"What is this place?" Devola
"This place is a network, that connects all of the recently awakened Humans" Popola
"Then how is it that we can feel, the wind on our faces and the grass under our feet," Devola says as she walks barefoot towards a nearby town.
Popola notices a small group of people walking toward her and her sister but a boy that was no older than ten runs towards her and trips, as Popola tries to catch him the boy passes through her.
Seeing this happen Devola walks toward one of the boys and tries to touch him, but she is unable to as her hand phases through the boy.
Both sisters watch as the boy's friends help him to his feet while at the same time teasing him.
They can feel the network connecting to one and then a pair, each time the network connects to one or another pair of sisters their own network grows and they can see each other's memories.
They can see the sisters walking towards them each of them looks just like them, women with the same faces and hair as theirs, but each of them is just a little bit different.
They keep walking until they all stand in front of each other, somehow the network is reactivating their systems and restoring their information.
None of them know why they were brought back only that the Humans chose to bring them here.
With nothing else to do they all start to walk towards the town and find that some of the people in it have a sign that says Observe floating over them.
Before any of them can do anything they notice a small line next to their right hand and when they touch it with their left hand, they find themselves standing next to a member of the Fuurinkazan guild as they searched for something that would restore their old bodies.
"Is this why they brought us here?" Devola asked herself
"No, they allowed us to aces their memories for a reason" Popola
"Yes, but our information is outdated or limited," Devola said as they all began to turn towards a Player that caught their interest
"We were meant to observe one project and now we are being allowed to observe another" Popola said as she held her sister's hand with one hand she reached for the window that was floating above the player's head.
The moment she touched it both sisters found themselves at the beginning, not when the death game started but at the beginning of each person's life.
They find themselves standing in a nursery filled with infant Humans.

"Klein you have a message from the other colony," Popola said to him as he moved another piece of broken, he didn't know what to call it, it was a mixture of concrete- metal, and rock.
"Okay, so what do they want?" Klein said to Popola who opened the message for him.
"Hey this is Battle Hammer, I don't know what you guys did but thanks, we needed something to help us pass the time"
"Anyway I know it's not much but here's some music, I don't know if you guys will like it but it's from my playlist."
"God who knew something so small like listening to a song that I've heard over a million times would feel so good to hear, Thanks."
Klein noticed that his help screen opened and two different playlists one that said music and the other that said background music.
"Do you want to hear something?" Devola asked him her voice sounded as if she was hoping that Klein would say yes.
Klein moved another chunk of rock and found he was glad that he was wearing his glubs, all of the rubble would have done a number on his hands.
He was stronger than he use to be, but even with his new body it didn't mean that he didn't get tired, while he did have enough strength to be able to pick up a tank, that same strength didn't transfer o everything else.
A lot of people ended up scraping their hands- faces and knees when they'd woken up and things like broken glass and sharp pieces of metal could still cut them, so he had to be careful.
"You know what it is nice to hear something besides silence or explosions," Klein said to the twins who immediately gave him a warm smile.
He stopped working for a bit so he could stretch his muscles, since his help screen was opened he could see that he had been working for hours now, it felt odd.
He knew that he should have been tired, no beyond tired he should be exhausted but he wasn't.
f he was younger and less experienced he would have just kept on working without taking some breaks because he felt as if he could keep going for hours and not feel any exhaustion at all.
He began to hear the sound of a piano playing in the background and when he turned his head the found that the twins were holding hands next to a song that they liked.
The music was cheerful yet mournful somehow, it sounded as if the person that had written it and the person that was playing it somehow tried to understand what the other was feeling.
Even as he started to move all of the rubble again, Klein could see the Devola and Popola dancing together to the music.
Battle Hammer was right, even if he wasn't a fan of classical music he had to admit that it was something he welcomed with open arms.
The song that was being played was Beethoven's Adagio, even though he knew that there was usually more to a song's name, like No2 or Bflat or something along those lines, but for whatever reason Battle Hammer had failed to add those parts to the songs name.
Again he could hear the sounds of fighting in the distance, he had to stop working the machines didn't look all that dangerous, but that was the thing they didn't look that dangerous but they were.
His first thoughts when he had seen the androids fighting the machines were that he could destroy dozens of them alone, but as he watched the androids do just that he began to understand just how dangerous the robots are.
Under normal circumstances, a person would have trouble dealing with one, but they didn't attack alone, and more often than not they would all either shoot at you or swarm you.
And these were just the ones that he had seen, who knew what else they could do again everything became quiet but this time he found that the silence didn't last as the sounds of clanking feet reached his ears.
Klein moved to hide behind the piles he had made hoping that nothing noticed him and for a moment he hoped that his friends were okay.
Each of them was going to do the same thing, either they would find Devola and Popola's doubles and weapons that still had their consciousness in them or they would find one of the factories that made them.
The music had stopped now and glanced at the system menu, he noticed that there were more Devola and Popolas now, each one of them.
He didn't know what they were doing only that they all appeared in front of him and then vanished into the network, he knew that he should as the twins what exactly they were doing in there, but he chose not to, he honestly didn't care right now.
There was a new option someone had added something or someone called 9s to the network, but Klein chose not to look into it, right now he had to concentrate on hiding.
So he closed his eyes and listened, he listened to the robots' clanking sound and how they seemed to shortcircuit every once in a while, but overall he listened to the silence.
It felt peaceful, this world was a lot like Aincrad, but it wasn't, here things that could break would, and it wasn't like had any do-overs.
As far as he knew, if he died then that was it he died, no coming back this time, after all, there were supposedly two other groups and they had all died.
The clanking sounds had stopped which meant that either the robots had left the area or they had just stopped moving, Klein hoped that they had left either way he had to look.
As he peeked to see if it was safe to come out he found that the entire place was empty, it was time to get back to work.
