Chapter 2.
Prompts 6-10
ME: Yay! Got another chapter up! And less thrilling, I've got a dentist appointment tomorrow, so wish me luck!
6. Midnight
New year's came and went with its usual fervor, with parties and cheers and kisses all around. None came from Chat Noir, however, no doubt still chastising himself over what was now deemed the "Smudge incident".
But what he refused in physical contact, he made up for with horrendously cheesy happy new year's cat memes and god-awful cat puns. If she didn't know how truly lonely he was this time of year, Marinette would've definitely reconsidered inviting him over.
7. Secrets
The more he started coming over, the harder Marinette found it to keep everything in. Something happened that turned you into Chat Blanc. You destroyed me, Hawkmoth and Paris because of something that happened between you and me. I'm your lady. I think I might be falling for you- But each time the urge came, she just as quickly bit her lip and just answered his occasional seeking glance with a smile.
She never wanted to hate the phrase "Cat got your tongue" more.
8. Princess and Knight AU
He called her "Princess" so frequently whenever he saw her as Marinette, but if he knew how often she ran straight into danger, yo-yo and black spots blazing, she could only imagine how much her leather-clad Black Knight would be blown away. And she didn't even need armor to do it.
9. Blanket
Marinette could only pet him on the head sympathetically as he burrowed himself deep into the thick, hand knit afghan blanket. Having experienced first hand him getting frozen alive into a Chat-sicle for almost two hours by that Snow Fairy Akuma (And in the middle of winter no less) She couldn't blame him her kitty for wanting to stay all tucked up a little longer.
10. Cooking Together
Reading about Onigiri made making them so much more fun than they actually were. The amount of sticky rice that she still kept finding in her hair an hour that night could attest to that. And Chat was hardly any help with him actually gathering so much rice that his gloves wound up getting stuck together; she could imagine the earful that Plagg gave him for that.
But still, the two pain-stakingly made Onigiri, the only two that survived the hands of the klutzy baker and the quite literally sticky-fingered Black Cat, made quite a cute picture. And the little cat ears and whiskers on one and the pair of pigtails and big blueberries on the other were a nice touch, she noted with a smile.
