REGAINED PASSION
Hello everyone...Nice to be here with you again...This story may not be everyone's cup of tea and I totally understand that. It is a reaction to the news and spoilers that leaked this week about the new movie. Those of you who know me, are aware how disappointed am I, that Chelsie is apart, so immediately there was an idea in my head that I just had to use...I haven't seen the movie yet, so what I'm about to put here, may not be in compliance with the events from the movie, but I'm not able to wait any longer, simply have to write it now.
Story summary: This story may contain SPOILERS. Don't read it if you haven't seen the movie yet and you don't want spoilers. After Charles returns from France, he experiences Elsie's jealousy. Will he be able to convince her that she has nothing to worry about?
Legal note: I do not own any of the DA characters, I'm simply giving them something more exciting than the author.
Charles was so happy that he came back home. It was nice to visit France and experience something totally different, than he experienced living in England all his life, however his nature could not be denied. He was a true Englishman in every meaning of this word and however much he could like what he saw and experienced there, the nicest moment of all was when he came back home.
The weather, the food and generally everything didn't meet his approval. South of France with it's sunny weather was a beautiful place, but he liked the rain, the wind and the stoic and a little melancholic climate of England.
Now everything seemed much more wonderful here than ever...Tonight when they were dining at the servants hall of the Abbey, he and all the rest of the staff, who was with him in France, were flooded with questions from the ones that had to stay here.
The travelers were in the center of attention tonight and he loved how they were admiring his tan. It was probably the first time in his life, when he was that tanned and when he was looking in the mirror, he had to say that the effect was quite good, even though he was never a vain man.
He liked that he had some new and exciting experiences, that he could share with the staff. However during dinner, he was a little confused by Elsie's behavior. She seemed distant, if not cold, her rare smiles seemed forced and she certainly looked like she wasn't enjoying the fact that her husband came back home..
In the beginning he thought, that maybe it was because she was tired after all the confusion with the silent movie that's been going on here. But as soon as he noticed, that she barley looked at him and that she didn't even exchange one sentence with him by the table, he knew, that something was wrong...Very wrong...
When they finally made it through dinner and they came back to the cottage, Elsie was still the same... Charles felt puzzled by this situation, but he decided, that he will talk with her later about that.
He gladly went through all the routine of unpacking and taking a bath...Glancing at himself in the mirror with satisfaction...One very naught thought has entered his mind- will Elsie like his tan as much as he did? He was hoping that she will, as she was the only one besides him, who was entitled to see all of it...
He smiled to himself and joyfully left the bathroom, going to the bedroom...When he entered, Elsie was just putting her dress to the wardrobe, on the hanger and she was standing back to him...He crept towards her and wrapped his arms around her midsection and put his nose into her hair...He missed the smell of her hair...He missed her...He wanted to be close to her tonight...
Unfortunately, as soon as he hugged her, he felt that her muscles tensed and she was trying to get out of his embrace...He was now seriously worried and knew, that he couldn't wait anymore to clarify the causes of her behavior...
"Elsie what's the matter with you? I thought that you will be glad to see me back and you are acting like you are not...What's wrong?"
"Nothing Charles...Everything is fine...You are imagining something.."
"Elsie, please don't be like that...I've watched you all evening..You barely spoke to me and you looked like you were displeased about my presence..What happened, please tell me...?"
"You were so preoccupied with telling your wonderful France adventures to others, that I thought you didn't care about me..."
"How can you say that Elsie? You know that I care about you...I've missed you...All the time I was in France, I was thinking about you and I missed you..."
"Have you indeed? That's not what I heard..."
"What do you mean?"
"You know very well what do I mean...You say you missed me...That you were thinking about me.. Did you miss me, when you were buying a hat protecting you from the sun? Did you miss me, when you were cheerfully chatting with Lady Bagshaw? Or maybe you missed me when the shop seller thought that you two were married, or maybe you were so flattered by the idea, that you forgot about my existence? So how was it Charles Carson, come on, tell me, how much you missed me then!..."
Charles shrank internally...He already knew, how Elsie behaved, when she was turning into a Scottish dragon and even though she didn't do it very often, he was always afraid of that moment...Now, he was additionally wondering, how did she know about the situation, that actually happened in France, the situation, that he really almost forgot about, because it was so insignificant for him...
"Elsie, who told you that? How do you know about it?"
"What difference does it make? Is that the most important thing for you now? How do I know about it?"
"No, but I'm just so surprised...Because I didn't think, that there was a witness of that event.."
"There was, but I'm not going to tell you who, because I don't want you to take the blame on that person...What do you have to say about it, is what I'm curious about?"
"Elsie...There is nothing to say...I had a sun burnt in France, because my skin is not used to such strong sun and I wanted to buy a hat...I went to the local shop and Lady Bagshaw was there by accident...She was kind enough to help me pick the hat and that's all...We didn't even go back together to the villa.."
"Oh really? What about that shop seller, who thought that you were married?"
"It was simply a mistake from his side Elsie...It could happen to anyone...Why are you that upset Elsie?"
"Because I don't like the idea that my husband is going to the south of France and spends time with some other woman, even if she is a Lady..."
"Elsie...You are jealous...Admit it!"
"I'm not...! I just..."
"You are and that tickles my pride nicely...Elsie...What?"
Suddenly Charles was with a loss of words, when he saw, that Elsie had tears in his eyes...Suddenly, the situation which he thought was funny, has turned into something that made his heart broken...He understood, that it was not a joke for Elsie and that she really felt threatened by this...
He took her in his arms instantly and kissed her face..All over it, reassuring her, how much he loved her...But he knew, that it wasn't enough...
"Elsie...It was nothing, really...It didn't even matter to me at all...I would probably tell you this all by myself, but I didn't even have time...I wasn't aware that this hurt you so much.."
"I'm sorry Charles...I'm not even sure why I reacted that way...Maybe because I love you so much and the very thought of you and some other woman...Even this ludicrous as this, made me mad...I couldn't bear a thought of losing you...I know that it's silly and..."
"It's not silly Elsie...It melts my heart to know, that you love me so much...Because I love you even more and every time that you are talking to some other man, for example in the church, I'm jealous and angry...But you have nothing to worry about...You are my treasure, my whole world..."
"And you didn't like the idea of being a husband of Lady Bagshaw? Even for this one moment, in the shop?"
"No Elsie...Not even for a moment...Lady Bagshaw, as nice woman as she is, although to tell you the truth, she is not always nice, is not a competition for you..."
"She is not?"
"How could she be Elsie? She is not very attractive woman and this is mildly speaking...While you Elsie...You are the most beautiful woman that I have ever known and my darling wife...Even the finest aristocrat, will never be so precious for me as you are...Never...Oh my sweetheart...I've missed you..."
Charles started to kiss her face again, putting so much tenderness to each kisses...He was truly amazed by Elsie's reaction, because until now, he always known her as extremely reserved and inhibited...
She was a personification of common sense and as much as he liked it in everyday life, he wasn't necessary fond of it, when it came to their love life- he would prefer her to show her feelings to him more openly and with much more excitement... Now, he finally saw the Elsie that he always wanted to see...Loving, jealous, wife, who let him know, how much she loved him and how much she was afraid to loose him..
His lips were kissing her face gently, not omitting any part of it and when he finally put his lips on hers, he felt like almost instantly, she has deepened the kiss and made it much more passionate than usual. At least much more passionate, than their kisses were recently...
This kiss resembled the ones that they've shared in the beginning of their marriage, but somehow, they seemed to lost this passion somewhere along the way...Now it came back with a doubled force and Charles didn't want to miss this moment, or he didn't want Elsie to came back to her usual self..
So without further hesitance, he lifted her and carried her to bed...Undressing her slowly and touching her body lovingly, which met with her full approval, expressed by louder and louder moans...
Elsie didn't want to stay behind, so she was hastily undressing Charles too and she sighed with admiration, when she saw his tanned body...He was so handsome...She has never seen him that way before, but now, she already decided, that she will force him to get tanned every summer...His tan combined with his silver hair, made a mixture that caused thrills of excitment in her...
Now she was the one who took control over their kisses and caresses...She kissed that special place behind his ear, that always made him groan in that special way that she liked so much...She hasn't done it for such a long time and she was wondering why...Since it made him so happy...
She was running her hands through his body, enjoying his softness and inhaling that unique scent, which she always considered as the essence of masculinity in her mind...There wasn't any man in this world, who was able to evoke such wild desires in her, like her husband- Charles Carson and she was wishing now, that they have lost their passion somewhere along the way, being married for three years now...
But it was not a good time to analyze now, it was a good time to show her husband how much she still loved and desired him and he soon found that out, when he felt the impatient lips of his wife, traveling all over his body...
He was moaning and whispering something, which he wasn't even quite sure what it was, but it really didn't matter now...Nothing mattered now, except Elsie giving him her love, in a way that he almost forgot about...
It was like that in the beginning of their marriage, but later, as time progressed and duties, problems and his uneasy character, often unabled her to love him and to show him her passion...
This time their foreplay really lasted very long and they were thorn between the will of prolong it as much as they could and the burning desire to connect fully...After a while, the second one won and soon Charles was inside Elsie, rocking their bed much more violently than usual, which neither of them seemed to mind...
Elsie certainly didn't...She was loud and vocal about her current state...She held him tightly, when he was in her, one of her hands was gently caressing his back and the other one she was running through his thick, silver hair, just the way he liked it the best..
They were whispering words of love to one another, between heated and hungry kisses and very soon, Elsie climaxed in his arms, as intensely and powerful, as she used to do in the beginning of their marriage, when they went through the faze of uncertainty and began to enjoy their mutual bliss...
Charles only managed to think, that he would want to keep that version of Elsie forever and he climaxed himself, moaning her name and feeling like he totally lost control...
He collapsed on her, exhausted, but utterly happy...He gently slide off her, but she didn't let him go far away...She needed to be close to him and he understood that need fully...He wanted the same thing...
When they regained their breaths, Elsie still wanted to prove him, how much he meant to her and she awarded him with soft, sweet kisses, going from the middle section of his chest up...She was nibbling him and he loved it...He reciprocated, doing the things that she adored..He kissed her temples and gently massaged her hair, because he knew, how it helped her to relax...Not that there was any need for that now, because they were both extremely relaxed, but he wanted to give her everything he got from her tonight and even more...
There wasn't more than five minutes, when she fell asleep in his arms, soothed and reassured, of his enormous love for her...
When she woke up the next morning, she heard him making breakfast in the kitchen, humming, which almost never happened...Intrigued by that, she went downstairs, just to find her husband wearing her apron and serving full English brekfast to her...
She couldn't hide her smile at this view...
"Good morning Charlie...Mmm...What is happening here?"
"Good morning my sweetheart...I thought, that I would get up early and make you a delicious breakfast...I'm so cheerful today..."
"I can see...Any particular reason for that?"-Elsie asked, with a flirtatious tone in her voice..
"You know that reason very well my little temptress..."
Charles kissed her ,wrapping her arms tightly...For a moment, they were all focused on indulging themselves with their tenderness...
"You know Elsie...I just have one reflection after last night..."
"And what is that reflection?"
"That I will willingly go to France and let Lady Bagshaw to help me with my wardrobe again, if it means such wonderful greeting..."
"Charles Carson, don't you even dare to...! If I will see you with Lady Bagshaw in some other situation, than pouring her a glass of wine, I will...!"
"No need to finish this sentence Elsie!"-Charles lifted Elsie in his arms and he spun with her around the room..."You will never see me with her again, because even if she tried, she could never replace the most wonderful woman in the world- Elsie Hughes Carson...You are the one and only and that's how it always will be..."
Elsie felt her eyes glistened, after hearing those beautiful words, coming straight from the loving heart, of her dearest husband...She knew, she was the winner here and that's how it always will be..Till the end of their life...
Yup. That's all for this story...Matched played out. Elsie-1 point, Lady Bagshaw-0 :D Sorry if it offends some of you, but I needed to get this out of my chest..Those of you who already seen the movie or spoilers, probably know about the famous Carson-Lady Bagshaw scene, that I personally hate...I know that Jim and Imelda are married in real life, however I do not see a reason for bringing that to Downton Abbey. I'm not Imelda fan, so for me her presence in the first movie was already a problem, but now, I'm even more convinced that she spoiled Chelsie magic and it really wasn't necessary...That's only my opinion, you don't have to agree with that, but I always say how I feel...Regardless of what other people think about it. So...This is my own, private version, of what I would like to see in the movie, but never will...If you liked it, please let me know, if you hated it, you can also let me know, but in a polite way :D Take good care of yourselves and your families. See you soon!
