Naku sits solemnly, her legs dangling over the edge of the cliff as she gazes across the ocean and the sun slowly lowers over the horizon.

A strong wind blows, rustling the birds from the trees and making her long black locks fly.

Da da da da da da

Da da da da da da

She whispers softly into the wind, hoping it will carry the song to the ears of her love far away. A tear rolls down her cheek.

"Been waiting for so long

The winds have grown strong

The birds have come and gone, mm

I'm looking every day

But you might still be

A thousand miles away

Do you know

I'm holding on

Hoping

Looking in the distance as I sing our song"

She remembers back to the day her love left; she had been called to war. They embraced each other tightly, neither wanting to be the first to let go and savouring the feel of the warmth of the other, but eventually they had to. Without a word, Elainey picked up her shield and sword and left.

"Da da da da da da

Da da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da"

Naku's eyes drifted up to the moon that had now firmly risen in the sky, hoping that Elainey was also looking at the moon thinking of her. She wished she had something of hers to hold onto, but there was nothing except the song she sang every night waiting for her love to come back.

"You took you shield and sword

Said you have to go

Left me and went to war

Now I'm looking at the moon

Nothing left of you

But this little tune (da da da da da)

Do you know

I'm holding on

Hoping

Looking in the distance as I sing our song"

Autumn fades into winter. Winter fades into spring but the chill has not left the air. The tree branches are still bare, covered in a fine layer of ice and snow. Naku sits next to the fire, gazing out the window at the bright moon outside. Her heart aches as she's heard no word from her love and her heart is filled with worry.

"Da da da da da da

Da da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da"

Her eyes slowly start to close, the warmth and crackle of the fire slowly lulling her to sleep. She tries to fight it, wanting to be awake in case Elainey comes through the door but her eyelids just keep getting heavier and heavier. Her final thought before sleep takes her is a memory of soft warm lips on hers.

"The seasons come and go

Sun covered in snow

The trees turned into stone

My eyes are slowly closing

But I keep on hoping

Try to keep them open

Try to keep them

And just in case I miss you

Please wake me with a kiss

Would you wake me with a kiss

Would you wake me with a-"

The door opens quietly and Elainey sees Naku sleeping peacefully on the chair. A small smile graces her face at the sight of her love. She closes the door gently so as not to wake her. Carefully, she makes her way to Naku and crouches down beside her and gently brushes the hair out her face to give her a soft kiss.

Naku's eyes flutter open.

They gaze at each other for a long moment before Naku realizes she's not dreaming and throws her arms around Elainey in a fierce embrace.

"I'm home Naku"

"Welcome home"

"Da da da da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da da da da

Da da da da da da"
