I've never been kissed. If I'm honest I've always been afraid of it. I figured I was not good enough or pretty enough to ever be kissed. And yet, Fours hand had crept its way up my back and slit into my hair. His body soaked into mine as he smiled into my mouth.

As he pulled away my body craved more of his touch.

He leaned his head back and smiled.

"Do I make a good distraction?" I joked.

He turned towards me, and earnestly stared into my eyes. "Tris, you're not a distraction. You have invaded my every thought and emotion"

Suddenly the world begun to slow down, I drew in a sharp breath. Cold air filled my burning heart. There he was, everything I needed in the world. "You're all I need Tobias" I murmured. I leant into his body and rested my head on his shoulder. I looked out into the distance, the world lit up with a new vibrancy. If this is living? Why was I ever raised to fear it and forego it. Tobias buried his chin into my hair kissing the top of my head.

"I'm sick of it" I whispered "I'm sick of hiding, and pretending I'm not strong. It's selfish to hide me from life from this" I say.

Four smiles softly, watching me as I rant. I begin to work myself up, angrily recounting all I've missed out on in life.

"You should be more worked up" I tease with a sly smile. "You should be so over it that you want to go do something crazy with me".

His eye brows raised "Well what did you have in mind?" He asked

This stumped me, I didn't know what I wanted to do. "This" I motioned to the abandoned theme park "dauntless, we have the entire world in our hands. What do you think we should do?" I questioned.

"I'm happy to just sit here with you" He mumbled into my hair.

"I can't go home" I realised "I can't pretend anymore. I can't be weak at school it's not who I am, not anymore"

Four hands snaked around my waist he held me close. I could feel his hands tremble slightly. I had almost forgotten we were up this high.

"How do you do it? Juggle dauntless with your father?" I questioned.

He drew in a sharp breath. "My father is not a good person. I have always planned to leave, dauntless is my chance. I was waiting until I turned 18, and he had no control over me." Tobias told me how he had it all planned out he had a job a new place to live, a family within dauntless to support him.

"What do you mean you 'was' waiting"

"I mean, I agree with you. I can't pretend anymore. I can't go back home, I'm officially leaving."

"I hope he gets what's coming" I reference Marcus, anger seeping from my voice "Either that or I'll give him a piece of my mind" Four held me tighter.

"I would never let him hurt you" He promised.

We sat for what felt like a perfect eternity. Our body pressed close neither one of us wanting to leave the moment. Slowly the sun went down and street lights, buildings and cars lit up the world.

"Theres a fight tonight on at dauntless, want to go with me?" Four asked. "We could get pizza?" He tempted.

"Yes please!" I agreed.

We made our way down the Ferris wheel and walked to the nearest train tracks. On our way we passed my street.

"Four, there is something I have to do first." I looked down the street.

"Okay" He said.

It was a Thursday night, normally my parents spend Thursdays at the soup kitchen. I was hoping they thought I was just at work and didn't hear that I ditched the end of the school day. I let out a sigh of relief when I noticed the car was not in the driveway.

"They aren't home, you can come with me if you want" Four nodded in response.

I let him into the house. It was dark inside. This house had been my life for the last 17 years but it felt so foreign, I had never lived while I lived here. I was sad to leave and to let go of such a huge part of my life. I flicked the lightswitch on a weak warm light filled the house.

"Come with me" I motioned for Four to follow me into my room.

I filled up a bag with my things. I didn't have much that I wanted to keep. A few outfits I had gotten from work, my phone and charm bracelet. It didn't even fill up the bag. I didn't know where I was going to go, I just hoped I'd figure it out along the way.

As I packed Four lounged on my bed. It made me feel giddy watching him lay there. He looked both so out of place and meant to be. I wondered if we both had weaker wills would we have ended up together. The stiff children of two stiff families? In another world would he had come over for dinner with his father, and would we exchange looks when nobody noticed. Would we walk together in the school hallways or volunteer together?

"Are you watching me?" He murmured from the bed.

"Potentially" I smile back.

He propped up on his elbows to look at me. "I haven't officially asked this but Tris would you be my girlfriend?"

"Hmm what's in it for me?" I joked.

"Come here and ill show you" He said totally seriously.

I slowly walked towards him. When I was within his reach he grabbed me by the hand and pulled me onto the bed. I gasped as I fell onto of him. He moved the hair out of my face and tenderly kissed me. I could feel his heart beating, it mirrored my own in an erratic melody.

"So?" he asked.

"Hu?" I said in a daze.

"Your answer? Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Of-course" I said.

Before leaving I wrote my parents a note. I explained why I had to leave and left my cell phone number. I told them I could not live like them and would not longer be ridiculed or made to feel like a failure.

I left the note on the bed. I took a final look around the room as I leaned into Four for support.

"Let's go" I said to Four as I opened my bedroom door and flicked off the light switch.

I left first as Four was still obscured In the door way Calebs door clicked open.

"Beatrice?" He said coming out of the door and into the corridor. "Where have you been! Did you skip school? How could you be so inconsiderate. I heard you were seen running out of school property with someone. I can't even begin to explain what our Mother and Father will think about this!" He said angrily "This is just like you, you can't just do things the way you're supposed to. What where you thinking?!" He exclaimed.

Four took a step out from my room and into view. I could feel his anger behind my back. I held and arm back to steady him.

I could see the panic on Calebs face, Four could be scary. "Caleb, I'm going. I'll be fine. I left a note for our parents".

"WHAT?" Caleb exclaimed "You're leaving! Don't be stupid Tris, where are you going?"

"Anywhere else" I said pushing past him and heading for the stairs. He tried to push me back but one look from Four and he backed down.

We left the house without another word.

Four did not leave a curtsey note for Marcus, for all they cared he could die wondering.
