AN: Written for Rare Pair February.
On one side of the Dupain-Cheng sofa sat Kagami Tsurugi. On the other sat Alya Cesaire
. And in the middle sat a very happy Marinette, her face glowing with happiness. In fact, all three girls looked very happy as they sat there, with Alya holding one hand and Kagami holding the other. Alya's face was bright and her eyes were dancing. Kagami's joy was more subtle. A small smile that would have been easily missed by those who didn't know her and her eyes were quietly alight.
"Mam, papa...there's something that I-" She paused and looked at Kagami and then Alya. "Something we need to tell you."
Tom and Sabine exchanged glances, before giving her reassuring smiles.
"You know that you can tell us anything dear," she said and Marinette swallowed nervously.
"Well...I'm dating Alya now. And Kagami," she said, looking at both her girlfriends in turn.
"Yeah, turns out that we both like Marinette here. She's the perfect combination of sweet and strong," Alya said, looking lovingly at Marinette and then Kagami. "And Kagami is so awesome. How could someone not fall for them both?"
"Your daughter has many admirable qualities. She is both as strong as steel, yet as gentle as silk," Kagami added and Marinette felt her face warm up. "And Alya is brave and expressive?" Kagami frowned as she tried to think of a more appropriate word. "Yes, I believe expressive is the word I think."
"It doesn't hurt that Marinette and Kagami here are absolutely gorgeous," Alya added and Marinette blushed even harder. Kagami however smiled.
"Thank you Alya," she said. "You too are an extremely attractive girl as well."
For a moment, all three girls gazed lovingly at one another. Tom and Sabine exchanged smiles, before looking back at the three girls. Sabine quickly snapped a photo on her phone.
"Errr... well it's unusual, but...as long as you're happy and..." Tom awkwardly put his hand between his shoulders.
"You have our complete support dear," Sabine finished with a smile. Tom nodded.
"If there's anything we can do to help," he said awkwardly, unsure how to continue.
"Thank you," Kagami said as she looked at them both. "We are grateful for your support."
"Thank you mama and papa!" Marinette said excitedly, leaping off the sofa to hug them both together.
"Thanks," Alya said with a smile and all three girls internally sighed with relief.

Tomoe Tsurugi was probably one of the most intimidating people Alya had ever met. The woman exuded power greater than anyone she had ever met. If it wasn't for Kagami, Alya would probably have avoided her entirely.
The three girls stood in the lobby of the Tsurugi offices in Paris. It was a wide, empty sterile place of glass and steel, decorated with a few wall hangings from Japan. Tomoe Tsurugi stood in front of them, giving an impression that she was looking right through them, into their souls and judging them all to be inadequate. It was an impressive feat for someone who was clearly blind.
"Mother, I have something that I wish to tell you," Kagami said with a slight bow. Tomoe turned and looked at her.
"What is it?" she asked in a clear, calm voice as Kagami averted her eyes.
"Mother, I wish to introduce you to my girlfriends," Kagami said with a bow. "You are familiar with my friend Marinette Dupain-Cheng and I have met her best friend Alya Cesaire through her."
Tomoe nodded, apparently unfazed by her daughter's announcement.
"We are dating mother, the three of us," Kagami said. That did inspire a reaction from Tomoe. A tiny flicker of surprise crossed her face.
"Dating," she said in a flat voice. "I do not understand. You are being greedy and I did not bring you up like this."
"That's not true!" Marinette protested. "It's not greed, it's love." Marinette paused and looked Tomoe in the eye. "Kagami is an amazing girl and a credit to you as a parent. She is beautiful, tough and smart!"
"And she deserves the best!" Alya added quickly, her voice raising slightly. "Seriously, these two girls are amazing. And you daughter needs her freedom. There's more to life than just business and swords!"
Tomoe actually chuckled with a slight hint of amusement.
"You are quite passionate about my daughter, are you not?" she said, her voice hinting at signs of amusement. Marinette and Alya stood firm, unwilling to be driven away by this. They were not intimidated however and Tomoe smiled. "I feel safer knowing that her lovers are capable of defending her from all kinds of threats."
"Mother, I would know your answer. I would ask for your blessing on our relationship," Kagami said and Tomoe sighed.
"Love is a weakness," she said with a slight hint of annoyance. "However, you would not be persuaded otherwise. You may have my blessing if that is what you desire." She paused and frowned slightly. "I will struggle to understand what you are doing, but you are twenty-one years old and your future lies before you."
Marinette opened her mouth to speak, but Kagami stopped her,
"Thank you mother," she said in a very straightforard tone of voice, "I am grateful for your blessing."
"Your relationship is most unusual. Others will choose to use it against you. I expect you to inform me as to your decision when you make your choice."
"Mother, I have made my choice," Kagami said firmly. "I choose them both."
"We will see," was all her mother would say, before walking away.

After the response from Tomoe Tsurugi, it was with some trepidation that they approached the Césaire family. There wasn't a good reason for them to be worried. Alya's family were supportive and loving of their middle daughter. Of all their daughters really. (Although her father did joke that he was outnumbered.)
What none of them expected was to see various members of the Césaire family to start exchanging money.
"I do not understand," Kagami said with a puzzled expression on her face. "Is this normal for families from Martinique?"
"Oh no dear," Marlena Césaire said with a smile. "It's just that we've all been betting on which one of you two young ladies Alya would date." She looked at her daughter. "It's been obvious that you've had a crush on Marinette since you met her in Collège Françoise Dupont." She looked at Marinette. "I was betting on you dear. It's been obvious that you've been attracted to her on some level from the start as well."
Marinette eeeped and turned redder than her Ladybug suit.
"Please. The way that Alya's been talking about Kagami here, it was only a matter of time before she hooked up with her," Nora said, clasping Kagami on the shoulder, before looking at Marinette. "You just cost me thirty Euros Baguette."
"Not her fault you all bet wrong," Alya's twin sisters said in unison as they pocketed a lot of money. They looked at the three girls who looked slightly dumbfounded. "We bet that you three would all date together. We're the only ones who did." They grinned two identical grins. "We won a lot of money because of you."
"I can't believe that you bet on our love life," Alya grumbled and Marlena gave her daughter a bright smile.
"Oh no dear. We only bet on your love life," she said and Kagami laughed at the expression on Alya's face.
"Anyway, now that's the other stuff sorted. Welcome to the family!" her father said and all three girls smiled.
AN: The last bit was inspired by the fic A Cat, a Fox and a Bee walk into a Bakery by SsilverStreak. It's also shorter as I'm actually running out of time and energy.
