House of Artifacts:
The next day. The club sat at the table and were having breakfast and still felt over the moon that they passed the task.
"Can you believe we did that?" Asked Patricia.
"No, I still can't believe that we manage to pass, that task was so scary," said Amber.
"It was incredible," said Alfie.
"What a rush that was," said Joy.
"Aaron, how did you figure out that we had to follow the rhythm of the device?" Asked Nina.
"I don't know how to explain it, I just felt it," said Aaron.
"I think it has to do with because you make music and you're a dancer," said Fabian.
"So that means I've good sense of rhythm," said Aaron.
"Yes thank gosh you've because that's what saved us from falling into the abyss," said Amber.
"I'm so curious, to what the next task is," said Patricia.
"Me too," said Alfie.
"I've a feeling they're getting more and more dangerous," said Nina.
"I think so, too. The closer we get to the mask, the harder the task are going to be," said Fabian.
"I don't like the sound of that," said Amber.
"Amber, it's gonna be okay. As long as we have each other, we can do this," said Aaron.
"How about we use the next artifact right after school," suggested Fabian.
"Artifact?" Asked Joh.
"Yeah, that little blue bottle that appeared after we finished the task," said Patricia.
"Oh, so that's what those things are called," said Joy.
"Yes, and if we empty it into the chimney, the roof will pop open and we'll get a new clue and it'll lead us to that piece of paper we need to put on the blank areas," said Patricia.
"And then we get a task?" asked Joy.
"Yes," said Patricia.
"I can't right after school, said Alfie.
"What do you mean you can't?" asked Nina.
"I've got two hours detention," said Alfie.
"What did you do?" Asked Amber.
"Well here is the funny thing, I kinda got detention because of something that I didn't do," said Alfie.
"Why do you have detention?" Asked Aaron.
"I didn't do my geography paper, and Mr. Coleman wasn't too happy about it," said Alfie.
"All right, we'll do it after Alfie returns from detention, We need to get on with the tasks as soon as possible," said Fabian.
"Yes, because the sooner we get to the mask, the sooner we get rid of that Senkhara lady," said Amber.
"Yeah, then you guys are rid of her," said Joy, feeling guiltier and guiltier knowing that she was betraying the club.
"Let's head to school, otherwise we all will get detention," said Patricia.
"Yeah, let's go," said Nina.
The club grabbed their bags and headed to school.
A few hours later and the residents were having their lunch break. During the break Joy was at her locker and called with Omar.
"And?" Asked Omar.
"I did the task with the club yesterday and we passed it," said Joy.
"And do you have the next clue?" Asked Omar.
"No, I haven't yet. But we're going to empty the artifact into the mini house after school," said Joy.
"Artifact, mini house?" Asked Omar.
"If we pass the task, we get a new artifact and if you empty it into the mini house you get a new clue, said Joy.
"I want pictures," said Omar.
"Of what?" Asked Joy.
"Of the mini house, of that artifact thingy and everything that comes with it. And I want the pictures of the secret tunnels you promised you would make," said Omar.
"I trying the best I can," said Joy.
"Try harder," said Omar.
"Someone's coming, I've to hang up," said Joy, as she saw Otis coming her way.
"Get me those pictures fast," said Omar.
"Yeah, yeah, you get them soon, said Joy.
Joy hung up the phone and put it away in her locker.
"Hi," said Joy.
"Hello my Joyful," said Otis.
Otis gave Joy a kiss on her cheek and Joy started to blush. Then Otis noticed the bracelet on Joy's wrist.
"Is that bracelet new?" Asked Otis.
"What bracelet are you talking about?" Asked Joy, as she hid her hand behind her back.
"That blue beaded bracelet you're wearing that you're trying to hide behind your back right now," said Otis.
"Oh, that bracelet," said Joy.
"Why are you being so weird? Are you seeing someone else?" Asked Otis.
"What? No, of course not," said Joy.
"Why are you being so weird about that bracelet?" Asked Otis.
"It belonged to my great aunt, the one who passed away. The one who left me that inheritance," lied Joy.
"But then I still don't understand why you're being so weird," said Otis.
"I thought you'd think it was ugly," said Joy.
"Well, it's not really my taste and I think it's more for elderly ladies. But it looks good on you, but that's because everything looks good on you," said Otis.
"What flattery," said Joy.
"Not flattery, but the truth, my truth at least," said Otis.
"And why would I want another boyfriend? If he could never be as sweet and wonderful as you," said Joy.
"Now this is what I call flattery," said Otis.
"No, that's the truth," said Joy.
Otis smiled and took Joy's hand and together they walked to the drama room.
In the meantime, Mara and Jerome sat in the computer lab and watched back the interviews that Otis had filmed.
"Oh it was much worse than I thought, said Mara.
"Some of them weren't that bad, said Jerome.
"Oh no? Do you think any of these guys are right for Trudy? Asked Mara.
"I liked that Peter guy, said Jerome.
"Peter? The man with 16 steady relationships, said Mara.
"He's rich. That gives him a plus point, said Jerome.
"Trudy deserves real love, not a jerk like him, said Mara.
"Okay, what about Melvin the Magician? He seems like a pretty stand-up guy, said Jerome.
"He was weird, said Mara.
"That makes him perfect for Trudy, joked Jerome.
"Jerome, Trudy needs someone to give her stability, said Mara.
"And you don't think any of these men can provide that?" Asked Jerome.
"No, because these men are all whack jobs," said Mara.
"Aren't you being a little bit too judgmental now?" Asked Jerome.
"Am I? asked Mara.
"Maybe just a little, said Jerome.
"Maybe we should watch the interviews again, maybe I judged a little too fast, said Mara.
"No, please, not again. But we've already watched the interviews four times, said Jerome.
"Yeah, and holding them was bad enough, said Mara.
"So what do you wanna do? Asked Jerome.
"Maybe we should take down Trudy's profile, suggested Mara.
"Oh, come on, maybe we'll find the perfect guy for her someday, said Jerome.
"No Jerome, this is not how we should do it, Internet dating is not the best way to find a man for Trudy, it also doesn't suit her at all, said Mara.
"Then how are you going to find a guy for Trudy? Asked Jerome.
"Maybe we should give this project a rest and move on to something else," said Mara.
"Like what?" Asked Jerome.
"Maybe we should make some time for ourselves, We've been so preoccupied with Trudy lately, we've barely thought about ourselves," said Mara.
"What do you have in mind?" Asked Jerome.
"The two of us could go out to dinner? Or we could go see a movie, and I don't mean sitting in your room, but in a real cinema," said Mara.
"Sounds great," said Jerome. "When are we going?"
"As soon as possible," said Mara.
"I couldn't agree more," said Jerome.
"But first," said Mara.
"Yeah, I got it," said Jerome.
Jerome went to the dating site and went to Trudy's profile and was about to delete it.
"Are you sure about it?" Asked Jerome.
"Yes," said Mara.
"All right, then," said Jerome.
Jerome hit the delete button and Trudy's profile was deleted. Jerome turned of the computer and Mara handed him his bag and together they left the computer lab.
At that same time Patricia was in the drama room doing some homework, Eddie entered the room and sat down next to Patricia.
"What are you up to, Yacker?" Asked Eddie.
"I'm doing homework as you can see," said Patricia.
"I don't mean that," said Eddie.
"What do you mean, Eddie?" Asked Patricia.
"I mean with that club you're in, you're up to something," said Eddie.
"I've no idea what you're talking about," lied Patricia.
"You don't?" asked Eddie in a tone as if he didn't believe Patricia.
"No, I don't," lied Patricia.
"Oh I think you do, because you guys are being secretive, Fabian always walks around with an extra bag and protects that bag like his life depends on it," said Eddie.
"Are you spying on us?" Asked Patricia.
"I want to know what's going on," said Eddie.
"It's none of your business what me and my friends are up to," said Patricia.
"Oh no? Because last time you hide something big was that I was the Osirian," said Eddie.
"Hey, I knew about the Osirian, I had no idea that it was you," said Patricia.
"Just tell me what's going on, because I know what ever it's, it isn't good," said Eddie.
"It's not your concern Eddie," said Patricia.
Patricia grabbed her things and left the drama room, Eddie watched Patricia leave.
"I'll find out what you guys up to, you can certainly count on that Yacker," said Eddie.
In the meantime. Amber and Aaron were standing next to their locker, KT walked past them.
"Hey KT," said Aaron.
KT said nothing back and just ignored Aaron and kept on walking.
"Ouch she's giving you the cold shoulder," said Amber.
"Yes, Amber I noticed," said Aaron.
"But why?" Asked Amber.
"I don't know," said Aaron.
"I thought you guys were hitting it off. You were even going on a moonlight picnic," said Amber.
"Oh no! I didn't show up at the picnic," said Aaron.
"You stood her up," said Amber.
"Not on purpose. I totally forgot, because I was so preoccupied with the doing the task," said Aaron.
"Well you can't tell her that," said Amber.
"I know that Amber," said Aaron.
"So what are you gonna do now?" Asked Amber.
"Make it up to her," said Aaron.
Aaron grabbed his bag and ran after KT.
"KT hold up," said Aaron.
"What do you want Aaron?" Asked KT, as she stopped walking.
"Sorry about missing the picnic," said Aaron.
"Oh so do remember the picnic we were supposed to have together," said an angry KT.
"I'm so sorry that I didn't show up," said Aaron.
"Do you have any idea how I felt when you didn't show up?" Asked KT.
"Angry?" Guessed Aaron.
"Angry, sad, disappointed and humiliated," said KT.
"It was never my intension to miss it. I totally forgot, I had other things on my mind," said Aaron.
"Like what?" Asked KT.
"I can't say, it's complicated," said Aaron.
"Maybe it's complicated for you, but for me it's pretty clear," said KT.
"It is?" Asked Aaron.
"Yes, you don't like me and you wanted to make that painfully clear," said KT.
"KT that's not true," said Aaron.
"Safe it Aaron, I'm done with it, I'm done with you," said KT, as she walked away angry.
"KT, it wasn't my intention to stood you up!" shouted Aaron, to KT, but she just ignored him.
A few hours later, the Anubis residents were back home. The club was in Nina and Amber's room. The club was sitting around the mini house. Fabian grabbed the artifact from his pocket.
Are you guys ready for this? Asked Fabian.
"Yes," said Nina.
Fabian took the cap off the artifact
"Amber," said Alfie.
"Yes," said Amber.
"There's a spider on your shoulder," said Alfie.
Amber started screaming, while Alfie started to laugh. Out of panic Amber slapped the artifact out Fabian's hand and it fell down onto the floor.
"Oh no!" shouted Fabian.
The contents of the artifact lay sprawled on the blanket. Now what? How is the club going to get the next clue now?
