That day both Nick and Judy got up very early, looking forward to the event that would forever entwine their souls - the wedding. On that day, Judy and Nick had organised hen and stag parties to have one last party before the event. While Judy didn't drink much and invited a dozen of her best friends to party culturally, Nick organised a specific party inviting a group of friends drinking heavily. They spent those nights in their family homes (tradition required that the people who were to get married should not see each other earlier in the day than in church).

Nick

Nick got up with a slight headache, the amount of alcohol he had taken last night had given a toll on the fox, but his excitement about marrying this beautiful rabbit meant that this pain did not bother him. Nick was also cranky. He had never shown more emotion to anyone than a modest smile , and now he would be getting married, to someone he had met less than a month ago. This case of the otter that went missing was turning out to be the best detective case for Nick ever. And probably not only for him. When Fox got up and stretched himself, he went downstairs, where his parents were waiting for him and had prepared a nutritious breakfast for him. They looked at him with such pride. They were probably never so happy about their son, who would become a real man that evening. Fox greeted his parents and then started to eat his breakfast. His irritation was noticed by his father, who decided to talk to his son in private.

"Caroline, will you leave us alone for a while?" asked Nick's father winking at his mother to make sure she understood what he meant. She understood the message nodding her head, then went to her bedroom without disturbing for the men.

"Well, you're nervous aren't you?" Father Nick asked when the woman was no longer with them.

"Yes, you don't even know how much...it feels so strange..."

"Weird?" repeated his father.

"Yes...you know, I haven't shown my feelings to anyone, and now I'm going to be getting married...I'm glad, very glad! It's a special rabbit...Judy has changed my life. However, there is something in my head all the time that makes me terribly nervous...I am afraid of this attachment... what if it turns out to be unsuitable for Judy? I don't want her to suffer because of me," Nick replied as he put the food down. It was obvious that he was very nervous.

"Well son, I had the same thing. That fear of being able to cope with what you've started...I was also afraid that it wasn't for me to start a family, but you see how happy we are with our mother, believe me Nick, Judy is a great woman, we've seen that when she's been to our dinners. You two are made for each other."

"You say that ?"

"That's what I say son..." replied Nick's father putting his hand on his son's shoulder. This helped a lot for Nick. Words of support were very important for him in this situation.

"Thanks dad" said Nick smiling.

"It's your day Nick, now get dressed, Jack is probably already waiting for you" communicated Nick's father. Jack was Nick's witness, there fox was to dress in a suit and get ready for the wedding. Nick went upstairs to put on his classic clothes, a floral shirt, grey trousers and a tie. Moments later, he went downstairs, said goodbye to his parents, then drove off in his car to his witness

Judy

Judy also woke up very early, having slept little during the night, so she took some sleeping tablets to get a decent night's sleep. This day has to be perfect. Everything has to be perfect. When the rabbit woke up, she got quietly out of bed and left the house as quietly as she could, so as not to wake anyone up. She knew that her parents as well as her siblings wanted to rest, they were working hard on the farm and needed rest. But Judy did not forget about them, before she left the flat she took a piece of paper out of her notebook and started to write on it this short letter:

"Mum, Dad and of course my dear siblings. I don't really know what to write, but you can probably guess that I am terribly nervous. My parents probably know what I am talking about. I just want to thank you for everything, for being with me, for surrounding me with safety and joy, for supporting me to get where I am, and for meeting my dear, silly fox Nick. In fact, from the time Nick and I were planning this I was scared of what you guys would say about it. I saw your faces when you first saw him, I expected them, but I also thought you would chase him away. I am glad that you have realised that not every fox is bad and that mine is perfect. I couldn't have come up with someone better than Nick. There is no one like him. I can't wait until tonight when me and Nick are together forever. See you at the wedding.

Your daughter, Judy."

This letter was also heavily emotional for Judy because when she wrote it she cried a little, but from happiness. When she had written all that she wanted to, she put the note down on the table, then, like Nick, she got dressed, and drove off to her friend Anna, who was her witness.

Once at her house she noticed that there was a staff of women - make-up artists, beauticians, hairdressers.

"Hi Judy!" a rabbit friend was already standing at the door waiting for the bride

"Hi Ann" said Judy hugging her friend.

"Judy, were you crying? Aww...Nick is lucky to have met you, such a sensitive person"

"Come on Ann, this is a terribly stressful day for me " laughed Judy. Ann led Judy into the flat and she was already being looked after by the make-up women. They had a few hours to make Judy look like a fairy tale. Although to Nick, she already was.

Nick

Nick took a cold, refreshing shower at his friend's place, during which he thought things over in his head. He needed some time with himself, alone. The cold water had a relaxing effect on his body and mind, causing Nick to relax a little. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. When he finished his bath, the barber was already waiting for him, who couldn't wait to prepare the groom.

"Mr Nick? Half of Zootopia is already talking about your wedding! Congratulations, please sit down " said the barber inviting the fox to the chair. Nick obediently sat down and the barber began to do his job. His progress was watched by Jack, quietly sipping his coffee.

"So Nick tell me, who proposed? After all, I can't believe a tough guy like you could do that " laughed Jack derisively.

"Ah, you know...Judy changed me and to answer your question, yes, I was the one who asked her to marry me " replied Nick laughing and shaking his head, with the barber holding his head with his hands to make his haircut perfect.

"I can't believe it, Nick, my sneering friend, naughty turned policeman, and marries a rabbit, haha, amazing!"

"But true. Say what you want Jack, I love Judy and I don't regret us getting married, quite the opposite. I'm happy as can be!" replied Nick excitedly.

"Ok, now please don't move, and it's best not to say anything" said the hairdresser arranging a haircut for Nick.

2 hours later

After 2 hours of not moving, Nick's haircut was ready and the barber removed the apron from Nick's body.

"Hohoho! Nicki, you're like a gentleman now!" said Jack seeing the results of his work. Each of Nick's hairs was styled back to lift a little bit upwards at the back of his head, which gave an incredibly nice effect.

"Now the haircut is perfect, you can put the suit on and you're all set" said the barber looking at the results of his work, he didn't even hide his excitement.

"Ok Nick, we have about 5 hours... Judy probably isn't ready yet. Put on your suit and we'll have a chat " Jack communicated bringing from the next room a beautiful dark navy blue suit embroidered especially for the occasion.

"Wow, is that really my suit ?" asked a surprised Nick upon seeing the garment. He had never seen a nicer outfit in his life.

"Of course ! Now put it on" said Jack handing it to Nick's paws. The latter took off his shirt , then stopped.

"But you can leave right?" said Nick sarcastically.

"Oh, of course " stated Jack then retreated from the room along with the barber. Nick, left alone, put on his suit slowly trying not to crease it. He was careful with every scrap of material of the suit so it wouldn't get dirty or torn.

"All right, you can come in!" Communicated the fox , after which Jack and the barber went inside. They were both positively amazed at how beautiful Nick looked in that outfit with his haircut.

"Wow, brother, you're ready! I wonder how Judy will look..." pondered Jack as he led Nick into the kitchen.

Judy

Meanwhile, Judy had a staff of make-up artists on hand to make sure the bunny bride looked perfect. There was no question of a mistake, everything had to be perfect. And that was something that was special.

"The wedding is five hours away, are you sure you'll make it?" asked Ann looking at her watch. The clock was pointing evenly at noon.

"Take it easy. Everything is meticulously counted" said the makeup artist applying powder to Judy's face. This made Judy a little giddy, but she tried not to move. The make-up was a very important part of the decoration. The face had to be perfectly covered with makeup so that with and without the light the face looked perfect. Only then could one speak of a satisfactory effect. When Judy's face was covered with make-up, the clock showed 2.30p.m. At this hour Judy was asked to put on a dress so that there would be no problems with her hair later.

"Judy...how beautiful you look! Awww! I'll give my head that Nick can't match your decorum!" said Ann excitedly, Judy looked downright gorgeous. The white dress matched perfectly with Judy's beautiful, delicate and soft body highlighting her feminine waist.

"Thank you," blushed Judy. It was time for the hairstyle. Because she was a rabbit, hair didn't take as long as make-up. Two hairdressers stood by Judy to make sure that there were no split ends in her hair. There were moments that hurt for Judy, but what you don't do to look perfect on your wedding day. It's a once in a lifetime occasion. By the time her hair was twisted into a beautiful two braids the clock read about 3.30p.m.

"Show yourself Judy" Ann called out as she waited downstairs for her friend. When she came down she couldn't believe how beautiful her friend looked.

"You look mega ! Everyone will only look at you !"

"Don't exaggerate Ann...but thank you haha" replied Judy with a laugh.

"It's time to go to the church, the guests are already there waiting" added Ann taking the keys of her car

Church

At last the moment had arrived. The guests were already in the church waiting for the bride and groom to appear at the door, which was to come at the earliest moment. Everyone was under intense excitement, especially Nick who couldn't wait to see his chosen one. One day was enough to make the fox long for his beloved rabbit.

"Hold on, just a moment longer," Jack said in his ear standing behind him. Nick took deep breaths to calm himself, the stress of pride and impatience all causing the fox to faint a little more. At last the church gates opened , and the organ sounded. In the doorway appeared a small, petite grey creature in a beautiful white dress, who attracted all the attention of the church. It was Judy, who was slowly approaching the altar to meet her chosen one. This was the moment.

Nick couldn't believe how beautiful Judy looked and opened his mouth slightly. His gaze could not take in the sight of her. He knew he could never get enough of the sight of her shapely body. As he looked at her, he remembered how they first met. This is something crazy. Not so long ago Judy wanted to arrest Nick, in now they are getting married to each other!Soon Judy came face to face with Nick and the priest began to speak. However, the young couple didn't care. They were focused solely on each other.

"You look so beautiful Judy...I don't even know what to say" whispered Nick so that no one could hear but Judy.

"In a moment you will have to say yes...or no " replied Judy in a whisper to which Nick laughed modestly.

"Actually"

"My dear silly fox"

"My darling piss-ant rabbit."

"Do you, Nicholas Wilde, take Judy Hops to be your lawful wedded wife and pledge her undying fidelity"

Nick:"Yes."

"Do you, Judy Hops, take Nicholas Wilde to be your lawfully wedded husband and pledge to him eternal fidelity?"

Judy:"Yes."

"Put the rings on your fingers."

The witnesses handed the young couple the rings, which they placed on their shapely fingers.

"I solemnly declare you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride "

Nick was finally able to officially kiss Judy as her husband. It was an amazing first time.

"This is the most beautiful moment of my life " whispered Nick after the kiss.

"Wait for our wedding night" giggled Judy reciprocating the kiss. It was a day that would go down in their heads for the rest of their lives. It was their perfect, happiest day.

thank you for reading this short story! Consider it a prelude to something bigger...(maybe).
