As Hiroki, Nowaki, and Alrik walked into the ballroom of the community center, a few heads turned. News that the groom and his bridegroom were in the building spread quickly, and soon everyone was cheering. Alrik took his leave then, wandering off to find Katina.

"It seems that the groom and bridegroom have arrived!" announced a voice over the speakers on the ceiling. Hiroki and Nowaki squinted as the room suddenly went dark and a spotlight lit up around them, casting them in a blinding glow. There was more cheering from the wedding guests.

"I knew they'd go overboard," Hiroki sighed, pursing his lips. Nowaki only smiled and moved closer to Hiroki, slipping an arm around his waist and resting his hand on his hip.

"If the lovely couple could make their way to the dancefloor, please!"

Hiroki reluctantly allowed Nowaki to lead him towards the center of the room, their footsteps guided by the spotlight. He wrung his hands as he walked, staring down at the ground.

"Do we have to dance, then?" he asked in dread.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of everything," Nowaki said, giving Hiroki's hip a reassuring squeeze.

As they walked out to the center of the dancefloor, the song begun.

He's blood, flesh, and bone-
No tucks or silicone.
He's touch, smell, sight, taste and sound.

Hiroki gulped as Nowaki took him by the hip and brought him in close. Unsure of what to do, Hiroki hesitantly put his hands on Nowaki's shoulders.

"See, it's not that hard," Nowaki said softly as he helped Hiroki sway in a slow circle. "Thank God the twenty-first century brought simplified slow dancing to the world."

Hiroki grinned as they continued to sway. He listened to the music for a few seconds, his brow wrinkling.

But somehow I can't believe
That anything should happen
I know where I belong
And nothing's gonna happen.

"It's in English," Hiroki stated, looking up questioningly at Nowaki.

"Yep," Nowaki replied, touching his forehead to Hiroki's and kissing the tip of his nose.

"What does it mean?"

'Cause he's so high...
High above me, he's so lovely
He's so high...
Like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, or Aphrodite
He's so high...
High above me.

"Basically… it means that Hiro-san is the most perfect, amazing, beautiful husband a man could ever have," Nowaki purred. Hiroki tsked.

"Mmm. Seriously, what is it about?"

"I just told you," Nowaki said, smiling as he released Hiroki's hips momentarily to reach up and take Hiroki's arms off of his shoulders. He wrapped them around his neck. "Come on, Hiro-san. Don't be shy."

Hiroki flushed scarlet, but obediently moved in closer to Nowaki and squeezed his neck. He had to stand on his tiptoes ever so slightly, but when Nowaki wrapped his arms around Hiroki's middle, he lifted Hiroki a bit more. Hiroki could hear several of the audience members cooing about them and how cute they were. He blushed wildly, tapping his dangling feet together.

First class and fancy free
He's high society
He's got the best of everything
What could a guy like me
Ever really offer?
He's perfect as he can be
Why should I even bother?

"I can feel you blushing on my neck," Nowaki murmured into Hiroki's ear.

"You're lifting me right off of the floor!"

"Really? Sorry, I couldn't tell. I feel like the luckiest man in the world. I could lift a car right now without even knowing it."

"Put me down, you moron."

Nowaki laughed and set Hiroki back on the ground. Hiroki loosened his hold on Nowaki's neck ever so slightly so he could gaze up at his husband.

'Cause he's so high...
High above me, he's so lovely
He's so high...
Like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, or Aphrodite
He's so high...
High above me.

Hiroki glanced over Nowaki's shoulder as a flash of white caught his eye. A woman was standing right on the sidelines, her pale white arms crossed over her slim body. Her hair was cut short and had an outwards flip at the bottom, giving her somewhat of a roguish look. She was flanked by two elegantly dressed men, and it felt like all three were staring at him. Hiroki blinked. He had never seen the woman before, yet he had the sneaking suspicion that they all knew exactly who he was. Soon, they were out of his sight as he and Nowaki turned away from them.

When Hiroki was again facing the spot where the woman and the two men had been, they were gone.

He comes to speak to me
I freeze immediately
'Cause what he says sounds so unreal
But somehow I can't believe
That anything should happen
I know where I belong
And nothing's gonna happen
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah

"What is it, Hiro-san? You seem distracted."

"I just… I saw a few people that I definitely didn't invite, and who I didn't recognize from your group of friends."

"Hm? What did they look like?"

"Well… it was a woman with two guys on either side of her. That doesn't give away much but… it looked like a formation. They looked so eye-catching when they stood like that. Oh! And the woman was wearing a cocktail dress, and she had the lightest skin I've ever seen. When she saw me looking at her… I think she… smiled at me or something."

"Where are they now?"

"They disappeared. I have no idea where they went."

"I see. Well, they're very close friends of mine. I guess you could call them… a trio of guardian angels, watching over us."

"What does that mean?"

"It means that you will be safe and happy for the rest of your life."

Hiroki tilted his head.

"Oh, so they're the wedding planners or something? Because I'm married to you, I'll be safe and happy for the rest of my life?"

Nowaki blinked, then smiled.

"…Yeah. You could call them that. They really helped in making this wedding possible."

"Well, thank them for me when you get a chance."

"I will."

"Thank you."

"Hey, Hiro-san?"

"Yes?"

Nowaki stopped swaying and took Hiroki's face into his hands. He kissed him with so much emotion that Hiroki could only tremble. He shakily reached up to rest his hands on Nowaki's chest, one hand sliding up to his shoulder, where he cupped Nowaki's neck.

'Cause he's so high...
High above me, he's so lovely
He's so high...
Like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, or Aphrodite
He's so high...
High above me.

Nowaki pulled away slowly, rendering Hiroki breathless. He stroked back Hiroki's bangs back to reveal the entirety of his blush.

"I love you, Hiro-san."
