Transformers Prime: The Final War.

Chapter 73: Evolution.

(Author's notes: In this chapter, Predatitan's evolution will be revealed to the Decepticons, but Corvowing Prime will reveal to the Autobots Megatron's plan for the Predacon clones in response to his fear of Predatitan starting a revolution under the false belief that Predatitan would take over Cybertron for the Predacon race. And at the same time, when Predatitan learns about Megatron's plan, the first Predaking lookalike in different colors will be given orders to reveal his true loyalty to the Autobots.

Enjoy chapter 73: Evolution.)

At the site of Highstalker's off-site laboratory, the outside is heavily raining with lighning storms.

But thankfully, none of the lightning bolts ever struck the Nemesis at all.

Suddenly, two fighter jets fly out of the flight deck of the Nemesis and they converge on the entrance to Highstalker's laboratory.

Those fighter jets were nothing and no one short of Megatron and Roughstuff.

At the entrance to Highstalker's off-site laboratory, Megatron and Roughstuff land in robot mode.

Roughstuff asks correctly, "Highstalker's off-site laboratory?"

Megatron replies, "Yes. Now, come along, Roughstuff."

Roughstuff comes along and the two Decepticons walk into Highstalker's laboratory.

Roughstuff doesn't say a thing about his "alternative super-soldier experiment" due to Megatron still being inwardly and outwardly furious at the loss of Airsized's Insecticon hive and over a third of the Decepticon army's remaining troops.

Megatron and Roughstuff walk further to be met by Highstalker.

The Shockwave lookalike declares, "The Predacon clones have almost fully matured, and they will be ready for battle in the next three solar cycles."

Megatron praises before saying into his commlink, "Excellent work, Highstalker. You have performed admirably. Knife Out! I'm waiting."

Knife Out replies as he descends the elevator, "I'm on my way right now, Lord Megatron."

Predatitan observes Knife Out's elevator descension and he gets a message from his identical twin, Predaking.

Predaking's voice says in Predacon dialect, "Predatitan, the time is now. Show your evolution to Megatron, but be careful of how you speak. We cannot risk exposing your true allegiance just yet."

Predatitan growls in agreement.

In the laboratory, Knife Out carries two Synthetic Energon cubes and says, "We have Synthetic Energon right here. The troops will be delivering my remaining supply of Synthetic Energon to you immediately."

Highstalker replies, "I will determine its usefulness after Lord Megatron's army of Predacon clones is ready for deployment."

Suddenly, they hear rumbling and claws scraping stone.

Megatron, Highstalker, Roughstuff, and Knife Out see Predatitan approaching.

Predatitan stops and roars in anger, as if he was saying, "The Predacon army is Predaking's to command," even though Decepticons don't speak Predacon and even though Predacons can only talk if they have the ability to transform to robot mode .

Roughstuff brandishes a metal rod and snarls while smacking Predatitan with the rod, "Unruly dragon bot! You dare to roam freely without permission?!"

Predatitan snarls as he approaches Roughstuff.

Roughstuff drops the rod and stumbles onto his backplate.

As Predatitan approaches, Roughstuff shrieks in fear, expecting the end.

But instead, Predatitan transforms to robot mode, shocking even Megatron and Highstalker!

In particular, despite having an expressionless and featureless faceplate save for his optic, Highstalker was shocked that his fellow Autobot spy had the ability to transform to robot mode.

Roughstuff looks at Predatitan in shock and asks, "What?!"

Predatitan says his first words for the first time, "Strike me again, and I will bury that rod in your spark!"

(The intro plays: The Predacon known as Predatitan screeches as he flies over a highway and spits a huge fireball at the highway. Out of the flames comes the entire Autobot army, with the new Vehicons, Shockwave, the new Autobots born in Autobot Outpost Omega 2, and the Autobot Predacon clones that were originally Decepticon Predacon clones in the original timeline coming out of the flames in vehicle/dragon mode. Optimus Prime is once again last. And as the camera pans around him, Optimus quickly transforms to his taller robot mode, and the view shows the entire Autobot army deploying their various robot mode weapons for battle. In Autobot Outpost Omega One, Bumblebee transforms to vehicle mode and drives through the Ground Bridge, followed by Stakebeak and his two clones known as Dreadstreaker and Swingslice. Bulkhead transforms to vehicle mode and he drives through the Ground Bridge, followed by Bombspeed and her two clones known as Crashout and Mazenter. And finally, Arcee transforms to vehicle mode and she drives through the Ground Bridge, followed by Jakestreet and his own two clones known as Jetace and Shortmark. In a Cybertronian battleground, Megatron fires his Fusion Cannon while Highstalker fires his own AstroMag Cannon, Roughstuff fires all of his missiles, and Devastator, Menasor, Bruticus, Preyerking, Abominus, Monstructor, Constructicon Maximus, Bruticus Maximus, Dominus Trannis, Dinoking, Liokaiser, Piranacon, Tripredacus, Devastator Maximus, Predacus, Infernocus, Volcanicon, Battle Gaia, King Poseidon, God Neptune, Megatronia, Grand Galvatron, and Thunder Mayhem fire their guns. Predatitan screeches as he flies towards Optimus Prime and Corvowing Prime, spitting fireballs at them. But the two Autobot leaders are unaffected as Optimus activates his jetpack and Corvowing transforms to his own dragon mode and they fly towards the Predaking lookalike. They respectively punch Predatitan before the title card appears. It reads, Transformers Prime: The Final War: Beast Hunters. The last thing the viewers hear is an unknown Predacon roaring.)

Roughstuff stutters a bit as he points out, "I-I didn't realize our Predacon was capable of transforming to robot mode."

Megatron adds as he snaps out of his funk, "Neither did I."

Predatitan sneers, "I'm not just a Predacon."

Predatitan approaches a Hyperevolution Chamber and observes the Predacon clone inside.

Highstalker explains, "The ability to transform is an important component of Cybertronian biology. There is simply no evidence that the Predacon race ever managed to achieve that evolutionary stage, since they became extinct in the Great Cataclysm."

Roughstuff adds, "And now we know. Hrrgh."

Predatitan remarks with some joy in his voice, "So, the rumors are true. I won't be alone much longer."

Megatron states while approaching the giant robot, "And I see that you've been keeping secrets."

Predatitan explains with the same story as his identical twin, "It wasn't my intention to lie to you, Lord Megatron. I only recently became aware of my ability to transform. All I remember of my beginning is hunting, engaging Autobots in battle, and the wounding of my pride. Thus, I began to question who I am and where I came from. The databanks of the Nemesis provided me with enough historical facts to answer my second question, but I still don't possess any memory of my own past. So, I began reconsidering my place in the present day, and I started to wonder if I could be like the other Decepticons. And now, I know the answer."

Megatron explains briefly, "Yet you are unique, a miracle of science, cloned by Highstalker from the cyber-nucleic acid recovered from the remains of your mighty ancestors."

Predatitan looks on in wonder while letting a small smirk dance across his faceplate, knowing that Megatron was somewhat as oblivious as Predaking described.

Ultra Magnus comes up and asks, "Doctors, what is the current status of your work on the Synthetic Energon formula?"

Jetfire answers, "We managed to produce enough clean, stabilized samples for mass production, commander, given the fact that we have the functional equipment we needed to pull it off."

Ultra Magnus then quizzes, "Do either of you know that an alternative source of Energon may be urgent for our survival?"

Perceptor replies for everyone else, "Believe me when I say this, commander, no one is more acutely alert of the stakes than me and my fellow scientists."

Raising an optic ridge, Ultra Magnus replies,, "Of course. As you were."

Ultra Magnus then approaches the thirteen thousand googolplex Beast Hunters teams and asks, "Beast Hunters, may I inquire as to why you are not currently scouting Grid 305 for Predacon bones?"

Chromia answers, "Because we just returned from surveying Grids 301 to 304 to log our field reports as per your protocol, sir."

Ultra Magnus nods in approval before turning his attention to Wheeljack entering the base.

Ultra Magnus then states sternly, "Soldier, I don't recollect ever giving you permission to leave the base."

Wheeljack replies while shaking off some coolant, "Because you didn't at all, sir."

Ultra Magnus quizzes, "Why are your hands and armor smeared with coolant?"

Wheeljack answers while rubbing his hands to shake off the coolant, "I... recalibrated your ship's engines. You can expect a 10% increase in vectored thrust."

Suddenly, everyone hears three pairs of dragon wings flapping and the sound of jet engines whirring as the four sounds were approaching the base at the exact same time.

Predaking, Corvowing Prime, Hexerscorch, and Optimus Prime arrive, with the three dragons transforming to robot mode while Optimus deactivates his jetpack and folds up his wings.

Everyone except for Ultra Magnus rush forward with assorted welcoming remarks of, "Optimus! Corvowing! Hexerscorch! Predaking!" "Welcome back!" "Optimus, good to see you guys!" "It's good to have you, Corvowing, Hexerscorch, and Predaking back, Optimus." "Lord Predaking, what news do you have?"

Optimus, Predaking, and Corvowing say one after the other, "Decepticon activity is at an all-time low." "We have reason to believe that Megatron has collected enough of the Predacon bones he needs to clone his Predacon army." "And now that Predatitan has shown off his evolution per our orders, Megatron has undoubtedly started to plan for us to find Highstalker's laboratory in the hopes that we would destroy the Predacon clone army on his behalf to prevent a revolution."

Optimus and Corvowing both notice that Ultra Magnus is off to the back, seemingly troubled and lost in thought.

Meanwhile, on the Nemesis, Predatitan says according to his transcript secretly provided by Vibe, "It is with the deepest and most genuine gratitude for my creation that I pledge undying loyalty to you, my one true master. But with more of my kind soon to walk among us Decepticons, I beg your permission to in turn lead them in your quest, as Predatitan."

Megatron replies with wide optics, "Your vision... is boundless."

Later, in the Energon Storage Vault, Megatron states, "Our former beast may believe himself to be a loyal servant today, but believe me when I say that the moment our highness realizes that his army possesses greater might than what currently is left of the Decepticons—"

Roughstuff finishes for him, "Evolution will give way to revolution."

Megatron concludes, "I am left with no choice but to eradicate the Predacon clones before they could ever acquire the first opportunity to eradicate us."

Highstalker rants in his head, "That is not going to happen, bucket-head. Not on my watch."

Knife Out queries, "Lord Megatron, are you really saying that you want to pull the plug on Highstalker's beloved Project Predacon?"

Highstalker states with a big, convincing lie that convinces even Soundwave and Megatron, "Your conclusion is most logical, my lord."

Knife Out then points out, "But what happens if that fire-breathing behemoth finds out about our treachery?"

Roughstuff resets his vocalizer and explains, "Why assume that we were the ones who destroyed Predatitan's beloved Predacon clone army? After all, if Predatitan were to discover that, say, the Autobots were responsible for eradicating his compatriots, our resident beast will in retaliation destroy our hated enemies for us. Or they will terminate him. Whichever one works better."

Megatron slightly smirks evilly.

Unbeknownst to everyone, Predatitan is secretly watching and listening on everything thanks to Vibe's access to the cameras aboard the Nemesis.

And to say he's furious would be an understatement.

Meanwhile, in the Autobot base, Ultra Magnus observes some human soldiers on a jogging training exercise.

Ultra Magnus starts to wonder if most of the Autobot army has changed since the Great Warso long ago.

Suddenly, footsteps from one Autobot brings Ultra Magnus out of his thoughts.

Optimus approaches Ultra Magnus and says straight to the point, "Ultra Magnus. Something has been troubling you."

Ultra Magnus confesses, "I fear that my command style may be having a negative effect on unit morale."

Optimus replies as he places a servo on Ultra Magnus' shoulder armor, "Your services are most welcome, old friend, but this is not the Elite Guard."

Ultra Magnus replies back, "Things have certainly changed since the War for Cybertron."

Optimus points out before explaining, "And we have had to adapt to that change for thirty-three stellar cycles. Every member of Team Prime and every member of the Autobot army are not cogs in a machine. They have grown into something greater than a gigantic, universe-sized army. They have become a family unit."

Ultra Magnus looks on in thought.

Suddenly, the computer beeps and Ratchet calls out, "Optimus. Corvowing. Our scanners have detected exposed Energon."

Corvowing points out before declaring, "Megatron has most likely set his plan to destroy the Predacon clones into motion already. But regardless, since our Energon reserves are at a critical low, we can't afford to not investigate."

Optimus, Corvowing, Elita One, Vulturewave, Hawkthruster, Owlfeather, Ravenimus, Cuervoflight, Vulturicus, Chouettesplicer, Strigtimus, Hot Rod, Redsight, and Blowjaw slide on their battle masks.

Later, at the entrance of Highstalker's off-site laboratory, several trillion Vehicon Troopers in the triple digits are driving carts of Energon crystals out of the entrance.

Optimus then calls out from above, "Decepticons! Step away from the Energon and surrender, or be destroyed!"

The Vehicons look at each other before shooting at Optimus, Wheeljack, Bulkhead, and Ultra Magnus.

Optimus starts shooting at the Vehicons while Ultra Magnus brings out his hammer and starts running down the mountain with Wheeljack and Bulkhead.

Several Energon blasts down two Vehicon Troopers while Wheeljack throws his swords at two more, killing them on impact.

Wheeljack takes out his Lightning Whip, lassos a Vehicon, brings him closer and Ultra Magnus smashes the drone with his hammer.

Beast Wars Neo Predacons, the Beast Wars II Predacons, the Beast Machines Vehicons, and the Primeverse Predacons all started shooting at the other Vehicons.

The Autobots took out the multiple Vehicons in different ways.

In particular, Arcee used her handheld laser to slice several Vehicons in half.

Smokescreen rushes towards a Vehicon and uses the Phase Shifter to phase the drone into a boulder.

And for the last Vehicon Trooper, Corvowing brutally vivisects him.

In short, simple terms, it was a total one-sided massacre.

Corvowing then says to his accompanying army of clones, "Take the fallen drones to the base for reprogramming and repairs."

Corvowing's clones nodded before scavenging the dead Vehicon Troopers to take to the base.

Smokescreen looks at the Energon and remarks, "Look at all of that sweet fuel."

Corvowing then says, "Highbolt, eject."

The named Weaponizer Mini-Con ejected from Corvowing's chestplate and he transformed to his multiplication gun mode while in the air, allowing his master to catch him.

Corvowing aims Highbolt at the Energon carts and fires multiple shots at the carts, multiplying them into triple digit vigintillions for the Autobots to use.

Once Corvowing was finished, Optimus declares, "Stealth Team, Aerialbots, Multi-Changers, Pretenders, Maximals, Predacons, transport our cargo back to base. Wreckers, reconnoiter Highstalker's laboratory and have him awaken the Predacon clones."

Smokescreen then says, "I've always wanted to roll with the Wreckers, sir."

Inside the cave leading to the laboratory, Bulkhead's scanner doesn't detect anything.

Bulkhead then says, "No Energon signals."

Wheeljack adds, "And no extra security. Definitely smells like Megatron's trying to trick us into eradicating our new batch of Predacon allies."

Upon spying some light leading to a two-way tunnel, Ultra Magnus remembers what Corvowing said: "Highstalker's laboratory is on your right-servo side at the two-way tunnel."

The Wreckers plus Smokescreen walk down the same tunnel on the right.

After getting to cover, the Wreckers spot Highstalker's laboratory up ahead of them.

Upon coming across one of the Hyperevolution Chambers, Wheeljack remarks, "Well, this is definitely one load of ugly that's gonna be used for the side of good soon."

Ultra Magnus muses, "Megatron's cloning operation seems further along than we thought."

Highstalker notices the Autobots and comes up to them before saluting Ultra Magnus.

The Autobot lieutenant inquires, "Highstalker, what is the status of the Predacon clones that will be fighting for our cause?"

Highstalker answers, "They have fully evolved and they have fully matured, and they would've been combat-ready in two solar cycles if it wasn't for Megatron's treachery."

Ultra Magnus nods in understanding before noticing Predaking, Predatitan, Predajet, Aquablitz, Aquabolt, Aquacharger, Aquacrash, Aquametal, Aquaquake, Aquashadow, Aquaspear, Aquastorm, Aquastrike, Aquawarp, Backbite, Backlash, Bakudora, Barara, Battlebreaker, Battleburst, Battlecrash, Battlestreak, Battletron, Blackbeak, Blackteeth, Blitzburner, Blitzgear, Blitzspark, Blitzspear, Blitzstar, Blitzstreak, Bitestone, Budora, Burara, Burstbreaker, Cindersaur, Clawcharger, Clawhammer, Cyberbolt, Cyberquake, Cyberwave, Cybercrash, Cyberturbo, Darksteel, Divebomb, Dorara, Dragotron, Dreadnaut, Electroblade, Electrospark, Electrospike, Electrostreak, Electrostrike, Electroquake, Falconwing, Fangs, Fright Face, Frostquake, Gaidora, Garara, Gnashwing, Gore Jaw, Grimwing, Hammercrash, Hammerfrost, Hammerquake, Hammershadow, Hammerspear, Hammerwing, Heart Attack, Hydrobreaker, Hydrocrusher, Hydroquake, Hydrospear, Hydrostar, Hydrostrike, Hydrowave, Ironcharger, Ironcrash, Ironhead, Irontron, Ironwarp, Judora, Jurara, Laserblast, Laserbreaker, Laserburst, Lasercharger, Laserclaw, Lasercrash, Laserfire, Laserquake, Laserspear, Laserstreak, Lasertron, Lazerback, Leoflight/Fangblade, Magnoblade, Magnobreaker, Magnoburst, Magnocharger, Magnoclaw, Magnocrusher, Magnolaser, Magnoshadow, Magnospark, Magnosteel, Magnostorm, Magnotron, Magnowarp, Magnowing, Mechablade, Mechabolt, Mechacharger, Mechacrash, Mechafire, Mechastorm, Mechashadow, Mechathunder, Metalburner, Metalstorm, Metaltron, Metalwarp, Neonbreak, Nitrobolt, Nitrofrost, Nitroquake, Nitrospark, Quakebreaker, Razorblade, Razorcharger, Razorspark, Razorstreak, Razorwarp, Razorwave, Ripclaw, Rumbleclaw, Rumblegear, Rumbletron, Rumblequake, Rumblespear, Rumblewarp, Rumblewave, Saberburner, Sabercrash, Sabercrusher, Sabergear, Sabershadow, Saberstar, Saberstreak, Scatterblade, Scatterbreaker, Scatterquake, Scatterspark, Scatterspear, Scatterstorm, Scatterstreak, Scatterstrike, Scatterwarp, Scatterwing, Ser-Ket, Skylunge, Skylynx, Skystalker, Shadowgrim, Shadowshock, Sharpclaw, Shockfire, Shockfrost, Shockgear, Shockspear, South Claw, Sparkswitch, Steamblast, Steamburst, Steamcrusher, Steamsaber, Steamspark, Steamspear, Steamwave, Steelburst, Steelclaw, Steelcrash, Steelcrusher, Steelfire, Steelfrost, Steelgear, Steelrumble, Steelstar, Steeltron, Steelwarp, Technoblade, Technobreaker, Technospark, Technostorm, Technostrike, Technowave, Thunderburner, Thundercrash, Thundershadow, Thunderspark, Thunderspear, Thunderstreak, Tigerclaw, Torox, Turbocrash, Turbocrusher, Turboshadow, Turbospark, Turbospear, Turbostreak, Tuskslicer, Twinstrike, Twisterbeam, Ultrabolt, Ultracharger, Ultraclaw, Ultragear, Ultraquake, Ultrashadow, Ultraspike, Ultrawave, Vectorblade, Vectorblast, Vectorcharger, Vectorfrost, Vectorspear, Vectorwarp, Vectorwave, Vertebreak, Wavestorm, Weird Wing, Wildcrusher, Wildfrost, Wildhammer, Wildquake, Wildshadow, Wildspike, Wildstreak, Wildtron, Wildwarp, and Wildwave coming into the laboratory.

Shockwave turns up and says, "Predacons, help Highstalker clear his laboratory of sensitive materials."

The Predacons comply and they went to work carefully removing sensitive materials from the laboratory to the Autobot base.

All the while, Corvowing and his army of clones combined with the Beast Era Predacons went to work on helping the Uniend Predacons communicate with their brethren as they were awakening to prevent hostilities.

As the new Predacons got used to their new surroundings and started learning how to transform in frozen time, Highstalker in real time contacts Roughstuff and says, "Roughstuff, the Autobots have arrived. You didn't inform me that the plan was in motion."

Roughstuff replies over the commlink, "Only so as to ensure that the whole affair doesn't appear to be staged. In particular, Corvowing Prime can detect lies."

Highstalker pretends to emotionlessly protest, "I have yet to purge my laboratory of sensitive materials."

Roughstuff replies back, "Then don't let me keep you, Highstalker. Over and out."

Highstalker could practically hear Knife Out asking Roughstuff, "You scrapped him on purpose, didn't you?"

Highstalker emotionlessly chortles to himself, "Ha. You are smart, Megatron, but not smart enough."

On the Nemesis, Roughstuff rushes through different corridors to find Megatron, and he manages to find his master giving Predatitan a tour of the ship.

Roughstuff exclaims, "Master! I've just been informed that Project Predacon has fallen into enemy hands!"

Predatitan mentally chortles, "Thank Primus the Autobots were able to save my fellow Predacon clones."

In the real world, Predatitan quizzes to play along, "How is this possible?"

Megatron orders, "Roughstuff, scramble your Seeker Armada immediately!"

Roughstuff replies, "Yes sir!"

Roughstuff rushes off to scramble his Seeker Armada, but Predatitan states, "I shall accompany you, Commander Roughstuff."

Megatron replies, "Good hunting, Predatitan."

Meanwhile, in Highstalker's laboratory, Corvowing has just finished installing fake Predacon clones into the Hyperevolution Chambers and set several bombs next to the crates of unstable Synthetic Energon, setting the timer on the first one to go off in ten minutes.

And all the while, in frozen time, the ninety-six new Predacons are given their names: Hexhide. Spirittail. Jawshot. Firejaw. Cinderback. Leadbite. Fieryspot. Swiftrazor. Leohowler. Fangcloud. Leocast. Goldbeast. Talonwave. Leoglider. Flatjaw. Growlwise. Hydrauclaw. Silverjaw. Armorbite. Fangjump. Groundjaw. Grimbeast. Razorcrush. Growldome. Growlboom. Hollowreap. Emeraldwing. Diamondwing. Rubywing. Sapphirewing. Furyknock. Blastbomber. Blasterbomb. Scalequake. Roseboulder. Ironstalker. Veilback. Waterwing. Nightking. Ultrawind. Whitebite. Blacklash. Airbeak. Fireshock. Stonesaur. Chillsteel. Scorchbomb. Starblade. Novasnapper. Death Gut. Screamlynx. Alibi Face. Atomstalker. Neonstrike. Aurorabreak. Coil Wing. Moonrazor. Gut Rod. Skulldrive. Icehold. Rainhammer. Flamespan. Cutslinger. Chop High. Groundbite. Catgrabber. Razorbite. Wavewing. Skullstuff. High Leo. Suntooth. Razorbar. Bonemaster. Grimbite. Bombtooth. Crankdragon. Gutrunner. Sea Leo. Countjaw. Kickjaw. Chopion. Rippernose. Bonecap. Kickbite. Redsaur. Nightsaur. Cinderhappy. Ripperhead. Flamesor. Pointsaur. Dropdragon. Sungut. Bonebox. Winggrin. Treaddragon. And Slapgut.

Highstalker then says into his commlink as the bomb timer starts, "Soundwave, I require an immediate Ground Bridge."

Highstalker rushes through the Ground Bridge as soon as it opens up.

Wheeljack takes off one of his grenades and asks, "Permission to employ a grenade in a confined space, sir?"

Ultra Magnus answers, "If our plans to employ our Predacons on the side of good is to succeed, then by all means, blow these fake replicas back to the Rust Age."

Wheeljack activates his grenade and tosses it to the other bombs that are nearing the end of their countdown.

The Autobots – Predacons included – all transform to vehicle/dragon mode and they rush out of the laboratory, one at a time.

Thankfully, they managed to successfully escape just fifty-five seconds before the lab was blown to smithereens in slow motion, the fake Predacons not moving or making a sound.

As the Autobots and their new Predacon allies make their way outside to meet up with the others, the Decepticon Ground Bridge opens up and Roughstuff, his Energon Seekers, his Seeker Armada and Predatitan emerge.

Receiving a nod from Predaking, Predatitan snarls viciously as Roughstuff gawks at the sight of the ninety-six Predacons that have been awakened.

Roughstuff exclaims, "How did -?!"

Corvowing sneers, "We knew about Megatron's plan right from the start. And now, Predatitan, if you please..."

Predatitan initiates his dragon mode and tears Roughstuff's Energon Seekers apart, and so does the rest of the dragon Predacons.

Roughstuff screams, "PREDATITAN! YOU TRAITOR!"

Predatitan smacks Roughstuff in the face with his tail, and Starscream catches his former lieutenant as he snarls, "You traitor, I've been waiting a long time for this!"

Roughstuff whimpers in terror, knowing that he was likely not going to survive Starscream's assault.

For the next two minutes, Starscream pounds Roughstuff into the ground the same way Megatron did to Starscream in the original timeline and the same way he did to Roughstuff in the current timeline in the past.

Now, Roughstuff's armor is severely mangled, his wings hanging onto the wires keeping them in place, his right arm severed at the elbow, his left kneecap shattered to pieces, leaving him with one leg, and he definitely has a missing finger.

In short, Starscream's assault was merciless.

After all of the Autobots left, Roughstuff contacts the Nemesis and says quickly, "This is Roughstuff... requesting medevac."

In the Autobot base, everyone is gathered around as the techno-organics met the new Predacons.

After an hour of introductions, Predaking then says, "My fellow Autobots and my fellow Predacons, we now vastly outnumber the Decepticons and their remaining forces. But now, we must be ready for the days ahead, for I have reason to believe that the end of the war is almost upon us, as Corvowing Prime's lectures of his foreknowledge have revealed."

After about half an hour, everyone was told about the coming end of the Great War.

To say the least, everyone was shocked at the details of the Decepticons stealing human technology again, this time, to rebuild the Omega Lock.

But Corvowing assured everyone that as long as his foreknowledge isn't screwed up in any way possible, and as long as everyone plays most of their parts, the Omega Lock will be used to revive Cybertron at long last.

Meanwhile, on the Nemesis, Megatron says to Roughstuff after his repairs were finalized thanks to an army of healing drones and a large assortment of Energon Repair Grenades, "Do not despair, my dear Roughstuff, for I vow to you that Starscream will get his just desserts for refusing to join us during the War for Cybertron and Predatitan will pay for his betrayal."

Roughstuff growls in response, clearly unable to say anything for the time being.

Megatron then says into his commlink, "Highstalker, report."

Highstalker answers, "It is true, my liege; somehow the Autobots found out about our plans thanks to their Lieutenant Commander, Corvowing Prime. Project Predacon is now officially in the hands of the Autobots since they have hundreds of more Predacon bones to clone. At least, I have been unable to recover any leftover beast forms since the ones blown up were inactive replicas. However, there is something you must behold for yourself."

Later, Megatron and Roughstuff are bridged to Highstalker's laboratory, where they see something out of the ordinary.

Roughstuff gasps and asks, "What is this?"

Highstalker approaches and answers, "Pure Cybertronian cyber-matter, not unlike that which existed on our primeval home planet."

Megatron remarks, "Or even that which created my citadel here on Earth. Is this the result of the explosion, Highstalker?"

Highstalker answers, "Indeed. Yet the cyber-nucleic acid alone couldn't account for these cyberforms. All possible logic points to the presence of one unexpected variable: Synthetic Energon."

Highstalker gestures to the now solid metallic droplets of green Synthetic Energon on one of the cyberforms for added emphasis.

Megatron's optics widen in shock before he frowns.

The End.

(Author's notes: Just in case you're about to ask, no, Corvowing Prime's foreknowledge will not be found out by any Decepticons. Besides, like with Cronus Prime's story, the Decepticons will never find out about Corvowing's knowledge of the future.

Anyway, in the next chapter, Soundwave will still be captured, but we'll have to see if Ratchet's kidnapping will be averted. It's basically a split-decision on my part of writing the chapter.

See you all in chapter 74: Minus One.)
