-stop. "I didn't have the heart to see her like this. I still don't!"
Lucy rushed over to Hermione in awe. "You know the Celestial King?"
Hermione wiped away some of her tears. "Harry, my best friend. A brother in everything but blood. But… where's Ron?"
The Celestial King sighed. "He's long dead Hermione. The disease killed him. When his body couldn't handle the change. Not many from that time could."
"Ginny," she asked. Knowing that it would have killed Harry, if something happened to her.
"My Celestial Queen. Our daughter ended up being Lucy's Celestial Spirit, Aquarius. Even though her birth name is Lily Luna Potter."
Lucy gaped at him. "She is dating Scorpio."
The Celestial King groaned. "Yep, and I hate it. But whatever makes her happy."
"Ginny," asked Hermione. Knowing that Harry wouldn't live without her in his life.
"She became my Celestial Queen. Ever since the change, she never wants to come back."
Hermione nodded, she could see where Ginny was coming from. Not wanting to come and see many they knew, gone.
"I can't see you again, can I?"
The Celestial King shook his head. "Only if the world is at its end, I will. I am its final line of protection. Now you, Lucy and Draco are its protectors. Have a long, happy life, Hermione."
Then he was gone. With him, so we're Scorpio and Draco. Who they needed to get back to the Celestial World. Loke had said his farewells, before he too had left.
Before bed, the archeologists had given the girls their 75,000 j. Another key, for Lucy. Along with some books.
Hermione gave them a key code to the Runes. As well as magic, some copied books that she had. There were some books that she wanted from them. But they didn't want to give up. She magic some copies for herself.
All in all, everyone walked away happy. Lucy was excited to get back to Magnolia. While Hermione felt uneasy. She didn't know what to expect.
