So long time no updates. I managed to seriously hurt my self on the farm. Had major surgery to repair my rotator cuff. Recovery has been long and slow. I am just starting to be able to get my arm out of the sling and be normal and type and stuff. This story is coming to a end soon. Please bare with me as I get the last chapters out. Love you all for reading.
Lloyd continued to glower in Morrow and Harumi's direction. His breathing steady. But deeper and harsher. He was thinking, replaying things that he has said and done. That Bree had said, that all the others. Not once did he remember anyone coming out and saying that Morrow and Harumi had gotten married. He had eventually figured out that they were dating. But married... That was just as much of a shock as finding out about Cole and Bree.
Coles big bellowing laugh half shock Lloyd out of his line of thought. Bree had apparently half started to relax before Morrow had blown a gust of wind at her too and freaked her out. Lloyd looked closer at Bree's wrist. Then to Coles. Then at the other two brats zooming circles around Bree laughing. The dragon and the tan colored Roc both chirping and roaring in some amusement at Bree's still discomfort. When Bree had very expressly told Wu that her and Cole were married and there was exactly jack shit that Wu could say about it. Married by Caladonia and Djin standards at any rate.
Lloyd was so angry that he could very vaguely feel his body want to shift his eye color. He didn't want the girls to see him this angry. Not Harumi and especially not Bree, the only other person here who might actually be able to knock him for a loop. He didn't count Moria in the slightest and for a second he had forgotten she was still here flying right beside him. She then interrupted his thoughts as she spoke.
"What I was thinking is Bree Harumi and myself take the Rocs and flank the area that Fenwick has lit up by magic. And in front you Cole and Morrow are going to provide a distraction so we can sneak in and take the sword" Moria explained.
"I am concerned that Fenwick must know we are here. When the pendant dragged us to it we never found it on the ground anywhere near us. I don't think it would have gotten lost in the sand. I think once it acted like a portal that it made it way back to the sword." Bree said with a tinge of unease to her voice.
"Are you sure he thinks we are even alive?" Cole asked slowly as he mused it over. Morrow flying straight and listening in suddenly looked very seriously at him.
"What actually would even make Fenwick even think the girls are alive. As in the pendant was only suppose to suck in Bree and Rumi. It only drug us all through by accident when it was going after them. And its only Bree, Rumi and Moria that have their powers dimed. Their Djin powers. It is not messing with our other elemental powers right?" Morrow said breaking out into a grin.
"So what? We sneak in from one side and the girls from the other. And if it looks like someone is going to notice either set of us we just let every single thing that's not us in this realm really have it?" Cole asked.
Lloyd was growing weary and inpatient. And with a roll of his eyes and a huff. He rushed is dragon on without a look back at the others and banked very left. He knew that Cole and Morrow stayed back for a few seconds to say I love you to their wives. And it made his blood boil. Vaguely he could hear something behind him. No someone. Cole's booming voice along side Morrows exasperated one. Lloyd raced on ignoring them. He had veered off and then headed straight into the ruins. Lloyd was in a disastrous mood and he was all too ready to raise hell on someone. Anyone. Fenwick, Ghouls. Those weird not quite sky pirates. He didn't care anymore.
"So what kinda distraction ya thinking about boss?" Morrow said through a mouthful of crumbs. Coughing as he tilted his head back and tried to catch the last bite in his mouth.
"Where in the hell did you even get th..." Cole started to say as he was abruptly cut off.
Lloyd had pulled up next to Morrow on his elemental dragon and extending his arm and hand let off a bolt of energy lightening directly at his face. Morrow narrowly missing getting blasted as Lloyd continued to zoom on.
"Lloyd, dude what in the hell are you doing?!" Morrow hissed from beside him. Racing along and using the wind to push his elemental dragon to keep up with Lloyd's pace. Cole's slightly slower but larger elemental dragon looked like it was making its best attempt to keep up but failing.
Glowering and rolling his eyes Lloyd let off another energy blast at Morrow. When he missed again Lloyd just rammed his larger energy dragon into Morrows slimmer wind dragon. Pushing and keeping pushing until they landed in a jarring crash. The dust and grit flying up in a puff at first then in a mushroom shaped cloud as energy blasts and gusts of wind bust out in a creepy gritty tornado. A stream of profanity from Morrow, almost unintelligible in sound other than letting Cole know that Lloyd hadn't killed Morrow. Yet.
"For fucks sake!" Cole groaned. Sometimes he really wished his wife wasn't always so right in the futures she saw.
