notes: woohoo! Chapter 2 here now. Hope you all are staying safe with these fires. Enjoy!

Despite her initial thoughts of coming to this sports festival, Miruko had to be honest with herself and admit she was happy she did come. She figured by the time she second event finished up, she would have passed out in her seat and slept the rest of the day. To her surprise she was more invested than she ever planned to be, and it was all thanks to that one loudmouth.

She kicked her feet up on the railing and smiled after the girl he battled against was taken off in a stretcher. Of course she wasn't relishing the girls pain, but the fact he didn't care what the crowd thought of him. He wanted to be the best and if that meant not holding back against a girl, then so be it, he didn't!

"Hehe… Kid's got his mind set on first place. That's good." She laughed to herself as they rebuilt the stage for the second rounds.

Now while she didn't care about the other matches, she herself was amazed by the next one with Endeavor's kid. That plain looking boy that took first in the race fought against him with some weird power that was strong yet broke his bones every time. Yet like the girl from before, the stubborn little bastard never stopped and kept going, even to the point the Todoroki kid used his fire and nearly torched the damn place down. To her disappointment the teachers stepped in and stopped their final attack, but a dead kid would probably look bad on national TV.

The shock wave itself was bigger than Bakugo's final blast, the air ripping through the arena like a hurricane. Miruko smirked to herself as the smoke cleared wondering who won, somewhat upset to see the green haired kid out of bounds and passed out.

"Damn… the plank of wood made it again." She grunted and tapped her foot. She hoped in some way just to see him lose so Endeavor could shit a brick in anger. "Oh well, one can always dream."

Once it came to Bakugo's match, she sat up and stared intently as he battled the red head he partnered up with earlier. She watched with surprise as he tried hitting him with blasts over and over, yet the stone like boy kept tanking them like they were no bother. The tan rabbit's nose twitched in anticipation as she watched her favorite competitor on the defensive dodging punches.

"So, you can't hurt him with your blasts, whatcha gonna do, kid?" She questioned as she watched the blonde bare his teeth in anger delivering the answer.

More blasts.

She rubbed her forehead at his one tracked mind, laughing, "He's like a pit bull. Once he gets going he doesn't stop. But…" her smirk grew wider, "...You were spot on, you lucky punk."

After a few more hits, Kirishima's armor began weakening from being held for so long, ending with another huge "DIE!" from Bakugo.

The rabbit hero stroked her chin in amusement to the fight. "Did he know that would happen, or is he just too damn stubborn to try another strategy?"

Just like the last match, the semi finals went so similar for Bakugo against the bird boy. His power with shadows was an obvious bad match up to the bright explosions Bakugo used, ending the one sided match in only a few minutes. Miruko giggled in excitement as the final match was now set; Bakugo vs fire crotch's kid.

"Come on, bomb boy! Don't you dare disappoint now!" Miruko yelled from her seat as the combatants took stage. Ryukyu raised her eyebrows in complete surprise.

"Wow, I don't think I've ever heard you cheer for someone else." she said to the rabbit.

"Heh, I might as well pick one to root for, and he for sure is my choice." Miruko answered as the battle began.

Her eyes locked on the field as Todoroki went first launching his mountain of ice like before, and Bakugo not even trying to dodge taking it head on. She cheered out loud as he punch blasted the incoming ice spikes away, but her grin vanished as the frozen mass overtook the entire half of the collesium. The next moment it was silent, with nothing more than Todoroki standing before the frozen fortress to his front.

"Come on…" she whined to herself, "… Don't tell me the punk is already down from that!?"

Boom...

Her ears twitched picking up the loud vibrations down below, her eyes glued forward as the vibrations got louder and louder. Her lips curled up and she licked her chops.

"I guess it's just starting, still."

The center of the ice burst outward, and Miruko jumped up and cheered with the rest of the crowd as Bakugo leaped out from the mountain unscathed. She watched as he blasted through the air dodging the next incoming attack, latching onto the other kids face and launching him towards the edge of the ring. Todoroki recovered skating across more ice he created, only for Bakugo to rush forward again for more. He was able to avoid the right hand of ice coming forward, but her eyes noticed the flames creeping up the left… before vanishing away and making her smile disappear.

"Well shit… guess little fire and ice kid doesn't wanna use that still." She mumbled to herself disappointingly. She looked over to Bakugo and could see his face twisted in anger, her ears listening to his furious words.

"What's the matter? You thinking I'm not worthy of your fire!? You Bastard, I'll tell you what will happen if you make a fool out of me! I'll kill you!"

"Damn kid… maybe a bit harsh." Miruko scoffed at the kids words, but she understood what he was saying. She could tell Bakugo is one who wants to win more than anything… but he is also proud where he wants to do it knowing he actually is the one who won. To beat someone at their best… something she always felt so good when it happened. Seeing his opponent not going all out was more frustrating than actually losing.

"Todoroki! Don't give up, do your best!"

Miruko looked over to the sudden outburst from the green haired kid from earlier, surprised by the random shout. She looked back to the match and widened her eyes as Todoroki suddenly activated his fire once again lighting up the arena. Bakugo grinned and burst in the air again, his palms alternating blasts until he spun like a burning vortex flying forward.

"Oh shit, now this is what we wanna see!" Miruko's fluffy tail wiggled in excitement as the two combatants prepared their final attacks, drawing closer as the fire grew and the exploding cloud rushing forward.

"Howitzer impact!"

"Get him, you little bastard!" Miruko screamed out as Bakugo prepared to launch his blast.

And then the fire vanished.

"Ah shit…" Miruko muttered as the gargantuan explosion obliterated the area below where Todoroki was standing. Smoke billowed upward blocking the view for everyone, the rabbit hero gripping the rail tight in frustration.

"Little bitch… he backed off the last second!" she scoffed seeing Todoroki hold back. She then caught sight of the clearing view, scoffing when she saw the mentioned kid out of bounds and passed out. "Well, that's what happens when you don't use your power!"

She then saw Bakugo stomping towards the downed student, but instead of excitement for winning, all she could see was pain. He didn't accept it. He wouldn't accept a win like this. His pleas and yells for his opponent to get up and try harder certified her guess.

He wanted victory at his opponents best.

"God Damn it! This is annoying for me too, kid." Miruko groaned and sat back in her seat pouting.

Ryukyu rolled her eyes at the pro's behavior next to her. "I thought you said 'Either you win or lose, that's life' earlier."

"Yeah but this…" Miruko pointed to the arena, "...That's a shitty way to win. That means he was given the W."

She did however get a chuckle it took Midnight's sleeping quirk to make him get off the passed out boy, but still hoped for a better ending to the match. Even as they prepared the podium's below for the winner, she wasn't too excited knowing he didn't win it while-

"Oh wow… now that I really didn't expect." She couldn't help but grin as the podium occupants rose up.

There in first place was Bakugo, chained up like a rabid beast trying to break off.

"You can't be serious… the little bastard actually doesn't want to get the medal!" She burst out laughing kicking her legs up in the air. She wiped her eyes in amusement as she watched him thrash around on the stage, his mouth actually muzzled shut! They really put the work in getting him there!

"It's okay kid, soon you will be out of this arena and you can blow something up to make you feel better. Who knows, maybe you can get a cool internship that can-

She suddenly stopped When something popped in her mind. Her eyes widened as she suddenly came to a realization that she never expected to have. She was going to do something she had never done before and never planned to ever do. And she remembered the principle owed her a favor.

Rumi Usagiyama's smile could not have gotten any bigger.

Three days after the sports festival, Katsuki Bakugo stomped his way into class with his hands deep in his pockets. Despite having two days to cool his head after the event, he still was in such a rage he didn't even want to come today. Even as Kirishima smiled and approached him, he simply scoffed.

"Hey Bakugo, how's it feel being the champion for-

"Shut up about that! I don't wanna talk about it!" He shouted out for probably the hundredth time that day. Every student he passed tried giving him credit, but he wanted none of it. His eyes met Todoroki sitting in the back, making his blood boil even more.

'You damn bastard… you think fucking with me like that is gonna fly!? You think Deku is better than me!?' he screamed internally. And speaking of Deku…

"Uh, h-hey Kachaan…" Midoriya awkwardly smiled as his classmate approached, "G-great job winning and-

'Shut up, or I'll kill you." Bakugo snapped his usual response to everyone, which still always worked with Midoriya. Slumping in his seat, the sports festival 'champion' grunted as their teacher Aizawa began his usual boring speech before class. Not even paying attention, Bakugo turned his head and looked at he wall. "Probably another stupid test he wants to give."

"You will all be choosing your hero names."

That itself did catch Bakugo's attention, bringing a small grin to his face. "Okay, that's something at least."

His mind already imagined himself on the streets, blowing dozens of villains away as they screamed in terror to his presence.

'No, he's too powerful! He's greater than All Might!' one of his imaginary villains cried out.

'He's the greatest hero ever!' A helpless citizen cheered from the side, 'It's… its…'

"King Explosion Murder." he happily whispered to himself his childhood hero name. He snickered out loud thinking of the future in store for him. He perked up in his seat as his teacher brought up the internship portion of the lecture.

"Now with these agencies, you will be working directly under pro heroes. Here are the number of offers you received." Aizawa clicked his remote and changed the board showing the totals. Bakugo's smile disappeared when he saw his placement.

'Second!? How the fuck did Icy-hot get more than me!?' his brain screamed. He had got over three thousand offers, but Todoroki got more than four thousand! Once again, he felt like he was being screwed over. 'What was the point of first place, then!?'

He rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. "Whatever… I'll just take the best pro I got. Heh, maybe someone bad ass like Edgeshot would be sick. Or what if Endeavor offered me. I could go rub that in icy hot's face."

"There is one thing though I was informed on…" Aizawa suddenly said to the class. "Bakugo, your internship location has been chosen."

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

"Watch you mouth, Bakugo." Aizawa glared at the outburst.

"What the hell do you mean I don't get to choose my internship!?" Katsuki Bakugo yelled in disbelief.

"Yes, your internship has already been decided for you." Aizawa blandly responded.

"What do you mean!? The board right there says I have over three thousand agencies asking for me and now you say you already have my place chosen!?" the angry blonde yelled out in rage.

"Apparently this comes directly from the principle. Someone really took interest to you at the competition and asked personally to have you come work for them."

"Of course someone did! Over three thousand said they wanted!" Bakugo gritted his teeth and pouted in his seat. "It says we get to go where we want if we get multiple requests, and now you are saying mine is chosen!?"

Aizawa rolled his eyes at the outbursts and sat back in his seat. "It's been decided, so quit complaining. In all honesty I'm surprised anyone would request you with your behavior during the medal ceremony."

"Sir, if I may…" Yaoyorozu raised her hand from the back of the class, "… I myself am confused to hearing that. Isn't this unfair for Bakugo not to choose the agency he can work for?"

Bakugo sneered at her comment from the back. 'Stupid nerd, I didn't ask for your pity!'

"Look, I didn't make this decision. All I know is this hero chose to leave their name anonymous to you until you arrive at their door." Aizawa replied.

"What!?" Bakugo snapped in amazement hearing that, "What kind of crap is this!? I don't even get to know who this person is? I'm not getting stuck with some loser agency in the boondocks! How about I just say no!"

"If this is a direct request to Principle Nezu, then it's obviously a decently ranked pro. And saying no is not an option, this is a requirement. Now shut up and let everyone else focus on their things." Aizawa commented back.

Clenching his fists, Bakugo looked around in fury as all the other students were handed out packets of names of all the hero agencies that had sent in requests for them to join. And yet he did not receive one.

"What kind of bullshit is this!?" He grinded his teeth and crossed his arms. "I get the second most choices out of everyone, and I am forced an agency? Why the hell am I the only one getting this shit!?"

Even as Midnight came into class to approve of their hero names, Bakugo grinded his teeth so hard he thought he chipped a tooth for a moment. He looked down and dug his ink pen so hard on the whiteboard given to them he smashed the tip flat. He stomped up to the front of the class and held his name up.

"Guy who get's shit on!"

Midnight deadpanned at the whiteboard. "Sit down, Bakugo."

After the students left for the day, Aizawa finished straightening up his desk when he looked back to the numbers on the screen. His eyes met Bakugo's name and he sighed out loud.

"This is quite confusing…" he said to himself rubbing his head, "...Why did the principle choose a hero agency for Bakugo?"

"It is quite simple, actually."

Aizawa wasn't one to startle easily, but the sudden voice made his hair stand on end. He flipped his head around and grunted when he saw the culprit. "You like sneaking in on others, don't you?"

Principle Nezu smiled and made his way through the open door of the classroom and hopped in the seat across from his host. "It seems you are confused with Bakugo's situation?"

Aizawa nodded. "To the fact that you have picked an agency for him, yes I am."

"I myself did not choose that he would do this, but I owed someone."

"what?" the erasure teacher raised an eyebrow curiously. "What do you mean?"

"You know how we had extra security with this sports festival, yes? Well, in addition to the standard heroes patrolling the entrance plazas, I personally requested other members of the top ten rankings to come and watch in case something happens." Nezu giggled as he remembered his conversation after the festival. "I was really surprised when she came to me and couldn't stop praising Bakugo's performance."

"She?" Aizawa questioned. Hearing the principle mention the top ten rankings and "she", he began thinking back to the last rankings and to who would get any kind of pleasure from Bakugo's attitude. He then remembered a certain outburst from the crowd that day and-

"Oh shit…" Aizawa's eyes shot open the size of dinner plates when he realized who it was. "You can't be serious, Nezu…"

The mouse bear creature smiled and nodded. "Indeed. The only way she would come for security was if I promised her a favor she could use later. I truly never expected something like this, though."

"Nezu, someone like her is the last kind of person that should be training students..." Aizawa grunted at the thought of some poor soul under her care. "… She already hates working with other pros, how do you think tutoring a hot head like Bakugo will turn out?"

"It may be a strange mix, but I made a promise and plan to keep it. Besides, this could be something surprising and be an amazing change for both of them."

While the principle was being an optimist, Aizawa couldn't help but feel a terrifying chill crawl up his spine.

'Bakugo, may god have mercy on your soul.'

The next week felt like the longest Bakugo ever had to wait for. And not in a good way. Everyday in class he would hear the others chatting about what agencies offered them internships and where they were going, all while he had to just sit there like an idiot.

"Fuck this, fuck this, fuck this!" he cursed every time he would hear someone brag about being accepted to where they wanted to go. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"

Even on the day when it came to head to their agencies, he stomped after the others towards the train station. Once inside on the platform, all he was given was an address and nothing else. Others would have sworn he had laser vision with the stare he gave to Aizawa.

"You've got to be kidding me… this is all the shit I get!?" He cursed out.

"This is all I was given as well. Trust me, I have not seen this myself before as well. I am quite confused too. But if the principle is the one making the choice, then I trust what he had done." the dreary teacher answered, secretly feeling pity for his student. "Just take the train over to Esuha and get off there."

Glaring, Bakugo snatched up his hero costume case and walked onto the train. "This is some horse shit!"

He slammed his bottom into the open seat in front and put his bag to his side to take up the other seat. He was already pissed and didn't want to have some little snot nosed brat crying next to him. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he went online and searched up the address he was given. His mouth dropped in disbelief when it revealed to be a private address and not an actual hero agency.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He grunted out in anger. He was going to some loser's home? How much worse could this get?

"First I get a bullshit victory since Icy-hot bitched out, I get screwed over and made to take an agency? How the fuck is all this happening?" He sneered to himself as the train bounced along the tracks. "This asshole better be something cool, or I'm back on this stupid train."

Thirty minutes passed by before the train came to his destination. Huffing out, the frustrated teen grabbed his things and walked off the train cabin through the crowd. He only got ten feet before someone called out to him.

"Hey, you were in the sports festival! That's so cool! Can I get your-

"Shut up loser and get away from me!"

The random teen sat in shock from the response, but Bakugo walked on not caring one bit. He just wanted to get to this place and be done with it. He trotted out of the station looking up to the large city around him, eyeing the river that ran through the center of the city. He pulled out his phone again, activating his maps and clicking go. He gave a small sigh to seeing it was only five minute walk from him. "Well at least it isn't some barn crawling hero." he snickered seeing they lived in the center of the city.

He took the path along the river way, walking on and secretly enjoyed the small breeze he felt. Anything to cool his head felt pleasant at the moment. A few minutes later, he turned away from the water and went up a small inclined road before his map said he reached his destination. He looked up to what actually did surprise him and made his concerns dip slightly.

Sitting between the two tall buildings was a fancy modern day looking mansion five stories tall. The sleek white walls shining in the light between the deep black windows that ran up the entire face. They were one way glass meaning he couldn't see inside, but he figured someone with a place like this would have a sick ass view.

"Alright, this dude has got some money at least…" He smirked and walked up the steps, "… Maybe it is someone bad ass like Edgeshot. Being a ninja he does like being secretive."

His grin grew as his mind began thinking this mysterious agency may be turning out better than he first expected. If this hero had a place like this, then he obviously was a high ranked pro. He raised his fist and pounded several times, hearing the echo ring through the interior. To his surprise the door pushed open after his knock, the teen peering into the large marble floored entry.

"Hey…" He called out curiously as he stepped inside, "… you left your door open! If you are supposed to be a pro you aren't good at security so-

He yelped in shock when he was suddenly hit by what felt like a truck from behind, launching him forward and skidding across the tile. He gasped for air and reached around clutching his sore back.

"What in the fuck was that!?" he yelled out and crawled to his knees. He spun around and prepared his fists to hit whoever hit him. "You got a problem with me!? I'll kick your ass for-

His words stuck on his tongue when he locked eyes with probably the most muscular thighs he had ever seen. He trailed them up to the tight fitting white leotard over a… very shapely body that was topped off by a white hair and rabbit ear covered head. He then realized who this was.

"Miruko?" he muttered.

"Damn kid, you were all that talk during your matches and you got blindsided that easily? I'm disappointed." Rumi smirked down at the shocked boy. "I must have been dreaming then, because I thought I was watching a bad ass that day."

He gritted his teeth and stood up, somewhat surprised he was taller than her. "What the hell you saying!? You sneaked up on me and did a cheap shot and-

He stopped when he realized what he was doing. He was standing face to face with the number six hero; the rabbit hero Miruko. He was in the house of a hero in the top ten in Japan. And she chose him for internships.

….

….

….

….

"What the hell is this shit!? I don't wanna come work for a bunny!"

Rumi's smirk vanished at teens snarky remark. "What, you to good to work for a top ten pro, kid?"

Bakugo reached up and rubbed his head angrily. "This is who they made me come to? How the hell did this happen?"

Rumi snickered seeing him confused, crossing her ripped arms across her chest. "Uh, because I saw your match and I had to admit, I was really caught off guard when you competed."

"Yeah, no shit. I beat everyone in the tournament." he snapped back, making her eyebrow raise.

"Damn kid, get a compliment and that's how you say thanks?" she retorted, "Nezu said you were a hot head, and I figured so after watching you. But I like the way you fight, and that caught my attention."

Bakugo raised his eyebrow to her comment before he remembered a certain person from the arena that day, and recognized the white outfit she had on. "Wait, you were that chick that yelled out during my first match, huh?"

"Yep. I had to shut those annoying losers up who thought you were going too hard on a girl."

While he knew she was right, he wasn't one to admit that. "Well don't butt in next time! I don't need your sympathy if others don't like me!"

"Just a simple thanks will work, but I'll take that at least." She chuckled at his scrunching face. "I am glad that I talked to Nezu after your victory and got this all set up."

"Hold up, you are the one who got this secret meeting going on? What the hell did you do that for!?"

"That little principle of yours promised me a favor for being security at the festival, so I used it to get you. You should be proud kid, you are the first intern I've ever chosen."

Bakugo exhaled in frustration. "So what the hell with all the secrecy then? I never knew who I was forced to go to."

Rumi smiled up at the confused teen. "I figured to give you a shock at being picked by a top ten hero would be pretty good. And I wanted to guarantee that you came here, so I made it certain you came here."

"Yeah, well what if I didn't want to come here?" Bakugo sneered back. In honesty he didn't know much about her. He only paid attention to All might and a few other top pro heroes, so getting picked by a girl hero wasn't on his agenda. "Why should I be made to come here instead of going to my own pick?"

"Because every other loser will just give you shit by the way you act." Rumi smirked and reached forward poking his chest, giggling at the glare she received. "I think it's pretty sweet you are a no shit's given guy who does his own thing, and I'd hate to see some stiff try and turn you into another boy scout on the street."

Bakugo grunted as she continued poking him. "I think it's a bunch of bull that I don't even get a say in this. I'm gonna call the school and- WILL YOU STOP POKING ME!?"

"What? This too much for you?" She teased poking him again.

"Do it again and I'll blow your damn ears off!"

Poke.

"Really? Wouldn't that be something."

Poke.

His temper was reaching a breaking point… his hands sparking. "If you don't stop-

Poke.

"-doing that, I'm gonna-

Poke.

"KILL YOU!"

The impact to his stomach came so fast he didn't even know what happened until he was twenty feet away on his back gasping for air. He grabbed his abdomen to the throbbing pain as he glared up to see her leg extended outward.

"What *cough* what the fuck was that for!?"

He crawled off the ground and stood to confront her... but his eyes widened when she wasn't there.

"What- what the hell?" He stuttered out.

"Way too slow kid."

He flipped around to the voice behind him, but was met with nothing once again. Before he could react a sudden sweep from behind took out his legs. He yelped in shock as he fell back on his ass with a painful thud. He winced out and opened his eyes again to see the pro standing in front of him with a large smirk.

"Damn, you fall like a dead fish when you hit the ground." She chuckled at his glaring eyes.

"What the hell is your problem!? Touch me again and I'll kill you, cottontail!" He screamed in fury.

"Well you better do it quick, because I'm coming again!" Rumi yelled and lowered into charging position.

Bakugo gritted his teeth and charged up his right hand and pointed his palm forward. The moment he released a blast, however, he felt his arm kicked upwards releasing the blast away. He was caught off guard as her right knee slammed into his chest and shoving him to the ground, her left foot pinning his right hand to the floor. He couldn't even process the thought of moving his left hand before her right hand snatched his wrist and held it to the tile. His shocked eyes stared up in disbelief as she simply smiled down at him.

'Holy shit she's fast.' He admitted inside as he never even saw her move.

Rumi sat back on his stomach earning an annoyed grunt from the boy below. "You're a spunky little bastard, I'll give you that. What you need is someone showing you how to take it to the next level." She reached down and pinched his cheek. "Thats where I- Ow! Bitch!"

She yanked her hand back and glared at the fresh bite bark on her thumb. She looked down to the smirk on his face and growled. "You Little fucker."

"I'll bite it off next time!" Bakugo barked back at her.

While she could've bashed this punks head through the tile, she simply did what came to her mind

She smiled.

"This is gonna be more interesting than I thought."
