Chapter 22
Ice Tower, in the middle of Wasteland - June 19
He was smiling. He was smiling for the first time in a long time. After Severus was punished for refusing to fight his future wife, he was no longer met with opposition from his students. They both agreed to spend their vacation at the Ice Fortress. He was glad. As the amount of magic increased, the walls of the fortress began to rebuild.
He had been watching Helena since morning. She was weaker than Severus, but not inferior to him in terms of skills. When he got to know the circumstances of their merger, he began to think that from the beginning they were destined for each other, but that someone was involved in this destiny. He didn't know what the purpose of this could be, but he knew that he would teach them enough so that later they could develop their full potential.
- That's all for today. You deserve some rest.
They didn't hear his voice immediately. They realized that something was happening only when he let out a beam of his energy that prevented them from breathing freely.
- I said it's over for today. - he growled a little irritated.
- We haven't done what you asked us to do yet. - Mr. Snape was a very compulsory student. A student who was sometimes blocked by his excessive perfectionism.
The wizard watched the black ribbons of fire emanating from the young boy's hand. He was impressed. It was a long time since he had seen a veele bring out this skill. Black combined with the blue of fire, which was used not only by himself but also by Helen, looked amazing. And the power was damned strong.
- Relax, Severus. You told me yourself that rest is as important as work. - Helen's voice became unusually gentle as she tried to soothe her partner. - I know you are concerned about our return to Durmstrang. Remember it will only be a few days. We have to pass the exams. Then we'll come back here to continue our lesson.

Hogwarts - June 19
Lucius Malfoy stormed into the Slytherin Common Room. Narcissa Black, who was sitting on the couch with her sister and cousin, was scared. Her fiancé is usually not so dynamic. At least not in public.
- What happened Lucius? - she asked looking straight into his eyes.
The blonde walked up to her and with a sudden movement lifted her up while tightly embracing her with his arms. After a while he released her and, embarrassed, apologized for his behavior. - Cissa, I made it. I passed all my exams and received the scholarship I wanted.
Narcissa knew how much he cared about it. She was happy with him. However, she couldn't help but feel the sadness in her heart. Lucius said that this scholarship also covers school during the summer holidays.
- Don't worry. It's only two months. What are two months compared to all life? You're the only woman I care about.
She smiled. She was about to say something, but Bellatrix, her sister, interrupted her. The dark-haired witch stood with her hands on her hips and asked with venom in her voice. - I'd like to know - what's going on here?
Narcissa noticed that Regulus was sitting, smiling as he watched their conversation. Sometimes this young Slytherin was more of a snake than all the rest of her circle of friends put together.
- I'm going on a scholarship to Durmstrang, so if I try, I can be at Hogwarts next year as a tutor for those students. I'll see Sev.
- What am I supposed to do? I am also finishing school this year. I want to see him too. - Bella was disappointed. However, Narcissa knew that if her sister wanted something, she always got it. She always was like that.

Potter Manor - June 19
Dorothea Potter loved lonely mornings. She didn't have to act like an exemplary housewife then. Admittedly, she had been far from her mother-in-law's ideal lately, but this otter had always believed that she wasn't suitable for Fleamont's wife. Euphemia couldn't understand why Henry chose witch from a family known as black magic lovers.
Immediately after moving into the Manor, she found a level in the basement, unused for more than century. She was looking for a place where she could train without being constantly watched by her new family. This level was like a gift for her at Yule. She immediately asked the elves from the house of Rosier for help in tidying up the place. At first, they didn't want to help her, because she had already entered the magic of her husband's family, but after explaining the circumstances, they understood why she didn't want help from the elves dealing with Potter Manor.
Thea was pleased with herself. Each of her spells grew stronger and stronger. She was married - that's a fact. She was a mother - that's a fact. However, it was also a fact that she was still a woman who was keen on developing her skills. Just because she had a husband and a child didn't mean she was supposed to forget about herself.
She watched with satisfaction as the arrow, shaped from her energy, plunged into the very center of the target and then blurred, leaving some black smoke in the air.

The Disabled Wizards Association, London - June 19
Regan Bennet knew his life wasn't going to be easy. But he also knew that the more he worked on himself, his life would become easier. That's why he worked on his magic as much as he could. He took advantage of the fact that underage magic isn't strictly controlled until the child enters the school of magic.
- Move up. - He growled when the tea cup refused to go up again. He could easily lift an empty cup, but if he could lift a full one ... It would be a lot easier for him.
When he got nervous, he saw the cup move slightly. The boy smiled. He knew he had made progress. He turned and left the room. He was so focused on his little success that he didn't notice what happened. As it turned in place, the stump of his left hand made an arc and the mug glided towards the wall.

Hogwarts - June 19
He breathed a sigh of relief. James didn't know what he would do if it turned out that working with Lily was failure. They might fail, and that would mean an extra year at Hogwarts. He loved this school, but if he was to be honest with himself, Hogwarts became a symbol of his mistakes for him at that moment.
- Hi, James. - he didn't have to open his eyes to know who that voice belonged to. Lily.
Damn Lily Evans. If he hadn' been blinded by her beauty, he might have figured out what he had in common with Severus earlier, and they could have solved it amicably. Maybe he could spare him these years of suffering. It was easy to blame her. He knew that it was really all his fault.
- Hi Lily. You're not with your friends right now? - he asked. - Soon is the end of the year, finally. You won't see each other for the entire vacation.
- Could I help you in the association? I think I could learn a lot there.
He couldn't forbid her. Even if he refuses, she will be able to find her way to this place herself, but the atmosphere could be terrible then. - Okay. Take your sister with you. There are also a few squibs there. She would be able to introduce them to the Muggle world. Maybe I'll come over and talk to your parents about it. By the way, I will meet Petunia. We only know only a little about her.
He saw the exact moment Lily's jaw clenched. He didn't think he would upset her that much. He just wanted to know if she really wanted to help or if it was another way of getting closer to him.
- I'll send you an owl after I talk to my parents.
She didn't even stay to talk to him. He could wait for his friends in peace. He was glad the exams were coming. He knew that some of the students from the last year had already passed their exams. He only hoped that the next school year would be easier for him. At least emotionally.

Malfoy Manor - June 19
Tom Riddle was talking to his friend in his office when they were surprised by the appearance of Thorus Nott. It was evident that was something happened. He was afraid that one of his plans had failed. - Report. - he growled.
- Tom, do you remember when we talked about the orphanage in which you grew up?
- Go on … - Tom tried to be calm. He had no good memories of that place.
- Boys and I thought that it would be good to check how many kids were in a similar situation. We found fourteen children. We are now examining their origins to find families who could take care of them. It will be easier to obtain approval if they are at least somewhat related to the head of the new home. Finally we went to Wool's. Mrs. Cole is missing. The police didn't find her body.
Tom Riddle didn't know what to say. - Do you know anything more?
- After a weak imperius, I was able to find out that she had disappeared while caring for an nameless child with devilish abilities. This child has been tied to a wall by a leash and his hands have been cut off. Both. - Thorus Nott swallowed, he was one of the cruelest wizards he knew, but he would never hurt a child. - In this basement ... There were traces of dark magic. In an amount I've never felt. I have no doubt that it was death, not a disappearance. But who did it and where is this baby?
- I'd like to know that too. You don't even know how much.

Another chapter. Today, supposed to be Severus and Helen's training, but my imagination led me to other areas. I hope you liked this chapter anyway. Regards Katie-Krum
