I lost my laptop charger so this chapter is unedited and was written on my phone. Either way this was a fun chapter and I can't wait for ya'll to read it! Hopefully the charger will be found soon as I pack for going back to campus.
Lucy frowned at Erik the moment he stepped into the guild with a smile on his handsome face. Once his dark eyes met hers his smile faded. Lucy still felt anger towards him over last night for putting her in that situation. She stood and quickly walked to him in fury. She was gonna kill him and she would leave him in a ditch until he woke back up.

"Hey Lucy." Her hand was moving before she even thought. The slap was so loud that everyone in the guild had heard it. Erik stumbled back from the force.

"I can't believe you! You put me in a situation that you knew would make me uncomfortable!"

Erik rubbed his cheek. "We are vampires Lucy! It is what we do!"

Her magic roared within her and Erik could sense it. He looked behind her at the guild members who too felt the magic power. Erza was the firs to step up, ready to intervene at a moments notice.

"You are coming with me."

Lucy didn't wait for an answer as she grabbed the back of his neck and dragged him outside with her. She led her away from the guild to ensure everyone was safe.

"I know what I am! You don't have to keep reminding me whenever you don't agree with my life decisions!"

Erik growled and stalked closer to her. "Face it, you are ashamed of being a vampire!"

"Of course I'm ashamed! I have done horrible things and I don't deserve being able to magically revive if I spontaneously die. I am ashamed of what I've done!" Lucy couldn't keep the tears from falling, her emotions were running wild and unchecked.

"Well maybe if you stopped feeling guilty you'd actually enjoy your eternal life!"

Lucy pointed her finger at him, "how could I enjoy life when every little mistake I made, especially with you I ended up with a dagger in my chest! Hell, I even helped you with your transformation and when Midnight found out about our feelings for each other he had you use that knife on me! Do you have any idea how that felt?"

Erik looked down. His shoulders dropped as if the weight of his guilt weighed him down. "I never wanted to do that! I had to or he'd kill us and turn us to ash."

"We could have left that day. I wanted to go and you talked me out of it. Why is it that every time we are near each other we implode. One of us ends up killing the other or using that fucking dagger. I hate you!"

Lucy shoved him with all her might but he didn't budge.

"I can't seem to stay away from you. God, I don't even know what to feel anymore. I- I can't believe I loved you."

Erik growled. "Oh that's fucking great. I came all this way for you to tell me you hate me?"

Lucy's lips pulled back and shoved her finger against Erik's chest. "Tell me Erik, why are you here?"

"You know why. I left the coven to be with you." Erik moved closer to her, making Lucy take a step back to do the one thing she did best. Look down her nose at people who were taller than her.

"I think you should leave." Her voice trembled.

Erik scoffed, "fine maybe I will. Don't come crawling back begging for me to come back." Erik went to turn to walk away only to stop dead in his tracks as he heard the sniffle. He turned to her, slow as he looked at her. "I-"

"Please don't. We will end up hurting each other anyways. We always do." Her voice was barely even a whisper.

Erik didn't dare move as he watched her, waiting to see any glimpse that she didn't mean it. "I know but, we always find our way back to each other. That has to mean something."

Someone had approached them from behind. "Are you this woman?"

Lucy spun around her body tense as she looked at the stranger now standing before them hold what looked to be a copy of an old photo. It was of Lucy dressed in an elegant vintage ball gown. Her breath hitched as she remembered exactly when and where that photo was taken.

"Where did you get that?"

She felt Erik come closer to her his back now pressed to hers. Another person had come around to block Erik's path. "Lucy, we should run."

"So, it is you. You will pay for your crimes."

The sound of an arrow caught Lucy off guard as an arrow went straight into Erik's leg. His cry of pain was what spurred her into action.

"Open, that gate of the Archer, Sagittarius!"

"She can do magic!"

One yelled from behind as Sagittarius shot the archer on the roof. Lucy ducked as a knife flew towards her face. It was a dance, whomever this hunter was he had enhanced speed but he smelled like a human.

Erik was tearing through another when his neck suddenly snapped making Lucy look over and in that split second. Something sharp penetrated her neck. She cried out as searing pain rushed through her. Her mouth was open in a silent scream.

"Lucy!" Sagittarius rippled away as he was sent back to the spirit realm.

The hunter leaned over her writhing body, "I hope you enjoy the ride, any form of death will result in a permanent one, if the poison won't kill you first. No coming back. I'll make sure to leave the one rule for when he wakes up." He set a card down next to her as another wave of pain rippled through her. He leaned over her the green eyes staring into hers as he pulled the ring she kept on her finger off. He pocketed it and looked up at the sky, "better hope the shade lasts otherwise you will be turned to ash. Leave him! He's not worth the jewels." Erik was still healing. He wouldn't revive for at least a couple minutes.

"How do you know she's gonna die?"

Lucy growled as he caressed her cheek. "She will."

Natsu was panicking. He had watched the fight an now thirty minutes later Lucy has yet to arrive. Natsu had gone from tapping his foot impatiently to pacing.

Gray shot Natsu an annoyed glare. "Flame brain, will you either sit down or just go look for them? You're annoying."

"It's just, why aren't they back yet?"

Maco huffed a laugh. "Maybe they are making up right now in her apartment."

Natsu blushed and turned away from them. He knew they were together just by their scents being intertwined and the scent of arousal whenever they were together at the guild giving side eyed glances. He tried to not let the jealousy bubble up. When he met Lucy he knew she wasn't in the right head space. How quickly she had given up waiting for that one final blow.

His sensitive hearing was the first to take notice of the blood curdling scream of pain. The next was the doors slamming open. Erik was carrying Lucy and every step looked like it hurt.

"I don't know what to do!" Erik stumbled and Natsu rushes to them, catching Lucy before she hit the ground.

"What happened? What did you do?" Natsu was snarling then. The instinct to protect.

"Please kill me." Lucy was crying then her body being pushed to the limits from whatever happened.

Erik brushed her hair from her sweaty face. "I can't. They injected something in you and we don't know what it's going to do."

Natsu met Eriks eyes. Desperation. "Is anyone a healer?"

"I can help!" Wendy rushed over her hands flinging out as she used her magic. "This isn't good. I-I can't use magic to get rid of it but I can help with the pain. We need someone good with herbs. We need Porlyusica."

Erik sighed through his nose. "Where is she?"

"In the woods, just outside of Magnolia. Jet can take you there."

Levy said. Jet looked like he wanted to murder Levy for just offering.

He grumbled. "Let's go. We can be back in a couple of minutes if we run the entire time."

Erik raised a brow and looked Jet over, the man was skinny and didn't look like he could keep up with a vampire. "I can keep up."

Natsu stiffened as Erik brushed a hand on her forehead. "I'm sorry for our fight."

He went to leave but she grabbed his hand in a death grip. "I forgive you. I'm sorry for what I said." Erik didn't say anything as he turned to leave, Lucy's scream of pain echoing in the guild.

Natsu gripped her hand as she squeezed, his bones groaning in agony. Lucy clenched her teeth, "I'm going to rip their fucking throats out. This hurts like hell!"

Natsu tried to hide the tug of his lips, "I will gladly help you."

Her brown eyes met his, "I don't want you to see me like that." She grunted as another wave of pain wracked her body.

"Like that one conversation, we are both monsters. Let's get you in the infirmary."

Lucy closed her eyes at the memory, the loneliness disappeared that night. That alienation she felt even when she was part of the coven. Another wave of pain as the poison, whatever it was moved through her body that was trying to heal but couldn't. When she opened them she was laying in the infirmary bed.

Natsu only held on to that hand that was now crushing bone. Mira was there a second later dabbing a damp towel on Lucy's brow.

"They will be back soon, Lucy." Lucy closed her eyes as the blue light from Wendy's hands enveloped her body. He had to force himself to listen close to her heart beat slow as if it was barely there.

Natsu had felt it then, the draw to her. The desire to keep her breathing, at least she did breathe and had explained she could drown if she was submerged underwater. Natsu didn't quite understand how vampires worked in the whole death and revival. But it didn't matter to him what she was. They both were to suffer eternity until something killed them. She had made him feel like he wasn't alone except with Erik now in her life again that loneliness kept creeping back.

Natsu watched as Mira dabbed the rag on Lucy's sweaty forehead. His heart sputtered as he noticed a trail of blood slipping down her face from her nose.

"What's happening?" He was panicking now as that blood kept coming.

Wendy's brows drew together. "I think she's dying. They need to hurry, I can't keep the poison at bay."

Lucy gripped Natsu's hand as he felt the surge of magic power fill the room. "Natsu, I can't keep it under control. Take my keys and put them far away from me~ ahh!" Natsu's hands shook as he quickly unhooked her keys handing them to Mira.

"I'll put them in a magic nullifying box."

Her keys shimmered even though she wasn't touching them. Powerful, she was powerful. Probably was powerful before she was turned, maybe she wasn't fully human before she was turned. he had to calm her down otherwise she could level the guild, no, level the continent and not leave a trace. "Hey, Luce, tell me about your spirits."

Her brown eyes full of pain met his. He could have sworn he saw a trace of a smile as she spoke. Lips trembling as she spoke and gasped between each word. "Aquarius, she was gifted to me by mother. She was my first zodiac spirit. I know she can be an ass but I know she cares." Her eyes closed and she hissed out a breath.

"Keep talking." Natsu squeezed her hand, grounding her.

"Okay, um, Aquarius is more than just an asshole. She's one of those assholes that will kill you just because. She never listens to me and always puts me in the crossfire. Total dick move if you ask me."

Natsu snorted, "definitely a dick move. Did you fight with Erik?"

Her eyes seemed to flash into those dark orbs. "I told him to leave. We yelled at each other. I- we said some nasty things but we've said them before. We always end up hurting each other. I just don't want the guild to be dragged into it."

"Are your breakups that bad?"

Lucy gave him a strained smile. "They are catastrophic."

The infirmary doors were shoved open, Porlyusica, Natsu was terrified of her but all he felt was relief as she walked over to him and Lucy.

"You should have gotten me sooner." She said as she placed her hand on Lucy's forehead.

Natsu snarled, "Can you help her?"

"I can try. Now, move aside so I can work." Natsu went to snap back but the hand he held squeezed.

"It's okay. I've lived and laughed for centuries. I'm just happy to have been part of something good for once. I'll be fine, Natsu."

Natsu watched as the door closed and he was left standing with Erik who wasn't the best company to have. The minutes felt like hours and the hours felt like days. Natsu and Erik sat by the infirmary in complete silence. Neither, wanted to even look at each other.

"I-I'm sorry for treating you like shit." Erik finally said.

Natsu looked over at him in shock, "what?"

"I'm sorry for treating you like shit. I'm jealous actually."

"Your jealous of me, why?"

Erik looked down at his hands, purple smoke or what looked to be smoke wrapped around his hands like a snake. "You get to just be a dragon slayer. I on the other hand will always be seen as a vampire. I didn't want to be this but I was dying. I hate the fact that I fit in the mold of a vampire than a dragon slayer. I also hate the way she looks at you."

Natsu was stunned barely able to think over the words echoing through his head. "You're a dragon slayer?"

Erik nodded, "I am or I guess I was."

"You still are a dragon slayer but you are also a vampire. You can't just pick and choose what part of you to accept."

Erik smirked. "Funny, that's what Lucy said."

The door opened and both men stood up. Porlyusica clicked her tongue. "Before you ask, she'll be fine. I gave her a tonic to suppress her magic until she is fully healed. She is resting and will need fresh blood for a week to help her heal."

"Human or animal?" Natsu asked, he was dreading the answer.

"I don't care what she chooses. Now, I'm going home."

Natsu went to go in but stopped himself, "you can go. I'll see her in a bit."

Erik studied him and gave a curt nod and clicked the door behind him.

Lucy rolled away from Erik the moment she caught his scent in the room. She couldn't look at him, not with what she was about to do. Lucy was tired of the constant pain they seemed to cause each other.

"You're going to be okay."

Lucy closed her eyes, "I know." She would back the tears that threatened to fall. She slowly sat up, her tattoo, one that Erik always seemed to trace with his fingers. The angle wings that held so much power that even Midnight didn't know about.

"I am sorry for what I said to you."

Lucy shook her head, "please don't. We can't keep doing this to each other. You should leave."

"Is that why you are refusing to look at me?" His voice was soft and laced with pain.

"Please leave. Find your own way and please stop finding me."

"Lucy-"

Lucy turned her lips twisted into a snarl, baring her teeth. "Leave! I'm done and want nothing to do with you anymore!"

She knew the words hurt especially when he flinched back. He didn't even say anything to her as he turned and left the room. Her heart shattered as she looked at the closed door. Lucy laid back down as she cried.

She didn't know when Natsu had entered or when he had held her in his arms as she cried a century's worth of pain. The pain she had refused to even acknowledge in those years of running. Natsu, gods bless him just held her as she became a blubbering mess and whispered soothing words to her.
