Okay so if any of you read my Plo Koon fanfic, then you know that school and my family have been the worst lately, so expect slow updates. I will try to update weekly.

Just a warning homophobes: Many of the main characters are part of the LGBTQ+ community including characters that Shannon Messenger made and that will be hinted about (some of them have already been hinted at *cough* Peggy *cough*)

Also, if I need this: I do not own KotLC because if I did then Linhella would happen already

Chapter 2

Written by Hoomanbean12

Bec's POV

Bec looked at the boy staring. It took all of her self restraint to not stare back.

She thought for a bit. "Hey Peggy can I see that book?" Bec asked.

Peggy nodded, and handed her the book. Bec accidentally touched the girl's hand and felt suspicion. Or at least what she thought was suspicion.

It wouldn't take a genius to know what she was suspicious of.

"Hey Bec, it's almost dinner. We should put the book back." Audrey told her.

Bec stared a moment, then put the book back. She looked at the boy one last time. He was gone.

...

"Bec! Peggy! Yuune!" Audrey yelled, waking the three up. She was perfectly dressed in her Foxfire uniform.

Bec groaned and realized when she 'rested' she ended up falling asleep.

Already dressed and eaten, she got out of bed and haphazardly put her cape on. She dazedly grabbed supplies and shoved them in a bag.

The brown haired elf sat and cinnacreme and looked over at Yuune. She was consuming bluerasberry air at an alarming rate after picking at whatever Edaline made her.

When everyone finished or got ready enough, everyone headed off to school.

"Great. Another day of torture." Bec muttered to herself.

Peggy heard, and nodded in agreement.

When the four of us got to Foxfire, we got ready for orientation. Alina threatened about the most recent prank. It was an average thing, it almost is so common it's practically scripted.

This time, instead of moving on, a spotlight appeared on a blonde girl who looked very nervous.

"Everyone, please welcome Sophie Foster—a Level Two prodigy, starting her first day at Foxfire."

Everyone looked at her, Bec included.

"Ssssssophie." the room hissed.

"Is that how we welcome someone?" Dame Alina asked.

Bec felt very awkward. How do we know what to do? It's not like we get a new student every day.

Everyone clapped. It was painfully awkward.

"That's better." Dame Alina said rudely. "That concludes today's announcements. Have a wonderful day!" Then quietly walked out of the room.

"Do you know where your new classes are?" Audrey maturely asked.

Bec and Peggy nodded. Bec actually did not and she was sure that Peggy was going to skip class again.

...

"Finally." Bec huffed walking to lunch. The day was a boring blur (that's how she felt about every school day but this one had new slightly more interesting smudges).

She sighed. The day wasn't over and it felt like it never would be. Bec fell to the ground.

"Sorry was I in your way?" She asked. Bec looked at who bumped into her. She cleaned the non existent dirt off her clothes. It was the girl from that morning. Bec's eyes widened and she froze.

"No, no, I'm sorry I should've been paying attention to where I was going." The brown eyed girl looked like she felt bad.

That was confirmed when she touched Sophie; the emotion she thought she was feeling became clear it wasn't hers.

Bec blinked. That isn't supposed to happen. I have to touch her to feel it. That's how being an empath works. Bec felt a feeling when she wasn't touching Sophie then when she touched Sophie she realized that the feeling that she thought she was feeling was what Sophie was feeling (just in case it wasn't clear) Also this wasn't random.

Bec stared at the floor thinking for a possible reason she could feel the blonde's emotions without touching her.

"Sorry I should—" the girl named Sophie got interrupted by Bec.

"Wait, are you, are you an orphan?" Bec asked, slightly hopeful. The mood dropped low. "Sorry, that was a bad question... I just wanted to tell you I am. My name's Bec, by the way."

"Yeah. I was adopted by Tiergan." Sophie replied.

Bec nodded and knew it was time to go. She waved bye, and wondered how many of her emotions were actually hers, if any.

Truthfully, she had always felt detached from her emotions. Like she was watching behind an emparter; only able to feel sympathetic for the person she's watching, not truly feeling it.

Please review, the slower updates might be faster.

Also remember: Nothing that I put in is random but not everything is important!
