How they met was a coincidence, but some say it was destiny. The boy, carrying a smaller boy on his back. The girl, carrying her evening shopping home. They bumped into each other, mostly from the girl being a bit clumsy, but they knew it was the start of something new.

"Sorry, let me help you with that."

Even though he didn't cause her groceries to fall, he still volunteered to pick up most of them. Some box of milk here, a few oranges there, to the shopping bags they went. Still carrying someone on his back, the boy nodded his head as he began walking toward the end of the street.

"Um," before long, the girl spoke. The boy looked behind her to see the girl with her gaze to the side. The boy was good at picking up signs, especially on people's faces, so he knew she was flustered while doing so. "May I ask your name?"

"Ryo," the boy said with a smile. "Ryo Marufuji."

Without asking for the girl's name, the boy walked toward the end of the street and disappeared behind the building to their left.

"Ryo," the girl swooned.

Chris Yukine fell in love that day at the age of five years old.
