I don't own Marvel; this is a prequel to my one shot the 'Unforgivable Punisher'.

The Exiled Punisher

As Anna Watson had finished blowing out her birthday candles with her niece and the Parkers. Her three guests clapped their hands in celebration for the humble lady. Unfortunately, one guest could only pretend to celebrate.

Peter's mind was focused on other matters. While the young man had agreed to come over to the Watson's party as a favour to M.J and his own Aunt. Recent event which had happened in Peter's personal life recently had depleted what should have been a small moment of joyfulness for the young man.

While the three ladies stayed around the coffee table, The Midtown student carefully walked out of the backdoor. Letting the night-time spring air fill into his lungs. Peter took out his cell phone. He promised himself he wouldn't do this…. but sadly, his recent insecurities wouldn't allow him to disregard to temptation.

With a touch of his phone's speed dial Peter made his plea "Hi Gwen, I know it's been some time since we broke up for Easter, I know you wanted space to be with Harry. God, I hope he is okay. Since his dad died, I know he has been distant and well 'angry'. Can't blame him. You've really done so much for him Gwen. "

Peter bit his lip trying figure out the next words he should say "Look Gwen, I know Harry has to be your world now. Epically with all that's happened to him, but if you ever want to talk or need some time to get some stuff of your chest. I'm here if you need an ear." Peter chuckled sadly "Anyways probably should hang up now. M.J's aunt wants to cut the cake." Peter finished ending the call.

Peter, put his mobile back into pocket. Sighing tiredly, the young Parker couldn't help but feel a wave of selfishness pass through him. Here he was at his neighbour's birthday party and all he could think about was how the girl he loved was still hooked up with his best friend. A best friend who lost his farther less than a month ago.

Norman Osborn, even now Peter could feel a sickness swell through his teeth thinking about the deceased Green Goblin. What Norman did as the Goblin, the lives he screwed over for his criminal escapades. Otto, Flint, Mark even his own son framing him and even taking a moment to breck Harry's leg during that frame up. The man didn't need to wear a costume to play monster.

Peter sighed sadly, then again that monster was still Harry's dad. A dad he did everything for. Even when Harry learned of who Norman really was. He still took his side, once he saw him fly into that tankard of bombs Harry didn't see the Goblin, he just saw his farther being sent to his death. A death bestowed upon him by Spider Man.

Even to this day when ever Spider Man was mentioned within the young Osborn's presence. Harry would just see red and go into rage of verbal bashing about the web slinger. Calling him a murder, a bastard even stating Jameson was being too easy in his own bashing. Those moments of verbal abuse broke Peter's heart that his best friend felt this way about him now. Alter ego or not.

Then who could blame him. Afterall the reason Walter Hardy was still in prison was because Peter couldn't let go of his anger of what he did to Uncle Ben. Then there was Gwen, even now Peter still yearned for her. To see her smile, her gentleness, her touch. Peter truly missed her. Now he had to put his feeling for her aside so Harry could maintain some sanity as her boyfriend. None the less it still hurt him that he could never have her again. Plus, with Liz, since the breck up she barely acknowledges his existence.

Who could blame her? Throughout their dating, she had been nothing but loyal to him. Willing to give him world if he asked that of her. Even that time they made love in her apartment one study afternoon. So, the life of Spider Man was now a media debate for those who believed or didn't believe he killed Norman Osborn making it harder to do his job. Some people who he saved now seemed have a fear of him. Beneath that, for the life of Peter Parker his current situation was this. One best friend who despised his alter ego, one girlfriend he should have treated better and another he didn't notice until it was too late.

"Dam it." Peter whispered angrily with himself. As the young man massaged his head tidily. Wondering how the hell is life had decided to go down under? He felt like he was being punished by something. What was worse Peter couldn't deny it was a punishment that he had sewn for himself.

"I deserve this." Peter said aloud.

"Deserve what?" A kind but confident voice asked.

Peter turned to his side to see M.J. The redhead, herself came out to gain some air as well "You seem, to be a bit out of it Tiger." M.J commented concerningly.

Peter sighed "Sorry, Marry Jane I was just…...pondering I guess."

Marry Jane placed a comforting hand on Peter's shoulder. "Is it about Gwen and Harry?" She asked. Peter nodded glumly "I know, it hurt you that she decided to stay with him."

"But I got to be the bigger man and put my feelings aside for my best friend's sake." Peter reaffirmed "I guess I deserve it. I mean I treated Liz like crap when I should have been honest with her at the start or at least tried harder in the relationship. You know she cried after the breck up? Sally told me in her usual shouty way. I mean who makes a person cry? Ex or not." Peter sobered "She deserved better M.J."

"Well Tiger, you're not the only who feels bad about that. Won't lie I really did want you and Gwen to get together." Marry Jane admitted "Gwen was my friend and, I just didn't think you and Liz were right together. To be honest I wasn't surprised a breck up was going to happen. Even so, I'm sorry what happened. Liz wasn't like the other girls she was somebody who I think wanted to get out of her stereotype. You helped her with that Peter, I guess I wish I took that more into account" Marry Jane confessed feeling a tang of guilt course through her due to her role in the breck up.

Peter turned to face her; another Allen came to his mind "Have you heard anything about Mark?"

M.J allowed a gust of strong cold ait to leave her mouth "I've tried Pete. Since he was arrested, I tried to see him. Anytime I try to book a visit he just blows me off. I send letters which don't get replied and it is starting to get demotivating. I want to help him; I want him to beat his condition but all he does is push me away."

"He doesn't want to push me away M.J. He just wants to protect you." Peter tried to affirm to his neighbour "Mark, you need to understand M.J he went though hell. His bookie's they used him horribly. Making him into Molten Man, he was just a normal kid trying to get back on the right track then some dam loan shark injected him with that junk. Now the guy is locked up when he should be going to school." Marry Jan shivered when she heard the words 'Locked up.' Despite it being a few months since Marks arrest, the idea he was in a cage with those other criminals. It still did not settle with her.

"The last time he saw you M.J you almost got killed with Liz his own sister because of the fire he caused. I can assure you, when a guy has that on his mind, he won't be able to look at anyone for a long while, especially that closet to him." Peter concluded unfortunately remembering his own past mistakes when he got his powers, the mistakes which led to his uncle being shot. "He just needs time M.J to get his head together, to come to terms with what happened to him. When he finally does, then he will need you more than ever."

"You, know Tiger, you would have made an awesome Guru if you wanted to." Marry Jane tease giving a sneaky pleasant wink to the young man. Peter blushed trying to hide from the redhead.

M.J placed her hand onto his. With a sweet smile Marry Jane made her offer "How about me and you go for walk around the block, our aunts probably started watching their soap opera I think we can spare fifteen minutes."

Peter at first wondered but eventually happily accepted the offer. As Peter took his neighbour by the arm like a gentleman. The two started stroll around the neighbourhood peacefully. The spring night filled the street with an ease of new beginnings, a healthy warmness shrouded the two youngsters. Allowing the two just too enjoy the walk-in bliss.

Until Peter's spider sense started to tingle. The young man turned behind him in a flash with startlement filling up his face. "What's wrong Pete!?" M.J asked after seeing the change in Peter's demeanour.

The red-heads question would be answered, from the drain at the bottom of the pavement. A large, amount of water was gushing out of the drain in an abnormal manor. As the teens started in horror, the water started to mount upon itself rising to a man-sized height. Finally, after a few seconds, the water finally reshaped into a muscled male with two yellow eyes.

Peter put M.J behind him, trying to keep her protected from the new creature. "Who or even what are you!" Peter demanded.

The water creature eyed the pair "Your Parker aren't ya." The monster stated in a watery drowned voice. "You're the guy who takes pictures of Spider Man."

Peter realized what this was. He had hoped something like this wouldn't happen, but it seems he was naïve on that front. One of the criminals new or old would find out he took pictures of well himself. In order to get to Spider Man, they would get to him. Without even knowing he was Spider Man in the first place. It was a loophole Peter should have taken more consideration about when taking the Bugle job.

"Look you, Hydro Man I guess." Peter threated but also awkwardly made up the name as well "We don't want any trouble, if you know what's good for you. You better clear off or I will get Spider Man on you. I got his contact number you know." Peter lied desperately.

"Go ahead punk." Hydro Man backtalked smugly "You'll just make my job way easier; I want that freak here so I can drown him easier. Get rid of the Spider all of New York going to be tumbling down for me."

M.J grabbed Peter's arm in panic "Peter, we got to get out run away from this thing! I don't care who takes him down Spider Man or the Police. Right now, we need to get somewhere safe." M.J warned knowing how dangerous a super villain could be from her own personal experiences.

Peter tried to retort but a gash of water silenced him, as Peter was thrown to a house wall drenched in water. M.J tried to come to his defence, but Hydro Man physically waved himself right in front of her. Before Marry Jane had a chance to escape Hydro Man engulfed her expanding his mouth and swollen her hole. Marry Jane tried to swim out of his stomach to escape and get to Peter, but Hydro Man kept her trapped inside of him.

Peter eyes went a blaze at the sight "LET HER GO NOW!" He warned.

"I will punk, all you have to do for me first is to call Spider Man then I let the pretty lady go." Hydro Man condescendingly answered, "If I were you kid, I would start calling, because I don't think red here as much time left." Hydro Man's warning couldn't be truer Marry Jane's face was turning red from the suffocation as she squirmed while she swam. Time was running out.

"Please, you don't understand." Peter begged.

"Oh, I understand, your either too chicken to call him or you were bull shiting me about knowing him. Regardless of yourself I say red here only has five seconds to go. Tick, tock man." Hydro Man giggled at the horrible fate's he was exposing these young people too.

Peter gritted his teeth; he didn't have choice. The only way he could save Marry Jane was exposing his identity to this bastard. It was the only choice, "Okay, Hydro Man you want Spider Man! I will give you…"

Peter's speech flatlined within a second. His eyes peeled at the sight before him. Marry Jane, she wasn't breathing anymore. She wasn't struggling or moving. Hydro Man flushed her out of his stomach allowing her to slide towards Peter. Peter bent down to examine the red head.

While Peter was no stranger to a dead body, he none the less prayed to God it wasn't so as he checked her pulse.

Peter's heart flattened as he could feel nothing from her. "No." Peter gasped out feeling tears come down his eyes "M.J, Marry Jane! Oh god I'm so sorry!" Peter cried out cradling his departed friend in his arms. Rocking her body like a baby begging this was just a horrible nightmare. His brain unable to comprehend what had just happened. Not wanting to accept what had happened to his wonderful friend.

Peter stayed in this pose with Marry Jane's body just feeling grief and horror consume him. Peter kissed her forehead gently. Hoping it could create some sense of peace for himself knowing her body had experienced a moment of goodness after it was subjected to such torture.

However, his moment of sorrow would be stopped by the monster who had done this vile act "Well, I guess her time was up. Not even a consolation prize. Pity she was a quite babe." Hydro Man mocked as he licked his lip seductively imagining horrible sexual fantasies with his dead victim.

That was the last straw for Peter, the young man laid the body down peacefully as he stood up darkly. Grabbing his web shooters from his pockets he clipped them onto his arms. "What are those?" Hydro Man asked.

"The weapons I'm going to use to end you." Peter snarled like a spectre. Peter webbed a dustbin and slammed it viscously into Hydro Man turning him into drops of water.

Hydro Man reconstructed himself after the attack. Re-examining his second victim "Wait, you webbed that? Like….no…...no way!" Hydro Man gasped putting the pieces together "Your!"

"Punisher!" Peter barked back. Peter webbed Hydro Man in an unstable continuously stride. Cocooning the criminal. Hydro Man was trying to sweat himself out of his prison, but Peter stopped him as he grabbed the cocoon. Seeing, an electrical battery attached to the back of the house Peter sling shotted the cocoon into it.

The last thing he could hear was Hydro Man's screams as he was electrified from the impact. His life dismantling from each shock as the water he was made from evaporated. Finally, all the water had vanished and all that was left was a burnt couple of webs. Peter allowed this new founded rush to take over him. Peter Parker, the egghead, the honour student, the spectacular Spider Man. Had just committed a murder and all he did not feel an ounce of regret. If anything, he felt good.

There was a beast within Peter, something horrible which had been sleeping within for a long time. There had been moments when it tried to come out of him. When he confronted Uncle Ben's killer, when he saw Gwen dangling from the monkey float, when he found out Green Goblin was Norman Osborn. This darkness had tried so hard to come out, especially when the symbiote had bonded with him. Now after all this time it only took this horrible evening for Peter's inner killer to finally be freed. No questions, no pondering about the morality and ethics of the act he had just committed. Anything wrong about the murder just felt right to Peter. He didn't feel chaos just some idea of order at the sight of the corpse. In Peter's new founded eyes true justice had been served.

Suddenly a few couple of flashes went off behind him. Peter turned to find a heard of his neighbours taking pictures of him on their phones. Gasping, shouting and just bewildered at the scene they just witnessed.

"Holy shit! Did you see that!"

"That kid, he's Spider man!"

"Doesn't he live here I've seen him around."

"Look at how he fried that guy! Bout time he started putting those lowlifes down."

Peter tried to hide his face from the flash photography. It was hard as his eyes were being blinded by the number of flashes. Any moment Peter tried to get his head around the fact everyone now knew he was Spider Man had been denied to the young man. His head couldn't stop spinning in the ongoing chaos, he couldn't get any mental stability in this moment.

Suddenly! A horrid anguished heartbroken scream broke Peter from his focus on the paparazzi. Pushing her way through the crowd a very distress Anna Watson found the dead body of her beloved niece. Anna couldn't even formulate the words on what she was seeing. Her body lost its ability to stand as she fell down onto the body. Cradling Marry Jane, screaming in wretched pure agony at the lost she had been delt on her birthday.

Peter just stepped away uncomfortably. Not knowing how to help the poor woman. All he could feel was his heart breaking at the broken sight. Peter didn't know what to do. When he tried to figure out a plan. Peter just saw a person walk out from the crowd. His Aunt May.

Her face was one of confusion, sadness and even a tad of fear. These emotions weren't given to her by Hydro Man or even the murder of M.J. She was scared of Peter. The way she looked at him, it was like she saw him as a stranger not the four-year-old who was given into her care. The nephew she raised into his teens. Instead in her eye view, from what Peter could make out. The woman only saw a monster.

Peter couldn't stand it. Not her, not her of all people. He never wanted her to see him in that way. Aunt May tried to come near him "Peter." She shakily asked.

Peter couldn't stand the scene in front of him. This real nightmare which had unfolded anymore. Zapping a web into the air Peter swung away from the prying eyes or rather he swung away from the aunt he failed.

He didn't even know if she called out for him to come back.

Back Ally

Rain started to pour down the city of Manhattan, grey clouds sweltered the night sky entirely. Everything was dark, everything was wet, yet Peter just kept running into the nearest ally he could find. Once Peter found an entrance for his solace.

Once Peter entered, he couldn't help but feel utterly filthy. Gulping down the heavy rain as he contemplated what had just transpired. His skin itched from the shame, from the blood he had on his hands. He couldn't drain any of it him.

The one contestant in his mind was the face of his aunt May. He didn't think or even care that people knew he was Spider Man or the consequences it might hold for his loved ones. Just seeing that fear in her face. It was just sickening to him, sickening that he made her feel that way. Looking at her face he felt more like a criminal than Hydro Man.

Peter touched his chest trying to calm himself down. However instead of relaxing, Peter felt his suit's webbed featured lines. He didn't remember he had been wearing it. Somehow once he realized he had been wearing it, he started to feel his skin irritate. Burn even.

The suit, the red and blue one he had made with love and care, with pride and respect. Now was rejecting him. No longer feeling he was worthy of dawning the suit. Peter slowly took off his casual clothes in order to take off his suit. Once the suit was off and Peter re dressed, he saw the dumpster next to him. Even now as Peter was holding his costume, he felt a stinging pain emit from it to his hand. Peter walked to the bin, opened the lid, and dump his disowned spectacular suit into inside, forever.

"Spider Man doesn't kill." Was all Peter thought.

New York's dock

Peter was wearing a poor mans hoodie and shades to hide his face, a huge backpack behind his back. Peter strove through the docks area, trying his best to get to one of the ships. He didn't know where it was going all he knew was that he needed to get out of New York. He would sneak on bored and plan what to do next when he landed.

Peter had too, now everyone knew he had been formally Spider Man, everyone close to him was in danger. Peter had made a lot of enemies in New York. With this reveal he suspected he had made some new ones. Images of Harry's angry face crossed his mind.

At least once, he left there was a chance none of them could be targeted. They would be vengeful enough to leave New York just to find him. After all the Sinister Six had been born from their united hatred for him. All he could was hope some of New York other heroes could protect it. That devil guy from Hell's Kitchen, the other man with the super fist and not to mention Stark and his new iron suits. They were people who should be the face of New York when it came to Heroism. Peter, he lost the right to be involved in that privilege.

Peter watched as the ship docked into the harbour, now he was his chance. He would swing to the top and hide in the bottom or even vents. Peter got his hand out and was about to tap the button on his shooter.

Until a hand stopped him "Peter?"

Peter sighed expressly, the voice and her touch. Were all too familiar to him. Something he had taken for granted. Now secretly, he craved the human comfort of someone he once was close too. Someone he once loved.

"Liz," Peter breathed out.

"What are you doing?" Liz asked as the rain drenched her yellow raincoat. Peter just remained silent, "I will ask you again. What are you doing 'Spider Man' "she said more viciously.

"I'm leaving." Peter answered back bitterly.

Liz pulled away in disgust "Figures when things get hard you just tip toe out of here. That's you to a T Pete."

"What do you want me to do? If I stay here, you May everyone I ever cared about is in danger. If I leave, you and everyone else has a chance to be safe. Live normally without looking over your back, those other heroes can take care of things." Peter summarized "Iron Man, Daredevil they make things better. I only ever made things worse."

As Peter finished his sad confession his spider sense clicked in all too late as Liz sent a hard slap across his face. Grinding her teeth, she steamed out a few short yet damming words "Do you know how selfish you sound."

Peter touched the red patch of skin, feeling the simmering pain on his cheek. A sad smile crossed his mouth "Yeah, your right. I always was selfish. If I wasn't Uncle Ben and M.J might still be alive today. Mark wouldn't have become Molten Man."

"DON'T YOU DARE BRING HIM INTO THIS!" Liz stammered angrily "His problems are his problems. Yours's is yours. If you leave now your no better than he was when he went back to gambling. If anything, your worse. At least Mark is trying to get better all you are doing is running away. You're just a coward Peter."

Peter, completely agreed with everything his ex-had said. Anytime he thought he had overcome a problem; felt he had become a better person. Something would happen resting his life back to a bad spell. What was different now was that he had no one to blame but himself. No Symbiote to blame, no Osborn to blame. No Walter Hardy to blame.

The Spectacular Spider man was now dead. The Peter Parker who started that journey was also dead. Now this Peter Parker, was someone he just didn't like anymore. This Peter Parker was just lost to his own darkness. Peter turned to see Liz, already he could see her expected anger. Despite her hatred for him. Through the rain looking into her deep eyes. Peering into them, he didn't see an angry ex. He saw a girl begging him to stay.

Peter's heart quenched. The remains of his past life begging him to reconsider to face this new unfortunate development. Peter wanted to tell her yes. Tell her he would stay and face it all the good and the bad. To try and destroy this killer he had become. To make it all work out for her, but like Liz said he was selfish.

"I'm sorry Liz." Peter turned around and webbed onto the ship leaving his former love behind, forever. Liz stayed the final hour to watch the ship leave with Peter. She walked through the rain like a ghost. Unable to feel or understand what had happened.

She took out a small white item from her pocket. "Well, Petey you might have left forever, but apart of you will never leave me ever." Liz choked out looking at a pregnancy test.

A Positive one.

Bayville (3 weeks later)

Within a sticking garage in the dark of night. A couple of gangs where unscrewing and depleting a couple of stolen cars. Recently the small town of Bayville had become victim to local car thieves. Each one doing their best to get a good score, not caring about the people they destroyed in the process.

As one criminal licked his ugly lips at the doh, he just made, he didn't see the bullet which came through the back of his head.

The other crooks stopped their crooked business too see the murder of their comrade. Taking their guns and knifes they got ready for what was coming "Who's there? Show yourself ya bastard."

As that crook finished his question another shot came slicing through his chest sending him down bleeding on the floor. The figure revealed himself jumping down from the shadows.

Peter at last showed off his new suit morbidly. It was terribly similar to his black symbiote suit, but the differences could be seen. While the new suit was black, A silver grey web pattern covered the suit, his mask's eye goggles indexes were filled in black with white lines on the outside, they were also squinter compared to his original wide ones.

However, the suits major latest changes made their presence known. Peter had redesigned his web shooters to have pistols armed onto them, a metallic belt clipped around his waist filled with all kinds of hard destructive weaponry. Yet the thing which drew the crooks to the suit was the chest. Instead of a spider, now stood a white big skull. A mark of death.

One of the crooks finally spoke up weakly "What are you doing here? This an't your town! Your Spider Man!" Peter just eyed the hood. A cold repressed voice escaped his lips.

"I'm not the Spectacular Spider Man, I am the Unforgivable Punisher."

THE END
