Sands of Change
Lady Countryrose
Ch. 24
At the guild, Mira was surrounded by magazines of everything to do with weddings. When the three girls had made their way into the guild. Only to see that Mira was alone, as she pulled her hair.
"Where is everyone," asked Levy.
Mira waved her hands about. "Gone! I sent Cana out to talk prices with the liquor store. Erza, with a bakery. Wendy, I love that girl, to the flower shop."
Lucy smiled, "At least you started somewhere. What about food?"
"Cobra, Natsu and Midnight are looking for something," answered Mira.
"Together," gasped Lucy with fear. "You might as well send them off to face an army!"
Mira wiped her head away from her notebook and looked worried. "Oh, dear!" Then ran off to call them. "Natsu!"
"Yes, Mira, we found Yajima, and he said he would do it!" They heard Natsu with an excited voice.
"Thank you, Natsu." Mire had sounded happy. "Maybe you guys should look into music, next."
"Cobra is already on that," replied Natsu with glee. "Midnight has some dresses in mind, but needs some models."
Mira turned towards the three girls with a scary gleeful look. "Oh, I have models. I'll just go and send them."
With a promise of torture if they don't go and come back. The three girls were told where to go. Only to be swung into dress, after dress. As Midnight told them what styles and makeups would work for each dress.
Lucy was fitted into an empire looking dress. That had diamond looking stones that kaskade her body. Highlighting her curves. Along with her hair in a loose French braid with hidden diamond clips in her hair. She looked like a movie star highlight actress.
Levy had a dress that made her look like a ballerina with shoes to match. Along with ribbon accessories for her arms and hair. With hints of stones on the skirt.
Hermione, on the other hand, looked whimsical. With a dress that looked layered and airy. Something between a ball gown and a ballerina liked dresses. Along with different size stones scattered across the dress. She had even had silver shoes to match the stitchings. Her hair would also be in a tight French braid with a small crown on her head.
Each of them were starting to picture their own weddings. They could even see themselves getting married in the dresses they were in. Then Midnight ordered them out of the dresses. Then told them to head back to the guild.
Mira smiled when they came back. "Did you have fun?"
Lucy smiled, "I did, but why are we being the models?"
Mira just smiled and handed them the magazines. Hermione gave her a harsh glare. She had been around Ginny Weasley to know a scheme when she saw one. Just not where it's going. That was something she didn't know.
She looked at a magazine, only to see something that was breathtaking, and showed it to everyone. In the picture it looked like one would think of swan lake, bathed in moonlight. Both Lucy and Levy had fallen in love with it.
Mira smiled wholeheartedly. "It is beautiful, but what would go with it?"
"Creamy yellow, sage and lavender," answered Hermione.
Lucy gasped, "I agree!"
"Same," smiled Levy.
Mira gave each girl a look. "What did the dresses look like?" After each of them had described the three different dresses. Mira smiled, "So, the empire dress would need a prince or old looking military noble garb. The ballerina dress could have a male version of it, with a military jacket."
Then she shook her head. "But the whimsical one?"
Hermione smirked after a thought came to her. "In swan lake, the wizard was in love with her. Couldn't that one have a wizard or warlock look with that one?"
Mira gasped, then grabbed her notepad and wrote everything down. "Oh, you three are loads of help!"
Levy asked, "What about the food?"
Lucy spoke up, "Well, seafood and chicken could go well. With white creamy sauces and light colored drinks." She laughed, "The prince did try to get a swan theme going for the ball."
Mira giggled even more as she wrote. "Yay, I had forgotten about that story. But I love these ideas. I will talk to the client who is throwing this! They are going to love this!" She jumped up and down with glee.
"Who is your client, Mira?" The three held the white-haired barmaid in place.
"I… didn't tell you," she blushed. Then waved her hand at them. "You will soon see." Then rushed back towards the kitchen. Only to hear her running down the basement stairs.
"I really want to know what's going on," stated Hermione. "She acts like she is matchmaking a wedding or something."
Lucy and Levy looked at each other with fear. Shaking their heads in disbelief. "She wouldn't," the two spoke as one. "Would she?" Making all three quiver.
Whatever she planned, they decided to stay at the guild. The three shared stories and asked questions with each other. Then had dinner, before spitting up for the night.
None noticed their men following from the shadows. Nor did Hermione or Lucy notice a two-story structure that was built that day.
