When the family met at the Guzmans for dinner their was a happy note among the kids even if their Abuela was ignored. She no longer sat at the head of the table, instead slipping in near the end trying not to bring notice to herself now. Isabella, Camilo and Delores had all gone off on her that afternoon causing her some more serious reflection on how broken her family had become.

Carina glanced at Senoria Madrigal but turned back to Bruno making sure his plate was filled and he was eating properly. That also made Alma bend her shoulders in shame seeing the relationship between the pair even after all of this time. So strong and loving even after she had done all she could to break it to protect her son from something she saw as a threat, which only caused him to run from her.

The family was loud and happy all around her showing a side of joy that Alma had rarely seen before the Casita fell. Delores was next to Mariano who had his arm around her and they were over joyed as well. Causing Alma to ask how blind she had been to completely ignore Delores and the emotions her granddaughter had toward Mariano. That was something that Isabella had pointed out strongly and Delores had snapped at her about it when she had asked.

Alma had told Mirabel that she had been blinded, but now she could see exactly how much she was and how much damage she needed to fix. Her thoughts were interrupted when Pepa stood up, "Quiet everyone," pointing at Bruno and Carina, "these two have an announcement to make!"

Bruno ducked shyly and Carina covered his hand, "We all know that Isabella is not taking the wedding date next week." There was a slight laugh as everyone remembered how vehemently Isabella let everyone know that before Carina continued, "And well, Bruno and I decided that a thirty year engagement was long enough." Seeing the mix of confusion and excitement, "So we are taking it as our wedding date."

There was a screaming cheer and everyone started talking at once congratulating the couple and asking for the details. Alma shrunk down even more seeing how happy her boy was, she had taken that happiness from him and now he was scared of her. The family was now planning the wedding but Carina wanted it to be small as she was always protective of Bruno.

Looking down at her plate Alma didn't know if she would be welcome at her baby's wedding at all. But she knew what Julietta would say, "You won't know unless you ask."
