Scooby-D
—
Sung to the tune of The Beach Boys' "Sloop John B"
Mystery Inc. has a dog named Scooby-D
His owner is named Shaggy
Various towns and cities they always do roam
Solving mysteries all day and night
And if Scooby catches the frights
A Scooby Snack can cheer him up
And then they can go home
So Scooby, don't you turn pale
Just relax and cool your jets
It's true that mysteries can be a chore
Then you can go home, then you can go home
It's true that mysteries can be a chore, yeah yeah
Just keep a stiff upper lip up
And then you can go home
Scooby often gets the blue funk
But he sure does have some spunk
When the constable comes and takes all those villains away
True Scooby doesn't have backbone
The bad guys can't leave him alone, yeah yeah
But Scooby and the gang always them send them back home
So Scooby, don't you turn pale
Just relax and cool your jets
It's true that mysteries can be a chore
Then you can go home, then you can go home
True mysteries can be a chore, true mysteries can be a chore
Then you can go home
(So Scooby, don't you turn pale)
Fight the good fight, Scooby-D
It's true that mysteries can be a chore
Then you can go home
The unmasked villains always have quite a fit
And they hate those "Meddling Kids"
And they said that the kids were quite a thorn and didn't want to be forsworn
They wanted them to go home
Why didn't the kids and Scooby just go home?
The villains were no match for Mystery Inc's. brain and brawn
So Scooby, don't you turn pale
Just relax and cool your jets
It's true that mysteries can be a chore
Then you can go home, then you can go home
It's true that mysteries can be a chore, true mysteries can be a chore
Then you can go home
Author's Notes:
* As with everything else I am a HUGE Scooby-Doo fan. Though I won't deny, there ARE times when the franchise feel repetitive and get dull at times, that said, it's still a great cartoon franchise and I love it.
* Scooby-Doo and the gang are owned and © by both Warner Brothers and and Hanna-Barbera, so I own nothing in this song parody, except the words I wrote.
* I also do NOT own the rights to any of the music/songs/original lyrics that I parody in my story, they are all owned and © by the artists who originally recorded them.
That said, until my next song parody, I'm M. R. Parkerson here to say to all of you out there:
"Enjoy this song parody, fill free to singalong and I can't wait share my next song parody with you all!" :)
