Title: Doubtful
Serena x Darien
Rated: M
Romance/Drama/Slight Angst
Summary: No longer able to transform into Sailor Moon, and feeling unwanted by her prince Serena decides to confront him.

Serena walked along the sidewalk late Friday afternoon idly swerving around people as she found herself once again lost in thought.

They had been faced with their new enemy, these daimon's, and ever since they had shown up things seemed to have gone downhill for her. The first fight with them had broken her brooch so she could no longer transform. It had been a few weeks since that had happened and she had missed five fights, and there was no telling how many more she would miss.

As a result she had slowly started to become distant with everyone. At first it was simply because she couldn't fight with them and so they would have to leave her alone while they went off to fight, and then it was because she was getting lost in her thoughts and feelings.

She spent a lot of time wandering around after school, like she currently was, and sitting in parks among the grass and the quiet pieces of nature.

At the moment she was thinking about how much she was getting a feel for what life would have been like if she had never became Sailor Moon and was just the Moon Princess. Although, if that had truly happened she wouldn't be feeling as she was, because she would never have known what it was like to be a scout.

But I do know. She told herself, and that fact made her sad that she couldn't help out as she was used to doing.

It also left her thinking that she wouldn't be able to be Sailor Moon again. She had gotten a new brooch the last time something similar happened, but that was instantly while they were still fighting the same droid.

It had been weeks now, just over a month, and she was beginning to doubt it would happen.

What would she do if she couldn't be a scout anymore? Could she resign herself to just being the princess the other Scouts protected and go back to her normal life? Pretend nothing was happening when the girls left her suddenly to go fight?

Can I do that? She asked herself, but she had no answer to give.

On top of worrying about that she was spending a lot of time thinking about Darien. Her prince couldn't go to the fights either since his presence relied on her transforming and going there; unless he happened to come across a fight in progress.

She wondered how he felt about that. Did he not like being left out of the fighting as well? Did he miss the action; miss knowing that he was doing something positive with his powers? Or did he like the pause, the break, in fighting?

Serena wished she could ask him. Technically she could but she didn't feel like she could, which brought her mind to the fact that she had been thinking a lot about their relationship.

She was content, but she wasn't happy like she thought she should be. She loved being with him, but for some time now she felt like he was treating her as a friend and not his girlfriend.

He barely kissed her and when he did it was a simple peck on the lips, but more often than not it was on the cheek. He didn't hold her hand or even hold her; he only hugged her occasionally, and briefly at that. As if he didn't want to touch her for too long.

She didn't know what was wrong. Why was he not treating her like his girlfriend; like his princess? Why would he not touch her like she was his princess? Like she was his?

There were times when she wanted to kiss him until her jaw hurt, and even then to keep going despite the pain. Well, more like all the time and not just times. She wanted to feel his hands on her, moving over her, making her feel ultra-feminine and desired.

Serena sighed as she made it to a park and looked for a place to sit. She needed to be honest with herself. She wanted to feel pleasure. That was what was missing in their relationship besides the simple intimacies. She desired her prince and was dreaming, and sometimes daydreaming, about him and the things he could make her feel, but she couldn't get that pleasure in her waking reality.

Was it her age that was stopping him? She couldn't deny that fifteen was younger than his nineteen years, but she didn't have a problem with that. Why should he if he actually did?

Did her prince no longer want to be with her? He had broken up with her before, but that had been explained away. His dreams had been manipulated and his fear for her safety had been higher then what he thought was his selfish want to be with her.

Is he regretting getting back together with me? Serena thought as she sighed sadly.

She hated that she was doubting him, but his actions were speaking very loud to her. And she could no longer, and was unwilling to, ignore the volume.

I'm going to handle this like the princess I am, and actually speak to my prince. She decided firmly. Is this, behaving like a princess, part of why I have been feeling and thinking the way I have been recently? She wondered.

She had been feeling more and more like Serenity and less and less like Serena as time passed. There was no way she could deny it; not that she actually wanted to.

She was still outgoing and bubbly Serena, but she was feeling more sophisticated and refined. It was like whereas before the memories of her past self had come and settled now the maturity and royal baring of her past self was beginning to settle.

All of this was something she had been hiding from everyone and keeping to herself. Most of it was private and the rest was just something she didn't want to talk about.

What was and wasn't happening between her and Darien was no one's business. She had learned that from their breakup during the Black Moon debacle. It just stirred up emotions and created problems that they didn't need. She knew the girls meant well, but it had been difficult for her to cope with their looks and comments.

And her feeling more like her past self, likely becoming her past self, was something she would likely only tell Darien about, but with the way things were between them she actually didn't feel comfortable with telling him. Not with feeling like he didn't want her.

Serena sighed heavily from where she sat in the grass. It was growing dark and she knew she needed to start heading home.

She looked up and immediately spotted the Moon in the darkening sky, and decided she needed to prepare for her planned talk with Darien. And she would do it by doing something she had been feeling the urge to do since she began to feel more like her past self.

She would restore the remains of her kingdom.

It was Friday so she had the entire weekend to get it done and talk to Darien. Or she could speak to him on Monday.

I'll think about it since I may need more time. She told herself as she got to her feet.

Serena lay on her bed in the dark with her eyes closed as the house quieted around her. It had only been a couple of hours since she had been home and her arrival had gone as usual.

She walked in and waved to her parents, who were in the living room as a greeting, and went to her room to change out of her school uniform and into some comfortable pajamas. After that dinner came as it always did and she quietly ate with her family before bidding them goodnight and going to her room.

Now she was simply waiting to be sure her family was asleep before she headed to the Moon. She had spent this quiet time thinking of exactly how she was going to go about restoring her kingdom and how much she wanted or even could do during the time she would be there. Because she didn't know how long she was going to be there, which was why she was going during the night.

Although, she would be going back tomorrow to continue the restoration, and she would be sure to take her time. She had no plans, and no worries. She could stay there as long as she wanted. She may have been born on the Earth in this lifetime, but that was no longer an issue.

That had changed the moment she transformed into Sailor Moon, and further when she got her silver crystal and began using it. She knew instinctively that her body's makeup was back to what it was when she was born on the Moon.

She had no idea if the girls knew about that change in themselves and she didn't particularly care. Perhaps Amy was aware since she was always analyzing something or even Mina since she could pick up on subtle things like that. Either way she was not going to inform them. They likely wouldn't believe her since most of them didn't think she was observant enough or smart enough to notice such a thing.

She opened her eyes and looked at the time, and seeing that it was almost one in the morning she sat up and began to get to her feet. It was time for her to go, and thankfully her leaving would be made all the easier by the fact that Luna wasn't there.

The feline was staying with Mina so she could spend time with Artemis. She had been there for over a week now, and Serena was glad since that meant she hadn't been there to question her silences or staying out late in the evening.

Now, however, it meant she wasn't here to question where she was going and report on her to the girls.

Serena stood up and focused inward. She pictured her old home the way she remembered it and then the way she had last seen it as ruins.

Please bring me to the Moon; take me home. She softly asked her silver crystal as she closed her eyes.

She felt a gentle pulse within her and in the next moment her body was glowing a soft white. Another moment passed and she disappeared from her room in a brief bright flash of white light only to reappear in the same fashion on the surface of the Moon.

She opened her eyes and sighed at the sight before her. Gray broken pillars, crumbled walls, cracked pathways, and damaged and crumbled structures were all that was left of her once great home.

As she walked around she spotted broken fountains that no longer had water flowing through them, high collapsed sections of walkways that she remembered were once bridges, missing doors and doorways in general, and more; so very much more that needed to be repaired, replaced, and actually built.

Serena sighed again as she realized she had a long task ahead of her.

But that's alright since I have a great deal to think about. She thought as she began to make her way back to where she had initially arrived.

She decided to start with the wide front walkway leading up to her palace home, and the large shallow rectangular pools of water stretched along the sides of the walkway. Once she arrived she summoned her crystal and held it suspended between the palms of her hands.

With the image of how it had looked so long ago in the past she willed her crystal to restore it to its former glory down to the last detail.

Her crystal pulsed and glowed and white light poured out, and spread as it bathed the entire area to the point where she was unable to see it any longer. When the light cleared long minutes later she opened her eyes, and smiled to see that the wide front walkway had returned and looked just the way she remembered.

She walked around to take a closer look and be absolutely sure nothing was out of place. Once she was sure she began to contemplate what to restore next since her energy levels had barely been touched with what had been done already.

Hmm...the grand stairway leading up to the palace, and the ground floor I think. She told herself with a slight nod, deeming that enough for the night.

Tuesday morning arrived and Serena turned her alarm off with a quiet sigh and relaxed back onto her bed. Today was the day she was going to speak to Darien and get her answers. She didn't know when she was going to do it; likely sometime in the evening to make sure he was home.

Still, she had decided in that moment that she wasn't going to go to school that day regardless of when exactly she decided to speak to him. She wouldn't be able to focus on the lectures and seeing Amy and Lita in class would have her mind going in a direction she didn't want.

Although she thought it was possible that they may become worried if they weren't already at not seeing her. She hadn't seen or spoken to any of the girls all weekend, and had skipped school the day before to finish restoring her kingdom. She had even ignored the occasional call that came through on her communicator, and hadn't been home for the occasional phone call she had learned about when she returned in the evenings just before dinner.

It went without saying that she also hadn't seen or spoken to Darien in all that time.

She sat up before she calmly got out of bed. She looked for something casual and comfortable to wear and then headed out of her room to take a shower. When she finished she dried off and dressed then returned to her room where she set about putting her pajamas away. After that she made her bed and sat at her vanity table and began to brush her hair.

Once her hair was up in its usual style she returned to the bathroom and brushed her teeth then went and put her shoes on and left the house without seeing anyone. There was no need for her parents to know she wasn't going to school after all.

Serena walked calmly down the sidewalk until she reached a place she couldn't be seen by windows and paused as she focused on her silver crystal.

Please take me to the Moon. She asked softly, and felt a gentle pulse in response before she was surrounded in a soft white light.

In the next moment she was gone from the sidewalk as if she had never been there.

Amy and Lita walked up the stairs to Raye's temple home after school ready to relax with their friends. As she walked Amy couldn't help thinking about Serena yet again. They hadn't seen her at school, and she was becoming slightly concerned.

The last time she had actually seen Serena was Friday at school, which was also the last time she had spoken to her.

The two young women walked around the temple and toward the house where they greeted Raye's grandfather and were let inside. They made their way to the room they usually gathered in and found they were the last to arrive.

As Amy sat down at the long table and put her school bag down she pulled out her communicator and pressed the Moon button to contact Serena.

"What are you doing?" Raye asked curiously as she watched her, drawing the attention of the others.

"I'm contacting Serena. I just want to make sure she's okay real quick since she wasn't at school today or yesterday." Amy said.

The other three young women nodded and they all waited, but Serena didn't answer as first a minute then two passed.

"Maybe she's not in a position to answer her communicator." Raye suggested. "I'll call her house." She said as she got up and headed for the phone off in the corner of the room. She picked up the receiver and dialed Serena's number that she had long since memorized.

"Hello, Tsukino residence." A mature feminine voice answered.

"Hi. This is Raye. I wondered if I can speak with Serena." Raye said, recognizing the voice of Serena's mother.

"Oh I'm sorry. She's not home from school yet, and I don't expect her anytime soon." Mrs. Tsukino said.

"Does she have plans?" Raye asked curiously. Is that why she didn't answer. She wondered.

"Not that I know of." Mrs. Tsukino replied. "It's only that Serena has been coming in not long before dinner every day."

"Oh okay. Thank you Mrs. Tsukino." Raye said before she said her goodbyes and ended the call. Then she moved back toward the table and informed the others of what she had learned.

"Her mother believes she went to school, but Serena didn't go to school." Mina said as she frowned.

"Or she didn't make it there." Lita countered with a frown of her own.

Do her parents also think she went to school yesterday? Mina wondered before she addressed Lita.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves." She said. "Before thinking in that direction we should see if her uniform is in her room, because she might not have wanted to go to school today or yesterday for all we know but her family might not know that." She added, but frowned again as she let her mind go in the direction Lita spoke of.

If Serena hadn't made it to school it meant she was in danger. It meant their princess was in danger, and they hadn't known.

Mina realized abruptly in that moment that they had been drifting away from her a bit since she could no longer transform into Sailor Moon. That was wrong of them. If anything they should have been keeping closer to her because of that.

It seems we've forgotten that we're her guardians first and foremost before we are protectors of the city. She thought solemnly.

"Maybe she's with Darien." Raye said as she looked around to the others, and they considered that and thought it was the most likely option. Better than that she was in danger and they hadn't known.

"I'll call to make sure." She said as she got up and headed to the phone a second time.

She dialed his number and listened to it ring before she got the answering machine. She decided to leave a message asking if Serena was with him, and informing him that she hadn't been to school the last two days. She added that Serena wasn't answering her communicator, and her mother believed she had gone to school and simply wasn't home yet.

Raye got off the phone after she left the message and informed the others that she had done so as she sat back down.

They wondered what to do before Amy suggested that they have Luna or Artemis go to Serena's house to see if her uniform was there and if she had shown up yet. They would be subtle so her family wouldn't suspect anything.

Mina, Raye, and Lita thought that was a good idea, so they went about contacting the felines to make them aware of what was happening and what they wanted them to do.

Darien opened the door to his apartment, his keys jingling as he pulled them from the lock, and closed the door behind him. He tossed his keys on the side table and stepped further into his apartment as he flicked on the light with a sigh.

He glanced out his balcony at the early evening sky, seeing that it was just darkening from the last time he had looked. He'd just come from studying for hours at his campus library and was mentally tired as far as education was concerned. He didn't want to touch another book until tomorrow.

Seeing the light flashing on his phone he pressed the button to see who had left him a message as he put his books down. Pulling off his jacket he slowed as he listened to Raye's voice and heard the undertone of worry that she was clearly trying to hide.

As her voice stopped he frowned, tossing his jacket onto the closest chair, and realized it had been days since he had seen or spoken to Serena; nearly a week in fact even if some of the days were on a weekend.

Darien sighed heavily as he sat down on his couch. He hadn't exactly been avoiding her, but he hadn't sought her out either. He'd looked at the time he didn't spend with her as a relief, as bad as that sounded, with how he had been feeling in recent weeks.

He had been feeling possessive and wanting to be dominant with her, and he knew it all was a result of feeling more like his past self; like Endymion, and less like Darien.

He really had felt that way in the past though he'd been quiet about it as the dignified prince he was. And he had made sure she understood his feelings and actions, so his Serenity had been fully understanding and accepting of it.

Darien had also been feeling passion and desire for Serena, which was also something he had felt in the past as Endymion. Only in the past he didn't have to hold back. Once their relationship was firmly established and their feelings were solid, he had been able to have his princess whenever they could manage to find the privacy and time.

Now those same feelings were a major source of pain because he was denying himself what he wanted for fear of scaring or hurting her. But all the while he was existing in a constant state of desire, of want, because he wanted his princess; badly.

He wanted to sink into her body and possess her, dominate her. He wanted to hear her scream his name like it was the last sound she would ever make and needed to impress it upon the world.

And when they were together he had been holding himself back from her when it came to expressing much of any physical affection. He feared himself. He simply didn't trust himself not to all but attack her.

But now Serena, my princess, my Serenity, might be missing. He thought quietly. Has she noticed my distance in that regard? Could this be why she hasn't called me or come to see me? He suddenly wondered.

Could this also have something to do with why none of the girls have seen or spoken to her, why she hasn't been to school? Or at least part of the reason why?

Even though she hadn't said anything he knew it bothered her that she couldn't transform into Sailor Moon anymore. Then again he also hadn't asked her about it.

Darien sighed as he realized in distancing himself affectionately from her he had distanced himself even more than he realized. It was almost turning into a repeat of what happened when he broke up with her during the Black Moon event.

He couldn't let that happen again. It was the absolute last thing he wanted. He needed to bridge the distance between them before irreparable damage was done to their relationship. He needed to man up and talk to his princess like the prince he was; like the man who loved her and stop holding back.

Darien stood up abruptly and went to his phone, intending to call Raye back and find out more details before he set about searching for his princess, but paused as there was a firm knock on his door.

Serena appeared in a soft white light in a side alley close to her prince's apartment building before she carefully looked around. Seeing no one she calmly walked out of the alley and toward the building where her prince lived.

It was early evening and the sky was dark but there was still a little light from the disappearing sun. She thought it was late enough for him to be home, but not so late that he would be headed to sleep.

As she walked she thought about what she was going to say to him. He was sure to be surprised at her presence, and she would use that to get a foot in the door. Beyond that she figured her exact wording would depend on his reactions and how the conversation went.

Does he even know there is anything wrong between us? She wondered. Had he noticed that she hadn't called him or come to see him or did he not care?

Whatever the answer she was about to find out, because she wasn't going to let this continue. They would talk and she would have her answers whether they were good or bad.

She did not want to live with this uncertainty any longer. It was bad enough she couldn't be Sailor Moon anymore; she needed to know if she was losing her prince as well.

With her thoughts and will firmly in place Serena stepped up to the glass doors of the building and pulled one open. She stepped inside and walked through the lobby toward the elevators, and when she reached them she pressed the button to call one of them to her.

She stepped in when the doors opened and pressed the button for Darien's floor, and settled back against the wall as the doors slid closed. She took slow calming breaths as she closed her eyes. She was determined to have this conversation, no matter how long it took, but she was still nervous. She had the strong sense that the outcome would change her life.

The elevator slowed to a stop and she opened her eyes in time to see the doors open. She checked to make sure she was on the right floor before she stepped out into the quiet hallway and began to walk along the carpeted floor. Her eyes skipped from one door to the next until she reached his and paused.

It is now or never. She told herself as she took a deep breath. She let it out slowly and knocked firmly on the door.

Moments later she heard the lock click and the door opened to reveal the sight of her distant prince.

"Serena." Darien said in surprise. He was especially surprised to see her after learning she might be missing.

She looked fine; calm and relaxed, and not like she was in any sort of distress. She stood poised in a purple sleeveless slight V-neck sundress with a lavender leaf pattern that stopped just above her knees, and white wedge heel sandals.

It was nice fitting. Not too loose and not too snug. Only a small hint of her breasts peeked from the top of the dress, and her legs were as bare as they were when she wore her school uniform. The fit was certainly enough to grab his attention. Enough modesty for his old soul, and enough leg showing for his modern sensibilities.

"May I come in?" Serena asked.

"Yes." He said as he stepped back, opening the door wider for her.

"Thank you." She said as she stepped inside.

"Make yourself comfortable." Darien said as he closed the door and locked it.

He did so quickly and watched her walk into the living room and sit on the couch, almost directly in the center. He took a calming breath and followed her into the living room and paused as he quickly decided where he was going to sit.

Already desire for her was flowing through his body, and his imagination was flashing him images of different ways to dominate her.

And her dress is not helping. He thought as his eyes slid over her form. However, we need to talk before I try and get my hands on her.

He sat on the side chair closest to him, and looked her way only to find her already looking at him.

"I just listened to a message from Raye, which basically said she and the girls think you might be missing." He said, deciding to start with that.

"I am not surprised." Serena said with a delicate shrug. "They have not seen me in days, and are likely only now realizing we have become distant with each other."

"Why have you all become distant?" Darien asked. My own distance from her makes it so I don't already know, but that should not be happening. Those girls are her guardians. They are supposed to be close to her; especially now that she can't transform.

"It's likely an unconscious move on their part. I can't transform so they have to leave me when there's an attack. As for me, well, I put the distance on purpose. Not only because I can't transform, but because I've had a lot on my mind." She explained.

Here we go. He thought quietly. Now for what we really need to discuss with the issue of her possibly being missing explained away.

"And what has been on your mind?" He asked, his eyes never leaving her face, taking in every expression revealed.

"You. Us." Serena said, and paused before she closed her eyes. She very much hoped this conversation would give her her prince back. She missed him. She missed the way he smiled at her, and the way he held her.

I just want our relationship to be an actual relationship. She thought as she opened her eyes.

Darien watched his princess carefully as she closed her eyes. She had been thinking about him and their relationship. That was no surprise; especially if she had realized he was being distant with her. She was likely concerned that their relationship was on the verge of ending.

And that is my fault. He thought as he held back a frown. He had let his fears rule him instead of speaking to her like he should have.

Now I need to do what I can to fix it. I will not lose her because of my fears. Especially over such a thing as my dominance! He thought determinedly.

He was tired of nearly losing his princess over things that didn't involve literal life and death situations. Each time it started because of him, because of his fears, and he wondered, not for the first time, if his modern sensibilities were not getting in the way of them having as strong of a relationship as they should.

"You have been very distant." Serena began. "So much so that I haven't felt I can speak to you about how I feel about not being able to transform. I haven't even felt I could ask you how you feel about not being able to participate in fights. Even worse is the fact that I haven't been able to talk to you about what's been happening to me."

"I feel more like your friend than your girlfriend, and it has made me doubt you and feel self-conscious of myself. I hate that. I hate that I feel this way." She said seriously before she paused and suddenly sprang to her feet.

"I cannot take this! I refuse to continue on like this!" She exclaimed as she walked away from the couch and stood with her back to the balcony door. "I need to know if you want to be with me or not."

"Is that it? Do you no longer wish to be with me, and simply do not know how to tell me?" She asked as she watched him stand up. "Do you regret getting back together with me? Is it my age?" She asked sadly.

"No!" Darien said in alarm. What have I done?! He asked himself as he quickly stepped toward her. He never wanted anything like this. He just wanted to get himself under control so he didn't scare her off. The last thing he wanted was for her to doubt him or feel self-conscious.

"No. It is not that. It is none of those things. It is not you at all!" He said as he cupped her face between his hands.

"Then what is it?" Serena nearly cried out in frustration as she wrapped her fingers around his forearms. "Even this is different. This is the most you have touched me in weeks!"

"It is me!" Darien answered firmly as he wrapped her in his arms. "There is nothing wrong with you. There is nothing wrong between us. It is all me!" He said seriously as he held her close.

He closed his eyes in pain as he felt his princess' body tremble against him and listened to her cry. This was the result of letting his fears control him. His princess was hurt; the woman he loved was in pain, and all because he was afraid to be himself.

No more. He thought determinedly. This cannot continue. I need to be myself, and whatever happens will happen. If she is afraid of my new intensity then I will reassure her, but I will not have her doubting my love and affection for her. Nor will I have her feeling as if she is not enough.

"I was afraid of what was happening to me, and how it would affect you." Darien said as her crying slowed. She said she couldn't talk to me about what was happening to her, which is likely the same thing that is happening to me. Is she becoming more like Serenity just as I am becoming more like Endymion? He wondered as he rubbed up and down her back.

"What do you mean?" Serena asked quietly, enjoying the feel of his arms around her despite the situation.

"I mean I have been feeling more and more like Endymion. I feel the need to behave as I did in the past, but I feared I would scare or hurt you if I did. The last thing I wanted was for you to fear me." He explained.

"I remember the way you were back then, and I liked it." She admitted softly as she glanced up at him.

Serena blushed as she remembered how he had behaved with her. His intensity had always made her feel ultra-feminine and desirable. Everyone usually treated her like she was delicate and would break, but although he was always careful not to hurt her it didn't stop him from treating her like a regular woman that he wasn't afraid to touch.

"You did?" Darien asked quietly. Although he didn't need to ask. She had never made him think differently in the past, but she had also never said it outright as she just had.

"Yes." She answered as she looked up to him, meeting his eyes. "I was never afraid of you, and you never hurt me." She added for his reassurance. "I always felt normal and desirable with you." She admitted.

"That's good to hear." He said with a sigh, sounding relieved and slightly weary. "I was thinking earlier that everything negative that has happened between us is because of my modern sensibilities." He admitted as he held her tighter.

"I was never afraid of being myself or uncertain in the past. I never made you doubt me in the past." He added quietly.

"That's understandable." Serena said. "Mine have had a negative effect as well. I'm too forgiving. I usually don't even require a person to earn my forgiveness before I give it, and when you broke up with me before I allowed too much to be seen by the girls. It was not their business to know."

Darien nodded and he didn't need to hear her say it to know that they had no idea he had distanced himself from her. From her words she had clearly learned from the last time to not share with them.

"Well, I want to earn your forgiveness. Tell me what I need to do." He said earnestly.

"Come back to me! Stop holding yourself away from me." She said firmly. "If you feel compelled to behave as you did in the past then do it! You do not need anyone's permission. Do not hold yourself back. Let yourself be free. I want you to be yourself; all of yourself."

"Okay my princess. No more holding back." He agreed.

"Now tell me what it is exactly that you have been keeping from me. What did you wish to do that you feared I might be afraid of?" Serena asked.

Darien stroked up and down her back and took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"My possessiveness. My passion and desire for you; my need to dominate you." He admitted as he looked down at her. "I was holding myself back so I did not attack you in my need for you."

Serena sighed. Their wants and needs had been the same this whole time.

"I have needs as well my prince." She admitted. "I want to kiss you until it hurts and even then keep going despite the pain. I want to feel your hands moving on me. I want to feel pleasure. I want what we had in the past. I wish to feel like your princess."

Darien didn't reply with words. He simply cupped her face between his hands and kissed her with the firm passion he had been holding back for weeks.

As their tongues swirled together Serena felt her body flush hot as if to remind her that this was what she had been missing and wanting. She moaned as her desire began to make itself known, and pressed herself further against her prince.

Darien groaned as he heard his princess' sweet voice announcing her desire. The affect it had on his body was instantaneous. He grew hot and hard all at once, and he almost couldn't decide what to do next. Take her to his bedroom, lead her back to the couch, or simply press her against the nearest surface.

The nearest surface. He decided, since it was the closest option.

With his decision he moved his hands down to her waist and began to guide her backward, his lips never leaving hers as he guided them from memory alone. As soon as her back touched the wall next to the balcony he lifted her up to his height and held her to the wall with his body.

Serena broke their kiss with a moan and quickly wrapped her arms and legs around him to make sure she didn't slide away from him. She closed her eyes, since they had opened briefly, and turned her head to give him room since his lips had decided to occupy her neck.

Darien planted kisses along the column of his princess' neck as his hands began to enact his desire. They smoothed and stroked along her thighs, feeling supple muscles, moving higher as her dress easily allowed.

He sighed heavily as he nuzzled her with his nose. Pressed together as they were he could feel her soft curves and the heat of her body, so much intenser between her thighs, reminding him of his weeks held desire for her.

He wanted her so badly. He wanted to throw her down, thrust his body into her, and move until she couldn't remember her own name!

The imagery his thoughts created had him panting and he unconsciously began to rock his hips.

Serena gasped at the sudden feel of pleasure surging through her from her core at her prince's movements. This was what she wanted. This was what she was missing. She remembered this from the past. The only difference was that there was no long dress in the way.

She moaned softly, her body beginning to shiver as her nerves were stimulated, at the intensity of the pleasure she was feeling for the first time in this life.

This is what I have been wanting. Darien thought as he continued to rock his hips against his princess.

He had wanted this since they started dating. Well, technically he had wanted it long before; back when he had only known her as Sailor Moon. She hadn't been the only one to be instantly attracted. He had just been more private about his feelings, but there was no more need for that.

She was his, she knew how he felt, and now he was able to do something about the attraction besides kissing her. He wanted her, badly, but was now the right time? Was she ready? Was...

He sighed internally. This was what had started the problems. Questioning himself, doubting himself, and worrying. His princess had stated clearly that she wanted him to be himself and stop holding back.

So that is what I will do. He told himself before he kissed her firmly.

He firmed his grip on her and began to step back until he reached the couch. He sat on the soft arm of the couch and pulled his lips from hers, but before he could speak his princess began to rock her hips against his.

Darien groaned deeply and wished mightily that there were no clothes between them.

Serena shivered at the sound of her prince's voice rumbling in her ear.

"I want you." She heard him breath in her ear before planting a hot kiss just beneath her ear.

She moaned as she tightened her hold on him, her hips never stopping, keeping the pleasure going. She didn't even have to think about it. She had been dreaming and daydreaming about being with him for weeks! She wasn't about to deny them both what they wanted.

"Then have me." She replied before she kissed his cheek and moved down to suckle on his neck.

Darien immediately stood, already panting, and began to carry her back to his bedroom. The phone picked that moment to ring, but he ignored it, too focused on the feel of his princess' lips on his neck and getting to his room.

The answering machine picked up after the fourth ring and Raye's voice was heard, but they both ignored it since Serena was obviously fine and not missing. They could let the girls know later.
