2190….Reapers collect dust in the vastness of the Milky Way galaxy…Waste left by the rare unity of a diverse space fleet among the civilized worlds of Council races. In the cleanup following their victory, the surviving races of the galaxy discover a Reaper of planet-size proportions—likened to the size of Luna, the corpse rotates endlessly in orbit with Sol—the human cluster of planets….Expeditions into the vast hulk determine a startling find.

A city….and its name is Lothiraxl.

With the Reapers destroyed, the Citadel in ruins, and much of the galaxy's organic survivors seeking questions, a liaison is sent to explore the city living inside what is now labeled as the Grim Reaper System, and contact is established with Lothiraxl's mysterious, deeply hidden and shy denizens…..They welcome the outside races to Lothiraxl.

And many go…Some think the Reapers are still masters, others are the scientific—hoping to harness the endless and unaffectable power of the strange city, and there are those who only seek to live in a place that promises to provide for its welcome new guests….But few ever go find its true gears of existence….What allows Lothiraxl to run and still so after the Great War….No one knows even ten years later from its discovery.

For one human woman, the draw of Lothiraxl is more compelling than discovery, religious fanaticism, or poverty's utopic answer….The very skin of her feels to be a part of it.
