"You open your heart knowing that there's a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that's so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting, and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life."- Nicholas Flamel.

The purpose chapter 51 A wizarding festival

July 20th ,1975 3:41 am

Seth had not moved from his position since when he fell asleep. He had been spooning Corban, with a protective arm around him and his other arm below his pillow. Corban's dark blond hair was untied, and he could still smell the shampoo he used everyday. Even then, he still and has always smelled like pine and autumn leaves. He opened his eyes to a complete darkness since the sun had yet to come up. Vampires could still see in the dark better than humans, although they mostly relied on their developed hearing. Corban's heartbeat was slow and steady, just like his breathing. Seth never understood why he needed so little sleep compared to him. Vampires in general almost needed none, but Corban had always been a heavy sleeper, even before he turned him.

Seth pulled him closer with his arm around him and kissed his shoulder blade. Corban's steady breathing changed to someone waking up. Corban stirred, then turned around to kiss his lover properly.

*Morning breath should not exist.*Whined Corban in his thoughts.

*Apart from scourgify in your mouth, you know something else?*Thought Seth, not letting go of Corban's lips anyway.

Corban made a mental shrug and passed a hand in Seth's hair, pushing his face harder on his lips. Seth's left hand was on his lover's back and he pushed him closer, now feeling his erection against his own, for they had been naked since the night before. Seth's hand went down to Corban's bum and squeezed it firmly, bringing guttural sounds from him. The King rolled over Corban and began to kiss his jaw, then nibbled on his ear as Corban's hands were now ruffling on his back, his legs already locked on his bottoms. Seth passed his tongue on the neck before him, taking his sweet time, grazing a tooth on a bulging vein, and kissing it again. He moved his hips, brushing their erection together, loving to hear Corban's moans and pleas to pass into action. Corban stared into black eyes, moving his hands on Seth's face, and pulling him to a kiss again, passing his tongue on the sharp teeth on his Sire. Seth sucked on the bleeding tongue for a few seconds, then he wanted more and broke the kiss only to sink his teeth in Corban's neck.

*Merlin, I'll never tire of this.*Said Corban softly as the pleasuring venom swarmed into his body, reaching every nerves and cells to the tip of his toes.

Seth stopped drinking the blood and passed his tongue again on the neck to heal the wounds. He grabbed his already leaking member and placed it upon Corban's readied entrance and pushed his hips slowly at first. Corban moaned again as Seth moved his hips in a steadier rhythm. His hands were keeping him steady, placed on either side of Corban's head, fingers digging in the covers.

*Corban.*Growled Seth in Parseltongue.

Pleasuring shivers passed through Corban's body. He only heard his name spoken in Parseltongue whenever Seth had sex, even if it was with another partner. He stared at his King moving over him, his closed eyes and opened mouth making grunts and moans, only spiking his lust and love for him. Only the sight of him could be enough to climax, and he was already on the verge of exploding as Seth's belly was rubbing on his erection repetitively, following his movements. He grabbed Seth's head and pulled him into another kiss as cum filled his insides and in between them. Incoherent thoughts went back and forth towards the two.

Seth laid half on his lover for a moment, never letting go of the mouth he simply love to take, to bite and lick with passion. He pulled out and laid down beside Corban, not without first waving his hand twice to wandlessly vanish their fluids.

*Don't we have to be super early at that event you have been preparing for months?*Asked Corban after a few minutes.

Seth nuzzled into his neck and caressed his torso.

*One more minute. We will be passing ten days with ministry workers. I'm not even sure I'll sleep during those days. So, let me have that one minute.*Grunted Seth.

Corban chuckled and caressed Seth's hair.

OoOoO

Colpy was a good elf.

He always knew when his masters were awake. He always knew where to be in the room without them noticing. He had learned to use his magic to hide his heartbeat and his steps. The clothes were always cleaned and changed within a few hours of his masters discarding them on the chair, or on the floor when they were intimate. They never drank water, but Master Yaxley always took his tea in the morning, and he always took it in the living room with the daily prophet on the small table beside his favorite sofa. His master never missed to say 'Thank you Colpy' every single time. Even when he had asked Padry to do it for Mr. Yaxley one morning, his master had said 'Thank you Padry' and he had smiled. He had wondered how his master had known, until he had said 'I can smell you, Colpy, as I can smell Padry.' Not without laughing, and that had warmed his heart hearing his master happy.

Seth was very different. He saw him drink heavily, with often a book in his hand. Sleeping very little and mostly relying on cleaning spells as he was too busy or distracted to think about taking a shower, where Colpy would gently suggest the idea. His master was gentle and always had been. Colpy also knew what terrible and powerful master laid under that gentleness. He was well aware of the war going on, and how Seth was involved with the Dark Lord and the deatheaters, but Colpy would die before revealing any secrets of his masters. Even more than that, he would defend his home and its inhabitants with his life.

Kodrey was the one to take care of the muggles. He knew when one was sick and needed tending to. He knew who to send for the vampire to feed on. He also spoke with Master Steven and Mistress Galea for the supply renewal for the castle. They had been very happy to lend that work to Kodrey, since now they could do other things for their King or for their own pleasure. The muggles had been very kind to him after they had stopped fearing the house-elves, which had not been long. They gladly helped him to see their routine, and he had helped them doing most things magically.

Padry was more the one to take care of the terrain, which also meant the wards. He tended to the stables and the marina. When his chores were done, he took care of the muggles too, along with Kodrey. The three of them cleaned the castle everyday and took on the habits of everyone, but especially their two masters and their one mistress.

And so, on this day, Colpy knew what his masters needed to do and where they needed to be. He had placed clothes for Master Seth worthy of his statute on the chair beside the dresser. His masters had both had their fill with servants and after Seth had showered with his other master, he looked at Corban who was brushing and placing Seth's hair into a braid, wondering about the look they shared for one another.

*Colpy. Have I received Mr. Scamander's answer to my letter?*Asked Seth.

*Oh, yes Master. Right here.*Said Colpy, snapping his fingers.

A letter appeared in Colpy's hand, which he gave to Seth. Seth took it and read it.

Mr. Vulken,

I have already taken the means of transportation, but your portkey is most welcome. It will be a pleasure to see you again today. It has always been my goal to show wizards how I see creatures, and this can be just another occasion to do so. – Newt Scamander

Seth smiled and looked at Corban before moving his hand to Corban's face and placing a strand of his hair behind his ear. Corban made a snort at his gesture, then they made their way to the living room where Darthael, Vincent, Brian, Steven, and Galea had been chatting.

*Ready for five kilometers of entertainment?*Asked Seth to the vampires.

Seth was talking about the five square kilometers that the ministry had been working on in Dartmoor, where the usual World Quidditch Cup was being held. They shrugged, not really knowing what was wanted from them.

*Is Ruma coming with her boyfriend?*Wondered Darthael.

*They will when it is actually open, which is tomorrow. Today, is to make sure everything is set.*Said Seth, who looked at them one after the other.*You know… I've set up a building with your names on rooms, where for five galleon out of our pockets, wizards can choose one of you and get fed on… and whatever they feel like doing. Does that lighten up your mood?*Added Seth with a grin.

They widened their eyes in response.

*What? And you think they will be interested? Wizards still fear us in case you have forgotten.*Said Galea.

Seth went close to her, detecting something she was not telling him. He had known them all his life, or rather they did, being older than him. She made a light gasp as he lifted his hand towards her, but quickly made a soft exhale as he cupped her cheek.

*I have not forgotten, Galea. Let us be surprised by the curiosity of human nature. If there is something you need to tell me…*Said Seth as he looked again to all of them.*You can always count on me to listen to all of you equally.*He added, removing his hand from Galea's face.*This event I helped organised, will help make wizards more aware of us, and make them see how we always belonged as equally to any of them.*

*It's true for me though.*Said Vincent with a shrug.*At the ministry, they don't even seem to realise I am not a wizard, and it is very pleasant.*He added, and Brian snorted.

*Yeah, it can be very funny when they do realize I am a vampire.*Said Brian before imitating in a high pitch voice ministry workers.*Oh, Brian! Want to come have lunch with us? Oh, Brian! You want anything from the trolley?*Chuckled Brian before his voice went back to normal.*Sure Suzanne, you are offering? And then, they pause and look at me for a few seconds, and their faces change to a nice red… mmm, anyway, we can't have multiple Hopkirk at the ministry, huh Vincent?*Finished Brian before nudging Vincent on the shoulder.

*She stayed after work just to have a go yesterday. Kinda distracting enough from the pile of papers on my desk. No matter how much I spend my time in my office to clear them off… you would be amazed at how many wizards break their stupid laws. Many of which I have to discard because they are not worth the ministry's time… especially now.*Said Vincent, licking his lips.

*That's the thing I love about my pubs, it does not feel like work. I drink, smoke, and shag all day, without a fucks given.*Said Darthael.*And if we don't leave anytime soon, I'm outta here. Let me see that building you speak of, Seth.*Added Darthael before biting his lip.

Seth rolled his eyes and placed a muggle pen in front of him where they all touched it with a finger, then he clicked the button on top before saying 'Dartmoor'. They appeared in a field where hundreds of tents were dressed. To the other side of the field was a five meters high wooden fence and seem to go so far, they could not see the end.

*Why a fence so high?*Asked Darthael.

*Because of magical creatures, mostly. Also, because runes are amazingly easy to fit on the wood and spell the whole area protected from muggles. It is so dangerous for them for what I did in there, that they are not allowed, and they won't be able to see that structure. To them, they would only see the tents, but even then, there are muggle repellant charms all over Dartmoor park.*Explained Seth.

A ministry worker with whom Seth had worked with apparated beside them.

*Mr. Vulken! There you are! We have set the lists of every wizard coming for the next week. I just can't believe it; we have already paid off the whole event!*Said Allen as he handed to Seth several pages of parchment.

Seth took a quick look at it with a grin before handing them over to Brian.

*That does not surprise me, Allen. Tell me, is there anyone not coming?*Asked Seth.

Allen shook his head negatively.

*No one has replied negatively among the ministries from other countries.*Said Allen.

*Good. Shall we?*Asked Seth as he gestured towards the entrance of the park.

*Certainly!*Cheered Allen.

The wizard walked backwards, to continue to speak to Seth, as they walked to the entrance of the park. Allen was talking about the security and how they had enchanted six pillars at the entrance for the wizards to simply tell their names where a black rectangle on each pillar would tell who paid or not, who worked there, and even the day they had paid to be there. He said that security had been verified with actual muggles and all spells had worked successfully. Allen bumped into someone and mumbled excuses.

*None taken!*Said Newt Scamander. *We can't enter yet.*Added Newt as he now looked at Seth.

His wife and son were beside him, looking at the impressive park, then at the vampires.

*Mr. Scamander, you came quicker than I thought, and with your family.*Said Seth as he took the woman's hand beside Newt and placed a kiss on it.*Porpentina Scamander, yes? We briefly met, or rather seen, thirty years ago. I never forget a face.*Added Seth where she answered with a frown.

*I'm sorry, I don't remember.*Said Tina, slightly blushing.

*Understandable. We only stayed in New York to eliminate a threat most wizards were not even aware of. You may remember my father's name: Nathaniel. He is in the park where the magical creatures are, along with the magizoologist Naasz.*Said Seth with a smile.

Newt seemed delighted with the prospect. Porpentina shook her head at the mention of the old King.

*Can we enter now?*Asked their impatient son behind Tina.

*Just say your names out loud beside a pillar, young man.*Said Allen.

*Frank Scamander.*Said Frank and his name appeared in green on the black rectangle on the closest pillar.

*Newt Scamander.*

*Porpentina Scamander.*

Their names appeared in green, and Seth gestured towards the park.

*After you.*Said Seth.

*That is amazing security. Knowing everyone who enters the park.*Said Porpentina.

*That was the purpose, and general rule, with everything going on… security is at its maximum.*Said Seth.

*You would think that Dark Lord of yours would do anything here?*Asked Tina.

Seth stopped walking, then looked at her with a serious look.

*He is more dangerous than Grindelwald, if that can help you see the situation a little better. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have places to be.*Said Seth before pausing again, and this time turning towards Newt.*Oh, Mr. Scamander. May I strongly suggest you all refrained from seeing the seer Dalex. Other than that, I really hope you do enjoy yourself.*Added Seth before walking away, followed by the vampires and Corban.

A music began to play and the Scamanders were looking around looking for the source.

*Isn't that a wonderful invention? Miss Vulken, err, his grand-daughter, along with a young man called Severus Snape invented an incantation to block the magic around a muggle device that can play music! We have placed more than fifty of those all around the vicinity! That is, if the young group Bizarr' Sisters are not playing music.*Said Allen proudly.

*Grand-daughter?*Mumbled Tina under her breath, unheard by the others.

Allen cleared his throat, then pointed towards different sorts of small buildings.

*There is a map in the center here, to help you get situated. There are several apparition points because of the large park, but also brooms can be rented at the center over there. There is a market to the left about a kilometer length of it. There is a Quidditch pitch at the far end… different magical shows and entertainments. Something new in the middle of the park is the vampire area, where a seer can be found, and also a small house made to… inform the wizarding world about the vampires... About a kilometer from here to your right, you can see the creatures domain, where you can ask for Naasz, and assist her with them. Beside that, there is waterslides and a giant pool! Anyway, I'll let you explore… there is more than I can tell you! You are very lucky to be guests of Mr. Vulken. Have a very good stay, and enjoy yourselves.*Said Allen, then bowed curtly and apparated away.

Tina seemed lost in thoughts, then turned towards her husband.

*Why would Seth tell us not to go see that vampire seer?*Asked Tina.

Newt looked at her, then sighed.

*Love, probably because you already know the answer to that, and that we should listen to him. I would not fancy seeing the reason, or tempting it, would you?*Asked Newt.

Anger flashed behind her eyes before she scoffed.

*It just… can't be.*Said Tina angrily.

*Well… we can't do anything about it. Let's go see what we were asked to see.*Said Newt.

*Dad! What's this about?*Asked Frank.

*Nothing Frank, let's go.*Said Tina.

Frank grumbled under his breath, placing his hands in his pockets.

OoOoO

The next day, the wizards arrived by the hundreds, then they were already thousands. Seth had stayed at the entrance for the first two hours, greeting the multiple ministry officials from other countries, but also seeing the few vampire leaders he had last seen during a meeting his father had when he was King. His father had joined him, staring silently at the wizards who were looking at them curiously.

*You could look more cheerful; you are scaring them.*Said Seth with a grin.

*If I do, they will run.*Answered Nathaniel with his blank face.

Seth laughed, then saw a very happy Ruma running towards them. She hurried to hug Nathaniel briefly, then backed away shyly.

*Sorry. I-I'm happy to see you.*Said Ruma, passing a hand through her hair.

Nathaniel had a faint smile and eyed the man beside her, presenting his hand towards him where he shook it briefly and respectfully.

*I am Nathaniel, Seth's father. And you are?*Inquired Nathaniel.

*Severus Snape, sir.*Answered Severus, who eyed the crown over Nathaniel's head, then Seth's before looking at Ruma with confusion.

*It's okay, Sev, he won't eat you.*She laughed.*Let's just go have fun, I want to see everything. Cya later!*She added to Seth and Nathaniel.

Severus waved at them nervously before joining Ruma. Nathaniel looked at him go, then eyed Seth with a raised eyebrow.

*They seem to be… together. He has become a very capable Occlumens as I just noticed.*Seth hummed, lost in thoughts.

*Is he dangerous for her?*Asked his father.

*Are you her father?*Replied Seth with amusement.

*Hmph. Someone who can hide their mind can hide anything, until you know his true intentions by drinking his blood. If you don't do it, I will. No one touches my heir, without my approval.*Said Nathaniel seriously.

*No need for that.*Sighed Seth.*I know he is in love with her. If you knew what happened in January, you would have killed everyone then. She was the victim of a ritual where she had to drink blood.*Said Seth.

There was a moment of silence where they only looked at the wizards coming in. Seth could feel his father's anger but knew too well he controlled it perfectly.

*I assume she is cured now?*Asked Nathaniel coldly.

*Obviously.*Answered Seth.*I went to Hogwarts when I was informed. Muggle blood made her sick, but she found that magical blood sustained her better, and he was there for her.*Said Seth.

His father made a groan in response, but also suddenly smelled the air and growled.

*There is a werewolf nearby.*Said the old King.

Seth gazed at the crowd until he saw the werewolf in question. He had stumbled upon him in diagon alley before Ruma started Hogwarts but had also caught a glimpse of him when he had gone to see Dumbledore on a Halloween day. He chuckled at the memory.

*A young fresh out of Hogwarts if I remember correctly. I heard sometimes Ruma talk about him, and his three close friends.*Said Seth as he looked around the young wizard and saw whom Ruma had spoken about.*There is a Black there, hmm, Regulus's brother, he looks just like him. I don't know who the two others are, but I see Lord Potter with them… oh.*Realised Seth before making a short laugh.

He had not paid attention during the charity ball, but now, seeing the young Potter heir and the old Charlus Potter made him realise he had killed his son, Fleamont Potter. On that same night, he had killed Maugrey's sister and mother. That was almost eighteen years ago… and the Potter boy must have been just a baby, which had not been in the house, or perhaps he had been under some hiding spells. Nathaniel looked at his son and frowned.

*What did you do?*Asked the old King.

*Im belth- hon réd.*Said Seth in Venthyr.

*Why?*Asked his father.

Wizards passed in front of them, glancing curiously at the two vampires. Some shyly said a greeting or passed comments about their presence or looks. The ones that actually feared them passed through the entrance by the most distant pillar.

*Let's just say I did it for him, at that time. I held a grudge for a long time against aurors, for what they did to us.*Said Seth in a barely audible whisper, which his father could hear anyway.*I still do… last time he brought aurors to our castle, I indulged in my anger.*Added Seth.

Nathaniel stayed silent for a little while, then went in front of his son and cupped his face with both his hands. Seth frowned at his touch.

*Dár ha. I did too.*Said Nathaniel, bringing down his hands.*Only you can find the strength to forgive. I have not lived for five hundred years only to see my kind endure through your misplaced wrath.*Sighed his father.

Seth wanted to retorque, but his father had left already. He made a frustrated sigh before making his way to the designated vampire area. He mentally asked Corban to find Allen to replace him at the entrance. A grin appeared on his face when he saw the long line-up that led to the building mentioning you could feed a vampire and be given five galleons for it. He had designed it with an age line. Only ones above seventeen years old could offer their blood. The wizards eyed Seth and muttered hopeful wishes as he went inside. The rooms had silencing and privacy runes embedded in their doors. Darthael's room door opened to let through a very dishevelled witch with a pleased smile on her lips. Darthael appeared behind her with a smirk, now eyeing Seth.

*Best thing you did there, Seth. They won't even accept the galleons after I'm done with them.*Said Darthael with amusement.

*Well, it was amazing! I don't know much about vampires, but WOW! I'd come back everyday just for that.*Said the woman.

*Don't forget to take a blood replenishing potion before going out. They are free and there for that.*Reminded Seth to her.

*Right… Hey, have a nice day Mr. Darthael.*Added the woman before making her way out and after taking a potion from the designated table.

Another client immediately entered after the woman had gone out. It was a blond short-haired man with a small beard, dressed in a wizard robe. His eyes drifted from Seth to Darthael before frowning.

*Isn't there a woman vampire too?*Asked the man.

Galea's door opened and a black-haired woman went out. She looked happy, smiling to the others as she made her way to the table and took a potion before going out.

*Well, seems she's available.*Said Darthael with a smirk.

The man walked to Galea's room and closed the door behind him.

*Feels like a brothel, don't you think?*Snickered Darthael.

*Awfully so.*Said Seth.

Another woman entered and her eyes flickered between Darthael and Seth.

*We get to choose?*She asked.

*Do I?*Asked Seth, trying to insult her. Although, She did not seem to realise what he implied. *I need a drink, and that is not going to be you.*Added Seth before going out, leaving a grinning Darthael with the woman.

OoOoO

As the sun was going down, and after several drinks, Seth decided to go see how Gellert was doing in his Seer hut. He spotted the auror Alastor Maugrey by the entrance, clearly keeping an eye on Grindelwald by Dumbledore's orders. There was still a line-up of people in front of the hut. Gellert had taken his so-called brother's name he said he had and hid behind a masquerade mask. When Seth entered the hut, Gellert had his hand on crystal ball, and white eyes glowed behind his mask. Abernathy and Vinda were standing behind their sire. The Potter boy and a woman was with him, and their heads had turned towards him upon his entrance.

*Seems like Dalex is having actual visions for you two.*Said Seth, who was impressed by Gellert.

*We'll see about that.*Said James, not convinced.

Gellert removed his hand from the crystal ball, and his eyes went back to their icy blue. He was breathing faster, making sense in the visions he had just seen. He leaned back in his chair and noticed his King beside the couple.

*Mr. Potter.*Said Gellert softly.*You will have a son, on a day perhaps not so far, with that lovely lady beside you.*

James and Lily looked at each other and smiled dumbly.

*Even in this war, we will have some joy, Lily.*Said James.

*Indeed. Although, I have not seen this just for the fun of it. Your son will be essential to end this war.*Said Gellert.

*What?*Said Lily, now slightly panicking.

*What's wrong with that?*Asked James.

She turned towards him and huffed.

*I don't want to bring a child in this world so he could serve as bait or victim in any of this!*Said Lily.

*I would not worry about something that has not happened, or perhaps will never happen.*Said Seth. They paused in their argument, eyeing Seth, then Gellert.*After all, can you really believe a seer, Mr. Potter?*Asked Seth with a raised eyebrow.

Gellert was smirking, then James dragged Lily out of the hut, not without first tossing five galleons on his table. Seth stared at Gellert and clicked his tongue. He knew Maugrey was right outside and heard everything and could also hear anything being said.

*Cin reallui gar- i lór?*Asked Seth in Venthyr.

*A o' limb haer*Answered Gellert.

Seth went around the table and placed his hands on Gellert's chair armrests.

*'ould cin treneri- nin fa nad eri- na nin?*Asked Seth, frowning.

Gellert pursed his lips and looked away briefly.

*Baw. Because it has to happen.*Said Gellert.

Seth gritted his teeth and anger, with thoughts of grabbing Gellert by the neck, and forcing the information out of him. He knew he could simply order him to tell him everything, but he also knew that the future or time should not be messed with.

*How dare would you even let anything happen, Gellert?*Hissed Seth in parseltongue making Gellert flinch. His magic pulsed around him, and no one had understood his hissing. He took a deep breath and backed away.*I'm trying to make a future for us, and you would let something happen to me?*Added Seth dryly.

Gellert removed his mask and placed it on the table.

*Even if I told you, you would still…*Gellert sighed and stood up.*Let it go, Seth. It's not today, and it's not for several years anyway. Until then…*Mumbled Gellert almost inaudibly.

Seth exhale through his nose, then stormed out of the hut. Gellert heard Maugrey tell the waiting wizards in line-up that the seer was closed for the night and several whines were heard. A loud music could now be heard outside.

*Seems like the concert has begun.*Said Vinda with a hopeful voice.

*Just go, Vinda, Abernathy. Have fun.*Said Gellert before passing a hand on his face.

His two childes removed their masks and cloaks, tossing them on the chairs and left the hut. Gellert sat back down on his chair and stared at the crystal ball.

*Harry James Potter.*Whispered Gellert.

Venthyr translation

*Im belth- hon réd.*

I killed his son.

*Dár ha.*

Stop it.

*Cin reallui gar- i lór?*

You really had that vision?

*A o' limb haer.*

And so much more.

*'ould cin treneri- nin, fa nad eri- na nin?*

Would you tell me if something happened to me?

Baw.

No.
