And we're back with day two. Honesty this one is a little shorter than last chapter, but it was a lot of fun to write I hope everyone enjoys it. :)

Prompt 2: Rainy Days

Rainy days were meant to be spent inside with a burning fire and mugs of hot chocolate, which is what Master Eraqus did when an afternoon storm hit the Land of Departure. Everyone loved the calming rain shower, cups of hot cocoa and fresh-baked cookies were laid out on the table, the windows were opened a crack to let the sweet smell in, and Dakota sat near the castle's entrance. She loved the rain. It brought back nice memories from her days staying in the Castle That Never Was.

"Hey there, Dakota." Someone greeted,

Dakota turned to face them, and her face lit up, seeing it was Ventus. "Hey Ven, enjoying the rain?"

"I am." He nodded and sat down next to her, "I love the rain. Sitting by the window with Aqua and Terra are some of my favorite memories. What about you? Are you enjoying the rain?"

"I am, where I live, rain is few and far between. So, enjoying a storm like this is exciting." Dakota nodded as thunder rumbled in the distance.

"Yeah, it doesn't rain here that often either, but when it does, it can last all day. I remember we were training one morning, and it came down out of nowhere. There wasn't even a cloud in the sky when I woke up. We were so focused on training we didn't notice the storm clouds until it started pouring. I remember coming inside and was soaked; Master Eraqus made us tea and cookies as we dried off, I think Terra and I ended up getting sick the next day, but it was worth it since we had so much fun." Ventus explained,

"Wow, that's quite the story. You know, that reminds me of a time when I was six. We just moved into the enemy's stronghold, and it's always raining in the world they live in." She explained,

"So, what happened?" Ven asked excitedly. He loved hearing about Dakota's past when she lived with the Organization.

"Well, one day, it rained so hard the pipes got clogged. Louie, the castle's janitor, had to call a plumber, but he got a Heartless instead of a real one. It didn't even know what it was doing and caused the castle to get flooded. Roxas, my group, and I had to use my umbrella as a boat to row to the castle doors to let the water out. It was a mess, poor Louie; he was mopping up rainwater for days. But we learned a valuable lesson that day."

"What was it?" Ventus questioned on the verge of laughter.

"Never send a Heartless to do an actual plumbers' job." Dakota recited, making them both laugh.

"That's crazy. I bet Xemnas wasn't happy." Ven realized in-between giggles.

"Oh, he was furious. Not only were everyone's cloaks soaked, but everything was wet for days. Huh, it's moments like these that give me a good laugh looking back on it."

"I'm sure they do; your childhood adventures sound amazing." Ventus sighed contently,

"Well, did you know that wasn't the only time I dealt with a flooded castle?" Dakota questioned,

"It wasn't? Oh, you gotta tell me."

"Okay, so it all started in Count Bleck's Castle, the universe Mimi and Dimentio are from. We were enjoying a peaceful get-together in our secret greenhouse when we noticed a strange liquid was leaking through the door. We opened it and found out the whole castle was flooded with Anti-Freeze."

"What? you're joking!" Ven laughed,

"I wish I was, but I can assure you it happened; ask Mimi or Dimentio they remember. So, where was I?" She thought, "Oh right, we hopped into the umbrella again and started to investigate, turns out Mr. L, Luigi's minion name, was working on his Brobot, and it sprung a leak causing the flood. We ended up freezing the Anti-Freeze and ice skated on it until it melted away. It was fun, but that was another mess we needed to clean up."

"I can't believe my ears. You sure know how to get into the craziest situations." Ven stated, shaking his head,

"You should join the group sometimes. You never know what can happen while we're around." Dakota smiled,

"If Master Eraqus ever lets me leave the world, I'd love that." He replied,

"So, what about you? I want to hear more of your memories with Aqua and Terra."

"Okay, let me think… Well, there was this one time." Dakota and Ventus spent the rest of the day recalling old memories, and when the storm picked up and they had to move away from the door, the whole group joined in telling stories of the past. While outside was dark, wet, and rainy. Inside was warm, cozy, and filled with laughter.

Fun fact both stories Dakota told Ven are based on old daydream idea's the first one takes place during Kingdom Hearts two and the other obviously takes place during Super Paper Mairo. I might write them out in a two shot in the future, anyway tomorrow's chapter is Guessing Games
