Lincoln heads out of his hotel room and walks down the street in Toronto, seeing the city lights shine in the night. He looked around for a good place to hang out and saw a bar called "Sunrise Alley."

"That seems like a good place to get a drink," said Lincoln.

He walks into the bar and sees a couple of people in it. He saw two guys at the pool table, three girls sitting at a table, and one girl and two boys sitting at the bar. Lincoln sat down at a bar, and the bartender came to him.

"What can I get for you, kid?" "The bartender said

Lincoln looks at the beverages and says, "I'll go with Bud Light."

"Alright, come right up."

As Lincoln waits for his beer, he sees a sad-looking young man about Lincoln's age come into the bar. He had brown hair and blue eyes. He wore a red-collared shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. He sat next to Lincoln as the bartender gave him his beer.

"What do you, sir?" "The bartender said

"Just give me whiskey," said the young man.

"Got it."

Curious, Lincoln asked the young man, "Hey, what's the wrong man."

He responded, "Why do you care?"

"Because you got the look that someone ran over your dog."

"Yeah, well, even if I had a dog, I would rather have to deal with that than what happened two hours ago."

"And that is?"

The young man sighed, "Well, I got rejected by this girl I had a crush on."

"Ouch."

"Now you get why I'm like this."

"Yeah, I had a few rejections before, but it'll be fine. You'll get over it in a few days or so. " Lincoln then sips his beer.

It's simple for you to say, "Um, what? What's your name? " Then the bartender placed a glass of whiskey in front of him.

Lincoln, yours?"

"Cody."

"Look, man, there are plenty of girls out there for you to date. This one girl isn't the end of the world."

Cody drinks his whiskey, "you got a point on that."

"See now, try to be in a better mood."

"I guess."

The two continue to chat over at the bar for a couple of minutes, getting to know one another.

"So why did you come to our fair country, Lincoln?"

Well, I'm taking a gap year from college, and seeing how I got extra money from my job, I thought, why not take a vacation for a month."

Ah, I wish I had a gap year. I'm stuck doing two major assignments that are a pain in the ass. "

Ah, what is it?"

"Programming and writing a paper about some scientists in the late 18th century."

"Not much different than back in the state."

Cody looks at the time on his watch and says, "I better get going. I have to get up early."

"Well, don't let me stop you,"

"Hey, my friends and I are going to hang out at "Geeks Haven" tomorrow, and you should come by."

"I think I will."
