Chapter 13: Meeting the Parents
Beca and Chloe were currently going through the brunette's closet in search of an outfit for dinner that night. "How fancy is this restaurant your folks picked out?" Beca asked, scratching the back of her head. Chloe's parents were in town to visit their youngest daughter, and they had invited her girlfriend to join them at dinner.
"Uh, not terribly fancy. It's not, like, a black tie establishment, but you should still dress semi-formal," Chloe answered while looking for a pair of shoes the singer could wear.
"Gotcha." Beca continued to look through her closet until her eyes landed on a dark green blazer. "What about this?" She said to Chloe, holding up the garment.
Chloe turned to see what Beca had picked out. "Damn. You'll look sexy as fuck in that, babe," she complimented her girlfriend. The redhead then walked over with a shoe, holding it up next to the blazer for comparison. "I'll go get changed soon. You're going to love what I'm wearing."
"Is that so?" Beca asked while playfully raising an eyebrow.
"Mmhm," Chloe hummed in response.
"I'm excited to see what your outfit is, then," Beca said, blowing a kiss to her girlfriend before she went to get changed herself.
Chloe walked into the bathroom, stripping out of her jeans and shirt. The actress replaced them with a beautiful yellow sundress and brown Jellypop platforms. She then added some curly waves into her hair before touching up her makeup. By the time Chloe finished up in the bathroom, Beca had finished putting on her own outfit in the bedroom. "Looking sexy, Beca," she remarked, striking a pose.
Beca turned around from the mirror she was looking in. "Talk about sexy — look at you," she said, a big smile spreading across her face as she gazed at Chloe. When Chloe came over, Beca's hands pulled her in by the hips. "How do you look incredible in everything you put on?"
"I could ask you the same thing. Everything you wear looks so good that it makes me want to take it off," Chloe replied, throwing in a wink at the end. "We better get going if we want to arrive on time," she told Beca after sweetly kissing her on the lips.
They exited Beca's apartment and hopped into her Audi. "Can you give me directions to the place, babe?" Beca asked as she buckled her seatbelt.
"Yeah, I'll just plug it into your phone." Chloe took Beca's phone and opened Apple Maps, entering the destination. Once the directions were going, she picked some music for the ride and set the brunette's phone down. Chloe found herself tapping her foot against the floor of the car as her girlfriend drove. "I'm a little nervous," she mentioned.
Steering with her left hand, Beca took one of Chloe's hands in her right. "How come?"
"I love my parents, and I know they're going to love you," Chloe started, looking out of the passenger window. "They always find a way to make me feel bad about my profession," the actress continued with a sigh.
"I know," was all Beca said at first; she needed some time to think of a proper response. "I understand how important support from family is. I've been fortunate enough to experience that for the most part, but I've also felt the same way you feel now. At a certain point, you have to become comfortable with the notion that not everyone will be your biggest fan." Beca tried to be as gentle as possible, for she wanted to respect the sensitivity of the situation. "Early on in my music career, I really struggled with wanting everyone to like what I created. My work is incredibly important to me, and I would get very hurt if someone expressed distaste for it. I eventually realized that my fears were impacting my work — I couldn't create the music I truly wanted to make while constantly worrying about others' opinions. So, I made efforts to let go of those feelings, and now I feel much more free than I did before."
Chloe wished she could say Beca's speech calmed her down a lot, but it didn't really have an effect. "Thank you," the actress stated, still tapping her foot. "I just want to get this dinner over with. The sooner they get through their judgemental rant about how I should've become a lawyer like my sister, the better." Chloe then brought Beca's hand up for a kiss. "I'm really grateful that you're going to be with me; it'll make things easier."
Beca smiled. "Good, baby. I'm glad." A few minutes later, the singer spoke up again. "If your parents do start…saying stuff, do you want me to say anything back to them? I want to make sure I'm not overstepping boundaries," she explained.
"If things do go sideways, I'll handle it. I think it will be fine, though." Chloe got a text from her parents that said they were at the restaurant. The actress leaned against the passenger seat, taking a couple deep breaths.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Otium, Beca parked in a garage next door since there wasn't much parking available on the street. She turned her car off and looked over to Chloe. "You ready?"
"I guess," Chloe replied as she opened the passenger side door. Before she got out of the car, she turned and kissed Beca. This helped her calm down a bit. When their lips parted, the redhead took another deep breath. "Now I'm ready."
Chloe's parents were already seated, so the redhead and the brunette headed straight for their table towards the rear of the restaurant. "I'm going to follow your lead because I'm not that familiar with what your parents look like," Beca said, chuckling a little.
"Sounds good," Chloe giggled. She spotted her parents' table and led Beca over there. Her mother and father both stood up when they reached the table. "Hey, Mom. Hey, Dad," Chloe said, giving her mother a hug first.
"Oh, I've missed you so much!" Chloe's mother exclaimed as she embraced her daughter.
While Chloe hugged her mother, Beca turned to the redhead's father. "Beca Mitchell. Nice to meet you," she greeted.
"Jack Beale. Nice to meet you as well," Chloe's father replied, shaking Beca's hand.
Beca then turned to Chloe's mother and introduced herself as well. "Lilly, it's a pleasure. I heard Chloe talking to you over the phone the day after the Grammys."
"That was me alright," Lilly replied, smiling at Beca.
"Should we sit?" Jack suggested after the introductions. The three women nodded, and they all sat down. A waiter came by a few minutes later to take their drink orders.
"So, Beca, Chloe tells me you're starting your own record label. How is that going?" Jack asked.
"It's going very well. I've already got a couple artists lined up to sign, and I recently purchased a building to house the label in," Beca replied, smiling as she talked. "It's going to be called Grasshopper Studios. I'm very excited about it."
Jack nodded in amazement while winking at his daughter to signal his approval. "How long have you and Beca been dating, dear?" He asked, shifting his attention to Chloe.
"I can't believe it, but it's been five months now. The time has flown by so fast," Chloe answered, stealing a quick glance at Beca. She had never been happier.
Lilly smiled and leaned back in her seat. "So, how did you guys meet again?"
Beca and Chloe knew this question would come up at some point, so they had already rehearsed an answer for it. "We met through mutual friends, actually. My publicist has known Chloe's publicist for a few years now, so they introduced us to each other. Then, I saw her at a fashion show, and we just hit it off afterwards," the singer answered.
"I haven't been this happy for a long time," Chloe stated, holding Beca's hand underneath the table.
"Neither have I," Beca said, squeezing Chloe's hand.
Their waiter then returned with their drinks and took their food orders. Once everyone had ordered, Beca turned back to Chloe's parents. "What do you guys do for a living, if I may ask?"
"Ah. Well, Jack is a family lawyer," Lilly said, sending a smile in her husband's direction. "And I'm the principal at Chloe's alma mater — East Portland High School."
"That's awesome!" Beca said enthusiastically. "I've driven through Portland a few times but never actually visited the city, which is weird since I grew up in Seattle," she mentioned with a chuckle.
"Oh, wow. Chloe didn't tell us that," Jack mentioned. "She'll have to bring you up to Portland sometime and show you around," he stated.
"I'd love that," Beca said. "I promised to show her around Seattle at some point, and I can do the same for you too if you'd like," she offered.
"Most definitely." Lilly changed the subject as their server returned with a complimentary basket of bread. "So, sweetheart, how did This Is Us finish up?" She asked Chloe.
"It finished up really well," Chloe smiled as she answered her mother's question. "Post-production is going to take a few months, but the new season should be ready to air in late September or early October," the actress said.
"That's my favorite show," Chloe's mother said. "I'm so glad that you booked it."
"She's going to be amazing in it," Beca added. "I binged watched the show over the last few months so I can be ready for the new season."
Beca nodded her head in agreement. "She's going to be amazing
Chloe blushed when Beca said this. "You didn't have to do all that, Becs."
"Yeah, I did," Beca laughed. "It would be confusing if I came in at the end of the whole story," the brunette pointed out before kissing Chloe's cheek.
"Okay, that's a fair point," Chloe giggled, putting her arm around Beca's waist.
"So, Beca," Jack said. "What got you into music in the first place?" He asked before taking a sip from his glass of wine.
"I've enjoyed music for as long as I can remember. As for creating music, I first learned piano, then I learned guitar. I began writing songs and using music software in high school. After I graduated, I moved to LA and got a job at a radio station while I started to record my original songs," Beca explained to Chloe's father. She was a little nervous while explaining to Chloe's parents. She felt a little nervous while talking about her career, as she wanted to impress Chloe's parents yet not try too hard to win their favor. "I love my job, and I'm one of the lucky people who gets to do what they love."
"You know what they say — 'do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life'," Jack referenced the famous saying. "It's great to hear that you love your work so much, Beca, and you're pretty damn good at it from what I've heard," he added genuinely.
"I actually just bought one of your EPs and your first album on CD. I've been listening to it in my office at work," Lilly mentioned with a smile on her face. "You're very talented," she complimented.
Now Beca was the one blushing. She looked over at Chloe for a moment and smiled, then looked back to Lilly and Jack. "Thank you both so much." After a brief pause, the singer continued. "Another record of mine may or may not be released in the near future," Beca implied.
Chloe's eyes went wide. "Babe! You didn't tell me that!" She exclaimed, showing her excitement for her girlfriend. "This is so great!"
Beca chuckled. "I hadn't told you yet because the album has been finished for…" she trailed off, checking the time on her phone. "...less than twelve hours. I put the last touches on this afternoon, so all that's left for me to do is put the tracks in order. Once I do that, I can submit it for distribution. I'm aiming for a release within the next couple months so I have plenty of time to promote the album," she said.
The redhead leaned over and kissed Beca's cheek. She then whispered, "We need to celebrate later," which made Beca blush more.
A few minutes later, Beca leaned in to whisper something back to Chloe. "I look forward to it."
Soon, their food arrived at the table and everyone began to dig in. "Mmm, this roasted chicken is delicious!" Lilly declared.
"So is my salmon," Beca said before taking another bite from her fish. "So, Mr. Beale, Chloe told me you're a big fan of Coldplay. I helped produce their most recent album, and Chris said he'd get me tickets whenever I want to see them. Would you like me to get tickets for you and Lilly? They're going on tour soon," the brunette commented.
Jack's jaw dropped, a bite of pork chop almost falling out of his mouth. "That would be incredible! Thank you, Beca!"
"Of course. Let me know which show you'd like to go to, and I'll make it happen," the singer stated.
"That's so nice of you to offer, Beca. It really is," Lilly chimed in.
"Oh, it's the least I can do," Beca insisted. "Your daughter has made me the happiest I've been in a long time, so this is kind of a 'thank you'." Beca glanced over at Chloe, letting her eyes linger on the redhead. "It's a 'thank you' for raising the most wonderful person I've ever met."
"And we'll have to thank your parents for raising the most wonderful girlfriend our daughter could ever have," Jack said, raising his glass of wine as if he was making a toast.
Neither Beca nor Chloe could hide the redness on their faces at this point. Dinner was going very well so far. The other three at the table all raised their glasses, cheering for the happy couple.
After the main course, the group ordered desserts. "You've got a flight to New York Thursday night, correct?" Lilly asked Chloe.
The redhead nodded. "I'll be there for a few days to audition for a film. Before that, I'll be shooting a music video with a certain singer," Chloe answered, playfully nudging Beca.
"Really? You're doing a video with Ed Sheeran?" Beca joked, earning another nudge from Chloe. "I can't wait for the video — I already have a good idea for it. It's going to be the first music video I've ever directed, actually."
"I take it the song for this video will be on your upcoming album?" Jack inquired.
"Mmhm. It'll be the next single," Beca responded, winking at Chloe.
By the time 10:00 rolled around, the group was still chatting over a bottle of wine. "And then I said to him, 'If you don't pay this bill, the bus is leaving without you tomorrow morning!'" Beca laughed as she recounted the time when she and Jesse had accidentally ordered a couple hundred dollars' worth of room service items while on tour.
Everyone else at the table was cracking up, for they were a little tipsy. "Good one, Beca," Lilly said, wiping a few tears of laughter from her eyes.
Jack checked the time on his watch. "Oh boy, we've been here for quite some time," he observed, chuckling. "Let's finish this bottle and call it a night. This evening has truly been a pleasure, you two," he said, looking from Beca to Chloe.
Chloe's heart was overflowing with joy at the moment. The dinner had gone better than she ever could've imagined — Beca genuinely impressed her parents, and not one remark about her career was made. "Are we meeting you tomorrow morning at Disneyland, Mom?"
"Yes, dear. We will be there around 9:00," Lilly said, smiling at their daughter.
Once the dinner had concluded, Beca and Chloe went to the actress' apartment. The singer rested her hand on Chloe's leg as she drove. "Your parents were great tonight."
"So were you, Becs." Chloe put a hand on top of Beca's. "My parents have never been so taken with a partner of mine. I can tell they really enjoy your company," she added.
Beca smiled as she turned onto the street that Chloe's apartment complex was on. "I had a lot of fun tonight. I'm glad I stopped after one glass of wine, though, or else we'd have needed an Uber." She then brought Chloe's hand up and kissed her palm. "I was so nervous to meet them," the brunette admitted, breathing a sigh of relief.
"I was nervous for you to meet them too, but it went really well," Chloe said, smiling when Beca kissed her hand. "I'm looking forward to Disneyland tomorrow. Have you been there before?" She asked.
"I haven't, surprisingly," Beca mentioned. "I guess I've never had someone to go with until now," she reasoned. A few minutes later, they were in the parking lot. Beca found a spot and parked, turning her car off and getting out. She went over to the passenger side and opened the door for Chloe. "Do you want me to stay the night?"
"You're more than welcome to if you'd like," Chloe replied, leaning in for a kiss after she got out of the car.
Chloe's lips felt particularly soft and tasted especially sweet that night. "Mmm," Beca hummed softly. When they pulled away, she nodded and said, "Let's get inside, then."
Chloe led Beca into the lobby of her apartment complex, and the two women headed for the elevator. As the elevator ascended to her floor, Chloe leaned her head on Beca's shoulder. "I love you so much, Becs," she whispered.
Beca felt her face begin to heat up at Chloe's words. "I love you too, Chlo," she whispered back. When they reached Chloe's apartment, the brunette made herself at home upon entry. She took off her shoes and blazer, then sat down on the couch in the living room.
"Babe, I'm going to go change; can you unzip my dress?" Chloe asked, kneeling down in front of the couch. She swept her hair to the side so Beca could find the zipper.
"Of course," Beca located the zipper with ease and unzipped Chloe's dress. "There you go."
"Thanks, baby," Chloe said, quickly pecking Beca on the lips before she went to change.
In the meantime, Beca pondered the day's happenings. She had completed her second studio album that afternoon, and meeting her girlfriend's parents had gone swimmingly. However, the singer did feel a twinge of sadness regarding the former, as she knew her workload would ramp up significantly with promoting the album, rehearsing for an accompanying tour, etc. A heavier workload would mean less time to spend with Chloe, something Beca wasn't used to since they had been practically inseparable from the day they met.
When Chloe returned from her room, she was wearing a navy blue silk robe that cut off mid-thigh. Her hair was up in a ponytail, and she had washed the makeup off her face. "I think tonight went rather well. Don't you?" She asked, sitting down next to Beca.
"Yeah, it went really well," Beca agreed.
Chloe noticed that Beca's mood seemed a bit somber. "Are you okay, babe?"
"I'm okay," Beca quickly answered. "I was thinking about how we both have exciting things going on with our careers, but we may not be able to spend as much time together for awhile."
The actress nodded her head, taking in what Beca was saying. "It'll be tough, but we can get through it." Chloe took ahold of Beca's hands. "We'll be okay."
"I know." Beca smiled a little when she looked down at their hands. "I'm just going to miss you, that's all. We haven't been apart from each other for very long before," she explained.
"Now that I think about it, you're right," Chloe stated before leaning in and kissing Beca on the cheek. "Hey, congratulations on finishing your album! I can't wait to hear it," she said, turning Beca towards her so she could kiss the woman's lips.
"Thank you. I can't wait for you to hear it," Beca murmured against Chloe's lips. She brought a hand up to cup her girlfriend's face. "It's probably my favorite record that I've made so far," the brunette mentioned, stroking the redhead's cheek with her thumb.
"How do you want to celebrate?" Chloe inquired, leaning back against the couch. "I can get us a bottle of wine…I have ice cream in the freezer…" she brainstormed aloud.
"Wine and ice cream sounds great," Beca replied with a smile. Her eyes wandered away from Chloe for a moment, settling on a record player in a corner of the living room. "But first, I'd like to dance with you for a bit." The singer stood up from the couch and walked over to the shelf of records next to Chloe's record player. She selected a record by Lord Huron and set it on the turntable, then turned around and held out her hand. "May I have this dance?" Beca requested.
"You may," Chloe giggled a little as she took Beca's hand. She glanced over at the cover of the record Beca had picked out. "Vide Noir — good choice." The redhead smiled when she heard "Wait by the River" begin to play. "How did you know this is one of my favorite songs?" Chloe asked.
Beca shrugged in a smug yet adorable way. "Wild guess," she whispered, resting her hands on Chloe's waist after pulling the actress close. The singer leaned her head on Chloe's shoulder, pressing a few kisses to her neck here and there.
"You're something else, Beca Mitchell," Chloe said, closing her eyes as she and Beca swayed back and forth to the song.
"I can say the same thing about you, babe." Beca pulled away from Chloe's neck to give her another kiss on the lips. She then spun Chloe around before pulling her close again, resting her hands at the small of her girlfriend's back. As the song continued, the brunette took her time admiring Chloe — her hair, her robe, her eyes. "What's on your mind?"
"You," Chloe answered simply. "I'm so lucky to have you in my life, Beca. You mean so, so much to me, and I cherish every moment we have together," she continued in a soft voice.
"You're making me blush," Beca smiled, leaning her forehead against Chloe's. "You're so gorgeous. You know that?" She said.
"Not as gorgeous as you," Chloe replied, nuzzling her nose against Beca's.
Beca moved a hand up to Chloe's cheek before pressing a soft kiss to her lips. When she pulled away a few moments later, the smile on her face grew even wider. Her free hand wandered to the actress' hips and traced her shape. Beca kissed her girlfriend again, keeping her close to assure the woman of her affection towards her. "I love doing that," Beca whispered breathlessly.
"And I love it when you do that," Chloe said as she wrapped her arms around Beca's neck. "You make me so, so, so very happy," she added, gazing into Beca's eyes as she spoke.
"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Chlo."
The redhead felt a few tears of joy begin to well up in her eyes. She leaned in and pressed their lips together once more, this kiss tender and sweet. "Not a day goes by where I don't thank the universe for bringing us together."
Beca gradually led Chloe to the couch. "Get over here," she murmured, sitting down and pulling the redhead onto her lap.
Chloe giggled and leaned in for another kiss. "Is kissing me one of your favorite things to do?" She asked.
"How can you tell?" Beca teased, smiling up at the redhead and running a hand through her hair. "Is it that way for you as well?"
"It's not that hard to tell with you," Chloe murmured, teasing Beca back. "Is it hard to tell with me?" The redhead wondered aloud.
"No," Beca answered immediately. "Your moans are a good giveaway," she explained with a laugh.
This remark made Chloe blush. "If I recall correctly, I'm not the only one who ends up moaning," she murmured in a low voice.
"True," Beca smirked. The two of them sat there in silence for a moment. "What do you want to do?"
Chloe's hands roamed around Beca's body while her lips moved to the brunette's neck. She pressed a few kisses to her girlfriend's skin before whispering, "I'll go get that wine and ice cream." She then climbed off of Beca's lap and went to the kitchen.
Beca took a few deep breaths, knowing Chloe had purposely done that to tease her. "Now that's just rude," she muttered to herself, standing up and following Chloe into the kitchen. "You did that just to leave me high and dry," she jokingly complained.
"High and dry…for now," Chloe hinted, turning to wink at Beca before looking back to the freezer. "What flavor would you like, babe? I've got vanilla, butter pecan, mint chocolate chip, and neapolitan."
"Ooh. Butter pecan, please," Beca requested, leaning against the counter and smiling at Chloe. "What's your favorite flavor?"
"Out of the ones I have, definitely mint chocolate chip," Chloe said, taking the flavors out of the freezer. "I like lots of flavors, though. It depends on how I'm feeling that day," she continued while starting to scoop Beca's ice cream.
"Me too. Nothing will ever beat chocolate and peanut butter, though," Beca stated confidently.
Once Chloe finished scooping the butter pecan for Beca, she scooped a cup of mint chocolate chip for herself. "Do you want to pick out the wine?" The actress asked the singer.
Beca opened the wine drawer and picked out a bottle of white to go with their dessert. She then grabbed a couple glasses and poured some in each. "Here," she said as she handed a glass to Chloe.
"Thank you," Chloe said, clinking her glass against Beca's before they both took a sip. "Oh, that's really good. What brand is it?"
"I didn't really check, but it's delicious," Beca chuckled.
"I'll make sure to buy more for the future," Chloe thought aloud, sipping her wine again. "So, what will you be up to while I'm in New York auditioning for this movie?" The actress changed the subject.
"I'm going to Seattle for a day or two, actually. I haven't been back in a couple years, so it'll be nice to see the city again," the brunette mentioned after finishing a bite of ice cream. "I'm gonna visit my dad's grave and play my new album for him. I did that for my first album, too; it's a way for me to continue our tradition of me playing new songs for him."
"That's really sweet, Beca. I'm sure he'll love your new album."
The singer smiled. "I hope so," she chuckled. "Once I get back from Seattle, I'll start promoting the album and rehearsing for upcoming shows."
"That sounds fun," Chloe stated through a bite of ice cream. "You'll come and visit me, though, won't you? If I get the part?"
"Of course I will, Chlo. I'm going to visit you as often as I can," Beca promised, putting her dessert and drink down for a moment. "I'll let you know what my press and rehearsal schedules look like once Lyla sends them to me. She's working on tour dates as well, but those will be announced closer to the album's release date," the brunette elaborated.
"Gotcha," Chloe said, brushing a strand of her red hair behind her ear. "Oh, and we're also shooting that music video over the next couple days!" She recalled. "I can't wait to shoot my first music video."
"And I can't wait to direct my first music video," Beca replied. Then, a lightbulb went off in her head. "You know, I have the song saved to my phone if you'd like to give it a listen. It's probably best that you listen to the song beforehand so you can prepare for the video," she offered.
Chloe smiled widely, bouncing up and down on the couch in a display of excitement. "I can't wait! Do you have headphones with you?"
"Let me see." Beca rummaged through her pockets and found a pair of earbuds. "Will these work?" She asked Chloe.
"Sure." Chloe took the earbuds and plugged them into Beca's phone before putting them in her ears.
"Alright. The song is called 'Better'."
"Better" - Khalid
"Love to see you shine in the night like the diamond you are
(Love to see you shine in the night like the diamond you are)
I'm on the good side, it's alright, just hold me in the dark
(I'm on the good side, it's alright, just hold me in the dark)
No one's gotta know what we do, hit me up when you're bored
(No one's gotta know what we do, hit me up when you're bored)
'Cause I live down the street
So we meet when you need and it's yours
All I hear is…"
This song channeled elements of hip-hop and R&B, creating a unique sound that Chloe hadn't really heard from Beca before. She bopped her head along to the music during the first verse, a smile slowly spreading across her face.
"Nothing feels better than this
Nothing feels better
Nothing feels better than this
Nothing feels better, oh no
We don't gotta hide, this is what you like
I admit
Nothing feels better than this."
Even though she couldn't hear the song playing, Beca started to bop her head along with Chloe. She was so glad that her girlfriend was enjoying the song.
"You say we're just friends but I swear when nobody's around
(You say we're just friends but I swear when nobody's around)
You keep my hand around your neck, we connect, are you feeling it now?
(You keep my hand around your neck, we connect, are you feeling it now?)
'Cause I am
I got so high the other night, I swear to God, felt my feet leave the ground
(I got so high the other night, I swear to God, felt my feet leave the ground)
Your back against the wall, this is all we've been talkin' about
In my ears
Nothing feels better than this
Nothing feels better
Nothing feels better than this
Nothing feels better, oh no
We don't gotta hide, this is what you like
I admit
Nothing feels better than this."
By the time the second chorus arrived, Chloe had stood up from the couch and was full-on dancing to the song. "This is so good!"
"Now left, right, left, right
Take it back, bring it side to side
Like that, like that, aye
Ooh, now left, right, left, right
Take it back, bring it side to side
Like
Nothing feels better than this
Nothing feels better
Nothing feels better than this
Nothing feels better, oh no
We don't gotta hide, this is what you like
I admit
Nothing feels better than this (better than this)
Nothing feels better than this."
After the song ended, Chloe gave Beca's earbuds back to her. "That song is incredible. Seriously, babe," the actress complimented.
Beca smiled. "Thank you. Now that you've heard it, do you have an idea about what the music video is going to be like?" She asked curiously.
"I do," Chloe replied, wrapping her arms around the brunette's neck. She bit down on her bottom lip a little as she gazed at Beca. "Would you like me to show you what I'm thinking?"
Beca's smile turned into a smirk. "I'd love that."
