"That uniform," The girl says as she redresses. "You're a parasite?"

He sits down on the ledge of the creek, overlooking the water.

"No, I'm not." He replies through gritted teeth.

"So you don't pilot?"

"I can't pilot..." He picks up a rock and clenches it. "I lost my abilities––I even dragged my partner down with me."

He tosses the rock into the creek in a pathetic effort to make it skip.

"I don't have a place here anymore," The girl says suddenly. "So... you're just like me."

She smiles wryly and stands up, "I'm always alone, too. Thanks to these horns."

002 gestures to her horns.

Percy glances back at her.

"If you don't belong here, just build a place where you do. If you don't have a partner, just find another..."

"Hey... what are you talking about?" Percy says, suspicion starting to creep into his eyes.

"And if you can't..." She continues. "TAKE ONE BY FORCE!"

She leaps onto Percy, and he attempts to scramble away.

His efforts proved futile as the girl is wedged onto him.

"Wow..." She licks his face. "Your taste makes my heart race. It bites and lingers..."

His leg is in between her thighs, and he thinks that's probably what's making him blush so hard.

"The taste of danger."

He turns into an absolute stuttering mess. "Wh––what are you..."

She smiles, still on top of him. Enjoying the lingering scent of him on her tongue, and the taste of him flows through her.

"Would you have preferred a kiss?"

He's stupefied by this word. In fact, he's never heard of it up until this moment.

Maybe he's heard her wrong.

"A kiss...?"

"Oh, you guys don't know, huh?" She smiles, wickedly knowing that he's never been this close to a girl this way before. "It's a very special thing."

He wriggles beneath her, uncomfortable.

"I think I've taken a liking to you."

She stands up and holds her hand out to him. "Won't you be my darling?"

Percy sits up, "D-Darling? Don't you mean partner?"

Her hand is still out, "Your ability's probably just still dormant. I can awaken it for you."

He stares at her hand, his soul torn between this beautiful, yet terrifying girl and the fact that he's lost everything. Not even he would be able to pilot with this girl.

"Plus, you weren't frightened by my horns. That made me happy."

He reaches his hand out, a side of him that was stronger than the rest took over. An instinctual drawing to this unknown girl.

Percy's hand is only a scarce inch away from her hand before a gruff voice calls out and interrupts them.

"Time's up." She says, frowning.

The girl's partner, the man that was brutally injured approached as the lead of the group. "We've been looking for you. Why do you keep running off alone?"

She turns to face him, hands on hips. "It's not like there's anything else to do until tomorrow's welcoming ceremony."

The man and his party stop a few paces away from the two. "Well, as your partner, I'm the one who suffers for it."

Percy speaks up for the first time in quite a while, "Partner...?"

His focus shifts to Percy, "Are you a parasite cadet? Your welcoming ceremony's tomorrow, right?"

He doesn't wait for an answer as he signals for his guards to whisk the girl away.

The girl with horns doesn't even look him in the eyes.

"Let me give you some advice, kid. Stay far away from her, she's not the kind of pistol that just anyone can handle."

The party begins to trek away when Percy bravely shouts out to the girl.

"Wait!" he yells. "Your name... what's your name?"

She doesn't turn around to speak to him face to face. "My name. Do we parasites even have names?"

Her head tilts down, "But, well, my code is 002."
