It was another day at Mahora Academy and the tomboy asked Negi for advice.
"Negi-sensei, I have something to tell you." Madoka said.
"This isn't a love confession, is it?" Negi asked.
"Of course not; I've thought about growing my hair out since I don't look much like a girl." Madoka said to her teacher.
"You're plenty feminine, I'd say. The fashion you wear as well as your personality is unique to you. Does that make sense?" Negi noted.
"I guess that makes sense. Could you please help me with my self esteem issues?" She asked.
"Sure, I'll do my best."
"Thank you Negi-sensei."
"No problem. Now what is it you want to change about yourself?"
"I want to be more confident like my friend Sakurako."
How do I do this? This is something that Asuna would have no trouble with. Negi pondered.
"The question is why do you want to be more confident in the first place?"
"It's my voice that I don't like."
"Have you considered that maybe you're trying too hard to be someone you're not? Understanding and accepting yourself for who you are is true confidence. You can be quiet or shy and still be confident. And even when someone's the loudest person in the room, that doesn't always mean they're feeling the most confident inside. I think accepting who you are and being proud of anything which makes you different is very important, there is only one version of yourself."
"Remember, avoid comparing yourself to others and celebrate your successes. These things might not always feel easy, but they can be powerful ways to help change how you think and feel about yourself. Let yourself have fun without feeling guilty, even if it's just for 15 minutes. Know your limits and don't push yourself too hard. I know you can do anything you set your mind to."
"I guess you have good points. Thanks, I feel better. See you later." She waved goodbye.
The End
