Jolt of Something New

Azula hissed as Ty Lee struggled to keep the Princess still while she bandaged up her injury. The Princess had a pretty deep cut running up her right arm, almost reaching her shoulder. She groaned as Ty Lee tightened the bandages.

"You know you're doing pretty well for such a deep wound. It's a miracle you moved when you did otherwise I think you would have lost an arm."

Azula rolled her eyes at her friend, "Oh please. It was sheer skill, nothing to do with luck."

Ty Lee chuckled, of course Azula would think that. "No reason it can't be both." Ty Lee smiled with one of those smiles that seemed to make Azula's head spin lately.

She didn't know what it was about them, about Ty Lee, that was different. But every time Ty Lee smiled at her, touched her or was just really close to her, it made Azula's heart go wild. Take that everyone who ever said she didn't have one.

But it was also scary and confusing. She had her suspicions of course, but there's no way that she was actually...

"Hey you ok?" Azula looked to the side, only to come face to face with Ty Lee. Their faces were inches apart. Azula's eyes widened, her heart started racing, her breath caught in her lungs.

"Ty Lee." Azula's voice was as calm and cold as she could possibly make it right now, "Why are you so close?" Azula did all she could not to push Ty Lee away to hard.

Ty Lee frowned, "I was just checking to make sure you're..."

"Well don't." Azula cut her off before she could finish, "You... did well. Now leave me to rest."

"But..." Azula glared at her. Ty Lee closed her mouth with a frown, there was a sadness on her face that broke Azula's heart, "Ok. If you need anything... you know where I am." She left without another word, leaving Azula alone in her tent.

Azula frowned and shook her head, hoping to get rid of these new feelings. She placed a hand on her chest, clenching her shirt so hard she was afraid she would accidentally burn it. It made her wonder, is her fire hotter than the burning feeling in her chest?
