Tuntun's eyes almost popped out of her head at how casual everyone was being not only because an entire city was wiped out but they also knew what she was and didn't care. "I'm just a regular kid." she lied. "My parents were from Ginger Town."
"It's okay, Tuntun," ChiChi smiled. "You don't have to hide who you are from us."
Tuntun shoved her chair back and got to her feet. "Who are you people?!" she cried angrily. "What the f-" she caught herself before cursing, her head snapping to Gohan and then back to the two women. "What happened out there?! Where am I and how did I even get here?!"
Bulma and ChiChi side glanced at each other with worry. "We don't know yet." Bulma replied. "We're waiting for Piccolo and the others to come back. Piccolo found you and brought you here."
"Ok, I can't be here." the short teen blurted out with frustration and headed for the door.
Gohan got up from his chair wanting to go after her but ChiChi held out a hand to stop him. "She just needs some time. She'll come around."
Flinging the door open, it didn't take Tuntun long to realize she was on the smallest island on the planet and had nowhere to go. Doing a full circle around the house, she fell to the sand out of breath and on the verge of tears again. All she could do was let out an emotionally loaded scream.
-
It felt like an eternity passed as Tuntun sat with her knees to her chest on the beach, a pitiful mess as she silently cried. Her heart was shattered, all she wanted was to be in Cypress's arms again where she felt safe.
She heard a distant flapping in the distance and the most unusual visitor landed next to her in the sand. It was a huge, dark purple albatross. The large bird stretched it's wings a little before hopping over to her.
"Hey, get lost." Tuntun snapped, trying to shoo it away. "I don't have anything to give you."
It argued with a few squawks of defiance and settled next to her in the sand.
"Fine." the teen huffed, wiping away the tears on her cheeks. "Not like today can get any weirder."
She sighed as she watched the tide at her feet. The sounds of the ocean was soothing, she had never seen one, never even been to a beach for obvious reasons. All these years in hiding, she was wondering if it was even worth it now.
Her stomach let out a loud growl when the strong aroma of food cooking wafted toward her. She was starving and in a desperate need of a shower to get all the dried blood off. Tuntun got to her feet, paying no mind to her new companion who hopped to its feet as well, and brushed the sand off her legs before heading inside.
When she heard the bird following, she looked over her shoulder at it angrily, bend down to pick up a stone and threw it. "Piss off, bird! What is your malfunction?!" All she managed to do was scare it into a nearby tree but it never left the island. Shaking her head at the animal, she entered the house quietly.
"There you are." ChiChi stated with a big bowl of rice in her hands. "Why don't you wash up and help Gohan set the table."
"Yes, Ma'am." she replied shyly. "Um-"
"Bathroom is up the stairs, first door on your right." Bulma cut in, nodding towards the stairs as she helped her friend with the meal.
"Thank you."
After doing her best to wash her face and hands, she did what was asked of her and helped Gohan with the plates. The spread of food in the middle of the table looked like it could feed an entire army and it all looked delicious.
"You're gonna like my mom's cooking, she's the best on the planet!" Gohan said with pride and sat at his seat ready for his meal.
Tuntun had no doubts if the food tasted as good as it looked. The four ate together in silence as Gohan and Tuntun shoveled food into their mouths at Saiyan speed, bowls and plates piling up fast.
The teen leaned back with a satisfied sigh, feeling the energy come back to her. She already felt better.
"That was very good, ChiChi, thank you." said Tuntun with a grateful smile.
"It's always a pleasure." she smiled, taking the empty plates from the table.
"I'm-sorry about earlier." Tuntun blurted out. "I'm still trying to process everything, I'd rather not talk about..certain things."
"We understand." Bulma nodded. "But if you ever want to talk to anyone, we're here for you."
"I appreciate that." she replied sadly, unable to look at Bulma for a moment.
"It's Mr. Piccolo!" Gohan cried in excitement and bolted for the door.
"Good they're finally back." Bulma sighed with relief and followed Gohan.
Tuntun was the last out of the house when a whole group of people landed on the sand. Landed how?! Were they just flying?! She stood a good distance away from the group unsure if she was intruding or not and to make her more obvious, that damn bird flew next to her again, turning everyone's head.
"Look what you did." she hissed, shoving the bird away with the side of her foot.
"Hey, kid, come over here. The others want to meet you." Bulma waved her over.
