Jack and I managed to escape the desert region and continued traveling to find a way home as the weeks went by while also getting me started on how to control my new abilities that had been discovered thanks to Aku revealing what I am, figuring out that I can form weapons from my body, seamlessly change my size, liquify myself, shapeshift into any form I desired, have clones of myself separate from me, stretch and expand my body, then I could change into a huge amorphous mass of darkness that was similar to the mass that had altered me into what I am now while Jack also began teaching me everything he knew until more time had gone by and we had boarded a ship and were having dinner while a man dressed in a Viking outfit was telling a story to someone.

"I alone was the only survivor after my entire robot army was annihilated while, in my dreams, I still see arrows falling like rain," the Viking finished as the man who was listening looked interested.

"What does the tower hold that would make you sacrifice a whole army? Treasure? Gold? Rubies?" the man questioned curiously and the Viking scowled.

"Bah, nothing as materialistic as treasure because, at the top of the tower, is a mystical well known as the well of King Ozric, and those who reach the infamous well are granted one wish, your greatest desire," the Viking clarified while that got the attention of me and Jack as we subtly looked at each other while Jack was wearing a straw hat on his head and I had the hood on my hoodie flipped up to hide my face while a short Asian man went over to the Viking with an unamused look.

"Get out of the great khan's chair and what are you, telling stories again? Get swabbing the deck or I'll toss you overboard, you damn has-been," the ship-hand snapped irritably, making the Viking get up and walk over to a mop with a bucket before pushing it to the exit while passing me and Jack until we stood up after finishing our dinner and Jack went to tap the Viking on the shoulder before he could go up to the deck.

"Excuse me, is this place you speak of real?" Jack asked and the Viking scoffed.

"Of course, and we're passing it now as a matter of fact," the Viking said before he pointed outside to an island that was in the distance and added, "In the center of that mist-shrouded isle lies the treasure of King Ozric."

"Thanks for telling us," I said with a nod before Jack and I went to leave until the Viking flinched and stopped us by clasping his hands on our shoulders.

"Oh, w-w-wait! I beg you two to reconsider since there are only three archers, yet they decimated my whole army while you are just two men so do the math...why attempt it?" the Viking questioned in confusion.

"That well could get us home," Jack said shortly while we gazed out at the island.

"There are other ways to get home," the Viking pointed out and I started looking solemn while I thought about everyone I knew back home.

"Unfortunately, not for us," I stated stoically before Jack and I left the inside of the ship and had the captain lend us a raft with an engine before we drove away from the ship and headed towards the island.

After that, morning came as we stopped at the shore and got out of the raft before we took several steps forward and stopped suddenly as we gazed at the forest, then I felt a chill running down my spine for some reason as the forest looked foreboding with snowflakes coming down around us until we continued walking and entered the forest.

We kept walking through the forest and I looked around the snowy area every now and again as we crossed a log that was above a stream and kept moving until we eventually came to a stop when we saw a warning sign on a tree that had been marked with snow that said 'go back' with a skull right below it as I tensed up.

"Sorry buddy, but we're not turning back," I muttered before we continued moving as the falling snow died down, then we came to a stop at the edge of a large clearing that had a tower in the middle.

I studied the tower and took out my sketchbook before drawing it and the environment since everything around us looked peaceful, but I knew that wouldn't last long while I was finished and put my sketchbook back into my pack until I let out a quiet shaky sigh as I felt nervous, then Jack and I spotted the remains of dead robots that were half-buried in the snow and had arrows sticking out of them.

"Jesus...that Viking wasn't kidding because this looks like a damn massacre," I mumbled in disbelief while I gazed at the sight before us, so I thought about how these three archers the Viking talked about must be expert sharpshooters and quick with bows since it looked like the robots weren't able to get close to the tower and were all killed in seconds.

Jack took a single step and I heard the sound of an arrow being shot at him before the samurai quickly moved his big toe and middle toe out of the way until a single red arrow hit his sandal, then Jack gazed up at the tower with a hardened expression and moved his other foot forward before forcing to move his toes out of the way until three arrows hit his other sandal.

I flinched at what I just saw and was impressed by how quick the archers were before I reached over to tap Jack's shoulder and got him to look at me while I shook my head since this was too risky as I stared up at the top of the tower, then I caught a glimpse of three figures with bows before one of them fired suddenly and the arrows ripped through the right sleeve on Jack's gi before we were forced to back up against two trees and the archers fired more arrows that pinned our clothes against the bark until two more arrows came flying down at our heads.

"Shit!" I yelped in alarm as I moved my head and my arrow struck the tree while Jack used his thumb to send his sword up and his arrow was split in half as the two halves moved in different directions away from Jack's head.

Then we forced ourselves free while our clothes tore until Jack grabbed his sword and we quickly took cover behind the two trees as Jack holstered his sword and the archers fired arrows at the tree he was hiding behind, the arrows hitting the tree and coming through to a stop on the other side while I flinched at how close they were to his head while my clothes repaired themselves, then Jack pulled out his sword and ran out of cover while my eyes widened at the suicidal move.

The archers fired and Jack was forced to leap out of the way to prevent becoming a pincushion as I took out my bow and fired back at the archers quickly until I was forced to duck back into cover to prevent getting shot while Jack rolled and sliced more arrows until he ducked back into cover as several arrows struck the tree, just before I started thinking and peered out briefly before I noticed that they weren't firing at me and an idea came to me as I looked at Jack.

I slowly gestured for him to hand me his hat and Jack gave it to me, then I held the hat out of cover with one hand and moved it up and down slightly but the archers didn't shoot before I decided to test something and dropped the hat, just before it landed onto the snowy ground with a slight noise before the archers shot it and my eyes widened in realization as I looked at Jack.

"They're blind," I mouthed while covering my eyes to show what I was talking about, then Jack nodded while he looked to have come to the same conclusion as we peered out and I squinted my eyes for a better look to see that the archers looked like black humanoid rodents but their eyes were completely white as they stood still like soldiers at attention.

Jack motioned for me to follow him and we carefully backed away while making sure to stay silent until we got far enough away and Jack led me to a waterfall before he had me remove my hoodie, shirt, and shoes before folding up the clothes and placing them next to my shoes while Jack took off his gi and sandals and placed them next to my clothes until I was guided to the waterfall and he had me sit in a lotus position with the water soaking my fur as I gazed at him.

"What are we doing?" I asked as Jack sat down next to me.

"Now it is time for you to begin the next step of your training, where you are to learn how to enhance your other senses," Jack told me and I was surprised to hear that.

"Is that even possible?" I questioned while Jack let out a calming breath and placed his palms together while he also closed his eyes.

"My Sifu once taught me that to become a great warrior, you must be in tune with all of your senses, and only then will you be able to extend your awareness so that you may fight on any level, now to defeat those archers, we must fight on their level," Jack told me and I realized what he meant since we would have to be blind ourselves if we wanted to have an edge against the three blind archers.

"I...think I understand what you mean by that," I said thoughtfully, then Jack opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Good, now let us begin so close your eyes and clear your mind of any distractions," Jack instructed before I obliged by closing my mind and letting out a slow calming breath.

Pretty soon, I had followed Jack's instructions on what to do and now we were standing in a part of the forest near the waterfall after I was given a long white cloth that was part of Jack's obi and was instructed to blindfold myself, then I covered my eyes with the cloth and tied it around my head before I waited for a short time and everything around me started becoming clearer, sharper than they are now and I was amazed at what I was experiencing since I can now hear deer grazing from a distance, birds fluttering their wings, the wind blowing gently around us, drops of water landing, and many more as well as the sound of snowflakes falling and hitting the ground being amplified ten-fold.

"Incredible, my hearing can detect everything around me at a 360-degree angle," I gasped in astonishment.

"Then you are ready, now let us go and keep that blindfold on," Jack said before we went over to where our clothes were, getting our weapons and heading to where the tower was at.

After that, we stood at the edge of the clearing while I had my bow out and was only wearing my jeans with my torso and digitigrade paws exposed to the elements as I started clenching my bow since I couldn't see anything, but my hearing will more than make up for it before Jack and I started running to the tower and I could hear the archers' arrows being drawn until they fired at us.

Jack and I headed to the right just before the arrows struck the ground where we used to be and kept running as the archers fired arrow after arrow at us but kept missing as we ran and zigzagged across the field during our approach to the tower before we made it to the side and stayed quiet so that the archers didn't know where we were, then we ran up the side of the wall and made it to the top before jumping to avoid getting shot.

We flew through the air and landed on the top of the tower before my ears picked up the sound of the archers firing single arrows at us and everything seemed to slow down as I focused on the sound of the nocks fluttering from the breeze and just as the arrows were about to hit us, Jack ducked and I jumped as the arrows hit each other before I spun in a 360-degree direction and fired three arrows in quick succession until I heard each arrow striking each archer in perfect accuracy.

I landed and removed my blindfold while I was stunned that I actually hit them without seeing anything as the archers convulsed with electricity sparking off of them until their bodies started changing with their black forms melting off and revealing that they were three bald nearly nude men who had false Egyptian beards and no eyes as the black slime oozed over to the well in the middle before flowing in just as one of the men groaned and clutched his face.

"Where...?" the man groaned out as he looked up with his eyes forming and he started looking shocked as the same thing happened to his two friends.

"I can see," the man gasped as the other two met up with him with expressions of astonishment.

"We're restored," the second man pointed out as the three men looked at each other's hands.

"How is this possible?" the third man questioned before they looked at me and Jack before I sent them a single nod in acknowledgment.

"You two have broken our curse, we thank you," the third man said before he and the other two lowered their heads gratefully while Jack bowed.

"It's no problem, we were happy to help and we're here to make a wish at this well," I said with a warm smile and the third man gestured at the object in question.

"The well is yours," the third man stated before Jack and I turned around, heading towards the well and going up the steps before gazing down at the pool of darkness that swirled and bubbled.

"Proclaim your wish, great warriors, and it will be fulfilled beyond your wildest dreams," a voice spoke from the well and I could see Jack closing his eyes in relief.

"Bradley, our quest has finally come to an end," Jack told me, but I was uncertain about this and had a bad feeling while Jack started to speak and was cut off by one of the three men.

"Wait, we must warn you both that any wish granted comes with a price because it was long ago that we fought long and hard to reach this well and when we arrived, we stood before the well and wished to be the greatest of warriors, then the spirit of the well did indeed make us great warriors but robbed us of our sight and our minds while enslaving us as its personal guards.

We have lived cursed lives until now, so the choice is yours," the first man warned and I bit my lip in thought until I reached a decision and looked at Jack.

"Jack, we can't use this well because it is obviously dark magic that was created by Aku, so what we need to do is destroy it before it ruins any more lives," I stated darkly, then Jack started trembling with gritted teeth and sweat running down his face before he pulled out his sword and raised it above the well.

"Evil spirit of the well, you will not claim another innocent so we wish thee destroyed!" Jack declared loudly before he went and stabbed the black liquid, then a bright light erupted until the black liquid shot up into the air before becoming a spiral in the sky and vanishing as the well became empty.

Jack holstered his sword and I sent one last nod at the three men who looked stunned before we climbed down the top of the tower and left this terrible place and, even if we made such a huge sacrifice, it was for the greater good and no one else will be hurt by the well again as we went to get the rest of our things and didn't look back while we left the island.

A/N Well, that was fun writing down Brad using his other senses to his advantage and having his skill as a bowman being tested by the archers so I hope you enjoyed it since the next chapter is going to have him and Jack face off against their dark selves that had been created by Aku to kill them, though I don't know if Brad can kill Aku and vice versa so I'll have to make it up as I go along and say they can since they're both magical beings, so it would make sense they can hurt or kill each other.

So, let me know what you think and stay tuned.
