Technological Transdimensional Turbulence

Part 2

"Okay so I have some questions," Fred told me.

I'd recently given Veronica a quick tour of my operation and then sent her out back into the world so that she could think about joining us while I made sure that I had a bit of extra protection should the Brotherhood Scribe turn out to be different from expected.

Thinking back I should have done this first, granted I'd been successful with Fred and the abilities of my enhanced mind hadn't let me down yet, but it paid to be careful even when you can sense how things are going to work out.

While I could handle a single Brotherhood Scribe I didn't wish to get involved with Veronica's extended family. She would have to choose between staying with them as they died in a hole in the ground or joining me and making a difference in this world. It seemed like an easy choice to me, I just couldn't totally depend on Veronica being rational about it.

She might not make the right choice and Master Yoda would say something about the future always being in motion.

Helping people wasn't one of my main concerns, however, I was willing to do stuff like take on some raider gangs or hand some free medical supplies to say the Followers of the Apocalypse if it meant I got her to help me with some of my projects.

Given that The Spice enhanced my mind in ways that gave me a sense of how things would work out I wasn't that much concerned about Veronica making the wrong choice. Yet I wanted to have an ace up my sleeve in case I turned out to be wrong. Having your own cyborg bodyguard was one hell of a trump card.

"I assume your questions have to do with the robot girl lying on the table," I said.

To be fair it is something that looks worrying if you didn't understand the context. The fact that Fred wasn't freaking out meant that she either trusted me a lot already, or she really was crazy. As long as she didn't become the axe-murdering kind of crazy or too obsessed with me I didn't mind if she acted a bit oddly.

"Jim. Please tell me you didn't kill anyone" she questioned.

No nothing like that.

"Relax Fred. This is a reprogrammed Terminator" I explained "She's an android and she's switched off rather than dead".

To be precise this was Cameron Phillips a cyborg sent back from the year 2027 to protect John Connor and his mother, Sarah Connor. Cameron is a more advanced model than the T-888 played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and far less likely to draw attention.

Cameron's living tissue model template was based on Allison Young, a human Resistance fighter who was close to John Connor; this allowed her to replace Allison in an attempt to infiltrate John's camp. Only she ended up working for the Resistance after being reprogrammed.

Like a T-888, the endoskeleton of a T-900 is made of a hyperalloy that was much more sturdy than anything they had in my world. The patent to that alone would have made me a famous inventor.

A T-900 is powered by a nuclear power cell from what I could recall from the show. I'd checked to make sure that she wasn't leaking any radiation. There was some minor damage to her body, I'd have to fix her up once I'd learned more about her hardware.

Right now I was focused on her software. The code was much more complex than that used in Star Wars droids and Fallout robots. It would take a great deal of study for me to understand it.

"I salvaged her body after she uploaded herself on some computers" I explained to Fred "A Terminator is a very advanced AI and so she needs a special chip to hold her programming. I've been visiting a few different universes so I was able to recover and wipe a chip from a compatible model. I then downloaded the AI program into the clean chip. Now I'm altering her programming so that she will serve and protect me rather than John Conner".

The chip was a marvel of engineering, it had the memory capacity and processing power of a whole room of computers from the early years of the 21st century and yet Cameron was supposed to be from only five years in my future. Skynet must be a genius.

I had to get rid of her more basic programming so that she would default to her mission to kill John Connor and anyone who got in her way. There were bound to be a few people out in the Fallout world who went by that name.

"So this is Terminator 2, not Terminator 1" Fred realised.

That did summarise things nicely.

"Yes, she'll be our protector," I said "I've been planning this for a while, studying droids and their programming".

Fred got closer to the cyborg.

"Do you like small brunettes?" she asked.

It did seem that way.

"Blondes have too much fun and redheads are crazy" I answered.

That I found the cyborg to be attractive and would be able to order her to have sex with me was just a nice bonus. Her primary purpose was my protection. The multiverse was a dangerous place and I planned to explore quite a bit of it. Having a devoted bodyguard who could take a lot of punishment just seemed sensible to me.

I'd not originally planned to even have a base of operations. I had at one point been tempted to just move from world to world and to pick things up as I went along. Then I'd decided otherwise as Rick Sanchez lived in his daughter's house, the Doctor had her TARIS and I had a vault in the Fallout world.

"And you like girls who are small," said Fred.

I smiled at her.

"Good things come in small packages" I stated.

She found that amusing.

"It's going to take me hours to go through all the code" I mentioned "You should find something else to do".

She'd want to help, but her knowledge was behind mine by decades when it came to software and that was just regular computer programs.

"I do have some work of my own" Fred "Those portals aren't going to figure themselves out".

We were both soon at work. She was going over the data I'd gathered in portals as I went back to looking over Cameron's code. I figured that tonight we'd be going through a lot of snacks and coffee so it was a good thing that I'd stocked up.

Vault 3. New Vegas.

"It wouldn't be that much work," I said.

I'd brought Veronica back to the Vault once she'd had some time to think about what she wanted to do with her life and as we'd talked she'd brought up how to improve things in New Vegas beyond my idea of targeting raiders gangs and giving away supplies.

Doing things as I'd planned would make things a bit better for the locals, but it wouldn't satisfy Veronica. She wanted to make a real difference here in the Mojave Wasteland and I could aid her in that without it being a lot of trouble.

I'd already decided that I was going to help satisfy her desire despite me not caring much about what happened to the people who lived in this world as I'd come here for its tech not to help its people.

"Seizing control over New Vegas, I mean" I clarified.

I'd already considered just waiting until the platinum chip was delivered to New Vegas and then taking over the Lucky 38. All I'd have to do is grab the robot called Yes Man and bring him into Mr House's casino.

I'd have to remove Mr House's link to the computer systems and while I could just kill the man it might be better to put him into a medically induced coma until I had the tech to fix him up.

That way he'd still be around if I wanted to leave the running of Vegas to someone else in the future. There was no sense fixing up Vegas only to let it fall apart once I'd decided to move on.

"How?" questioned Veronica.

Fred just listened as she didn't have much knowledge of what was going on in this world outside of the Vault and Cameron was doing the same.

"One of the gang leaders in Vegas is planning to overthrow Mr House and he's gotten his hands on a robot that can control the Lucky 38, and the security robots Mr House uses" I explained, "I can do the same and replace Mr House".

Taking over the Lucky 38 wouldn't be enough by itself.

"House has an entire army of robots that just need some programming upgrades" I informed the scribe.

I'd have to go to that fort that the Legion was camping on top of, but with my Portal Projector that wasn't much of a concern.

"With that army, we'd have enough firepower to keep the NCR from taking over the Mojave and if Caeser were killed his strongest followers would break up the Legion into gangs as they tried to take his place. They'd be easy to handle once divided. Heck, I could take out their main camp without them ever knowing I was going after them".

Cameron stepped forward.

"I can terminate this Caeser for you" she offered.

Or I'd just drop a bomb into their camp via a portal.

"Once the NCR backs off and the Legion is broken we can use the army to enforce order on Freeside and begin cleaning it up" I was now saying "With enough robots and some allies we can make Freeside safe, and then start to clean it up".

The Star Wars galaxy had droids that could help with the building work.

"If we can get the Followers of the Apocalypse and the gang called the Kings on board we'd have people we can put in charge of running Freeside for us" I went on to say "Then over time we could set up hospitals, schools, and so on".

Setting up some water purification wouldn't be hard and there was plenty of food synthesizer technology out there.

"Food, water and shelter would be the main concerns," I said to Veronica "When we have that we can work on setting up proper trade. Having a currency of our own would help. We can melt down gold for that easily enough as the Legion do it".

I'd never cared much for paper money and having an electronic currency wasn't a good idea when you lacked an educated workforce.

"Can you really do that?" asked Fred.

It wouldn't be as hard as they might think. The Mojave had the hoover dam for power, and New Vegas had buildings that could be repaired. It just needed someone who could enforce some order.

"The robots will make it work," I told the Texan "Vegas lacks an educated workforce who can create and support the infrastructure, but once the robots clear up Freeside you can start educating the population. That's why it will be important to track down people with skills that they can pass on".

Veronica was no doubt envisioning what Freeside could become if I backed her efforts.

"You'd have to run the whole thing," I said to the native woman "I can only do so much, but at least I can get you the robots you need. Once we've secured Vegas people will be drawn here. If you seek out the right people they can form some sort of city council and help you run things".

I gave it some further thought.

"We'd need to take over the Lucky 38 first and then pacify the gangs" I mused "We can use the casino as our base and set up some sort of centre of government elsewhere in the city".

Keeping the NCR sweet should be possible if I gift them some minor bits of technology. Nothing that would increase their military might, I just needed something to give to whoever was going to be the next President and let him or her use it to gain popular support.

It wouldn't hurt if I could install a shield large enough to protect the city from an airstrike in case the NCR had a few plans that could fly. I wouldn't need one on the scale the rebels used on Hoth since I wasn't preparing to withstand orbital bombardment.

"You're going to need to talk me through this step by step," said Veronica.

That would be a good idea and if I wrote all of this down I could refine the plan. Basically, I was going to go with Mr House's plan for an independent Vegas and then expand it from there.

"Sometime soon Mr House will get the means to upgrade the software of his robots," I told the Scribe as I began to write things down "There's no point making a move until he does so we'll need to hack into his system. After that, it's just a matter of waiting and making our move. We disable Mr House and take over the Lucky 38"

There was no point in planning in detail how to clean up Freeside before we had a robot army to pacify the place.

"We need to take out a few of the raider gangs, we can do that easily enough," I said, "We need to befriend the Boomers as well as we'll need the support of at least some of the other local factions and it wouldn't hurt to have some more firepower for keeping the NCR at bay".

I could tell that Winifred and Veronica were concerned about something.

"How are we going to pay for all of that?" asked the native of this universe "We'll have to pay people, create jobs, bribe some of the leaders".

That wasn't going to be a problem.

"We can raid a world I know about for gold, and gems," I said "Anything we need. You ladies can have all the diamonds you want. After all they are a girl's best friend".

If my memories of the game were correct Veronica had a taste for dresses. I could help her acquire a new wardrobe to help win her over.

"A girl's best friend is a 17 Round Glock 9mm Semi-Automatic" Cameron stated.

"To each their own," I said.

I'd pick up a Glock for Cameron the next time we went to the zombie world. For now, I needed to fine-tune the plan for taking over New Vegas so I could rule it. Not that I planned to actually run things myself, but rather I'd let others do the day-to-day work while I shaped the future of the Mojave Wasteland.

A stable Vegas could be a great centre of trade and people would come far away to exchange things here including technology that I wished to possess. I would also acquire more allies who may be of use to me.

Lucky 38 Casino. New Vegas.

In the end, I didn't bother waiting for the Courier to turn up at The Strip and to deal with Benny for me as there was no need to let events play out that way. What the Courier did with his or her life was no concern of mine and if he or she did turn up at this casino I would just pay them for their trouble and send them on their way.

I'd decided to deal with Benny myself since he had both the chip and the Yes Man robot. I'd simply opened a portal into his room, shot him, and then I'd left with the chip and with the Yes Man robot before any of his goons could get in the way. I doubt they'd even realise he was dead until the morning.

After that, I'd opened up another portal directly into Mr House's penthouse and since his robot guards didn't know what to do in this situation, and no one could blame their programmers for that, they'd simply stood around when Cameron and I appeared.

Once they'd begun to react it was too late as we'd been armed with ion weapons from the Star Wars galaxy that had been designed to disable droids. There had been droid rebellions in the past and so the arms manufacturers of that galaxy had developed very effective weapons against robots in case they rebelled again.

The clunky robots guarding Mr House were no match for Cameron and so I didn't have to do much other than take cover as the shooting started. My cyborg bodyguard could have handled this job on her own.

Once that had stopped I opened up another portal that allowed Yes Man, Fred and Veronica to enter this building. The whole operation went smoothly as it had been well planned and we'd had the element of surprise as well as the right tech for the job.

"Cameron, Mr House is downstairs there should be a hidden elevator somewhere around here," I said.

She found it in short order and I was able to open it up, saving her the effort of breaking down the wall. She was quite capable of doing that sort of thing, but there was no need for her to make such a mess when I could make use of the computers here.

"Go inject his life support system with this" I ordered.

I'd picked up a fair bit of knowledge on a large range of subjects since I'd started my new life and that included quite a bit on the subject of medicine. More than enough to put Mr House into a coma and keep him there thanks to his own life-support system.

"As you wish," said the cyborg.

Cameron had no issue following my commands and her dealing with Mr House left me free to install Yes Man into the Lucky 38 systems.

"There are suites on the upper levels," I told the two ladies with me "Feel free to go and claim one".

I would be staying here in the penthouse as it had the best view and from here I could control the entire operation. Veronica went off to check out the other floors as Fred went for a walk around the penthouse.

Meanwhile, I finished installing Yes Man. I was going to be spending quite a bit of time going over his code over the next few days as I didn't want the machine intelligence trying to take over. That was why I'd not yet installed the software upgrades on the chip I didn't want Yes Man going Skynet on us with access to so much firepower.

Once I was done I'd install the upgrades and then I would share control over the robot army with the others. Since Yes Man was programmed to help anyone who asked I would need to install some restrictions and safety features. I couldn't have people hacking the system or making their way to the penthouse in person and ordering Yes Man to do things.

As I worked Cameron came back and told me that she was going to make sure that we were secure. Since I'd recruited and reprogrammed here as a bodyguard I let her get on with her work. There was no need for me to manage her as long as I took the time to check her code so as to make sure she was going to start developing faults. She would also need routine work done on her hardware, but she could handle most of that herself.

It was going to take a while to go over all the code so I left things running on backups for now and decided to go take a break. Later I would install the upgrades and fix up the robots that we'd broken when taking over this casino. They would be an important part of the improved security system that I planned to set up.

There was a bedroom up here even though Mr House hadn't needed one in a long time. I found Fred waiting for me on the bed. She stood up as I entered the sleeping area.

"I've been waiting for you," she said.

It was clear what she had in mind, and there was no further need for words as we began kissing. After locking lips for a while, I placed some small kisses on her neck and collarbone.

Then I decided that it was time for me to see more of her. I'd not taken Winifred to bed yet as she'd needed time to recover from her ordeal and to settle into her new life. She'd decided that she'd had enough time. Now I was going to take what she was offering and claim her for myself.

Fred raised her arms and allowed me to take her top off. She only smiled at me as I removed the bra she had been wearing and tossed it to the ground. I could tell that she felt self-conscious about the size of her small breasts, but that didn't last long as I kissed and sucked on her sensitive nipples.

So far she seemed willing to go along with whatever I wanted and that was good. Yet I wanted more control over her. I desired her submission.

"Take your panties off" I commanded in a firm tone of voice.

She smiled at me. Looking pleased with the fact that I was taking control.

"Yes, sir," she said.

Obeying the order, Fred slowly removed the cotton undergarment and exposed her neatly trimmed pussy to my gaze. I stepped back to admire the view and made a mental note to have her shave off the little fuzz she had down there as I found a bare snatch to be much more attractive.

"You'll call me sir from now on," I told her.

Removing her little bush could wait because I wanted to fuck her right now. I pushed her down onto the bed and I pushed her legs apart. Once I was in position I rubbed the tip of my cock against Fred's pussy and that made her whimper in need.

"Sir, please," Fred begged.

I knew what she wanted and I liked that she desired it so much.

"Please what?" I asked.

Winifred bit her lower lip before talking.

"Please sir, I need you inside me" she admitted.

Slowly I fed all of my manhood into the tiny pussy that was on offer. It shouldn't have fitted given how small she was, yet somehow she took it all in and seemed very grateful to be so filled. She was also soaked between her legs.

I pulled out and plunged into the small brunette filling her up. I was soon feeling her legs wrap around my waist. It was as if she wanted to keep me inside her no matter what, even if it must hurt at least a little to have my cock inside her tiny cunt.

She didn't protest at all even as I began to fuck her roughly. She liked being used this way and Fred began to make all sorts of interesting noises as I plundered her small body.

As I sped up my pace and really began to fuck my assistant moaned louder than before and then she began shouting something and her cunt felt as if it was starting to clamp itself down around my member. I got to enjoy this for quite some time.

When her orgasm came she screamed loud enough that I felt sure that both Veronica and Cameron must have heard it. I was glad that my ears were not too close to her mouth or it would have hurt my hearing.

Even after that, I continued to pound away at Fred, letting her go limp even as I kept using her body for my pleasure. When I was done I sent what felt like a torrent of semen deep into Fred's womb. We'd not used any protection and that was something I'd have to discuss with the Texan before long or she would end up pregnant. If she then Winfred wouldn't be able to travel with me and help me take over Vegas as that would be too dangerous.

It could wait as all I wanted to do now was to collapse into bed next to the well-fucked woman and get some rest. It was only as I lay down that I realised that Cameron was looking at me.

"Were you watching us?" I asked.

The cyborg nodded.

"Yes," she confirmed.

Fred was too far gone to care if anyone else was here.

"Why?" I asked.

"Research" was all she said.

Cameron then walked away and I decided that I'd ask further about that later.

Weather Station. Legion Camp.

I'd come here with just Cameron as Fred was needed at the casino and Veronica was already at work trying to get things organised in Vegas by meeting with some local leaders. Vegas was a big place and there were many groups active within its limits.

While having our own robot army would just be the start of our plan to turn the city into a centre of civilization, it was still an important step so I'd come here to handle things personally and because there might be some tech worthy of salvaging.

After opening up a portal into the Weather Station we'd taken care of the guards and then secured the building. The gas grenades had acted fast in the enclosed area and the Legion warriors wouldn't ever be waking up. Their fellows would notice something wrong soon, but they couldn't break their way into the vault without the chip, so it didn't matter.

There was only one here console so quickly I found a slot similar to the one I'd seen in the penthouse of the Lucky 38. I took the Platinum Chip out of my coat pocket and then pressed it into the slot. There was a whirl and a clicking noise as it disappeared inside the machine.

A moment later, the ground rumbled, and a hatch in the floor opened up, revealing a staircase. The console clicked again and returned the Platinum Chip to me. I grabbed it and made sure that it was secure on my person.

I took firm hold of the ion weapon I'd purchased for dealing with the robots of this world and then I cautiously made my way down the stairs with Cameron leading the way. Before long I found myself looking at a rusted elevator door, which was emblazoned with the emblem of the Lucky 38 Casino.

"Yeah this is the right place," I said to my sexy Terminator.

It was just like the game. Not that everything was exactly the same, Veronica was a redhead for example and Vegas was much larger in reality, but the important stuff was as I remembered it being, at least so far.

The doors creaked open with a few shudders, kicking up some dust as they moved, and I cautiously stepped into the elevator once Cameron declared it secure. It didn't feel like it went down too far before the second pair of doors on the opposite side opened up.

I knew that there would be hostile robots down here, hence why I'd brought along an ion weapon I'd purchased during one of my visits to Hutt space. It had already proven effective against locally made robots.

Soon I found myself in a small room with a large monitor against one wall. The screen flickered showing Yes Man's face, and Fred's voice could be heard. The Yes Man was helping as well, but I preferred to have someone I trusted overseeing things.

"Sir, you need to manually upload the data from the Chip to the facility's primary computer," the clever woman told me "There's a terminal at the other end of the facility".

This shouldn't be a problem as clearly no one had been here for years and the robots of this world were no match for Cameron. The automated defences might be an issue even with our Star Wars personal shields so we would move carefully and I'd let Cameron take the lead.

"I'm not concerned," I said with a shrug "We have our ion weapons and shields".

That should be enough.

"Yes, well there's a complication," Fred told me.

Of course, there was. I didn't why I'd been thinking otherwise.

"What else is new?" I said to myself, before getting on with things "So what's this complication then?".

We had our own comms, but they didn't work if we got too far from the Lucky 38 and being underground didn't help. I would need to find a way to boost our comms as it wouldn't do to keep getting cut off from the casino.

"I can take control of this console, but I can't get to the facility's systems," she told me "That means I can't deactivate the security robots, and they'd active. To make things even better, there are some automated defences I can't shut down, not to mention a nasty radiation leak".

This wasn't news to me. I was more concerned with the radiation than the bots. My armour would protect me somewhat and I had a supply of Rad-X. I really should figure out how the drug works one day soon as it might sell well on other worlds as could some of the other medicines of this word.

"We'll handle it" I promised.

The connection closed and Fred went back to doing whatever it was she'd been doing before she contacted us.

"Okay let's get this army up and running," I said to Cameron.

Before long I ran into something.

"HALT. THIS IS A LAWFUL USE OF DEADLY FORCE," a mechanical voice called out, accompanied by a very recognisable series of clunking noises that told me a robot was heading this way "ALL NON-COMBATANTS, PLEASE: EXIT THE AREA IN AN ORDERLY FASHION"

Soon I saw a Protectron model security robot, and this let me relax just a little as they were notoriously slow, and stupid at least when compared to others models and above all else, they were horrible shots from what I'd read about them. Cameron blasted it with her ion weapon before the slow-moving robot could open fire.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I stepped over the broken robot, and quickly scanned the corridors for more bots. There were no more around, however, I felt certain that I'd run into more soon enough. This wasn't just due to having played the game I could feel that it was a certainty in my near future.

I found a room after destroying the bot. One wall was lined with a few lockers, and three RobCo computer terminals stuck out of the adjacent wall. In the corner was a pair of ammo boxes, and a weapon's locker.

Since we weren't in any sort of rush, I decided to check them and see if I could find anything useful. What I found was a plasma rifle that needed some repair work, two microfusion cells, a hammer, some scrap metal, a roll of duct tape, two plasma grenades, and an EMP grenade. I grabbed the grenades, the cells, and the rifle before deciding to try my luck with the terminals.

I was still studying the technology of this world and a plasma rifle would be interesting to take apart and the grenades would come in handy if we found ourselves facing the more dangerous robots that could be employed as security forces.

While the security bots couldn't be turned off, due to some errors that even I couldn't work around, however, was able to disable the turrets and open all the doors, which would save me a little time and effort.

With that done, I left the room and made my way down the adjacent hallway that led deeper into the facility with Cameron leading the way. If not for my helmet I imagined that I'd be breathing some foul air right now.

Beyond the hallway's exit was a large room and despite the dim light, I could just about make out the shapes of two Protectrons that were slowly clanking their way towards me, and firing their lasers wildly as they moved. This was foolish as doing so simply gave their positions away making it easy for us to blast them.

"Cameron, please remind me to come back here sometime and salvage what's left of these bots," I said to my Terminator.

Most of their internal systems would be useless due to the ion weapons, but they would still be recyclable and I would need plenty of raw materials in the future.

"Yes, sir" she replied.

Once inside a rather big room, I saw that the walls had windows which allowed me to look at the army of bots that would soon be mine to command. There were rows and rows of Securitrons lining the floor behind the glass.

There were easily several hundred of the things in there just waiting to be put to my purpose, perhaps more that I couldn't see. This was the army I so desired to control.

After dealing with a few more droids I found the right computer and put the Platinum Chip in the slot, then things got very noisy as the Yes Man took control with Fred's supervision. Through the windows I saw the Securitrons come online, their screens each now showing a soldier's face.

"We now have an army," I said to Cameron.

The console clicked again and spat out the Platinum Chip. I grabbed it and made sure that this location was locked down as I didn't want the Legion getting in and smashing things up. I would deal with those savages soon enough.

I had my army of robots, but they alone wouldn't be enough to keep the NCR at bay. For that, we'd need allies and a better-organised Vegas, so we all still had plenty of work to be getting on with.
