Harry and Ginny walked hand-in-hand through the streets of Hogsmeade. They had thick sweaters around their shoulders. They were wearing long-sleeved sweatshirts with the Gryffindor Quidditch team insignia emblazoned on the front and caps covering their ears. It was snowing heavily, and there was a slight chill in the air, which made both of them agree on an early lunch at The Three Broomsticks with their friends.

But they made a point of wearing only one glove. Harry to the right and Ginny to the left.

Many shops had Valentine's Day offers, even though it wasn't Valentine's Day, which was in the middle of last week, so they decided they could do more than just window shopping this time.

They first went into Honeydukes, where Harry bought liquorice wands, for Ron and himself and Honeydukes' best for Ginny, which he knew she would refuse after he gave her a charm bracelet on Valentine's Day, celebrating their first Valentine's Day together as a couple. He tried convincing her that the handmade soaps and shampoo she gave him were far more personal than the bracelet, but she wouldn't give in.

They ended up eating it on a bench near the Shrieking Shack, talking about the DA.

Ginny got some sugar quills for herself, treacle fudge for Harry, and some toffees for her father. They immediately dipped into the Owl Post Office to make the delivery, where Harry was certain that more than a couple of eyes were on them, and Ginny urged him not to scowl at the personnel wearing the insignia of the Minister for Magic's Office. But in Harry's humble opinion, she wasn't any better.

Scrivenshaft's was next, though they didn't stay there long. The Sporting store held their attention longer. They drooled over the latest edition of the Firebolt, the Firebolt 200, said to reach speeds of up to two hundred miles per hour and with higher resistance to winds.

Now, they were walking aimlessly, waving to faces they recognized from the DA, exchanging kisses between words, and generally having an enjoyable Umbridge-free afternoon when Harry's mirror buzzed. They stepped into the nearest alleyway to answer it.

Lily's face appeared in the mirror, smiling brightly, and they smiled back. James seemed to be in a heated discussion with Marlene about the Quidditch League and why Pride of Portree was going to make the semi-finals instead of the Wasps, based on what they could hear anyway. Harry basked in the familiarity of it.

"Having fun?" She asked.

They nodded their heads enthusiastically, flushed cheeks and all.

"It's going to be the Wasps, mate," came Sirius' voice.

"Padfoot, you're supposed to be on my side!"

"Sorry to interrupt your date, but your dad and I had a few ideas," Lily pulled their attention back to her.

"For what?" He asked.

"For the DA."

"Oh. That's great, Mrs. Potter. Harry had us working on shield charms for the past two months," she said lightly.

"Hey! Shield charms are important!" Harry defended himself, laughing.

"Of course, they are, sweetheart. You know, that's what your grandfather always said," she recounted sadly.

"Sirius told me."

"Of course," Lily said, a bit downcast.

"Mum, it's not your fault," Harry said soothingly.

She shook her head before saying, "I'm fine. Really," she added when Harry and Ginny looked like they didn't believe her.

"As I was saying," she continued, James now waving to them. "Dad and I wanted to meet you to talk about it."

Harry grew uncomfortable. They shouldn't be about, especially with Umbridge keeping an even closer eye on him. It would only raise suspicion.

Ginny rubbed his arm and asked, "Where? You guys advised us against the Hog's Head."

"We were thinking of The Three Broomsticks."

"But that isn't private, is it?" Harry asked, nose scrunched up in thought. Just like Lily's, James thought fondly.

"Rosemerta lends out the rooms above. It's just like a hotel," James explained.

"Ok, then. When?"

Lily and James just smirked. "Now. We're already here."
