House of Stones:

Joy was still in the park. Joy was confused why Omar gave her the stones back.

"But I sold them to you," said Joy.

"And now I'm give them back to you free of charge, said Omar. See?" I'm quite nice.

Joy hesitantly accepted the box with the stones.

"What am I supposed to do with this?" Asked Joy.

"These stones are going to make your friends interact with you again," said Omar.

"You want me to give this to them? Asked Joy.

"No, to Ade Rutter, he'll pick them up, said Omar.

"Fabian's uncle," said Joy.

"Uh-huh. I'm going to call him in a minute and I'll tell him I want to buy those stones from him as soon as possible and he'll come and pick them up. And you can bet he won't be happy when he hears that his nephew has lost his stones," said Omar.

"And where am I supposed to say I got them?" Asked Joy.

"You're a pretty good liar, I'm sure will use your imagination to come up with something," said Omar, as he walked away.

In the meantime in the house. Jerome and Mara were in Jerome's room, preparing for the meeting of the candidates.

"They're all coming," said Jerome.

"Now let's hope that these meeting can actually happen," said Mara.

"It's gonna be okay," said Jerome.

"Will it? You've seen how strict Mr. Sweet is now that Victor is sick," said Mara.

"If we come up with a good story, we'll be fine," said Jerome.

"Let's give it a try," said Mara.

Jerome put his laptop away and walked with Mara to the kitchen where Mr. Sweet was making dinner.

"Mr. Sweet can we ask you something?" Asked Mara.

"Ask away," said Mr. Sweet.

"May we invite some people over?" Asked Mara.

"Invite them to a party or something?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"No, it's for Trudy," said Mara.

"Trudy?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"We've got Trudy signed up on a dating site and we want to invite some of the best candidates for an interview," said Jerome.

"But you know Victor's not well and you want to invite strange men to the house," said Mr. Sweet.

"We'll have the meetings in the garden and we won't let them in the house, so they can't bother Victor," said Jerome.

"All right, then. But if it gets too crowded I will personally send all those men away," said Mr. Sweet.

"We won't bother you," said Mara.

"You're lucky I'm a bit of a sucker for love," said Mr. Sweet.

"Thanks Sweetie," said Jerome.

"I beg your pardon?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"I mean Mr. Sweet," said Jerome.

"We're outside of school, but even then you call me Mr. Sweet and not Sweetie," said Mr. Sweet.

A few minutes later. Joy came home. Joy closed the door and leaned against it, thinking back to her conversation with Omar and what he wanted her to do. Joy was so deep in thought that she didn't notice Nina, Amber and Patricia standing by the stairs.

"Are you okay?" Asked Nina.

"Hey," said Joy, as she hid her bag behind her back. "I hadn't seen you guys at all."

"Yeah, we figured that out after calling you three times without an answer," said Amber.

"What were you thinking of?" Asked Nina.

"Uh…," said Joy, not being able to come up with something.

"Otis, of course," said Patricia.

"Otis?" Asked Joy.

"Your boyfriend," said Amber.

"Oh, right. Yeah, I was thinking about Otis," lied Joy.

"Are you okay?" Asked Nina, as she noticed that Joy was behaving weird.

"Yeah, sure. Life goes on, even without the club," said Joy.

"Yeah, good thinking Joy," said Patricia.

"Like right now, I'm gonna go do my homework," said Joy.

Joy said bye to the three girls and walked quickly upstairs. Nina, Amber and Patricia looked after her.

"Told you so, she's acting strange," said Amber.

"I think she was a little uncomfortable, which made perfect sense after this afternoon," said Patricia, as she looked at Amber.

"Well, I don't know," said Amber.

In the meantime. Fabian, Aaron and Alfie were turning Fabian's whole room upside down trying to find stones, but they found nothing. Frustrated, Fabian hit his closet door.

"Where could those things possibly be?" Asked Fabian.

Alfie searched the drawers of the desk and found the three stones embedded in the wall.

"I've got them! But there are only three of them," said Alfie.

"No, no, those are the stones that were in the wall," said Fabian.

"But that's better than nothing," said Alfie.

"Alfie, without the rest of it, these things aren't worth anything," said Fabian.

"You just can't stand that I've found more than you," teased Alfie.

"Look, this isn't a competition, guys, so just calm down," said Aaron.

"Calm down? If I don't find those stones my uncle will be furious," said Fabian.

"Then let's keep looking," said Aaron.

The three boys continued searching and at the same time Nina, Amber and Patricia entered the room and saw the messy room.

"You still haven't found anything?" Asked Nina.

"No," said Fabian.

"We haven't found anything either, not in Patricia's room or in the attic, said Nina.

"I don't know what to do anymore! If I... as my uncle," said Fabian, as he sat down on his bed and he began to feel more frustrated by the minute.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay," said Nina, as she sat down next to Fabian, to comfort him.

"How? My uncle entrusts me with those stones and what do I do...," said Fabian, not even being able to finish his sentence.

"You lose them," said Alfie.

"Alfie!" Said Aaron, as he punched Alfie on his arm for his comment

"Maybe he'll understand, he's family," said Nina.

"And he's quite old, maybe he's forgotten it already," said Alfie.

"Yeah, and you can always distract him. It's not like he's going to just walk in," said Amber.

"What are the odds of that?" Asked Alfie.

At that very same moment there was a knock at the door and Ade walked into Fabian's room. The club looked at Ade with shocked wide eyes. Fabian began to feel even more nervous.

In the meantime. KT was in her room and was drawing. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," said KT.

"Hey, said Eddie, as he entered the room.

"Hey, Eddie," said KT.

"Is Mara here?" Asked Eddie.

"No, she's with Jerome in his room," said KT.

"Oh, I needed to ask her about the school paper," said Eddie.

"Then you should go to Jerome's room or wait until she's finished," said KT.

"I'll wait for her then," said Eddie.

While Eddie sat down in the chair. Joy walked out of her room with her bag, which contained the box with stones, and went downstairs.

Back in Fabian's room, the whole club looked at Fabian's uncle with nervous glances.

"Uncle Ade," said Fabian, nervously.

"Fabian, sorry to bother you, but I can't wait until tomorrow," said Ade.

"With what can't you wait until tomorrow?" Asked Fabian.

"Good news, I just got in touch with the buyer of the domino stones, which I told you at school. He wants them today," said Ade.

"Today?" Asked Fabian

"Yes, today. I'll spare you the boring details, but I can tell you it's a lot of money," said Ade.

"A lot of money?" Mouthed Fabian.

"Yes, that's why I'm getting the stones now, so you don't have to come tomorrow," said Ade.

Fabian was silent and looked at the three stones he had in his hand.

"Is there something wrong?" Fabian? Asked Ade.

"I... I must tell you something," said Fabian.

"You still have that game, don't you?" Asked Ade.

Fabian was about to tell his uncle the truth when Joy entered the room.

"The stones are...," said Fabian.

"Sir here they are," said Joy, as she took the box with stones out of her bag.

The club looked at Joy with puzzled faces as she handed the box with domino stones to Fabian's uncle. Joy quickly walked out of the room.

"I was already starting to get scared. Well then I'll be off," said Ade. "Will you visit again soon my boy? You too Nina?"

"Yeah, sure," said Nina.

"Uncle Ade," said Fabian.

"Yes," said Ade.

"These go with it," said Fabian, as he handed the three domino stones to Ade.

"Thanks, my nephew," said Ade.

Ade looked around and saw what a mess Fabian's room was.

"I must say I'm surprised at how your room look," said Ade.

"Well, I..," said Fabian.

But before Fabian could finish his sentence, Ade walked out of the room. Fabian closed his door and sighed out of relief.

In the meantime. Otis was in his room reading a comic book, Jerome and Mara walked into his room.

"Otis can we ask you something?" Asked Mara.

"Depends on what it is," said Otis.

"Tonight we've invited the potential candidates for Trudy and we need your help with that," said Mara.

"You didn't invite the one person Alfie suggested, did you?" Asked Otis.

"What suggestion are you talking about?" Asked Jerome.

Otis picked up the stack of profiles and looked for Alfie's suggestion.

"This is the one I'm talking about, Ruben is a man of 51, likes beach walks and good conversations," said Otis, as he read Ruben's profile.

"That doesn't sound bad. Why didn't we invite that one in the first place?" Asked Jerome.

"Because he has a great fear of women," said Otis.

"Oh, yeah, that's a good reason," said Jerome.

"But what exactly do you need my help with?" Asked Otis.

"Maybe you could film the whole thing so we could watch it later," said Mara.

"Yeah, sure, no problem," said Otis.

A few minutes later. Joy was in her room and then the club walked in.

"Hey," said Joy.

"Hi, said Amber.

"Did everything go okay with your uncle?" Asked Joy.

"It went well. But we were just wondering something," said Fabian.

"What was it?" Asked Joy.

"How did you get those stones?" Asked Aaron.

"I found them in Victor's office. He had taken something from me and I wanted it back and then I found them. I think he stole them when he was ransacking the rooms," said Joy.

"Of course, that must be it. That we didn't think of that sooner," said Nina.

"But what would Victor want with those stones?" Asked Amber.

"You never know with Victor, of course," said Joy.

"But I don't understand," said Amber.

"Don't understand what?" Asked Joy.

"How did you know that Fabian's uncle came over for those stones and how did you know about the stones at all?" Asked Amber.

"Last year I saw Patricia looking at them and I knew they were from Fabian's uncle's shop, so when I saw his uncle coming I grabbed the stones to give them to him," said Joy.

"But I still don't get it," said Amber.

"What don't you understand now Amber? Asked Joy.

"I don't understand you? First you don't want to have anything to do with the club and now you act like this, said Amber.

"Like I said, things have changed and I've learned from my mistakes, said Joy.

Amber turned to the club who were looking at her with reproachful glances.

"Yes, okay you can join the club," said Amber.

"Really?" Asked Joy.

"Really," said Fabian.

"Welcome to the club," said Alfie.

Joy got pulled in for a group hug. Only Amber wasn't part of the group hug, but eventually got pulled in by Aaron.

"Sibuna," said Fabian, while he did the Sibuna gesture.

"Sibuna," said Joy, while she did the Sibuna gesture.

"Sibuna," said the rest of the club while the did the Sibuna gesture.

Joy had managed to join the club. But now she had to play the spy. Will she pass on all the secrets of the club to Omar? And does the club really trust Joy?
