Chapter 7
Hogwarts, October 31 - Halloween
Lucius looked up at the decorated Great Hall. He knew that this year some care had been taken. Not only with decorations but also with the organization of the Ball. It felt like a kind of training for next year's celebrations. He wished he could attend future celebrations. After all, he was graduating this year.
He looked wistfully at the table Severus usually chose in such situations. Even when his friendship with Evans did not loosen so much, he preferred to be alone at parties. Once he asked him if it was because he couldn't dance. He was surprised by the answers that he could, but not in the way that wizards are used to. Until now, he doesn't know what he meant. He was intrigued by this because he heard from his neighbor in the dormitory that sometimes when the day was particularly bad, he could hear footsteps to the rhythm of Muggle music from Snape's room.
- What are you thinking about? - Lucius felt the weight of his future brother-in-law on his shoulder. Rudolphus Lestrange was a bit specific, but he hoped he would manage to control Bellatrix. - Don't worry. We rarely have this type of entertainment during Dumbledore's tenure.
- I'm not worried. I just had a reflection. The Sev table is free, and it crossed my mind what he could do now.
A grimace bordering on a smile appeared on Rudolphus' face. - I try to imagine Young at the party but somehow it doesn't work out. I think that in the new school he hid somewhere with a book and devotes himself to reading.
- But now he has someone with whom he can engage in an activity that is more pleasant than reading. - The blonde chuckled, although he knew that Lestrange was most likely right. Severus was like that. He loved books and learning.

Durmstrang, October 31 - Samhain
This evening was special for him. He had never celebrated the end of October in this way. His father didn't like Halloween because it seemed too magical to him. At Hogwarts, HE didn't like Halloween because it was too Muggle for him. Unfortunately, the Hogwarts Library didn't have books from which to learn about the traditional celebration of the Wheel of the Year. That was why the dinner in the open air surprised him.
- What do you think, what surprises await us today? - Helen was talking to him looking straight into his eyes. She was excited.
- We will find out. Surely. - Severus felt a smile appear on his face.
He looked at the lectern standing near the forest. He saw it come over by their Transfiguration professor along with the director of the institute. Łagoda had to protect him, because during the last Spell Class, one of the students stripped the headmaster's kneecap. It was quite difficult but not impossible to reverse it. Ivanovic had to watch his leg for some time.
The wizard grunted as he was alone on the podium. - Students and my friends. I would like to start the Samhaim celebration. - at that moment, fire was flared on all four prepared stations. - We want to thank those who were with us but left. Perhaps we can reach out to grace and say hello to some of the relatives and friends we have already lost. Today we will have fun in the company of ghosts, fairies and the magic of nature. Blessed Samhain !
His short speech was met with thunderous applause. You felt that the Director was loved here. Loved by everyone.
Severus felt a hand slip between his partially clenched fingers. He clenched Helena's hand. He knew he never wanted to let her out of his embrace again.

Łukasz Łagoda wondered about what he saw. He scolded himself for spending too much time observing the two new students, but he couldn't stop this behavior.
- If you look at them in such a way, I will think that our Łukasz was finally hit by a cupid's arrow. - Evan Potter's voice was overloaded with amusement.
He looked at his friend and growled - Don't leave me here with Roman mythology. I watch them because they both still seem surprised, despite their age. They are like me when I entered the School of Magic in Poland for the first time.
- I don't know what caused this in the case of Miss Granger, but I know where this attitude came from in Mr. Snape. From what I have heard, Hogwarts hasn't been concerned with many traditions that are normal for us for a long time. An example could be even today. It's Halloween there.
- So he goes through cultural education practically from scratch. Will you explain to me why it is customary to say that Hogwarts is the best school of magic and witchcraft if it teaches magic but not witchcraft?
Evan Potter smiled sadly. He couldn't answer that question. Besides, he didn't know if he would ever be able to answer it.

She felt his body close to hers. She could feel the rhythm of his heart beating. The way his fingers run over her thigh as he twisted around his waist with one of them as he turned. She knew one thing Severus Snape was a God of Dance. His every move was thoughtful and spontaneous at the same time.
As soon as the melody played by his colleagues from the Music Club ended, he pulled her to the table. There was a smile on his face. It had been a long time since she had seen him so relaxed.
- You haven't told me yet where you learned to dance like that. - she hoped he would answer her question at last. She knew she was nosy, but she couldn't help but think who had taught him this passion for dance.
- You're not letting go, are you? - He showed her the cheeky smile she liked so much. - My father. He wasn't always a drunk. He was a professional dancer. He was good to my mother. Everything ended when he was injured and all money went for failed treatment. - he sighed and Helena felt stupid. Severus must have noticed it, because after a moment of silence he added. - Don't be sad, honey. Before it got worse, I learned a bit. Probably enough to impress you.
- Not only me. - she whispered, because she began to feel something she didn't feel for any other boy.
The black-haired wizard pulled her to him and, speaking directly into her ear, whispered - I don't want others. I want only you.
Helen Granger knew she was gone. She never believed her mother when she told her that she wasn't tempted by her fahter's beauty. She insisted that she only noticed him when she heard his voice on the student radio. Finally she understood what she meant. Severus Snape had a voice that could tempt even the devil and he was ONLY hers.

Lily Evans studied the empty table usually occupied by Severus. She still couldn't come to terms with the fact that Sev had disappeared from her life. She regretted it. And there was nothing she could do about that regret.

Malfoy Manor, October 31 - Samhain
It felt like he was back at school. Abraxas Malfoy watched the Holy Fire as he did in school days. With the people who were with him then. With almost all people. Dorothea Potter. To think that if he had made up his mind then maybe she would have been Dorothea Malfoy. However, even with the timer in hand, he wouldn't change anything. He couldn't. Thanks to his arranged marriage, he had a son whom he loves.
- Brax! - The blonde heard a voice coming from the table. - Don't sit there like that. Have fun while Lucius is away.
- TOM - . Abraxas growled. - I will get up, but if it turns out that you have drunk all the mead again, I will strangle you myself.
- As if you had as much as you would have done it a long time ago. Sometimes I feel like I'm drinking all your honey for you every time I come here.
Abraxas Malfoy smiled at the words of Tom Riddle. If this overactive wizard knew that he had increased production just to satisfy his growing appetite while keeping a supply for himself ... - Okay, here I go."Just don't expect me to look after you during a hangover. You know the rules. During the Samhain celebration, no hangover or sobriety potion is allowed.
After a moment he heard Thorus Nott Sr.'s voice. - You are just like my mother!
