"Mmm," Hiroki hummed as he was slowly roused by a soft touch on his cheek. His one eye that wasn't buried in his pillow slowly peeled open, revealing the smiling face of Nowaki.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" Nowaki asked softly. Hiroki murmured incoherently into his pillow, sighing.

"Mm'yeah."

"Sorry. I couldn't help it. I've been staring at you for almost an hour, and I couldn't stop myself from touching you."

"Idiot…" Hiroki mumbled. He shut his eye again and shuffled closer to Nowaki, who stroked the side of his face and brushed back his downy locks of chestnut hair.

"You're so beautiful, Hiro-san," Nowaki whispered. Hiroki furrowed his eyebrows as he felt Nowaki's lips press to his eyelid.

"So… last night wasn't a dream?" Hiroki asked tiredly. Nowaki chuckled, his low voice vibrating the bed.

"No, it definitely wasn't a dream."

"Good… I'm so glad that the stupid concert is done. This is the first Saturday that I can just relax at home all day," Hiroki said, snuggling into his pillow. Nowaki hummed in content and rubbed Hiroki's baby bump. Hiroki blushed and tucked his chin in, hoping to hide his contorted face from Nowaki. "Did… did we get engaged last night?"

"Yes, Hiro-san," Nowaki breathed. Hiroki felt his blush spread to his chest, and he slowly rolled onto his back. He brought up his left hand and hovered it above his face. Sure enough, the engagement ring was still there, glittering and shimmering in the dim light. Nowaki reached out and took Hiroki's hand, bringing it down and moving himself so his face hovered over his little fiancé's.

"Oh man, we must have been wasted," Hiroki said, shyly averting his gaze. Nowaki chortled.

"No, Hiro-san. We were completely sober. Now, can you stop bruising my ego and kiss me?"

Hiroki returned his gaze to his idiot fiancé. He sighed exasperatedly, but smiled despite himself. He wrapped his arms around Nowaki's neck and giggled breathily as he was pressed back into his pillows. They kissed softly at first, but after a while, things got heated, and Nowaki had to brace himself with a hand on either side of Hiroki's head. He shifted, moving so his tongue had a good angle to enter Hiroki's mouth.

"Ahn," Hiroki breathed, tangling his hands in Nowaki's hair and scratching his scalp. He felt his manhood begin to stir, and he arched his back into the kiss.

But then, the baby kicked irritably at his ribs. Hiroki gasped and wrenched himself away from Nowaki, his lips reddened and moist as a trail of saliva broke between his and Nowaki's mouths. He was about to apologize when his stomach positively roared at him. Nowaki blinked down at him as Hiroki laughed nervously in embarrassment.

"Eh… was that your stomach?" Nowaki asked stupidly. Hiroki rolled his eyes and pursed his lips.

"No, it was the baby. Of course it was my stomach," Hiroki snapped. Then he snorted at himself and craned his neck to kiss the side of Nowaki's mouth. "As much as I'd like to spend the whole day in bed with you, I haven't had anything to eat since six 'o clock last night."

Nowaki laughed and sat up.

"Hiro-san, I love you," Nowaki announced cheerfully. As Hiroki sat up tiredly in bed, rubbing his eyes, Nowaki pranced about, retrieving clothes for him. Hiroki found it quite comical, with his half-hard member bouncing around, but he didn't say anything. Instead he held his left hand with his right, twisting the ring on his finger and watching as it glittered in the light. His eyes then rested on a rose petal on the floor. Laughing, he pointed to it.

"Hey, Nowaki, what were those rose petals on the bed for last night?" Hiroki asked.

"Hm?" Nowaki answered, peeking out from the closet door. "Oh. Well, after the nursery was finished I thought that you'd probably be speechless with happiness, so I put rose petals on the bed. I had this whole foreplay plan in mind, but I couldn't really stop myself last night."

"I wasn't 'speechless with happiness'," Hiroki snapped, blushing furiously. Nowaki laughed within the depths of the closet.

"Trust me, you were. You were blushing down to your toes."

"Whatever," Hiroki said quietly. Nowaki emerged from the closet, a bundle of clothes in his arms.

"Here you go, Hiro-san," Nowaki said, handing Hiroki his maternity sweatpants and a burgundy long-sleeved shirt.

"Thanks, Nowaki," Hiroki said, sliding out of bed and pulling on a pair of boxers. He stood up, but Nowaki immediately barreled into him and pushed him back down onto the bed.

"Hiro-saaaan," he cooed, tickling Hiroki's sides.

"Ah! Get off of me, you brat!" Hiroki barked, trying to shove Nowaki off of him and failing to do so as he laughed.

"Oh, Hiro-san, I can't help it. I just love you so much…" Nowaki said, nipping on Hiroki's jaw. Hiroki pursed his lips and reached down in between them.

"Bad idea to tickle me when you're naked," Hiroki said. He smirked as he grabbed Nowaki's member and squeezed. Nowaki squeaked.

"Okayokayokayokay, okay! I'm getting off!" Nowaki begged. Hiroki laughed and released him, allowing him to get to his feet.

"You're a dumbass."

They finished getting dressed, and they walked out of the bedroom together. Hiroki paused at the door to the guest room, staring inside. Eventually, Nowaki had to take his hand and drag him away. Nowaki made him biscuits and gravy for breakfast, much to his delight.

"Do you have work today?" Hiroki asked, absentmindedly pushing a piece of sausage around his plate.

"Just for a few hours. I have to run in and make sure my patients have their medications and supplied for Sunday," Nowaki said. Hiroki sighed. "I know you get bored, love. But tomorrow I can spend all day with you, alright?"

Hiroki looked up at smiled.

"No, it's fine. I'm glad you care so much about your patients," Hiroki said, leaning his head against his hand and gazing up adoringly at his fiancé. "If being bored for a few hours means that it'll save lives, then that's fine by me."

Nowaki smiled and walked up to Hiroki, caressing his cheek.

"I'm so happy, Hiro-san."

Hiroki put his hand over Nowaki's on his cheek and nuzzled into his warm palm.

"Me too."

They were able to spend time together for another hour or so before it was time for Nowaki to leave.

Hiroki unwillingly walked out into the entryway to meet up with Nowaki at the door, his fiancé's black bag in hand.

"Here's your bag," Hiroki said. Nowaki turned around, wrapping his scarf around his neck.

"Thanks," he said, taking the bag. He put his hand on the doorknob, but didn't make a move to turn it. There was a prolonged silence, and Hiroki began to blush.

"Wh-What is it?" he asked nervously. Nowaki looked over his shoulder, chuckling nervously.

"Eh… I don't want to leave… just yet," he said, sheepishly turning around and scratching the back of his head. Hiroki pinched his lips together.

"Y-You're an idiot," he muttered. Nowaki shrugged.

"Uh… yeah, haha. That's me."

They stood before each other awkwardly, averting their eyes.

"Um… I'll see you later, Hiro-san," Nowaki said after a long pause. He turned away and twisted the doorknob. Before he could open it, however, Hiroki shot forward and grabbed his forearm. Nowaki turned around once more, his eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Uh…" Hiroki trailed off, his hand faltering. He shyly wrung his hands. "S-Sorry. Um… I… uh… have a good day!

Hiroki blushed furiously, humiliated. He clenched his fists and looked down. His face was brought back up by a warm hand on his chin. Nowaki stared down at him, his ebony brows furrowed.

"I'm sorry. I know you don't like goodbye kisses, but…" Nowaki didn't finish his sentence, and instead cupped Hiroki's face in his hands. He kissed his little fiancé, his lips desperate. Hiroki didn't hesitate and returned the kiss, resting his hands on Nowaki's chest.

"I love you… love you," Nowaki whispered over and over between kisses, the ends of his words smothered by Hiroki's lips. Hiroki fisted his hands in Nowaki's turtleneck sweater, arching his body into his fiancé.

And then it was over, and they reluctantly pulled away. Nowaki frowned sadly down at Hiroki, reaching up to thumb his soft cheek.

"It'll only be a few hours," he murmured. Hiroki pouted and leaned his forehead into Nowaki's chest.

"Ugh… you've turned me into a sappy idiot," Hiroki muttered.

"Is it safe for me to think that you're saying that you're going to miss me while I'm gone?" Nowaki asked softly. Hiroki flushed scarlet.

"Shut your mouth. Is it so wrong to want to spend time with my new fiancé? Don't judge me, idiot."

"I'm not, Hiro-san. I want to spend more time with you, too."

Hiroki glanced up at Nowaki, his cheeks burning. He tugged lightly on Nowaki's shirt, and he wasn't left waiting. Nowaki took his face into his warm hands once more to kiss him.

"I'll be home soon," Nowaki whispered as he pulled away. He lifted Hiroki's left hand and pressed a kiss to his engagement ring. "I love you."

He gave Hiroki one last longing glance before turning away. He kept holding Hiroki's hand until the door was open, and as he walked out, he finally released Hiroki's hand. Hiroki watched him leave, ignoring the cold. Nowaki shuffled backwards down the terrace before slowly turning away and disappearing down the staircase.

"I love you, too," Hiroki breathed.

And he slowly shut the door.
