I don't own Fire emblem Awakening, all rights go to intelligence systems and Nintendo.
This one shot au I got from a Twitter artist by the name of @gommy_worm. It featured the awakening kids going back I time without Lucina, who had sacrificed herself. Hope you love this everyone.
In the Ylissean castle garden, little Cynthia Lowell was busy hiding in a bush, trying her hardest to stop her little giggle.
Just then, a pair of hands grabbed her shoulders from behind and yelled "BOO!" Causing Cynthia to jump up in surprise. "I found you!" Lucina giggled at her little sister.
"Lucina, that's not fair." Cynthia pouted, but was secretly smiling on the inside.
"Sorry, but now's your turn to find me." Lucina smiled.
Just the. A voice called out to them. "Lucina! Cynthia!" Sumia smiled at her children as she walked up to them.
The two sisters ran up to their mother and hugged her. "Mommy, how's aunt Anna?" Asked Lucina
"Oh she's fine. Aunt Lissa said she's just recovering." Said Sumia. "Why don't you come meet your new 'cousins'."
"Oh that's sounds great." Said Cynthia as she followed her sister to go see Her aunt Anna and uncle Robin and their new kids. For Cynthia, life couldn't get any better.
Robin had walked through the camp with a smile on his face. It took some doing, but he had managed he'd to track down almost all of the shepherds future children.
It was crazy when he thought about it. He, Chrom, Lissa, and Frederick had come across his future daughter in the forest when they fought against the risen. She road in on a Pegasus and impaled one of the risen who was about to attack Lissa. Chrom was relieved and wanted to make her a part of the shepherds but then she disappeared.
It wasn't until later they found her in Regna ferox where she led Basilio's men in a battle against Flavia. He said something about her unending enthusiasm that made her his champion. And after getting to know Cynthia, Robin had to admit, Chrom's daughter had a lot of charm to her.
But it wasn't until she saved Emmeryn from her assassination attempt was when they found what she was doing. She went by the name, Marth, and said she was from the future sent back to stop events from happening. While Chrom wasn't hesitant to believe her, it took her rescuing him from an assassin and her showing off the parallel Falchion that got them thinking. And then she disappeared again.
But it wasn't until there fifth encounter was when she finally revealed herself as Chrom's daughter. Cynthia. Admittedly, Cynthia's happy go lucky attitude was hard to get used to, but after while, Robin considered her a great friend. Cynthia had mentioned she came with several other friends, and while it took a while, Robin and the shorts found all of Cynthia's friends. Including his own twin children, Morgan and Marc.
As far as Robin was concerned, The shepherds were gonna win this war against Valm. Robin had made it to his tent when he saw his wife, Anna, teaching their kids the value of gold coin.
"So by collecting more and spending less, you get save up for the most valuable things." Smiled Anna.
"Like what?" Asked Marc fixing up his messy white hair.
"Like fine jewelry to give to your loved ones." Said Anna.
"But we don't even like that stuff." Said Morgan.
Smiling robin, said "please don't tell me you're trying to make them merchants."
"Hey, the merchant life style is meant for every Anna." Anna said with confidence. "I can see it in both their eyes."
"My calling is with tactics mother." Morgan playfully rolled her eyes at Anna.
"Why don't you two head over to your own tent?" Robin recommended, "I want to speak with your mother personally."
Morgan and Marc up from the bed and decided to walk out. "If you wanted privacy Papa, you should've just asked." Marc smiled as he and Morgan went to their shared tent.
Anna simply smiled at Robin and said "So what do you want, honey?" Robin simply sat down next to Anna and started to caress her thigh and kissed her neck. "Okay!" Anna giggled at Robin's advances.
Just before Robin was about to get ready with Anna he heard someone call out his name. "Robin, can I talk to you?" Sounded like Chrom.
"You got to be kidding me?" Robin grumbled as he and Anna untangled from each other.
"Be back soon honey." Anna winked at Robin as he walked outside their tent.
Robin simply glared at Chrom as he walked up to his friend. "I really hope you have a good excuse for interrupting me."
"Oh relax robin, you have plenty of time to sex up Anna." Chrom rolled his eyes at Robin, causing him to open his eyes wide in shock. "Well you two aren't exactly quiet about it. That's why Sumia and I moved tents."
"This is so embarrassing." Robin groaned in frustration.
"Anyways I need your help with something." Said Chrom. "Lately Cynthia has been distant with us." Chrom rubbed the back of his neck. "At first she's been clingy to me, wanting nothing more to spend time with Sumia and I. But then after we found Morgan and Marc in the ruins of time, she suddenly changed her mood. Do you think something happened between your kids and my daughter."
Robin then rubbed his head and thought about it. "I can't say I haven't noticed. Between Morgan's love for pranks, and Marc and his love for showing off his big collection, those two aren't the most easy to be around. But cut em some slack. They're twelve after all."
"I don't know about that." Said Chrom.
"I'll talk to Cynthia about it." Said Robin. "I'm sure we can settle things out."
"I hope so." Said Chrom. "Sheesh, it seems like just yesterday when I found out I had a second daughter, and I have yet to even meet the future Lucina. My little girl."
"We'll find her soon enough Chrom." Said Robin. "After all, we managed to find all the other future kids. I'm sure future Lucina will show up eventually."
Walking away, Robin's only goal was to now get to Cynthia, patch what rift was between her and his kids, report to Chrom, and then go back to Anna. He smiled at himself for his plan.

Cynthia had watched from a distance looking at contempt at what was before her. She saw Owain, playing with Morgan and Marc, reenacting their Justice cabal days. It wasn't that she was mad at Owain, or the tactician twins. She was simply looking at them with envy because of what she lost.
(Flashback)
Cynthia had been busy playing her favorite game there was. Justice cabal. It was a game where, her, her cousin Owain, and their littlest friends Morgan and Marc would go around making up scenarios to play adventure.
And today was the best day there was as Cynthia managed to talk her sister Lucina into playing Justice cabal with them.
"Neal before fearsome bandit Queen that is Lucina!" Lucina held her wooden sword up in the air, playing her part as the villain perfectly.
"Don't worry little ones!" Cynthia said as she looked at her plushies that were playing the audience, "I, Cynthia Lowell, the greatest hero there is."
Cynthia playfully charged up to Lucina and tried to hit her with her wooden sword, but Lucina was one step ahead of her. Parrying her attack, Lucina used her foot to trio Cynthia to the ground.
"You're no good Cynthia." Lucina mocked her little sister.
"Fear not Cynthia, for I, Owain dark, is here to save you." Owain got out his wooden sword and started to fight Lucina.
Owain kept striking and striking while Lucina kept doffing and parrying. To the point where Owain looked like he was gonna lose. But at last minute, two younglings who looked identical showed up.
"You may be stwong." Started Morgan.
"But you can't match the might of the tactician twins!" Said Marc.
Marc took out a book and screamed "wind!" Pretending that there was a gush of wind blowing at her, Lucina playfully fell to the ground.
"And now to finish her off!" Morgan got out her wooden sword and playfully tapped Lucina's head. "Fall to the mighty Morgan!!"
"Oh no! This can't be how the mighty Lucina ends." Lucina smiled at the four.
"Fear not young ones, for the Justice cabal has stopped the evilness from taking over our town!" Owain said to the plushies.
This finally caused all the kids to break out laughing. Their friendly game of heroics may have been concluded, but Cynthia wouldn't trade it for anything.
Just then Chrom walked up to the children. "Cynthia, Lucina, can I speak to both of you?"
The two princess walked with the exalt to the hallway leading to the gardens and he knelt down to his girls.
"Alright, I have something to tell you." Chrom said nervously. "Daddy has to go with uncle Robin to plegia fro a couple of days to negotiate with their leader." Chrom then sighed. "Because of this, I want you two to be on your best behavior. Don't let stranger in, and if you see a risen come near the palace, you'll know what to do."
"Don't worry daddy we'll be well behaved while you're gone." Cynthia smiled.
Chrom kissed his little pega-pony princess on the forehead and sent her away. Just as Cynthia was about to go back to the gardens, she noticed Lucina wasn't with her. Hiding behind a pillar, Cynthia heard over what Chrom was telling.
"Lucina, I don't know if I'm gonna make it back." Chrom whispered to Lucina. "If I don't come back-"
"Don't say that, daddy!" Lucina stomped her foot at her father.
"Shhhh!" Chrom shushed Lucina. "Listen, if I don't make it back, I need you to look after Cynthia for me."
"But daddy-" started Lucina.
"Please listen." Chrom interrupted her. "I understand you're worried, but I need you to put on a brave face. I know you and your mother will look after Cynthia for me." Chrom smiled before giving Lucina his Falchion. "If I don't make it back, you'll be leading Ylisse for me." Ruffling Lucina hair, Chrom got up and walked away.
Both of them still didn't notice Cynthia watching their conversation with a tear in her eye.
(((0)))
Snapping back to present, Cynthia barely noticed Owain walking up to her.
"Ah, dear cousin, would you like to join his for another game to Justice cabal!" Owain smiled as he held up his sword. "Shall we go on adventure?"
Cynthia simply smiled solemnly and said "No thanks. I better go."
Cynthia walked back to her tent, trying desperately to hide her sadness from others. Owain stood there in confusion as Morgan walked up to him.
"What's up with her?" Asked Morgan innocently.
"I don't know. When we found her and the shepherds, she was as bubbly and happy as before, but after we found you two in the ruins of time, she suddenly acts distant." Said Owain. He then remembered what happens right before they went back from the future. Looking at his two companion, Owain said "it's a good thing you two have amnesia. Because I feel like Cynthia's issues run deeper then she hiding."
Marc looked up in confusion at Owain. "Can't be that bad can it?"
The three walked away from the area, not noticing Robin was looking over them. Getting the courage, Robin walked over to Cynthia's tent.
Opening the flap on her tent, Robin saw the normally happy go lucky Cynthia on her bed, crying. Robin never saw Cynthia like this, she was normally cheerful and and sweet so seeing her clutching a pillow close to her chest, Robin's heart broke for her.
"Cynthia, um, are you okay?" Robin asked the first question that popped up into his head.
Cynthia looked up at robin and tried to wipe away her tears. "I-I'm fine!"
Robin took a seat next to Cynthia and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Is this about Lucina? I know we haven't found her yet, but I can assure you, we'll find her soon." Robin rubbed his neck with his other hand. "I know we haven't been too good at finding her, but believe me, we'll see her soon."
"It's- it's not just that!" Cynthia sniffled as she clung onto Robin's shirt.
"Is it about Morgan and Marc?" Robin asked.
Cynthia knew telling Robin about Lucina wouldn't do well for him. "It's just, I see the bond between Morgan and Marc and I just can't help but feel jealous. I don't have my sister with me."
Robin simply smiled at Cynthia. "Hey, it's perfectly understandable what you're going through." Rubbing her shoulder robin continued. "I know how you and Lucina have a bond closer than any other. That's probably why you've been jealous of those two, am I correct?"
Cynthia's lip trembled before sighing. "Yeah! That's why. I guess really miss my sister."
Robin smiled at Cynthia and then said "don't worry, we will find her. I promise you."
Cynthia smiled before she hugged Robin tightly. "Thanks uncle. I promise I'll behave better in front of your kids."
"Hey you don't have to." Said Robin. "But know if you have any plight, come to either me or Chrom and we'll help you out."
"Thanks uncle." Cynthia smile before she gave Robin a kiss on the cheek.
"I better go back now." Said Robin. "Anna and I have something important to deal with."
"Heheh! Sure it is." Cynthia mocked Robin as he got up from her bed and toward the exit of her tent. "And make sure to not to be too loud."
Robin stopped dead in his tracks. "Just how loud are we?!" He then left in embarrassment, leaving Cynthia to her own thoughts.
As Robin left the tent, he didn't notice Owain waiting right next to her tent. As soon as he was gone, Owain made his move.
Walking in the tent, Owain said "I heard everything, Cynthia." Cynthia looked away, not wanting to confront her cousin. "Listen, I know how you feel, and believe, what happened to Lucina can't be unchanged, but you shouldn't have lied to Robin like that."
"There was no point in telling the truth." Cynthia grumbled. "It's not my place to tell him, nor father, nor mother, nor our friends."
"They're gonna have to find out eventually." Owain argued. "It's killing me that I can't tell them what happened. Severa asking constantly about Lucina, Gerome, questioning why we aren't looking for her faster. Hell, even Laurent is concerned about her. We have to tell them sooner or later."
"I CAN'T!" yelled Cynthia. "I can't tell them what happened to my sister. I can't tell them how much of a failure I am as a member of house Lowell." Cynthia had tears in her eyes exposing this to Owain. "I couldn't even rescue my older sister."
Owain just sighed. "Listen, what happens with Lucina hurt me too, I know what you're going throu-"
"NO YOU DON'T!" Cynthia got up from her bed and looked Owain straight in the eye. "You don't have any siblings. You don't know what it's like to have your best friend ripped away from you!"
All Owain could do was sigh at Cynthia. "Hiding this from the others won't bring her back." As he left, he said "and just to let you know, Lucina was a sister to all of us. I wish I could've told her that sooner."
Once Owain was gone, Cynthia sat down on her bed and cried silently to sleep. She couldn't bare to think what to do.
(((0)))
Little Cynthia was in her room, crying while clutching a plushie close to her chest. Just then Lucina opened the door.
"Hey sis." Lucina said at the doorway. "How are you feeling?"
"Not well." Cynthia sniffed at Lucina as her older sister sat down on the bed next to her. "Why did he have to die? Why did daddy have to go?"
"I don't know." Lucina voice was starting to crack. "I wish I could tell you it's going to be okay, but I don't know if it will."
"Lucy?" Cynthia leaned her head on her shoulder. "Promise me you won't go away too."
"I promise." Lucina smiled at her. "I'll stick with you no matter what."
Cynthia smiled at the comfort she was receiving from her sister. At least she knew Lucina will always have her back.
(((0)))
The next day, Cynthia walked over to Owain in the supply tent as the shepherds were ready to make their move to walhart's castle.
"Owain, can we talk?" Cynthia asked.
"What do you need cousin." Owain smiled at her, as if he was forgetting about Cynthia yelling at him last night.
"I wanted to say I'm sorry about yesterday." Cynthia said to Owain. "I was just sad and I took it all out on you. I'm sorry."
"It's fine Cynthia." Said Owain. "I understand what you're going through, and believe me when I say that no matter what, I'm here for you."
"Thanks Owain." Cynthia's hugged her cousin. "I- I'm not ready to tell the others though. At least not yet."
"Understood." Said Owain. "Now let's move on and vanguish the evil menaces the plagues this continent."
"Alright, leader!" Cynthia triumphantly said. "No one will stand a chance against the Justice cabal!"
"Correct!" Smiled Owain.
Cynthia then got out the Falchion and handed it to Owain. "Here, I understand that Lucina trusted me with the Falchion, but I've never been one for swords. I am a lance girl after all. The least we can do is see if it works on you too though."
Owain took the Falchion and held it in his hand. Just feeling made his heart go faster. Cynthia went over to a log and held it up for Owain. Getting the signal, Owain slash the Falchion onto the log, cutting it clean in half.
Smiling, Cynthia said "it appears the Falchion has found its new master."
"My sword hand twitches for the blood of my enemy." Said Owain. "Do not worry Falchion, I will will love up to your expectations." This made Cynthia break out laughing, with Owain following.
At leas the rift between the two cousins was healed. But unfortunately Cynthia, putting off telling everyone about Lucina would come back to fire on her soon enough.
(((0)))
The war with Valm had ended in Victory. While it was arbitrary, and at some point even frustrating, defeating walhart was a piece of cake for Robin and his family. But what really made him happy was to see Cynthia going back to normal. She was now back to her bubbly and happy self and even hung around with his kids, reforming their Justice cabal.
For Robin, it seemed like things were all going well... unfortunately though, it didn't last long.
His bastard of a father had mind controlled him and forced him to steal the fire emblem from Chrom. And to make matters worse, all six gems were attached to the shield, making Grima's resurrection all the more plausible.
Many were calling for Robin's arrest, but thankfully Cynthia came to his defense and reassured everyone that he was still the Robin they knew and loved.
So of course this led to Robin and Chrom confronting Validar in the Dragon's Table. With the shepherds of course.
Validar had put on a great fight, but when fighting against the combined efforts of the shepherds, it didn't take long for Cynthia and Owain to finish him off.
"My sword hand hungers for power." Owain said as he held the parallel Falchion in his hand. With Cynthia right next to him, on her Pegasus, the duo got to work. Cynthia held her arc fire tome in her arm and fired at Validar. Soon Owain, took the Falchion and slashed Validar in the chest, killing him.
Getting off her Pegasus, Cynthia was engulfed in a hug by Sumia and Chrom.
"We're so proud of you." Sumia said letting go. "I knew you'd be a gifted dark flier."
"You take just after your mother, Cynthia. I couldn't be happy for you." Said Chrom.
"Thank you father." Said Cynthia.
Smiling, Robin looked at Cynthia and Owain. It looks like things were just wrapping up here. That was until the Hierophant showed up.
Chills went down Cynthia's spine from looking at Robin's look alike. She gripped her lance and glared daggers at the man.
"Hehehe!" The hierophant laughed menacingly. "Honesty taking out Validar may have done me re good he bad. I have to say, I'm very happy to see you here." He then smiled sadistically. "Robin."
"What does robin have to do with you?" Asked Chrom as he gripped his Falchion.
"Yeah, you- you go away." Sumia said defiantly.
"Oh Chrom you foolish man." Said The hierophant. "When Validar stole the emblem in the future, he revived Grima with his host. A vessel to hold the most powerful being there was."
"We just killed Validar." Said Anna. "In case you haven't noticed, how can you revive Grima without his vessel."
"Simple, he's right there." The hierophant pointed at Robin. "Did you honestly think I'd let Lucina be successful? Did you honestly think allowing her to go back in time would stop me?! Did you honestly think I would let some lackey like Validar be my vessel?!!"
The realization hit robin harder then anything ever could. "You're, I'm, the vessel?"
"Yes." Said the hierophant. "When I came back in time, I tried to merge with you. Unfortunately, it caused you to gain amnesia as a result. You may come to know me as Grima. The fell dragon. The destroyer of worlds. And the murderer of Princess Lucina Lowell."
The world stopped for Cynthia when she heard Grima say that. The one thing she didn't want her parents to find out. And it was slipped out.
"What?!" Chrom seethed in anger. "You're lying. Lucina's alive, right Cynthia." Chrom turned to his daughter only to see her holding her hands close to her mouth and on the verge of tears.
"That face says it all." Gloated Grima. "When Lucina performed the awakening ritual in the future, she decided to bring her friends with her to ensure her victory against me. But I couldn't allow her to succeed. When I tracked down her location to off her group, I was almost too late all but three had made it through the portal. So i figured if I killed Lucina then, those brats wouldn't have their leader to help them save the past." Grima then turned to Cynthia. "And I have to say, I'm quite proud of you Cynthia. Lucina left you with a burden unlike anything else and you couldn't even stop me. You instead led me right to where my vessel was. It'd be funny if it wasn't so pathetic."
"I can't believe a good man like robin would be the vessel for someone like you." Sumia said.
"Oh I can." Grima then looked at robin. "So what do you say, Robin, join my side and together, we can rule this world as gods."
"You're kidding right?" Robin questioned the mad fiend in front of him. "I could never join someone as crazy as you."
"As expected." Said Grima. "I don't need you to regain my power, Robin. I can do it myself in your place." Just then a dark aura engulfed Grima. "I look forward to sending you and your friends to the grave."
"We should run." Said Robin.
"Agreed." Anna said as she picked both her kids up and ran with the others out of the dragon's table.
Just outside, the last of the shepherd had successfully escaped the dragons table. Right as a bolt of lighting came from it's roof and into the sky. Lighting hit the ground left right and center and Chrom fell to the ground dodging one of the bolts.
In the sky, a large roar came from the sky as the draconic form of Grima emerged from the clouds. The shepherds had stared up at it in awe and terror as Grima flew in the sky.
"Now what?" Chrom asked
"I don't know." Said Robin. "It's good thing I stole the fire emblem though." He then showed Chrom the fire emblem. "I stole from you back in plegia castle. The least I can do is steal it back."
Cynthia meanwhile, saw the the sight before her and was more scared then she ever could be. "Lucina. I'm so sorry."
(((0)))
In the shepherd camp, the group was taking a short break as they were making their way to the mount prism to see Naga.
Cynthia and Owain were for a meeting with Chrom, Sumia, Robin and Anna. The four wanted one thing. An answer about Lucina.
"Cynthia, Owain, stop hiding secrets from us."Said Chrom. "We need everything."
Owain simply sighed at Chrom, and looked at Cynthia. Her nod was all he needed. "The reason why Lucina never came back with us is because of her sacrifice. We wanted desperately to tell you guys, but we couldn't."
"I still remember all of it." Cynthia muttered.
(Flashback)
Just outside the portal that Naga opened, Lucina was hugging goodbye to Severa.
"I'll see you on the other side." Lucina Severa on the lips. "I promise."
"I know you will." Severa smiled as she ran into the portal.
"Alright dear cousin, now it's just us three!" Owain said confidently. "Our journey may separate us but together we will win this."
Cynthia got to nuzzling her Pegasus before boarding it. "This is it, my friend." She said to her steed.
"I'm ready." Lucina said she she got out the Falchion.
"Oh I think not!" They all turned to see Grima approaching them with his hood up and several risen around him. "It took some doing, but I managed to track all of you down."
"Sister, behind me!" Lucina got in front of her Cynthia as she got out her Falchion. Owain followed soon after getting out his sword.
"I can't let you Go back in time." Seethed Grima in anger. "I can't let you undo all my glory."
"Well you're gonna have to fiend!" Cynthia glared at the fell dragon in human form. "We won't let you stop us!"
"Ha, so cute!" Grima mocked the Pegasus knight. "Just like your mother. Too innocent for this world to survive " he readied his Thoron, and with precise aim, fired at Cynthia.
The Pegasus knight braces for impact but felt nothing as she heard a feminine scream. Cynthia opened her eyes and saw Owain holding onto a kneeling Cynthia.
"Run! Quickly." Lucina said with blood coming out of her mouth.
"Lucy, we can't leave you here!" Cynthia got off her Pegasus and ran to her sister.
"Lucina, please, you have to come back with us." Said Owain.
"If we leave now, Grima will follow us." Lucina then handed the Falchion over to Cynthia. "Here take the Falchion, go back in time and find my father. Before it's too late. I'll stay behind and try to stop Grima."
"Lucy, no!" Said Owain.
"Owain, please, do this as a last request for a fellow Justice cabal member." Lucina smiled at Owain.
With tears in his eyes, Owain said "it was an honor knowing you." Owain then grabbed Cynthia forced her into her Pegasus. "Come on Cynthia, we have to go!"
"Owain?" She tried to escape but his grip was too strong as he forced her and her Pegasus into the portal, "we can't leave her like this!"
"Goodbye sister." Lucina whispered to herself as she got out her rapier and used what little strength she had left to charge over to Grima. Only to be engulfed in the expiration spikes.
"NOOOOOOOOO!" Cynthia screamed before she and her Pegasus made it through the portal.
(Present)
That was all Cynthia had to say as Sumia held her tightly in her arms, letting her daughter cry in her chest. "I couldn't save her. I couldn't save my own sister."
"The fault was on me too." Owain reasoned. "The blame shouldn't be fully on you."
"It's non of your fault." Robin argued. "This was all on me. As the vessel I am responsible for future Lucina's death, therefor the blame should be placed on me."
"Gods." Was all Chrom could say. "I never realized just how much misery Grima caused you guys. To lose someone so close to you must be heartbreaking."
Chrom then Looked at Owain. "Listen here Owain, don't try to feel guilty over your cousin's death."
"But-" Owain tried to argue.
"No!" Chrom narrowed his eyes at him. "You were given an order and as a soldier, you followed through on them. That's the key to war. So don't think this is your fault. You're a good man Owain, and I couldn't be prouder to call you my nephew."
Chrom then Turned to Cynthia. "And Cynthia, I know what it's like to lose a sister, but believe me, it gets better me, it gets better. Don't let her sacrifice go in vain."
"I didn't want to tell you guys until after the war, because I didn't want to lower the moral." Said Cynthia. "But now I know at the bottom of my heart that i must do everything I can to save this world from Grima. It's what Lucina would've wanted."
"And by all means, we'll make sure to defeat." Said Owain.
"There's the two royals we know and love." Anna smiled at them.
"Don't worry you two, we will avenge Lucina." Said robin. "I promise."
(((0)))
Cynthia and Owain had to call a meeting with the future kids to explain what happened to Lucina. Some took it alright.
"Even though I don't remember her, I still feel sad." Morgan wiped a tear from her eye.
"It's okay sister." Marc tried to comfort his twin while also have a tear in his eye.
"I wished I got to at least goodbye to her." Said Yarne.
"I can't believe it, Lucina really is gone huh?" Noire said.
"And we'll never see her again." Said Nah with a sad look.
"I'd give up all my armor and weapons just have my fried back." Said Kjelle.
"If only there was a way to bring back a loved one though tomes." Said Laurent.
"I wish there was something I could've done." Said Inigo.
"Don't put to much blame on yourself. We were long through the portal by the time this happened." Gerome placed a hand on Inigo's shoulder.
While sever and Brady took it the hardest.
"Sniff! Oh Lucina." Cried Brady as Kjelle tried to comfort him. Key word being tried as she was never good at handling feelings.
Severa was a mess however. Her and Lucina were closer than just friends. They were girlfriends so finding Out that the woman she loved was dead didn't leave the best impact on her.
Cynthia sat next to Severa and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry I couldn't be able to save her."
"Sniff. I want to be mad at you." Severa wiped her eyes as Cynthia. "I want to do nothing but punch you for leaving Lucina behind. But I can't."
"It's okay sevy!" Cynthia promised. "We'll avenge Lucina. I promise."
All Severa could do was smile at Cynthia. No matter, she could never be mad at Cynthia.
Cynthia the. Got up and started talking. "My friends. While Lucina may have a been a friend to everyone, her time was too short." She then took a deep breath. "But I promise we'll beat Grima. We'll stop his plans, and we will avenge Lucina. On my lance, I promise."
The entire erupted in applause. They were not gonna lose this war.
(((0)))
The final battle was about to start. The shepherds were preparing for Naga to teleport them on the back of Grima to defeat future Grima once and for all.
Robin was busy getting his Levine sword and tomes ready. He took one final look at Anna gave her a deep kiss. "I don't know what will happen, but I do know is that you'll always be first in my heart."
"Same to you my love." Anna said to Robin as she held his face. "I would trade all my gold if it means we didn't have to fight this war. It means we can live peacefully."
"We will win." Said robin. "I promise."
Anna simply smiled before she walked off to her children. Robin saw Cynthia walking up to him and giving him a tight bear hug.
"Easy there kid." Robin chuckled at Cynthia.
Cynthia then let go of robin before and started talking. "You would've liked her. Lucina that is."
"I'm sure I would've." Smiled Robin.
"She was noble, brave, smart, and was the best friend anyone could've asked for." Said Cynthia. "I remember one time she convinced you to do a pretend wedding with her."
"Really?" Robin asked with a smile on his face.
"Of course." Laughed Cynthia. "Lucina had the biggest crush on you. Hell, all us girls did. Even Severa, and she hates showing her emotions."
"That's crazy." Laughed robin. "Listen, I don't want you to think you can participate in this battle. You can walk out if you want to."
"No!" Cynthia said defiantly. "If I truly want to be a valiant knight, then I need to face my fear. Together?" She held out her hand for Robin to grab.
And Robin did just that as he held her hand. "Together."
(((0)))
It had been five months since the war with Grima ended. Though for Robin, it felt like two days. Primarily because he woke up back on that field two days ago. Anna gave him a good punch in the stomach for sacrificing himself to defeat Grima once and for all. Followed by a passionate kiss of course. Robin was just happy it was all over.
Many things have changed in the five months he was gone. The shepherds all moved on with their lives, Anna had opened a shop in Ylisstol to run with Morgan's me Marc, who still weren't interested in becoming merchants, Sumia was preparing for the arrival of present Cynthia, and even Severa and Inigo started going out. Unfortunately not everyone wanted to stay in the same place.
Robin stood outside the walls of Ylisstol with Chrom and Sumia, who was holding baby Lucina in her arms.
"Are you sure you wanna leave like this?" Asked Chrom.
All Cynthia could do was smile. "Father, I'll be okay."
"You don't have to go anywhere Cynthia." Said Sumia. "You can stay here with us. Plus it'll be great to have you and little Cynthia running around."
"And that's why I have to go." Said Cynthia. "I don't wanna take anything away from present me once she born. So I think it's best if I leave before I get too attached."
"We're really gonna miss you Cynthia." Said Robin.
"I'll miss you too." Cynthia said before she turned to little Lucina. "Funny, I wanted to see you ever since I first arrived. I just wished I got to spend more time with you." She placed a kiss on baby Lucina's forehead.
Cynthia then handed the Falchion over to Chrom. "Owain left it to me. I figured I can leave it to you." Chrom and Sumia pulled Cynthia into a hug as she tried her hardest not to cry.
"You'll always have a home here." Said Chrom.
"We promise." Sumia said as she and Chrom let her go.
Cynthia then walked over to robin and kissed him in the cheek. "Goodbye uncle Robin. I hope you have a great life."
"May you and I meet again, friend." Robin smiled at her.
Cynthia then boarded her Pegasus and lifted off from the ground and I into the sky, flying away from her friends and family.
Robin never saw future Cynthia again after she left. Nobody did. Her whereabouts were a complete enigma. But maybe it was for the best. After all, Cynthia's journey was her own, and he and Chrom shouldn't be apart of it now a days anyways.
The end.
Before we leave, congratulations to Tiki and Chrom for winning the CYL 6 for FEH. Also also, I WASTED MY VOTE FOR MALE BYLETH!!! Why does Male Byleth always get the short end of the stick?!!!! I'm starting to hate female Byleth now.
Anyways, I hoped you all enjoyed this one shot. Please leave a review.
