Chapter 4: Staff Infectors
MXC is back for the classic battle between action-packed heroes and fun-filled zeroes!
After the announcer did his usual after break intro as always, the camera shifted back over to the balcony of the castle where Kenny and Vic were busy watching over a grassy field where various Tiny Toon Adventures characters were busy planting bombs to put around the exact field.
"Hello everyone and welcome back." Vic said as he held up a microscope around his eyes, "Quite a fun contest we're having, huh Kenny?"
Kenny rubbed a little bit of his ears before saying to Vic, "I can't hear you, Vic, I think I got burnt dust in my ears."
"That's your inner stupidity talking to you, Kenny." Vic groaned, "Do you literally have to blow yourself up every single time for the fun of it?!"
"Hey, I didn't plan this, okay?" Kenny groaned back in disgust.
"Well, whatever you're thinking. You should do less planning by blowing yourself up next time." Vic said, shaking his head. He then looked at the grassy field with a smirk before saying, "Welp, it looks like our favorite Tiny Toons are finished setting up the field for our next episode to come next week."
"Good, something that won't involve me for once." Kenny said, rolling his eyes before letting out a sigh of relief.
"Well I think you're gonna like this, Ken!" Vic replied.
While both Kenny and Vic were still looking out though, the two failed to notice Hamton coming in the balcony with a cart full of bombs that were still lit up.
"Hi, I'm back." Hamton replied, "Where do you want us to put the rest of the bombs?"
Vic turned back to Hamton and said, "Wait a minute, what–"
Before he could say something else, though…
*BOOM!*
The bombs immediately exploded on impact, destroying the rest of the castle/studio and leaving Kenny, Vic and Hamton in a bit of a burnt mess.
"Oopsy!" Hamton said, blushing embarrassingly.
Vic proceeded to look down at Hamton, growing very angrily while smacking him with his fan, "WHAT IS YOUR MAJOR MALFUNCTION PRIVATE HAMTON?"
"Sorry, I didn't even know they were still lit!" Hamton shrugged in defense.
"We're totally turning you into bacon when this is over." Kenny said, growling angrily to Hamton as well.
With Hamton hanging his head in total shame, the camera quickly turned it over to a steamy pond where Captain Tenneal was busy standing next to Princess Petrie and what seemed to be four men dressed like a ninja dressed in red, a pharaoh, an angel and an outfit that resembled a lot like Peter Pan.
"Make sure you save me too, guys!" Captain Tenneal replied shouting out to Kenny and Vic before saying to the camera, "But anyway, this is our next event called Staff Infectors! In this event, players must dig into the black box held by Princess Petrie herself. Whichever colored ball they draw will determine their opponent in the form of either Scarlet Fever, East Nile Virus, Airborne Infection or Gangrenous Khan. And then, those same players must knock them off the pedestal with their giant q-tips to score or else get infected in our sick fluid. Anyway, good luck to all and–" The Captain said before taking a giant pause to blow and whistle and say, "GET IT ON!"
Once the Captain was busy finishing his usual catchphrase, the camera scrolled to the entrance gate to see a kid with spiky brown hair and decked out in blue goggles, blue shirt, tanned shorts, black socks and white sneakers.
"Let's get digital!" Tai shouted out.
"First up for the FOX Kids Action Team, the leader of the Digidestined from Digimon: Digital Monsters, Tai Kamiya!" Vic pointed out before seeing Tai draw out a red ball, "And he draws red, which means he'll go up against Scarlet Fever."
"I swear, that hair's giving me Goku flashbacks." Kenny smirked out.
"Right you are, Ken!" Vic nodded, "But then again, Sora from Kingdom Hearts would vouch on that same debate."
As Kenny replied with a nod, Tai stood face-to-face with Scarlet Fever himself, waiting patiently until the Captain blew out his whistle instantly. From there, Tai immediately started hitting away at Scarlet Fever, who did the same to Tai making this a fast and furious run at best.
"Looks like we're well underway, Ken!" Vic quickly pointed out, "Both Tai and the Scarlet Fever are beating down on each other neck-to-neck!"
"Yeah let's just hope all that training and stuff Tai has been through in the Digimon world pays off for him." Kenny nodded.
While Vic agreed on Kenny's comment however, he looked back to the action just in time to see Tai catch Scarlet Fever with a hit right to the ribs, followed by a hit right upside his head. The hit proved to be hard enough for Scarlet Fever to tumble all the way off the platform and onto the sickly fluid, forcing Tai to score a point for his action team.
"And it most certainly did, Ken!" Vic nodded, "Tai with a big two-hit combo to score big for the Fox Kids Action Team!"
"Now that's a real leader, Vic." Kenny pointed out again.
"Right you are, Ken!" Vic agreed once more with his partner.
As Tai continued to celebrate his victory in front of a soaked Scarlet Fever, the camera quickly turned back over to the entrance gate where a pre-teen green duck in a white tanktop appeared next to the Captain looking very pumped.
"Long live Batduck!" Plucky shouted.
"And first up for the FOX Kids Comedy Team, Plucky Duck from Tiny Toon Adventures!" Vic exclaimed.
"Yeah, he also had his own spinoff series called The Plucky Duck Show!" Kenny stated.
"Indeed, although I wish it could've had a longer run," Vic muttered out before seeing Plucky draw a white ball, "Looks like Plucky has drawn white, which means he'll be squaring off against Airborne Infection."
Right after he was finished drawing his ball, Plucky grabbed his giant q-tip and approached the stump-like platform where Airborne Infection appeared standing as well. The two men waited for a little while until the Captain blew the whistle full-blast, forcing both Plucky and Airborne Infection to start hitting each other right away with Plucky getting the upper hand by hitting Airborne right by the shoulders.
"Oh, Plucky's starting off strong, Ken!" Vic exclaimed.
"You know for a small green duck, that dude packs quite a punch." Kenny pointed out.
Vic nodded before saying, "Right on the dot, Ken!"
Plucky continued to hit him on the shoulders until the Airborne Infection side stepped a little to the right, forcing Plucky to miss. It was there that Airborne performed a quick forceful tap to Plucky's leg, which sent the duck stumbling off the platform and falling right into the infected fluid.
"Well, that was a mistake for Plucky!" Vic replied with a yelp.
"Airborne Infection made sure that duck went down the hole." Kenny said, all while making a baby Plucky reference.
"Ah, nice little callback to young Plucky's flashbacks." Vic nodded, "Well thought up, Kenny."
"Thanks, Vic." Kenny said, nodding back to his partner.
Right as Plucky was trying to wash off the sickly fluid from his green fur, the camera focused immediately on the next contestant, who had green hair, a purple tuxedo and a very familiar smile that wrapped around his smug crud-eating grin.
"I'm a riot!" Joker shouted out.
"Here up next for the Action team, it's the clown prince of crime, The Joker!" Vic exclaimed, "Of course, this version is from Batman: The Animated Series."
"I'll tell you, that smile of his really makes me uneasy, Vic." Kenny said as he shook his head uncomfortably.
"I'll take your word for it, Ken." Vic nodded before seeing Joker draw a yellow ball from the black box, "There it is, Joker's drawn yellow which means he'll take on East Nile Virus!"
"Oh, this one I gotta see." Kenny replied with anticipation.
Joker immediately took his giant q-tip and started skipping along to the stump-like platform where he saw his opponent, East Nile Virus, standing there looking very determined. The two men waited for a bit before the Captain blew the whistle full-blast. Before the matchup could begin however…
*BONK!*
Joker got hit right in the back of the head in the form of a Batarang!
"Ow! Hey, what gives?!" Joker replied while he turned his head.
That little move proved to be a big mistake for Joker as East Nile Virus found this distraction as an opportunity to smack the clown right upside the back of his head, forcing Joker right into the fluid!
"Oh, where on earth did that come from?" Kenny asked Vic.
"I don't know, Ken!" Vic shrugged, "It was so fast I didn't keep up!"
"Well, whatever it was, it cost Joker big time right there." Vic nodded out.
"He definitely won't be laughing anymore." Kenny shook his head.
"But we certainly will as that makes it our MXC Impact Replay!" Vic nodded yet again.
While Joker held onto the back of his head in total pain however, the MXC Impact Replay started to play out his entire run in its whole entirety, mostly focusing on the batarang that bonked Joker right upside the head in slow motion.
"Oh, okay, I see what went on right there." Vic nodded, muttering under his lips, "It seems that Joker got hit with what seemed to be a batarang. Guess his grudge with Batman is never-ending it seems."
"Yep, and all it took was a big case of East Nile Virus to put Joker under the weather." Kenny nodded as well, "I don't know why, but THAT makes me laugh."
"Could've said it any better, Ken." Vic replied.
As the Impact Replay finally came to an end, the camera shifted back to the next contestant, who looked a bit short and fat for his height. Plus, he had dirty-blondish brown hair, green polo shirt, and gray shorts that went right up to his stomach.
"I love cakes!" Louie shouted out.
"And next up for the FOX Kids Comedy Team, it's Louie from Life With Louie!" Vic exclaimed.
"He's kinda fat for a big kid." Kenny pointed out.
Vic immediately rolled his eyes before saying to Ken, "Kenny, he deserves to be called big-boned."
"What's the difference?" Kenny shrugged.
"Never mind, I'm not even gonna explain this to you." Vic replied before seeing Louie draw a green ball from the black box, "And looky here, Louie draws the green ball which means he'll be fighting against the Gangrenous Khan!"
Once Louie grabbed the giant q-tip with his hands, he immediately walked over to the stump-like platform where Gangrenous Khan was also standing.
"It's gonna be interesting to see this contest go down." Vic pointed out.
"Yeah let's just hope that Louie's size will help him out." Kenny replied.
"That's a good point, Ken!" Vic nodded for the thousandth time,
However that wasn't the case though once the Captain blew the whistle full-blast, leaving Louie to blast Gangrenous Khan right in the groin with his giant q-tip. The pain was so excruciating that it sent Khan right down on his knees!
"Oh my goodness!" Vic shrieked.
"That was drama to the groin!" Kenny quickly pointed out.
"You're not kidding, Ken!" Vic replied, "I sure hate to be Louie right now!"
Gangrenous Khan attempted to get right back up, but knowing how viciously painful the groin shot was from his standpoint, he had no choice but to give right up, therefore giving the winning decision over to Louie's side.
"I can't believe it, he's already giving up!" Kenny said with a big gasp.
"I don't blame him, Ken!" Vic shook his head, "That shot to the groin was just too much for him to handle!"
"He's really gonna need an ice pack!" Kenny pointed out.
"Indeed!" Vic nodded as he saw Louie continue to celebrate his victory in front of a fallen Gangrenous Khan.
After that was over and done with, the camera scrolled right over to the next contestant, who had long reddish-brown hair, reddish-pink shirt with a long skirt, brown boots, and signature pink cowboy hat.
"I love to sing until I can't sing no more!" Mimi shouted out.
"Here we go, next up for the FOX Kids Action Team, it's Mimi Tachikawa!" Vic replied, "She of course is from Digimon: Digital Monsters."
"All right, one of my favorites!" Kenny said, rubbing his hands with anticipation. "What can I say, all the Digimon fans love Mimi."
"Right you are, Ken!" Vic said, agreeing with Ken.
It didn't take too long for Mimi to draw her ball out of the black box, which turned out to be Red.
"And it seems that Mimi has drawn the red ball, which means that she'll go one-on-one with Scarlet Fever!" Vic pointed out.
"Well thank goodness she's not facing East Nile Virus or anything." Kenny replied, "Her pretty head's gotta be protected."
"Yeah that would be hard to witness." Vic nodded.
Once Mimi met up with Scarlet Fever right up at the stump-like platform, The Captain immediately blew his whistle loud for everyone to hear, which forced Mimi to start swinging her giant q-tip towards Scarlet Fever. And she swung hard for the fences by pummeling Scarlet Fever right by the ribs and then constantly right on the back, much to Kenny's entire surprise.
"Whoa, look at Mimi go, Vic!" Kenny shrieked unexpectedly.
"My goodness, she's on a house of fire, Ken!" Vic exclaimed, "Mimi's gone completely out of control!"
"It looks like that summer Mimi and her friends spent in the Digital World paid off." Kenny stated.
"It certainly did, and she's not letting Scarlet Fever have much of a chance!" Vic nodded once more.
And Scarlet Fever no doubt would not get a chance. Knowing the complete pummeling he took at the hands of Mimi, Scarlet Fever went down on his knees long enough for Mimi to completely smack him in the face. That hit proved big enough for Scarlet Fever to tip himself over down on the fluid, therefore giving Mimi a quick dominating victory.
"And what complete domination, Ken!" Vic pointed out first-handedly, "Mimi made this look like a cakewalk!"
Kenny nodded as well before reminding Vic, "It just goes to show, Vic, girls like Mimi are all nice and sweet, but they don't like to be underestimated at the least!
"That is definitely a lesson to be learned!" Vic nodded, agreeing with Ken. "And with that, Mimi scores big for the Action team 4-3."
Mimi continued to celebrate her victory the best way she knew how: By singing a song, of course. She hummed a little tune that sounded a little bit much like "The Final Countdown" by Europe, but done in quite a heavenly version.
"I'll tell ya, Mimi has such a beautiful voice even when she hums, Vic!" Kenny mentioned.
"Right you are, Ken!" Vic nodded, "She's definitely improved in my eyes as far as I can tell."
Right after her little celebration ended, the camera quickly began to focus on the next contestant, which turned out to be in the form of a short purple cat with a very big stature.
"Kumbaya!" Eek shouted out.
"Oh, and here's a surprise!" Vic said, pointing to the next contestant, "Next up for the FOX Kids Comedy Team, it's Eek The Cat!"
"I swear, seeing him for the first time, you wonder if he reminds you of Garfield or something." Kenny smirked out.
"He does, except for the fact he's not that lazy." Vic nodded before seeing Eek draw a white ball from the black box, "And looky here, Eek draws the white ball which means he'll square up against Airborne Infection."
Right after he finished drawing his ball however, Eek immediately grabbed his giant q-tip and rushed right over to the same stump-like platform where Airborne Infection was now standing. After just seconds of waiting out, the Captain wasted no time blowing his whistle right away, leading both Eek and Airborne Infection to hit each other right away in their respective faces. It was so back and forth between the two that it made it impossible for Vic and Kenny to keep track.
"My goodness, this is definitely turning out to be a total slugfest, Ken!" Vic exclaimed.
"I know!" Kenny nodded, "It's already been seconds and it's already a slobber knocker."
"You got that right, Kenny!" Vic nodded as well, agreeing with his partner.
This slugfest lasted for several seconds before Airborne Infection nailed Eek right in the ribs and then right in the face, which looked hard enough to knock Eek out onto the sickly fluid, therefore preventing him from scoring for his team.
"And down goes Eek! That was brutal, Ken!" Vic pointed out.
"No kidding, he just got himself a taste of Cat Scratch Fever." Kenny nodded while smirking.
Eek somehow emerged from the water looking very bummed, yet disappointed of how his run turned out and ended thanks to Airborne Infection himself.
"I knew I should've packed myself some Vitamin C…" Eek grumbled to himself.
After he stepped out of the pool, the camera shifted back over to the next contestant where an overweight guy with slicked-back brown hair, white T-shirt, leather jacket, denim pants and black shoes appeared alongside the captain. Not also that, but his signature theme song started playing in the background in the process, much to Kenny Blankenship's confusion.
"This one's for Skull!" Bulk shouted.
"Up next for Action, it's the bumbling bully from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Bulk!" Vic pointed out.
Kenny then asked him with a raised eyebrow, "Hey Vic, where in the heck is that music coming from?"
"Apparently, Bulk alongside his partner Skull have their own theme music, it seems, Kenny." Vic replied to Ken while seeing Bulk draw out a green ball from the black box, "And look right there, Bulk draws green which means he'll take on Gangrenous Khan!"
"Don't tell me they're still gonna play that dang music…" Kenny muttered out.
Much to Kenny's annoyance however, the Bulk & Skull theme continued to play on as Bulk grabbed his big giant q-tip and approached the stump where Gangrenous Khan was now standing. The two waited awhile before the Captain finally blew his whistle, just in time for Gangrenous Khan to whack Bulk right in the head fast enough for the bumbling bully to fall off the stump and fall into the sickly pond. It was also at that same exact time Bulk's signature theme ended with a record scratch.
"And here we… WAIT A MINUTE, HE'S OUT!" Vic gasped in surprise.
"Well, that was anticlimactic!" Kenny chuckled, "Guess someone decided to pick on him his own size!"
"Agreed, Ken." Vic nodded before saying, "Let's take another look at that on the fast-motion replay."
Kenny immediately raised his hand, "Oh oh oh, let me do this one."
"Go right ahead, Ken!" Vic said, allowing Ken to call the replay by himself.
The replay started to play out Bulk's entire run in all of its entirety, mostly focusing on the part where Bulk got hit in the face and fell right into the water after the Captain blew his whistle out.
"Yeah, uh, he got hit and fell off. Now we're sitting laughing about it." Kenny smirked once more.
"Perfect work, Ken." Vic replied.
Kenny then looked toward Vic and nodded, "Thanks!"
Once the replay had come to an end, the camera shifted back over to the entrance gate where a humanoid blue cat appeared alongside the Captain wearing a big red cap with a vertical blue line draped all over it. Although he didn't say anything, he did hold up a sign that read "I'm a sucker for punishment" as a way to speak his shout-out.
"And coming up last for Fox Kids Comedy, it's the kid version of Tom The Cat from Tom & Jerry Kids!" Vic pointed out.
"Yeesh, that's the only thing we wanted in the 90's. Kids shows based on legendary franchises." Kenny said, rolling his eyes in annoyance, "As if everyone in the 2010's didn't have it bad enough already with Total DramaRama and Teen Titans Go!."
"I couldn't agree more with you, Kenny." Vic nodded in unison, feeling the same annoyed feeling Kenny was making.
"What's next, they're gonna make a kids show out of, I don't know, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?" Kenny shrugged.
Vic immediately heard this and let out a shudder, "I definitely do NOT want to imagine that now."
Meanwhile, as Kenny and Vic were still talking though, Tom drew out a ball out of the black box Princess Petrie was holding, all for Tom to draw out a red ball in return.
"And it looks like Tom draws out the color red, which means he'll go one-on-one with Scarlet Fever!" Vic exclaimed.
"Hope Tom's got every ounce of his nine lives with him, because he's gonna need a lot of it for this one." Kenny pointed out.
As Vic agreed with his partner on that statement, Tom grabbed his big q-tip and met up with Scarlet Fever down at the stump-like platform, getting ready for the Captain to blow his whistle. When he finally did however, Tom felt a big hard spitwad bonk him right in the back, forcing Tom to turn around to look at the person who bonked him from behind.
To Tom's surprise however, the mysterious being who hit Tom with the spitwad turned out to be his long-time archenemy, Jerry the mouse.
"Oh and Jerry got Tom right in the back!" Vic replied.
Kenny shook his head and shouted, "That's a mistake for Tom to turn his back right in front of Scarlet Fever!"
"I think you might be right, Ken!" Vic agreed.
And it indeed proved to be a mistake. While Tom had his guard down, Scarlet Fever capitalized on this opportunity by using his q-tip to shove Tom off of the stump and send the cat falling into the sickly fluid.
"See, I told ya, Vic!" Kenny pointed out.
"That bad blood between them was shown here today, Ken!" Vic nodded, "Definitely one moment Tom ain't gonna forget!"
Tom immediately emerged from the sickly water before he shot out an annoyed look at Jerry, who did the smart thing by running away from the P.O'ed Tom himself. That of course, resulted in Tom getting out of the water and chasing Jerry on foot like always.
"Now it looks like we got a chase going down!" Kenny pointed out yet again.
"Indeed, but unfortunately for the cat and mouse, we won't stick here long enough to catch it as both teams score with Fox Kids Action getting one over Fox Kids Comedy with the help of Mimi Tachikawa! That of course results in Fox Kids Action getting the lead 4-3!" Vic exclaimed, all while the score was shown for all to see.
It wasn't long before the camera quickly switched it over to the studio where Kenny was holding the binoculars on his face, looking at an image of what seemed to be Elmyra from Tiny Toon Adventures walking all by herself with a plate of pizza rolls in her hands.
"Ugh… Vic, why in the heck did we have to invite this annoying red-head?" Kenny said, referring to Elmyra.
"Well Ken, we had to send out the extra invitations one way or another." Vic reminded Ken.
"I hate this little she-devil, you know that, don't you Vic?" Kenny asked his partner.
Vic said with another nod, "I feel the same Ken."
"Well, I'm gonna make sure we humiliate the heck out of her for the crud she's pulled off on Tiny Toons." Kenny nodded, "Now look at her walking through that peculiar grassy field."
"Kenny, you're not seriously thinking about blowing her up, are you?!" Vic shrieked out, "You're gonna go to prison for commiting murder here on live TV!
Kenny rolled his eyes out of pure annoyance before he corrected Vic, "Ugh, relax for once will you, Vic? I planted some sick paint bombs so that if anyone I hate happens to walk around here, I can blow them up and they end in a paint-splattered mess."
Vic heard this coming from his partner and nodded out, "Okay, fair enough! Let's do this and get your payback on her."
"Now we're talking." Kenny said, all while holding a detonator in his hands.
Once he saw Elymra walk around the grassy field, Kenny pressed the detonator when all of a sudden…
*BOOM!*
The paint bombs exploded all around the studio, leaving both Kenny and Vic splattered with blue paint all over their clothes and bodies!
Kenny ended up spitting out blue paint out of his mouth before saying to Vic, "Uh Vic, what the heck happened?!"
"I don't know, Kenny, you're the one who planted the paint bombs, not me!" Vic shouted, snapping back at his partner angrily.
Elmyra looked up to the balcony from the bottom and smirked out, "Nice try, Vic and Kenny, but you know I'm too smart to fall for that!"
With those words being said from her dirty little mouth, Elmyra walked away mess-free leaving Vic and Kenny to look at each other feeling humiliated that Elmyra outsmarted the duo.
Kenny growled in anger, "She is truly a devil in disguise, and in every single possible way."
"No kidding." Vic muttered out, agreeing with Ken.
But before they could even think about going to commercial though, one of the interns behind them nervously raised his hand and spoke out, "Um, actually, we had to remove the paint bombs from the field because we were making room for someone's wedding banquet."
Kenny then scowled over to the intern and shouted, "Why you, I'll kick your–"
He attempted to say that last word however, but couldn't due to the fact that Kenny immediately wasted no time tackling the helpless intern right to the floor out of pure anger.
Vic shook his head, "Oh geez, the things I do for this show…"
Sit tight everyone, because we're gonna suffer some rope burn when MXC comes back! Got it, buttbrain?
I swear, I fell sorry for that helpless intern who has to suffer that beatdown from Kenny at the end.
Anyway, for those who want to know what the next event Rope Burn is, it's actually Yank It but with a new title. That's all you definitely need to know. But enough about that, can Fox Kids Comedy come back from behind or will Fox Kids Action give them a very serious whipping in the next event? Make sure you tune in next chapter, folks. Until then, don't forget to leave a comment and some feedback since like I said, they help me out in the long run. SNOOCHIE BOOCHIES!
