House of Clocks:

The club looked at Joy with puzzled faces after she told them she wanted to join the club.

"I understand if you guys need some time to think about it," said Joy.

No one from the club said anything and just looked away from Joy, staring down at the ground.

"Could one of you please give your first reaction?" Asked Joy.

"Well... I..," said Nina, nothing knowing what to say.

"Does my hair look stupid to you?" Asked Joy.

"No, you look very nice with those braids," said Alfie.

"No your hair looks fine, you're just taking us by surprise," said Fabian.

"I can tell," said Joy.

"You wanna join the club? And you are sure?" Asked Nina.

"Yes, I'm really, really sure. I've been thinking about this for a while," said Joy.

"You have?" Asked Patricia, surprised to be hearing this from her best friend.

"Yeah. Last year I wanted to be a normal teenager for once and then I was really busy with Otis and the school newspaper," said Joy.

"But that hasn't changed," said Amber.

"But I can handle both things. I want to help, I miss the adventure and you guys," said Joy.

"Aw, welcome to the club," said Alfie.

"Whoa, wait a minute," said Amber.

"What?" Asked Alfie.

"That's not how this works. You've never really shown any interest in the club since you got back," said Amber.

"She already explained that," said Fabian.

"Yeah, that's true," said Patricia.

"Exactly. She had a good reason. So I say welcome to the club," said Alfie.

"No, not at all! You just said it yourself. You wanted to be a normal teenager and that's why you showed no interest in the club or the mystery," said Amber.

"That's not true," said Joy.

"It's not? Then why didn't you come to us once last year and what's up with the mystery?" Asked Amber.

"Maybe I should've and I'm sorry I didn't. But I've changed," said Joy.

"Well, it's too late for that," said Amber.

"Amber," said Nina.

"What? She can't just join the club. This isn't an after school club, this club is serious business," said Amber.

"Maybe you should think about it?" Asked Joy.

"No, we don't have to. It's very simple, if she joins the club, then I'm out, said Amber.

Nobody said anything. Joy looked at the club waiting for any kind of responses, but nothing. Joy sighed and left the chemistry lab.

In the meantime in the house. Eddie walked toward the kitchen to grab a snack and was startled to see his father standing in the kitchen.

"Dad?" Said Eddie.

"Edison not so loud," said Mr. Sweet.

"Dad what are you doing here?' Asked Eddie.

"I'm here for Victor," said Mr. Sweet.

"Wait a minute, why for Victor?" Asked Eddie.

"Victor has suffered a serious concussion and it is in his best interest that you lower your volume," said Mr. Sweet.

"Got it," said Eddie.

"I'm personally going to bring peace and order to the Anubis house," said Mr. Sweet, while he put on an apron

"Oh, how nice," said Eddie sarcastically

"I'm gonna go back to the patient and remember…," said Mr. Sweet.

"Be quiet," said Eddie.

Mr. Sweet nodded his head and walked into the living room and just then Jerome and Mara walked into the kitchen.

"Was that Mr. Sweet?" Asked Mara.

"You got that right," said Eddie.

"What is he doing here?" Asked Jerome.

"Victor has a concussion and my father is coming to take care of him, said Eddie.

Eddie grabbed an apple and went to his room. Jerome and Mara were not happy with the fact that Mr. Sweet was in their house.

Back at school. Joy was pacing down the hallway.

"Why does Amber always have to be so difficult?" Said Joy to herself.

Joy looked around to see if there was anyone there and walked back to the chemistry room. Joy put her ear to the door and decided to eavesdrop on the club, hearing that they were talking about her.

"I get you, but I thought you were pretty rude sis," said Aaron.

"So what, she just needs to understand is that she can't just join the club," said Amber.

"But she was an unofficial club member," said Patricia.

"With the emphasis on unofficial, so no she never really was part of the club anyway," said Amber.

"It's a little weird that she wants to join the club," said Nina.

"That's what I was thinking," said Amber.

"Maybe she was brainwashed by some evil wizard," said Alfie.

"I just don't want to talk about it anymore," said Amber.

"Let's talk about other things, My uncle's domino stones," said Fabian.

"Yeah, I'll go get them when we get home," said Nina.

"And what about the clock from the mini house?" asked Amber.

"That clock must be from our house, the one in the hall," said Fabian.

"And then that's where the clue is for the second task," said Nina.

The club didn't know Joy was bugging them. Joy was so focused on the club that she didn't realize Otis was behind her.

"Hey, if you want to go in, help me open the door," said Otis.

Joy got startled and turned around facing Otis.

"I don't want to go in at all," said Joy.

"Oh, so you were eavesdropping?" Asked Otis.

"No, I wasn't. I was... Anyway, mind your own business," said Joy.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't know you were gonna be mad," said Otis.

"I'm sorry. I was busy..," said Joy, nothing knowing to say.

"With eavesdropping. Well, good luck with that," said Otis.

Otis gave Joy a kiss on the cheek and headed home.

Back at the house. Jerome and Mara were sitting in the kitchen when KT entered the kitchen.

"Why are there signs all over the house saying 'be quiet exams'?" asked KT.

"I think Mr. Sweet put those up," said Mara.

"Mr. Sweet?" Asked KT.

"Yes, he's here to take care of Victor, because he apparently has a severe concussion," said Mara.

"Things are getting crazier by the minute in this house," said KT.

"You don't know the half of it," said Jerome.

"But wait, you can still invite your candidates?" Asked KT.

"Oh shoot, we can forget that now," said Mara.

"How so?" Asked Jerome.

"Sweetie will never allow it, now that Victor is in bad shape," said Mara.

"We can still ask and we'll say we're keeping it quiet," said Jerome.

"And you really think Mr. Sweet will give us permission?" Asked Mara.

"Sure and plus Sweetie is a sucker for love," said Jerome.

"That's true," said Mara.

A few moments later. The club came home and walked right up to the clock. Alfie knocked over one of the signs and when he straightened up he read what it said.

"Exams? But I didn't study at all," said Alfie.

"Just think, would they give an exam here?" Asked Fabian.

"But what if it's the opposite world? Then home is school now and then...," said Alfie, but got interrupted by Fabian.

"Let's just hurry up before someone is coming," said Fabian.

"Okay, Amber, you're on lookout," said Alfie.

"Okay," said Amber, as she walked towards the kitchen.

"Nina, Fabian, Aaron and Patricia, you guys are gonna move the clock," said Alfie.

"And what are you doing?" Asked Aaron, as he and the rest of the club were already busy moving the clock

"Super Alfie gives the orders," said Alfie.

"Maybe Super Alfie can give us a hand, otherwise we'll be standing here tomorrow," said Aaron.

Alfie walked towards the clock to help, but bumped into Fabian, causing Fabian to lose his grip and the clock to almost fall over. Nina, Aaron and Patricia were able to catch the clock just in time, but the clock did start to go off. Amber ran screaming towards the club and Mr. Sweet entered the hall.

"Silence! I put those signs up for a reason," said Mr. Sweet. "And what do those signs say Mr. Rutter?"

"Be quiet exams," said Fabian.

"Exactly, so silence. And Ms. Millington do you read somewhere let's talk loudly, move a clock once and go screaming?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"No," said Amber.

"What are you doing here, anyway?" Asked Patricia.

"Victor who is lying here on the sofa with a concussion and I'm coming to take care of him in Trudy's absence," said Mr. Sweet.

"A concussion?" Asked Nina.

"Yes, and it's quite severe concussion," said Mr. Sweet. "I will overlook this incident if you will immediately turn back this clock and go to your room."

Alfie nodded his head and walked towards the clock and again he bumped into it making the clock sound again. Fabian grabbed Alfie and took him to his room, the rest of the club also went to their rooms.

When the club had left Mr. Sweet went to the living room with the cup of soup.

"Amica I hope I haven't left you alone too long?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"Not long enough," said Victor jr.

"I've a delicious bowl of soup for you. Darkness, silence and a homemade soup there is no better medicine then that," said Mr. Sweet.

"I'm feeling much better already. I've got things to do," said Victor jr. as he was trying to get up.

"Out of the question. You should rest for a while," said Mr. Sweet, as stop Victor jr. from trying to get up and pushed him back down on the couch

"But I..," said Victor jr.

"If you don't lie down, I'm going to tie you up," said Mr. Sweet.

"But I.., said Victor jr.

"Don't thank me, You would have done the same for me, said Mr. Sweet. "And you'll feel a lot better when you've washed,"

"Wash? Well, I'd rather lie down, said Victor jr.

"But first you need to eat something, said Mr. Sweet.

Mr. Sweet took the spoon and started to feed Victor Jr. and Victor jr. didn't enjoy this at all.

In the meantime. The club had gone to Nina and Amber's room for a meeting. While the rest of the club was discussing the Mr. Sweet situation, Nina was searching for the domino stones.

"Sweetie at school, Sweetie in the house. Sweetie is driving me crazy," said Amber.

"Anyway, Victor is now lying sick on the couch so he can't continue looking for the Mask of Anubis," said Fabian.

"But we'll never get to the clock now. I mean Sweetie has ears the size of elephants and eyes the size of... That guy just has big eyes," said Alfie.

"Alfie, we can't wait for him to leave. We need to take advantage of this head start right now," said Fabian.

"Can't you think of anything to distract him with?" Asked Aaron to Patricia.

"Why me?" Asked Patricia.

"Sweetie is your father-in-law," said Aaron.

"How is that possible?" Asked Nina.

"Well, Patricia is dating Eddie and Eddie is Mr. Sweet's son, so that's how it works," said Amber.

"That's not what I'm talking about," said Nina.

"What's it?" Asked Fabian.

"I put the dominoes here and now they're gone," said Nina.

The club immediately got into action and began searching the entire room for the stone, but after searching the entire room they didn't find anything. But of course they didn't know that Joy was the one who had taken the stones.

"They are really gone," said Nina.

"How can that be?" Asked Fabian.

"I don't know. I had put them in this drawer," said Nina.

"Maybe they were stolen," guessed Aaron.

At the same time. Joy had gotten a message from Omar to meet him in the park. Joy looked around, but didn't see Omar anywhere.

"Hello," said Joy.

"Were you looking for me?" Asked Omar, as he sneaked up on Joy.

"Why do you always have to show up like this? You scared me," said Joy.

"You should be happy to see me," said Omar.

"Listen, this little spy plan of yours is not gonna work," said Joy.

"Oh no?" asked Omar.

"No, Amber's hindering me and if the rest of the group finds out I stole those stones, they'll never want to have anything to do with me again," said Joy.

"That's a pity," said Omar sarcastically.

"So there's nothing I can do for you," said Joy.

"But I'm not worried about that at all. I've got exactly what you need," said Omar.

Omar pulled out the box of dominoes and handed them to Joy.

What is Omar up to? Why is he giving the stones back? And will Joy take them?
