Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Halo/Mass Effect. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Mass Effect or Halo, 343, Bioware, and a few others.

One of the warships passed by the window of the station while the combined fleet seemed to become a far more condensed blob than it had been a few seconds ago.

There were many warships, countless compiled by size, armament, crew, and other such factors. It'd be a lot harder for them to handle the warships if there weren't millions of soldiers within said blob.

This was the UNSC and a new organization they had met, the Systems Alliance. They were still working out their differences, but there was enough of a bond between them to stay on track.

"You're suggesting sending a new ship into the traverse? That will start a war. The only reason we managed to stay out of the conflict is that we didn't send anything into the traverse after the conflict." One voice said before the other held up a hand.

"Considering I've heard about the Normandy, Admiral Hacket? I believe we both have no real ground to stand on at the time. There's nothing between either of us." The soldier stated before folding his hands behind his back.

He was honestly curious as to what to do as of the second. If they did send another ship into space? Well, it was honestly going to put him into a corner as of the second.

He tapped on his arms before clicking his fingers and sighing to himself the time and shook his head from side to side. It'd be a lot more interesting, but he saw no reason to do so when it came down to it.

"We're not going to back down, Admiral. This needs to be done." The other man said as he rubbed at his eyes. "Ever since the relic started to collapse both of our spaces into one another? There's something that we need to handle either way. The longer we wait? The more this is going to become harder." The other man stated.

"Which ship did you have in mind?" Admiral Hacket questioned before he raised an eyebrow.

"The Valiant. It's the first Battlecruiser in the UNSC and just finished refit. Rear Admiral Adkins as its commander." The other man stated before he rubbed at his chin.

"You're sending an Admiral to handle a mission we only need one ship for?" Admiral Hacket questioned to which there was a nod.

"We both know the Geth and the Covenant have been quiet. Since we've all been sent here, they've retreated into the depths of space."

(UNSC Valiant)

The Pelican approached the battle cruiser as the commander of the vessel stared out over the rest of the fleet. Vice Admiral Whitcomb was supposed to talk to him, and give him a formal meeting.

"Sir? The crew is all assembled. We're still organizing ships and Admiral Whitcomb is arriving soon from the Trafalgar, but we're waiting for your command." The man heard as he held up his hand before he hummed to himself.

There was a sigh before he glanced out the window. His black hair was short and cut to regulation, his uniform crisp and polished if not slightly messy. His blue eyes showed slight naivety which could be mistaken for some inexperience which wasn't entirely true.

"Please him I'll be ready. I need to finish the report and can someone please send my journal to my room." The man stated before he hummed to himself.

Still? It had been interesting to what to do next before he hummed as he snapped his fingers together. There was a lot more on his mind than this. They had come here, but there were still cracks between them and their counterparts.

At least he considered it when it came down to it. He tapped a few keys before he started before, he marched towards the ready room before he reached the ready room. It'd be a lot more interesting if not for the fact war could break across the galaxy.

The pelican docked with the battle cruiser before slowly extending its landing gear onto the ground.

Still? There was a lot more on the line and they had no idea there was a war.

It'd be a lot more curious if they had at the time.

Author Notes

Phew. The first chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show the Valiant on its voyage and set up the adventures and such. The next chapter will be in 900-6500 words and will be a lot longer as of the time. The next chapter will be a bit delayed when it came down to it as of the second. Until then, Lighting Wolf!
