The Ghost and Molly McGee!

It was a beautiful day in Brighton and two girls were waiting for the bus to come take them to camp for the summer. "This is gonna be fun!" The Thai-American named Molly McGee said to her best friend happily.

The other girl is named Libby Stein-Torres who's nervous about going to camp. "If you say so Molly...where's Scratch?" Libby asked her, both girls knew that the grumpy ghost didn't want to come with them to camp.

"SCRATCH!" Molly called out, just then a white blur hit her on the head causing them both to fall. "OW! I told you two that I wasn't going!" Scratch said in annoyance, he was the ghost that lives in Molly's new house.

On her first day in Brighton, Scratch had tried to curse Molly but it backfired so now he's cursed to go wherever she does and a few weeks into the school year, Libby had found out about Scratch after seeing him.

"It'll be fun though!" Molly said with a smile, Scratch frowned at her. "No way am I spending my summer at some stupid camp." Scratch replied to her, the two went back and forth like this often as Libby watched them.

"The bus is here!" Libby interrupted the two, they stopped in time to see what looked like a wooden school bus. "Off to camp we go!" Molly exclaimed as she pulled her two best friends onto the bus with her smiling.

Molly, Libby and Scratch noticed three other kids on the bus as well. "Hey, you two going to camp sunny smiles too?" The brown haired boy asked them, Molly and Libby saw that Scratch had hidden himself already.

"Yeah! I'm Molly and this my best friend Libby!" Molly replied nicely, she and Libby sat down across from the boy. "I'm McGee and this is Gretchen and Squirt." McGee responded as he pointed to the other boy and girl.

"You have the same name as Molly's last name." Libby noted shyly, McGee and Molly looked at each with a smirk. "Can't believe we have to go to camp with the lameoids." Gretchen said as she crossed her arms.

While the five kids talked Scratch peeked out from Molly's backpack and saw the sign had been switched around so instead of going to camp sunny smiles, the bus headed for a more spooky and old looking camp.

Once the bus stopped, the five kids looked around. "This doesn't look like camp sunny smiles." McGee said nervously, Libby grabbed Molly's hand. "Wh-where are we?" Libby asked in fear, they were soon kicked out.

"End of the line kiddies." The bus driver said, he closed the door and started up the bus, before he could leave, some tentacles grabbed the bus and pulled under the water. "What was that?!" Libby asked in worry.

The five saw that the driver was okay but the bus was gone. "I'll call a cab." Gretchen said holding up her phone, but the call didn't go through. "Looks like we're in a dead zone." Molly told them seeing their looks.

Just then, a hand shot up from the ground. "AHHH!" The five screamed in fear as a zombie with a chainsaw hand got up. "I've been waiting for you." The zombie said in a creepy tone, Scratch peeked out in wonder.

"Keep waiting buddy!" McGee said as he knocked the zombies head off with a stick, the five ran away. "Careful with those branches campers, you could poke an eye out." The zombie said in a normal voice as he saw them.

"Where are we going?" Gretchen asked McGee, they kept running. "Anywhere but there!" McGree shouted at her, the five ran but bumped into something hairy. "AHHH!" The Sasquatch screamed while covered in red.

"AHHH!" The five kids screamed in fear, they all screamed before the kids took off. "I hope you kids know getting a stain out is going to murder!" The Sasquatch shouted, the word 'murder' made them scream more.

The five ran into a building slamming the doors shut. "What's with this place?" Libby asked as she panted, Molly patted her back. "What is this place? Camp dead by noon?" McGee asked as he leaned against the door.

"Seriously! A zombie with a chainsaw and a giant hairball?" Gretchen questioned sitting down. "I think the hairball is a Sasquatch, there actually quite shy and only eat people on special occasions." Squirt spoke up.

"Well that's comforting." Molly replied uneasily, just then there was a 'Boom!' and the doors to the kitchen opened to reveal a small woman. "You need fating up. Who's first?" The woman asked before the kids screamed.

After jumping out of a window, the kids made their down to the lake where they saw more tentacles appear. "Bus crusher is back!" McGee said in fear, five of the tentacles picked up the five kids with a very tight grip.

Each kid was struggling to get away from the tentacles but the grip on them was too tight so Scratch tried to help but he couldn't get Molly and Libby free. "We need a new plan!" Molly told him, they saw McGee.

McGee had borrowed Gretchen's phone but it didn't look like help was coming. "Slimey! Put those campers down!" The zombie ordered, suddenly the five kids were dropped before being taken to another building.

The zombie had said that he and his fellow monsters had big plans for the five kids so they put them inside of what looked to be an old cabin before shutting the door leaving the five kids scared out of their minds.

"I wanna go home." Libby whimpered, Molly hugged her as McGee shoved stuff against the door. "We'll be safe in here." McGee told his friends. "Ya think?" Gretchen asked him as she turned on the only light.

The kids looked around but only four out of five were terrified. "I call top bunk." Squirt said happily, he bounced on the bunk. "Now this is my kinda place!" Scratch said as he finally came out of Molly's backpack.

"A GHOST!" McGee and Gretchen shouted in fear, Molly and Libby face-palmed. "It's okay! This is Scratch, he's our friend." Molly told them, before they could react, the door handle started moving meaning danger.

"Hey, the doors the stuck! But don't worry campers, that won't stop us!" The zombie called out, the kids moved back. "Let us in you little monsters!" The Sasquatch shouted, Libby and Molly grabbed Scratch in fear.

"We want to have you for lunch!" The woman added, Libby nearly fainted at that but Molly and Scratch caught her. "Come on, this is our chance for a head start." McGee told them, the girls and Scratch followed him.

McGee pulled Squirt onto some wooden boards above the cabin. "Hey, where'd they go?" The zombie's voice rang out, McGee shushed the others before making weird hand gestures then jumped down but was caught.

The thing that had caught McGee was fly trap. "Smooth move commando." Gretchen said sarcastically, she had jumped down before Molly, Libby, Scratch and Squirt who had joined her on saving McGee from the plant.

"Let's try this again. Follow me." McGee told them, this time, they went to the docks where a coffin boat was tied up. "We can use this to get across the lake." Libby said with hope in her voice, McGee smirked at her.

"That's the plan." McGee told her, he tried to pick the lock but Molly threw the whole chain into the water and they were off even though Squirt and Scratch didn't want to leave the camp since it was very interesting.

Both them saw the three monsters. "There following us. Hey guys!" Squirt called out happily, the Sasquatch waved at him. "Time to move faster!" Gretchen said as she and McGee both paddled faster across the lake.

"Slimey! Slow them down." The Sasquatch ordered, a tentacle made them slide backwards before they saw the monsters get closer. "Throw the turkey jerky!" Libby told Gretchen, she smirked and did as Libby said.

With the appearance of a shark that wanted the food, the monsters were busy so the five kids and ghost got away. "I feel bad for them now." Molly said with guilt in her voice, Scratch gave her a look but understood.

The kids were knocked out of their boat when it hit land. "Looks like we have some company from the other camp." A nasily boy's voice said with a smirk, the five kids looked up to see some of the sunny smilers.

"Care to join us for our watermelon spitting contest?" An older girl asked them, Libby and Molly saw Andrea smirking that them. "Uh-oh." Both girls said in worry, they knew that this meant trouble for the five of them.

Libby and Molly were right as a cage trapped them and the campers got ready to pelt the five with watermelon seeds. "We're goners for sure." Libby whimpered in fear as she and her friends huddled together in worry.

However before the five were pelted and before Scratch could intervene, a chainsaw revving up could be heard as everyone turned to see the three monsters come onto land from the water which scared all of them.

"Stop messing with our campers!" The zombie told Buttsquat before he roared. "There the only ones we got." The zombie added, the tentacles lifted up the cage then used it to trap Buttsquat and Andrea who fainted.

The monsters now known as Sawyer, Armand and Rosebud explained that they had gotten carried away as they were excited to have actual campers but understood if the kids didn't want to stay at Camp Lakebottom.

So, the five kids and Scratch huddled into a circle to talk. "We've decided to stay and be bottom dwellers through and through." McGee told them as his friends smiled in agreement, the monsters were really happy.

"Where's Scratch going?" Libby asked Molly, the five kids and their new councilors watched him go into the sunny smiles camp. "Wait for it." Molly said as she held up a finger, soon screams filled the air in the camp.

"Alright! Now we can go!" Scratch said with a smile, everyone went back to Camp Lakebottom to roast marshmallows. "So...what's up with the ghost?" Gretchen asked Molly and Libby, the trio looked at each other.

Molly and Libby then looked at their ghostly pal. "Tell them." Scratch responded to them, so the three began to tell their new friends how they'd met when Molly first moved to Brighton and then at school at the time.

After hearing how Scratch got himself cursed, the three councilors laughed along with Gretchen, McGee and Squirt. "It's not funny!" Scratch shouted with a pout, they only laughed harder as did Molly and Libby.

This was turning out to be the start of the best summer ever and as along as Scratch could scare the other campers at sunny smiles, he could live with being at camp for all of summer since it's his kind of camp to be at.
