Chapter 20
Durmstrang - May 11
He didn't like this place. Despite the fact that he knew that the professors of this school put a lot of effort into ensuring that the students had the best possible level of education, he couldn't help but feel that it shouldn't be like this. Learning magic should be individual. After all, everyone has a different predisposition. Other strengths and weaknesses. The class system made no sense. Fortunately, the classes consisted of a maximum of ten people.
- Headmaster. - He nodded when he entered the classes led by Aleksiej Ivanovic. - Am I bothering you? I would like to take a look at all the classes before deciding to talk to the students that my former pupil wrote to me about.
- Of course. Please sit in the back. I wouldn't like you to draw to much attention. - the headmaster's voice was steadily calm. He was impressed that the wizard wasn't at all affected by his presence. - Just be warned that I would prefer you not to intervene during the practice. We have good healers. As long as there is no threat to life, we don't intervene. This is the best way to know your own limits.
For the first time since he had come here, he felt surprised. And frankly speaking, he didn't know what to do with it.

Severus was getting nervous. The exams for the end of this school year were approaching. Admittedly, Helen and her parents tried to calm him down, but he walked as pumped up as if his life depended on these exams. The situation wasn't improved by the man who had been hanging around the institute since yesterday.
They were surprised when he showed up at the end of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. He didn't even strain and his energy could be felt in every corner of the room. He wondered who or what he was.
- He impressed you too? - As always, Viktor Krum didn't mince words. - I'm curious why he came here. He looks like the wizard from my grandparents' fairy tales.
This interested the black-haired wizard. - From fairy tales? Can you say more?
- Among some families, there is a fairy tale about the Ice Fortress. It was to be built in the place where the first man gifted with magic was born. Such a magical version of the Muggle Utopia. Supposedly, both magical and non-magical families lived next to each other. You've heard what modern families do with Squibs. They mysteriously "disappear". In the stories of Grandpa and Grandma, even Squibs had their place in Ice Society. Each time the story ended with an Outsiders invasion and the destruction of the Ice Fortness.
- Is it written down somewhere? - Snape would like to know more about this.
- Unfortunately not. I don't remember much. My grandparents are dead and my dad wasn't interested in this story. I wrote down as much as I remembered, but I left this notebook at home. Grandma spoke with great longing in her voice about the Ice Tower from which you could see almost the entire area.

Helen was sitting on the Bridge with Elsa and Ivanna. After the ritual, she spent most of her time with Severus to keep the bond going. Now that their bond was lasting, they could both afford to spend time separately, not only in class. The three of them studied for the exams. She was a year younger than her fiancé but that didn't mean she could afford to get bad exam results. Not only for him, but also for Lucius. She practically grew up with him and she would like him to be proud of her.
- Do you have your herbal medicine notes with you? - she asked when she realized that she had forgotten her notebook.
Elsa smiled. - But you know that you could pass all your exams 120 percent even without repeating if someone woke you up in the middle of the night? I've never seen someone who has studied so much.
- Are you sure? - Ivanna turned to their Castle. - Who do you see there? There I see a hellishly handsome, black-haired owner of a large nose.
Helen felt herself flush. - What's with that nose? Once again, I hear you commenting on the size of this particular body part.
- Well, you know in some circles it is said that big feet, hands and nose are the harbinger of a long… penis.
- Elsa, will you remind me why we study with her? After all, she's a year up. - Helen tried to keep her face serious. - And since when do you rate my guy in these categories?

Hogwarts - May 11
Minerva McGonagall wondered how to bring peace to her class. The former dynamics was shaken, and since the disappearance of Mr. Snape, the collaboration between Mr. James Potter and Miss Lily Evans has also disappeared. The transmutation professor knew that a disturbance of one element could affect others as well, but was unaware it would to that extent.
She was aware of the split between the red-haired witch and her friends. Mr. Potter was no longer the same wizard he was last year. She had seen this young man develop gradually. A development that was proportional to the distance from his former object of interest.
- The project for passing the subject, which allows to take the exams this year, will be performed in pairs. You will have to transform the distributed matches into music boxes. One that can be opened without any problems. Each of the music boxes should have a symbol of your chosen house inside and play the melody that you draw at the exit.

James Potter was furious. Why out of all 40 students in the classroom had to be matched to this particular girl? Now when he was trying to distance himself from her? He didn't want to be in her hands again. He had other things to think about, and he wasn't going to allow himself to be disturbed by her.
He hit the wall with his fist right after he left the classroom. He felt blood drip from his knuckles. Anyway, he also noticed blood on the bricks.
Professor McGonagall followed him out of the room. She tried to ask him something but he said shortly. - Sorry, but I have to go to Madam Pomfrey. I hurt myself.
He couldn't help feeling that recently everything he believed had collapsed like a house of cards.

Albus Dumbledore was surprised to see his deputy at this time. He expected that she would now have classes with the combined sixth year of the Slytherin and Gryffindor Houses. But she was now nervous in his office as if something had happened.
- I don't know if it was a good idea. - She said nervously walking around his office. - I don't know if it was a good idea to pair these two during the final project.
- Are you talking about? - He couldn't really remember what it was about. Recently, he has been working on finding a loophole in a bill mandating the introduction of a new subject. He thought teaching wizarding culture at a school of magic was stupidly unnecessary.
- Mr. Potter and Miss Evans. You haven't seen how this boy was furious with this assignment. He broke his fingers hitting the wall right after leaving class.
- Be calm. They'll spend some time together, and everything should be back to normal. Normally next year I would propose that they both become Head Girl and Head Boy so that they could get closer to each other, but through the interventions of Abraxas Malfoy and Dorothea Potter this isn't possible.
Minerva sat down on the bench next to his bookcase. - Why do you care so much for these two to make up with each other? I don't believe that this is simply an action out of your good heart.

Narcissa Black couldn't stop chuckling as she walked towards the Slytherin Common Room. She doesn't think that she'll ever forget James Potter's angry expression. The comicity of the situation was added by the fact that his partner Lily was overwhelmed with joy. She was wondering what will come out of this project. It would be interesting to see the day Lily Evans isn't admitted to the exam. She had always pissed her off. But now it was even worse. At least James Potter tried to change. Unlike her. James Potter asks them about Severus every now and then. Unlike her.
- Cissa, what happened? - Lucius asked the question as soon as he saw her.
- Come to my room. Everything I can tell you. - Narcissa knew she could let him into her room. Sometimes she wondered why he was so reluctant to sex before marriage. After all, most friends their age have already was doing it.
