Staying Aboard

Disclaimer: Because we all know Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford were basically forced off of Legends because they wanted to 'wrap up his and his wife's storylines' and how they did it was… Well… Bullshit. Ray has no reason to even listen to Damien, regardless of whether or not the man's not as evil as he used to be. So this is basically a fix it and part of my 'Hijinks' series.

"I want to build a life with you wherever we are but here's the thing, babe, you and I don't really owe my father anything. Not after all he's done as a couple of good choices he's made doesn't automatically make up for all his evil." Nora told her Husband bluntly.

Not liking the fact dear old dad had gotten into her Husband's head as she knew he loved being on the Waverider and she herself did as well. Sure, it could be somewhat difficult getting back to him and the others depending if they were in a completely different time period, but it didn't matter much in the end. They were both happy and that's what mattered and Nora had a feeling Sara wouldn't be too happy if she found out Ray was listening to her dad. Ray sighed before speaking. "I know, but you can't exactly do your job on a Time Ship." He pointed out.

"Sure I can, I can just as easily do it here as I can anywhere else. Regardless of how I occasionally can't get to you because of a mission in a different time period but I made my peace with that and it at least lets me have more chances to hang out with Mona. Who is like one of my best friends now." Nora told him with a fond smile of the Woman in question.

"But can we really have a full, happy life together on this Ship when one foot is literally in the past?"

Taking his hand in hers, Nora looked her husband in the eyes. "I believe we can, babe, if we really want too."

Letting out a breath of relief, Ray spoke. "I'm glad we talked about this because I honestly didn't want to leave. And maybe if it had come from anyone else aside from Damien Darhk, I probably wouldn't have had such a hang up about the whole thing." Nora chuckled at his words and pulled him in for a kiss.

"That's why its always a good thing to have talks like these. In another universe I probably would've just agreed instead of having my own opinion on the whole thing."

"Well, I think we can both be thankful that other universe doesn't exist." Chuckles were had between the two and they shared another kiss before realizing they needed to freshen their breaths before going any further.

Author's Notes: Works out a lot better than the actual scene me thinks. And probably a little screwed up to ignore a dead man's last request but considering its Damien... Well, yeah.
