Well, my brain said "I am the captain now." And I have no idea what I'm going to do with this. Right now I have 17 chapters written. We'll see. No beta, we die like men.
p.s the song Amity sings is "Mz. Hyde by Halestorm"
After making sure King wasn't going to rise another army the girls walked out of the house. Amity smirked and she feinted a punch towards Hooty as she walked out. The house demon yelped as he buried his head in the ground.
Luz smacked Amity behind the head. "Don't be a jerk Am."
Amity rubbed her head before she reached over and grabbed the front the stupid beanie and pulled it over Luz's stupid face.
"Hey!" A muffled yell came from the latina. Out of spite she blindly reached out and shoved the punk as hard as she could.
Amity grunted as she was pushed backwards. She flailed and landed on the hood of her car. She scrambled, sliding across the smooth metal.
"Bitch!" She hissed as she banged her elbow on the hood ornament before spilling onto the ground.
Luz fixed her beanie and peered at the green-haired witch on the ground and snickered. "Luzer."
Amity growled as she grabbed the edge of the car and pulled herself off the ground. Dust clinging to her black clothes. She grumbled as she dusted herself off.
Luz strode to the passenger side of the car. "Maybe if you didn't wear clothes that matched the color of your soul you wouldn't have to worry about getting dirty."
"Shut up or you're walking.
Luz chuckled before opening the door and sat down on the soft leather. "Noted."
Amity flung open the door and took her seat behind the wheel. She roughly shoved the keys into ignition, the car purred to life. The witch threw it into reverse and pulled away from the house.
The drive to town was quiet. Luz never got over how beautiful the isles where. She gazed outside the window watching the trees whip by.
Amity was half paying attention to the road. She peered out of the corner of her eye at the latina. The glow of the sun made her almost angelic. She cracked a small smile and turned her focus back on the road.
The punk pulled into a spot near the market. The two got out and roamed the various stands. Luz ran into Eda and explained that she would be out with Amity all day. The human's mentor nodded and cast a knowing look towards Amity before getting distracted and leaving.
Amity got the eggs and snacks for themselves. She roughly shoved the bag of snacks into Luz's arms before dragging her back towards the car.
The afternoon turned to evening, the sky filled with orange hues and bright pinks. With their precious cargo loaded up, Amity drove towards Boscha's house, the road long and winding.
The girls didn't mind the trip. The ride was filled with laughs, jokes and insults. Their hair messy from the wind that came in from the rolled down windows. The music blasted through the speakers.
In the daylight, Im your sweet heart.
You're goody-two shoes, prude is a work of art.
But you don't know me and soon you won't forget
Bad as can be, yeah you know i'm not so innocent!
A female voice sang. Amity threatened to shave one of Luz's eyebrows if she changed the song. Luz rolled her eyes and placed the song on repeat, not wanting to take any chances.
Luz gazed at the punk, gold eyes shone brighter than she had ever seen. Fanged smiles became a reoccurring thing. Luz smiled wholeheartedly when Amity sang along to the song that shook the whole car.
I can be the bitch, I can play the whore.
Or your fairytale princess who could ask for more.
A touch of wicked, a pinch of risk-ay
A good girl gone bad, my poison is your remedy.
Better be scared, better be afraid
Now that the beast is out of her cage!
Luz felt her heart flutter hearing Amity's singing voice. It was gravelly and sexy. The human shook her head trying to keep her thoughts platonic.
"You don't you sing more often?" She asked.
Amity reached over and turned the music down so they weren't shouting at each other. "Even if I wanted too, I'm certain my mother-" She spat. "-would probably make me sing something like Opera."
She slowed as she pulled off the road and into a small group of housings. Luz chuckled. "Well, if your singer career doesn't take off. You can always use your voice to scare off all the creatures. I swear, i have not seen a single demon or monster ever since you opened your mouth."
Amity eyed Luz's smug smile with an unamused expression. The punk drummed her fingers on the steering wheel before smirking and stomped on the brakes.
Luz flew out of seat and slammed into the windshield hard. Her head making a loud THUD noise.
"Shit!" She cursed. She plopped back into her seat cradling her head
Amity laughed, showing off her sharp canines. "See that stupid beanie didn't protect whatever brains you have left."
Luz groaned as she used a hand to flip off the snickering punk.
"Come one Luzer let's get this over with." The witch slapped the offending hand away and got out of the car. Grumbling Luz grabbed the eggs that somehow didn't break after Luz suffered a concussion. She got out of the car and slammed the door out of spite.
Amity rolled her eyes and started walking up the driveway, Luz following close behind. The lights were off and the house was quiet.
"Ugh Boscha probably took that bimbo out on a date or something." The punk scoffed. Luz stuck a hand in the bag and took out a carton of eggs.
"Well, send your ex a message with these. Would you like to do the honors Miss Blight?"
The punk smirked before grabbing the carton. Their fingers brushing briefly. "Why yes I would love to Miss Noceda."
Amity grabbed an egg and took aim at an open window, she cocked her arm back and let it fly.
