Chapter 19
Durmstrang - May 10
Jean looked at her future son-in-law with a smile. He and his friends were just having broomstick flying lessons. Suddenly she felt that someone was standing behind her. When she turned around, she saw the director of the Institute. Aleksiej stared at her. He looked like he was wondering something.
- How did you meet Mr. Snape? - he asked without preamble. She liked it in him. Conversations with him were always unbeatable.
- Lucius recommended him to us. He wrote a letter telling about Severus' situation. We were afraid that sooner or later Lyall Goyle would get our baby. Our little Luc stood up for his friend so we meet him.
- Lucius?
- Yes, Lucius Malfoy. The most adorable boy I've ever met.
She hadn't expected such a reaction. Mr. Ivanovic started to choke. - Malfoy. Isn't that the son of Abraxas Malfoy?
She already knew what he meant. - Yes, it's him. However, I met him before his father could wreak havoc on his mind. He is still a privileged and prejudiced asshole, but has developed a strong sense of loyalty to those who are close to him.
- Would you let me sit down? - Aleksiej asked, knowing that she would agree anyway. - I would like to hear story about how the paths of a Muggle family intersected with the heir of a family that, even in Durmstrang, is known for its purist leanings.
- I dont have many to tell. When I was returning from a walk with Helen, a boy appeared in the middle of the street, right next to our house. Frightened, he didn't know what to do when the car was on the road. We were lucky the car wasn't going to speed up. In the moment which I held him in my arms Lucius became my family. - she replied without hesitating. Even though fifteen years had passed since then, she still thought of him that way.

Hogwarts - May 10
Remus Lupin breathed a sigh of relief. After a long time, they all gathered together for any purpose other than arguing or teasing. It's just a pity Lily Evans didn't join them. She and James had gotten uncomfortable lately. It had been like that since Snape disappeared, but it only got worse since their last conversation.
- What are you doing during the holidays? - he asked to finally change the topic of the conversation. - I'm sick of talking about the upcoming Triwizard Tournament.
James smiled and as he looked ahead he said. - I will be at the center during the day and free in the afternoons. I miss little Reg. Cool kid. I hope that someday my son will be like him.
Sirius hit him on the shoulder. - The smile didn't come off the face of Prongs. - If you want a son like him, you should be interested in his mother. Is she pretty though?
- Pretty? This is an understatement. However, I don't think about her in these terms. - James unknowingly straightened his shirt collar. Remus sensed his friend's pheromones.
- You like her. I feel it. - Lupin chuckled.
- It's not like that. It was just because of her that I understood that the world doesn't end with Miss Lily Evans. There are other women. The kind that will not care what family I come from but who I am. - The wizard rested his head on his knees, drawing them closer to him.
- And what are you doing this vacation? - he heard the question falling from Potter's lips.
- I'm going to my family. I am to learn to manage the assets that will be owed to me from my mother's side. There is no male heir on the other side, so unfortunately it will all fall to me. - to the surprise of his friends, this sentence fell from Peter.
- Unfortunately? - Sirius was surprised. - I would be pleased with such a situation.
- My cousin cannot inherit just because she is a woman. What are you going to do on vacation?
Sirius smiled and replied as if it were something obvious. - I'll be waiting for James to come back from his forced volunteering.
- Forced? Maybe at the beginning. I volunteered there for the holidays.
Remus couldn't keep his face serious as he saw his friends banter as they used to. Admittedly on other topics, but still. They were slowly recovering what they had lost at the beginning of this school year. He could see that James would never be exactly the same again, but he didn't mind. On the contrary, he was pleased with it.

Lily was sitting with her friend at a distance from the Marauders. She remembered not long ago sitting with them on the shores of Black Lake. She had less and less chance to return to James' favors. And that was why she spent less and less time with his friends.
- What's going on with you and James? - Alice asked her what she just wished not to think. - Last year, at this time of day, he chased you like a dog during heat. And now? He hardly notices you. He doesn't sit far away from you in class, but he doesn't look for you either.
- I don't know what's wrong with him. It's not my fault that Severus left.
- What does Snape have to do with this?
Lily didn't know what to say. She couldn't tell what she found out at the beginning of the school year. She still hoped she could regain Sev's friendship. Now that she had seen how easily James had rejected her, she knew that it wasn't worth rejecting her childhood friend's friendship.

Evan Potter was pleased with the progress of this class. It wasn't just Severus and Ivanna making progress. But also Dimitrij, MichaiĆ, and even Victor Krum, who usually paid more attention to Quidditch than to study. He wouldn't be surprised if the latter's child ever played professionally. Victor had no talent for flying, but was an amazing trainer from his first time.
- I think we can finish today's class. - he said in a calm tone of voice. They had a class today on recognizing a vampire and how to deal with treating wounds on a freshly bitten one. - Remember, not everyone bitten by a vampire will become a vampire. Three conditions are needed for transformation. The bite, the release of venom and ...
- A victim who is unable to fight the venom. Vampire venom is only effective when the bitten person's body is unable to fight the infection on its own.
Evan didn't have to watch the person who burst into his room. The very sound of his voice told him who it was. His teacher and his nightmare stood in one person within a short distance of him. Sole resident of the Ice Tower. He hasn't changed at all. His almost white irises glowed with an icy glow.
- Where's Mr. Snape and his mate?
His teacher was furious. And he knew that this anger would have to be released somewhere.

Entering the school, he immediately sensed where to look. The veela's smell was distinctive. At least for him. He could bet the werewolf could sense him as well. His pheromones were strong and musky. He was surprised to find not only Mr. Snape but Evan Potter in the room upon opening the door. Because of Potter, he promised himself that he would never take on a student again. However, this case interested him. And looking at the boy, he knew why.

Nurmengrad - May 10
Gellert Grindelwald saw in a vision something he had never expected to see. The Flame of the Lantern that his father told him about before he died. It looked exactly the same as in his stories. It looked like it was made of ice. However, unlike ice, it had the transparency of glass. He saw a person moving up the stairs. A person who, when approaching the hearth, created a blue flame. A flame like the one that has always been his signature spell. He must get to know this wizard. He has to get out of here.

Another chapter. Satisfied? Or maybe disappointed? Next week the chapter won't come up every day because I'm going to the hospital with my son. Regards, katie-krum
