Per usual, scuffling with his blankets was a favored pastime for the green-eyed boy.
As he moved with the agility of a beach whale, he knocked over a lamp which then lead to quite a scene of mass destruction. Definitely how he wanted to start his morning.
Percy yawned, before scrolling through his phone for any new messages. The harsh daylight of New York City shone through the window of his apartment, causing the glare of the screen to worsen as he shifted in his covers.
The boy groaned, staring at the screen that displayed the time; it read 6:31 AM.
August 20th, the first day of school–even worse–it was the first day of his junior year. He didn't necessarily mind going to school, rather the fact that he had to cram for tests and exams because of his poor habits as a human in general. Which describes practically every other human being alive.
Sure, being home and relaxing was fun but here was no energy to it–not like swimming. Swimming kept him alive, if Percy could, he would be eating, drinking, and sleeping in the water. The cool waves calmed his anxious nerves, it turned him into a completely different person altogether.
Percy ate breakfast quickly, and finished up his toiletries.
On his way out, he gave his mother a kiss on the cheek.
