Chapter 3: Reunited

Norman is sleeping comfortably in his bed. His zombie alarm clock rings, telling him that it's time to wake up. He was a little lazy that day, so he decided to keep on resting. He reflexively rolled over and stretched his arm to turn off his alarm, when it bumped onto his pillow. Until he realised that it's… hard? It did not feel like a pillow whatsoever. Yet it feels smooth, and warm. He squinted his eyes, to see that it was not his pillow indeed. But it's something he did not expect at all. It was a girl, sleeping comfortably next to him. She wears a black dress and has a long, black hair. Her face is round and seems exceptionally familiar to him. Despite this fact, it was still a girl. And he was sure he did not – and wouldn't – allow any girl sleep near him, let alone in the same bed.

He let out a loud shriek and jumped off his bed, hitting the girl in the process. His deceased grandmother flew right through the wall into his room, looking very much worried as her grandson rarely screams, in the same time the girl woke up from her sleep because of the loud scream right next to her and a kick to the face.

"Norman! What's wrong? What happened?" ask his grandma in panic, but soon utter confusion springs onto her face, because a girl she has never seen before is lying on the floor before her.

The girl had regained her consciousness at the time, and she realises what kind of situation she is in. Well, sort of, she actually does not understand anything that's happening around her.

"Wha-? Where am I? What's happening?" says her panicking. She looks around to see that she is not at all in her comfy bedroom with her mom. She is in a bedroom covered with posters of zombies that remind her of the curse she laid on the Seven Judges. She then sees a boy the same age of her, with spiky hair that stands straight up, a boy she cannot possibly forget. "Norman?" asks Aggie.

Norman, in the other hand, are even more confused. He takes a better look at the girl that is standing before him, a girl with black puritan dress and long hair, the girl that was accused of witchcraft 300 years ago.

"Agatha?" says Norman, now even more puzzled than before. "Agatha? Wha- what are you doing here? Why are you here?" ask Norman, confusing Agatha with questions. Agatha, actually had just as much as Norman did.

Then, their barrage of confusion and question were cut by Norman's grandma, whose expression just got slightly angered.

"Norman, who is this girl? Is she your friend?" ask grandma.

"She's Agatha grandma, the girl that I helped on the curse a year ago." Reply Norman. "She's supposed to be… dead."

"Then what is she doing here, in your bedroom?" ask grandma again, now a more desperate for answer. Then, surprisingly, Aggie spoke.

"I- I don't know ma'am, I'm supposed to be… dead."

"You can see me?" asked grandma.

Then, Norman's door bangs open as the rest of his family rushes in. his father, Perry, is holding a frying pan, ready to smack any burglars that is trying to rob their house.

"Where is it Norman!? Where's the thief?" ask Perry. He freezes as he sees not a burglar, but a little girl, in front of him. Norman's mother, Sandra, is just as baffled as her husband. She gasps a little when she sees Aggie. Her eyes scan the room, looking for anything out of the place, even though she finds none, besides the girl in black puritan dress.

Although Norman's sister was the one who finally broke the silence.

"Uhh, excuse me, WHO ARE YOU?" ask Courtney in her usual disrespectful manner.

"So you're saying, that you are the girl "witch" that Norman saved last year?" asked Courtney. Agatha nodded in response.

"And you moved on to the afterlife that day?" asked Sandra. Agatha replied with a little "yes".

"And today you somehow came back to life, and appeared on my son's bed?" ask Perry, more frustrated than the others.

"Uuh, yes…" said Agatha, looking a little scared since Perry's face has gone red, although it has lost its tendencies to explode in anger.

Aggie had just explained everything – that she knows – to the Babcocks. Now they're sitting in the dinner table discussing it. Both Perry and Sandra is thinking about what to do with Aggie. Courtney is just outright disgusted on Agatha. Norman doesn't actually really care, in fact, he's kind of… happy, like his biggest wish came true. He's just wondering how Aggie came back.

"Okay kids, you can wait outside now, we're going to discuss this," said Sandra, after a while of silence. "Yes, Courtney, you too." Add her because Courtney was about to disagree with this. She needs only herself and her husband in this. The three walked out of the room, and after giving a judging look to Aggie, walked up the stairs and went to her room. Norman and Aggie went outside, and after a while of awkward silence, Norman spoke.

"So uh, welcome back… I guess." Said Norman. He doesn't know what to make out of this. The girl that he's been visiting the grave of for a year came back to life, and now he feels more than simply "happy" for her return, but something else, like they were, close friends that had been separated for a very long time. But he also fears something else. What if this is not the real Agatha? What had brought her back? And what is he going to do now? Or even how long will Agatha live? A day? A month? A year? Is she fully alive without restrictions?

Agatha, in the other side, feels a little sad, but also a little excited, that she's now alive with flesh and bones. But her mind is not free of concern. How did she come back? Does it have any consequences? Where will she live and who will take care of her? What would her mother feel when she knows that she's back in the mortal world?

"Yeah, thank you." Replied her.

"So, how does it feel? Coming… back?" Ask Norman, trying to break the silence.

"To be honest, I didn't feel anything, although, it's a little bit weird being… alive again." She said. More silence came. Something is clogging Norman's throat, he wanted to say it, but he didn't have the courage. He collected as much bravery as he could, and spew out the words before his mind could hold it.

"Aggie, I… miss you. A lot. I'm really glad that you're back, although I expected you to come back near your tree, hehe." He said it, the sentence that has been stuck in his mouth since he realised that Aggie is back. He blushed a little doing it.

"Thanks, Norman. And sorry, for me being in… your bed…" said Aggie, also blushing, a little more than Norman, because she was the one in his bed, and Aggie also misses Norman, but she didn't dare saying it.

"So uh, how's life? Afterlife? How are you?" Ask Norman.

"Oh it's very great, I can spend the whole day with my mommy. She would play with me, she would tell stories, and she would sing me a lullaby before going to sleep," Said Aggie. "What would happen to her now? That I'm not there. I hope she's fine." Says Aggie, now she starts to sob a little.

"Hey, don't worry," calm Norman, "we'll figure this out together. After all, I believe your mommy can take care of herself." Aggie now feels slightly better, she smiled a bit.

"Thanks Norman. What about you? How are you?" ask Aggie in return.

"Well, it's not so bad. People don't hate me so much now that they know all those ghost stuff I've been saying was true. But not so much is different though." Replied Norman. In his surprise, Aggie's face looked a little upset.

"They bullied you too? Oh dear." said Aggie. Apparently she thought people would've changed and accepted people like her more.

"Oh, don't worry. It's nothing, I've gotten used to it now, and they've stopped doing it." Answered Norman, reassuring Agatha.

"He heh, I guess they didn't kill you." Said Agatha, now in a more comfortable friendly way.

"Do you think your parents will let me, live here?" ask her, hoping for reassurance from Norman.

"I don't know to be honest, although I am hoping for the best for you," said Norman. "you know, I... don't really mind if you sleep in my room. Just as long as you ask first." Added him. His last words made Aggie blush a little.

"Are you sure that's fine?" ask her a little unsure about that.

"Well, I guess you're my great great grand aunt, so, maybe its fine." Norman's answer convinced Aggie a more, although inside her mind is thinking if it's fine for her to sleep in the same room with a boy.

Suddenly, the door to the kitchen opens, and Norman's mother's head poked out of it.

"Kids, come in. We need to talk."

Agatha and Norman looked at each other, and then they walked in. they found a chair for themselves and sat down. Norman felt a little worried, although he is sure his parents wouldn't throw Agatha off the house. Aggie, however, felt quite scared. She didn't know what to expect, so she just hopes for the best.

"Aggie, we are still not quite sure, but we think we could give you a place in this house. You're going to sleep in the attic for a while. Don't worry, we'll clean it up. And we also have a spare mattress, not the best, but it will do. Sorry honey, but this is the best we could do now." Said Sandra. Aggie's response was far from disappointed though. She was thrilled to hear that the Babcocks will adopt her. She hugged Sandra and said thanked her a lot.

"Thank you so much Mrs Babcock, thank you!"

"Don't mention it, honey, it's fine. In fact I'm sorry we couldn't give you a proper room."

"But mum, why don't just give her my room? I can sleep anywhere. I can sleep in the couch if I want to." Argue Norman. He can't let Agatha sleep in the attic! No way! He doesn't mind giving her his room.

"Are you sure Norman?" Norman nodded. "Well then I guess you can sleep in his room Aggie."

"What? No! I can't use Norman's room. It's his, I can't take someone else's property." Norman was a little surprised that Aggie refused, but he was determined that Aggie use his room.

"Agatha, no. you sleep in my room. I do not mind whatsoever."

"Are you sure?" ask Aggie.

"Yes. I am." Norman confirmed his offer for the last time.

"Alright Aggie, you can use Norman's room. Norman, you can sleep in the attic."

"He can use the couch. Right buddy?" ask his dad.

"Yeah, I can do that." A big smile emerged on Aggie's face.

"Thank you Norman! Thank you too, Mrs Babcock."

"Don't mention it honey. And call me Sandra."

"And thank you too Mr Babcock."

"Yeah, sure. Just behave and don't mess around."
